We saw bad wolves and had a blast. Only cons are no cigarette machine and the drinks aren t cheap but that s not surprising at a place this popular. If you go you will have fun.

The staff and actors were amazing and so hospitable. You will not leave feeling left out. By the time dinner is over you will have made at least one friend. Highly recommend. The food was great as well.
Very nostalgic, warm and inviting. It is a big barn like structure that makes you feel like you are at a barn dance and club all at one time.
I think this is a great place to see a live show, there isn't a bad view anywhere in the venue. Sound quality is excellent and its a really intimate atmosphere.. Drink prices aren't too bad and the staff was extremely friendly.
We went to the dinner murder/mystery.
OMG! BORING! Watching grass grow is more exciting! The food is bland, like wedding food. We walked out after the main course.
$100.00 for the two of us was a major waste..
Go bowling instead.
The food was great. I didn't care for the entertainment too much but it was free and you can just move inside away from it which I did. Staff was great. This is a great place to eat if you like eating and weird creepy places which I do.
The deck at the house of blues for live music is fun. Nice outdoor area. Drinks and food. Wish they had a few more food options. Its a smokehouse menu. Pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket sandwiches. Only appetizers were nachos (not great, all topping just on top layer. Leaves u with tons of chips in a basket no toppings) and a soft pretzel With cheese. Smokehouse wings and maybe jalapeno peppers would be awesome addition. And maybe fries or onion rings to go with sandwiches. (Currently u get a bag of chips or fruit). Or a salad option. Would have ordered more food if they had more appetizers options to pick off of while listening to the music.
Went to the Dr. Screams haunted trail on Saturday Night and waited an hour and a half just to go in and we were out in probably less than 10 minutes. It was pretty awesome but would have been 10x better if it would have been a little longer. Definitely going to the one at Broadway next year
Great concert venue. Came here for my first concert years ago and every concert since have had a good time. They organize the lines in a good manor and are easy with getting people in. Tons of viewing areas with a raised stage so you can see. Wish more artists recognized Myrtle Beach and came here more often!
My husband and I along with some friends including one of which is a friend of the guys in Shinedown went to Myrtle Beach to see them in concert at the House of Blues. The inside of HOB is so funky with all the random artwork on the walls and watching the staff prepare for the night was cool to see how much goes in to getting the place set up and how well everyone works together. One of the things I noticed is that during the show Security guards along the front of the pit were passing out cups of ice water to the concert goers that were packed in. We were in the VIP room and had a security guard and waitress that was checking in with us both of which were upbeat and cool people. If you get the opportunity to take in a show definitely splurge on the good seats!
I often visit fond memories of this restaurant. The menu and venue are unique. This is my goto spot whenever I'm in Myrtle Beach.
Nice change of pace at Myrtle Beach. We enjoyed a relaxing dinner and then the live entertainment on the patio.
Awesome show, friendly staff...all around great venue
Came to see Jon Pardi, got here early. Doors were to open at 6:00....it s 6:40 and still not open. Sign out front says no pass the line for tonight s event. We have been moved to stand in the dirt in HEELS as people continue to be taken past us!! I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!!
Went with a party of 8, plenty of room at the bar or patio while we waited with live music playing. We all got something different to eat and everyone really loved the food. Definitely recommend.
The show was great. Needs more seating area. Overall, had a great time.
Polina at Hollywood pictures was great. The restaurant had great food.
The House of Blues was an excellent experience. Go there for happy hour. Also, we highly recommend sitting outside at "The Deck".
Especially if you get to listen to the cover band "Kings County".
The bartenders were knowledgeable and super friendly. The food was delicious and the price was VERY reasonable.
We talk about this in a review @ Two Tenderfoot Tourists podcast. Episode 5! IOS or Android. Check it out!
Excellent music venue & good food & atmosphere ! Going tonight !!!!
We were there for the gospel brunch on Sunday and had a lot of fun. There is a live concert on stage, but the audience was also involved a lot during our visit. So there were several questions about birthdays or anniversaries and then an extra serenade of the son. In addition, the microphone was brought from table to table and someone from the table had to sing a few stanzas .. luckily we had locals at the table who did it They meant everyone knew the song there, since it was always in with the children the Bible lesson and in Bible camps etc. is sung. The southern typical food (Mac & Cheese, fried chicken, vegetables and sweet dessert etc.) was really delicious! With fresh fruit and cake for dessert. At the end of the buffet there is a bar with staff, where you can have meat cut off or have an omelette cooked to your liking. The price includes tea (including sweetened iced tea) and coffee. Without extra drinks, we paid $ 95 including tax and tip for 2 people.
Saw Thunderstruck and they were great. The staff was super helpful. Definitely will be back.
Amazing dinner, service and hospitality. The food was exceptional and the service was wonderful (ask for Nicole). What a great job they did providing an exceptional customer experience - it blew away our expectations. Can't wait to see the show tonight. Special thanks to Dominique the manager for stopping by to check in on us.
Best place for a music show live, not too big, not too small...perfect!
We made the mistake of going here before asking a local about it. He told us it sucked. He was right. Service was terrible. It took forever to get two simple sandwiches out from the kitchen. Server was unattentative. When the meal finally came it was wrong. I had a French dip sandwich and it was so stringy I almost choked on it. I ordered sweet potato fries and they brought regular. Then it took another forever to get the right fries. Finally, when the server brought the bill, it had somebody else s food on it. Save yourself some time and aggravation. Don t go there!
Fun concert. Great venue. Band (the stranger) was awesome.
Good food, good service, pretty pricey for comfort food. I have to say my blackened MAHI sandwich was quite good and our server was on the job and took very good care of us
The murder mystery show was a fluke for $50 as the acting and whole story line was just very childish and not worth my $150 for me and my friends at all and the dinner was bland and cooked for the masses.
Absolutely love this place. Food is great, live music is wonderful and service is outstanding! Lakedia, who was our server, is very funny and helpful. Definitely recommend.
Got Free Tickets to See a cover band there. Had Lots of Fun.
I give this place a 2 because the food was decent. Our server was friendly but not very welcoming. She brought my wife and I a glass of water to start with, which was nice. I ordered a Diet Pepsi and my wife stuck with the old trusty water with lemon. One double gulp into the Diet Pepsi and something seemed... off. I asked my wife to try it and she sniffed it once and didn't want to try it. She tried it reluctantly and took it from me and dared me to finish it. It tasted nothing like Pepsi and more so how cleaner smells. I didn't say anything and decided to stick with water. The waitress brought us a refill of water and my wife takes a drink only to see a gnat floating in it. We politely tell the waitress there is a gnat floating in her water. She quickly apologizes, giggles, then goes and gets another water. Before my wife took a drink she looked and sure enough there was another gnat. I know it wasn't the first one because she dug it out and I was still smeared on the edge of the table. Again the waitress gives a shallow apology, giggles, then goes into the kitchen this time and comes out with a water. Needless to say it wasn't drunk. I know accidents happen but no real apology or offer to make it right, but instead laughing about it. I felt was a little uncalled for. Besides if they can't keep bugs out of their water how can they keep bugs out of their food.
Lots of people, standing room only! Great cover band! Great sound! Thorough security, which is great. Lots of parking, great bar, clean restrooms. I had a blast!
Great entertainment lots of food service great waitress answered all our questions re history of place decorated chair bench made from license plates ,old shoes around lights , ceiling
I visited with my family for the Gospel Brunch. One of our party had a lot of food allergies and we called ahead about options for the buffet. The whole staff was incredibly professional and we we're told to speak to Chef Juan when we arrived. He walked us around the buffet and pointed out what was safe and then prepared some additional chicken to meet our needs. It was all above and beyond our expectations. Very nicely done!!
The buffet was great for the rest of us as well. There was an omelette station, carving station and selections of breakfast and lunch. Everything was very clean and kept hot and fresh. There was also a Bloody Mary bar which we took part in, which was fun.
The music was great! A lot of audience participation! Overall this was a great brunch option for our family and we were all really pleased with the experience.
Why should we have to pay to sit down ? Won t be back
Great venue for music. The food is very high priced.
Food was fabulous. Server had the best personality. Music venue was as great as we expected.
I enjoy the shows at myrtle beach house of blues because of the artists who come there. I have lived all over the states and this is truly the most pathetic house of blues I have ever been to. The sound equipment definitely needs to be upgraded, I have seen a display of several artists that are very displeased with its performance, or lack there of also the prices on beverages are completely outrageous. The lack of space inside is no excuse for lackluster either. As long as this place has been in business and as much money as they make mostly off the locals that supported they should highly consider upgrading the experience. As a journalist many years ago are used to receive and process as for HOB I m aware of the revenue that they take in. The experience could pull even more revenue in if they truly wanted to increase their popularity, standards and increase capacity and lower beverage prices. The high drink prices used to be contributed to the factor that South Carolina had a mini bottle law but this has not existed for several years now.
They now serve food and have built an outside deck where you can bring your dogs, but we all know house of blues as a concert hall, so why don t we pick up the pace and get with the times House of Blues?
The outdoor deck with live music has great atmosphere. It's free to come in and has lots of open seating , which is quite comfortable. Good drinks. The food is quite lacking, the restaurant seems to have much greater selection and quality. Aside from that we'll be coming back to enjoy live bands.
Great Venue for live music. I love the outside deck with free shows and reasonable drink prices. My only complaints are they have too many "tribute" bands in the music hall and the drink prices are pretty high over there. Overall, it is a great place and the best place to see live music since the Purple Gator shut down and the Pirate's Cove got new owners.
Loved the whole experience here! The food was great, the staff very attentive and knowledge. Would totally recommend the Sunday Gospel Brunch
Unique cultural experience! Live gospel music on Sundays and truly delicious southern cuisine. Bread pudding is to die for!
Went for brunch. The singing was awesome and so was the food. We had a great time. This will now be an annual stop when I go to the beach.
Great place and friendly staff, Lakedia was amazing and we loved having her help us. She gave us great recommendations and took the time to tell us about the menu. Can't wait to come back for another great meal and show!
Saw Tuesday's gone, a lynard skynard tribute band. Got free tickets from our hotel. my first time at a house of blues. It was a neat place with cool decor. You have to wait outside until doors open, but doors opened on the dot and the line moved fast. $2 item check at security. They allow lighters. They sell sandwiches and food like fried shrimp at the concert bar. popcorn and pretzles are $3.
Was there for a benefit concert for hurricane victims. Good music.
Didn't love my food but this place is beautiful. We were there on a Monday so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Was able to look around and appreciate all the art. The manager even gave us a private tour. Back stage & all. Very cool right down to the bathrooms.
Terrible communication! My family was excited about going initially. We called at 8pm and asked when they stopped serving and we were told 10 and that they would be serving ribs at the deck. We arrived at 9 and it was like pulling teeth to get someone to direct us or help. We got to the deck and were told that today they weren't serving food at the deck but they usually do. Then we walked over to restaurant and waiters were intentionally trying to not make eye contact so we could ask to be served. Then the hostess tell us they are not serving anyone else. I look at my watch and it says 910. There were plenty of tables available. And when we told the hostess we were told on the phone we would have time to be served she look at us like we were lying. They didn't offer carry out or even seem like they cared about serving us. Highly disappointed and plan on never coming back. They need to work on communication and being consistent across the board.
Set on the new back patio to hear Tim Clark in his band. Great atmosphere work can't wait for the weather to warm up so and we can enjoy it even more.
Great food. Friendly manager and staff. Comfortable and spacious.
Worth eating here just to see inside the place, great decorations. Breakfast buffet is a good deal.
Nice place. Not a lot of people in the place I guess off season...lol
Was going to the Incubus concert and come to find out the show was postponed due to the lead singer being sick. Really wish the HOB would have done a better job at notifying us that the show was postponed instead of waiting until we got there. Posting on facebook doesn't always work.
Great Place for breakfast at 9.99 and they make your eggs the way you want them on the spot.
Went to HOB for a blue October show. Blue October was amazing as always but, this HOB was terrible. We ordered nachos...just plain cheese nachos and it took nearly 25 minutes to get them and they were terrible...I have no other words...
I really like the music they have in their establishment but their drinks were very pricey
Wonderful place. Went there for our 1st anniversary. Cool atmosphere. Wonderful waitress and can't wait to go back as soon as they reopen. Dang virus!!!!!
The food was great but the band was hard to listen to! It was some kinda of music I've never heard. This is just my opinion. You may have liked it?
Fantastic business. Great food, great entertainment, really neat floorplan and building. Glad I went there.
Honestly not the best venue to see a show. If it's packed, it will be hard to get a good view of the stage if you are not on the floor or in a seat. The standing room only areas kind of suck, and I'm a pretty tall guy. Get there early if you don't have a special ticket. Great bands though, and the sound was really good.
Would have been a 5 but I'm getting to old to stand for whole show.
