I'm an event planner out of NC who is contracted by the radio station to do front of house mamagment for the CCMA's. This is my 2nd year doing it. And I have to say I love working with your staff they all always go above and beyond. Luke is always so great. The building is fun and has so much to offer. Thank you for having wonderful staff.
Recently attended the restaurant for our friends engagement. The service by Jameson was incredible, he couldn't have been more helpful or professional!!! Kenny came to make sure our experience was perfect constantly & Kayla, the manager was outstanding in all areas. The food was excellent & great value for money & the surroundings were perfect!!! Thank you HOB for a fantastic experience!!!!
Well I give the food a 5+++. Was great. Best bread pudding I've had. I give the concert venue a 3. Folks pay extra to 'skip the line's. They let general admission thru before skip the line was thru. We complained but it was down played. H of B in Orlando ran it right when we were there.
The food was superb! Our waitress Danyelle was super friendly! The atmosphere is very relaxing for a live entertainment restaurant. I will definitely be back for more!
Loved this place! Sat at the bar while we waited for a table. Friendly staff and we didn't have to wait on drinks. The food was amazing! I had the pulled pork sandwich. The Memphis sauce was my favorite, but my sister in law and fiance both loved the Carolina sauce. Rest of the family had tacos, family fried chicken platter, ribs, and pulled pork. All of them had glowing reviews of their meals. Loved the atmosphere. Outside had live music. Definitely a highlight of our vacation!
Came to Myrtle Beach (first timer) to see Boney James. Beautiful, unique restaurant. Husband loved his ribs. I had the Impossible Burger. Absolutely delicious, but the brand of patty did not deserve the special touch HOB bestowed upon it. I hope they find another vegan patty (ie, black bean or something homemade) to add to their wonderful menu. (We ll let BK keep it in the fast food industry). Now, the bread pudding? No words except amazing, decadent. Loved the live !
Will try to visit Myrtle during warmer times, too. Very nice city.
The mystery was funny, we were packed in tightly, it was loud and the food was dry. You don't get to pick your meal. In different circumstances I would say go see it.
I went to the Murder Mistry Dinner this weekend here in Myrtle Beach and what a horrible experience. Where we were seated, we couldn t see what was going on in the isle. You could hardly hear what the actors were saying due to the poor sound system. The other people that was seated next to us was drunk and loud. The food was so bland and such a small portion. I wasted my money and more importantly, my time. I will be sure to share my experience with everyone I know interested in heading to HOB.
We have attended the Gospel Brunch many time and always have a great experience. I have eating there a few times before a concert next door. Great Place for Shows and Dining!
If you like the Eagles-and who doesn't sing along when one of their 8 gazillion hits comes on- see On The Border if they come around. They're beyond a tribute band, they are note perfect.
Best staff I've encountered at any venue. Only one staff member had a bad attitude. All the rest greeted you with a smile and was nothing but pleasant. Whatever you guys are doing there keep on doing it! They thanked us for coming out and were nothing but nice in every interaction.
Due to a bad hip I needed ADA accommodations for seating. The seats weren't the most comfortable but they were seats and allowed me to be able to enjoy 2 nights of shows. They never made those of us in the ADA section feel bad or like we were a problem. Many other venues aren't as accommodating.
Staff Member 18 was the one I saw the most this weekend and no matter what was going on he had kind words for everyone.
Came here for gospel brunch and it was such an incredible experience. The music was exciting and the food was so incredible. Their were options like, make your own omelette, or catfish, and even a tasty little dessert selection.
Josie Dunn and Moon Taxi! Fantastic show. Great venue. We had a great dinner first. Entry was quick into the venue. All in all a great night and lots of fun.
I've been here two times as of August 2018. Both have been an enjoyable experience. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the venue always hosts good acts. Only problem I have had was an advance dining ticket I bought they did not know how to ring up and took about an hour of a cat and mouse chase to figure out. Other than that staff was friendly and this place boasts a great atmosphere.
They hate freedom. Not an exceptional establishment & are known for harassing guests, particularly the bands who play here. Jamey Johnson concert cancelled. Sad.
Absolutely loved House of Blues! My husband and I came in to get a small bite & drinks before the Nothing More and Bad Wolves show. We bought our tickets through Live Nation which also allowed us to purchase $20 meal tickets and gain early entry. The hostess sent us to the bar so we didn't have to wait on a table. Since there had not been an option to print these tickets they were only in my app. The bartender was new and asked the manager to come help with the transaction. He asked for my ID and went to get out actual tickets (the app says just to show them on the app) while we ate. When he came back, he had all four tickets and we were set. We were running late (our hotel had our room ready an hour late!) so we weren't going to get in much earlier, but the staff at House of Blues did everything they could to take care of us. And the food was wonderful as well. The show was amazing and it is a perfect sized venue. Definitely want to come back some day!
While the food is decent and the beer selection is ok, this is a horrible venue to see a show unless you buy VIP seats, or secure your spot early. Your best bet is to buy VIP seats if you want any hope of seeing the band. You are up close and personal with the band in this venue because it is a smaller venue, but the layout is just terrible. If you still decide to go with general admission you can skip the line by either paying outright for it or you can get a pass by spending money at the bar\restaraunt. The catch to the bar\restaurant route is that you have to spend $25 per person, so if you go that route I suggest making reservations well in advance of your event. We tried this and by the time our food came the line was already gone and we could not find anywhere to stand where we could even see the band. When this venue is full it is also extremely hot and that was in May. I would hate to see what it is like in the hotter months.
Awesome place to stop by so much artwork make sure to look up at the ceiling too! Very cool to experience make sure to put it on you list of things to do: eat at house of blues!
My fraternity hosted a 100 person dinner event in the Indigo room and had a fantastic time. Prior to the event the reservation and sales team were extremely responsive and accommodating and at the event the staffers (bartender and bouncers) were very professional and inviting. The food was excellent with more than enough provided and the physical room was exactly what we needed for our event and then some as I was not expecting it to be so awesomely decorated. I would suggest the House of Blues for any large group event in Myrtle Beach.
Crossroads @ House of Blues Myrtle Beach was one of the best meals I had during my trip to Myrtle Beach. I went with the Chile Braised Short Rips with the Corn Pudding and asparagus and it was delicious. Awesome flavor and really not a bad price for the area. I also had the Chocolate & Banana break pudding which was absolutely amazing! The service was also great especially considering how busy they were before a concert. Plus, if you eat at Crossroads before the show you get to skip the line and get into the show before everyone else. I will most certainly eat here my next trip to MB.
Cool shows but there sound system needs an upgrade if you're not right in front of the stage and off to the side it is very distorted and hard to hear any lyrics.
Great night out. Staff are very friendly and quick. Security is top notch. Only problem I had was the seating. The chair was metal and made for a small person. Had to keep standing up to restore life to my butt.
I thoroughly enjoyed the concert until the last 10 or 15 minutes. As a person with a disability, never in my life have I felt so much sadness for the way I was treated at this show. Despite the fact that I have been seizure free for about 2 years, occasionally my epilepsy causes me to feel dizzy and I cannot stand. During one particular song of the concert the strobe lights kicked on and afterward and felt shaky and knew I needed to sit. As I headed toward the bar I saw some people at a table, all of them were standing and not using their seats. I asked politely if I could sit and the guy said yes. After the show ended I went back to my boyfriend, then the encore started and I thought I should go try to find another seat. I went back to the same spot, asked for permission again, and sat quietly. Keep in mind I was not drinking, drunk, under the influence of anything, I was simply sick. Then security walks over and asks me if I have a wristband to sit there, I look at the man who had given me permission and explain I had asked him. It turns out his girlfriend got mad and got security. I just looked at him and said, If it was an issue why didn t you just say no? I was so disappointed. At least now security was with me so I could explain to him why I needed a seat and that I wasn t feeling okay. The venue had many steps but had clearly stated that patrons were not to sit on them. When I explained to the security representative why I had asked to sit there in the first place, he looked at me and said If you don t feel good step outside and get some air or something, they paid for the wristbands so you can t sit there. And then he walked away. I was shocked. I told this man that I was epileptic and that I felt ill and all he cared about was the guy and his girlfriend who paid for the seat even though I asked both times. I was so angry, confused, and frustrated with the entirety of that 5 or so minutes that I just stood there staring at my phone and looking back and the people who were so rude. I couldn t text my boyfriend because there was no cell service, obviously security didn t care that I might have a seizure. So I just stood there. When the show ended I rushed back to my boyfriend and we left. Even now as I type this I feel so disgusted by the way I was treated here and frankly if I had a seizure in The House of Blues after all of that there would be a lawsuit. EVEN if I wasn t disabled and sick, if someone expressed that they are in medical distress to your patrons and security and they treat you like that maybe some evaluation of policy, atmosphere, and practices needs to happen. I feel so saddened. I truly just needed to sit somewhere.
The girl groped me, the place is dirty. bathroom wasn t clean, also saw a cockroach. i would never recommend this place to ANYONE! Staff was horrible!!!!
