We ordered take out late on a Saturday. The fettuccine alfredo did not have any alfredo sauce in the bag when we got it home. It was to late to go back so it was a waste of money. The chicken sandwich was only ok. For the money you can get much better food somewhere else.

My latest visit to houlihans was with my mother for her birthday. The experience was nice. The food here it is very flavorful and comes out very fast at lunch time. It is a great stop to grab a quick quality meal. The cocktails taste great. The staff is great. When visiting around lunch or dinner time the parking lot can get a little wild.

What a great experience, my kids and their familie...

What a great experience, my kids and their families and me andy husband arrived on a steamy hot afternoon, the staff hussled to ready a long table for the 13 of us, they were attentive and so sweet to bring baby carrots and dip for the kids, they just did it. The entire experience was wonderful and the food was also memerable. Great people, highly recommend.

Good, but starting to tatter around the edges. Bar is getting dirty; food sensitivity is falling off. Had to send an item back that was cold, because no one appeared to be running food and when they did bring it out, they brought it all at once; salads, apps, and main course all piled up on the bar, some of which already "died" in the window. BTW, the item we sent back was returned to our bar top microwaved (now overcooked) and still cold, LOL.

Issues with food quality and proper pacing lies with the window person's calls off the ticket to each station. Never should the line fire a fish before the apps are on the table. Management should be all over food quality. The explanation given kind of felt like they were placing the burden of 86'ed food losses on the customer.

To all that work at the LSMO store: Sorry, but the truth needs to be told. I'm not asking for any compensation or free food, I only ask that management take a closer look at what's happening at this store.

We will back but will be on the lookout for gaps in the amour .

I had the steak wedge salad with a Cabernet Sauvignon. Very nice combination. The asparagus was perfectly crisp yet tender. A nice touch with Houlihans wedge is a slice of gorgonzola Ithat I chose to pair with each bite of the perfectly prepared medium steak. Diced beets, bacon, spicy pecans, and the polenta croutons are just brilliant. I would order this again.

Showed up. Asked how long the wait was. Hostess said she doesnt know and that I should plan ahead at 4p.m. I asked for her name and walked out because she acted as if we were stupid for showing up well before the dinner rush. Won't go back and we have been regulars for years

Houlihan's has been okay each visit. I've yet to be impressed by the food, but that's fine, I'm sure i will be back eventually. Their happy hour specials make a trip worth it. Just be sure to sit in the bar area to be able to take part of said happy hour.

They messed up my order completely & I wasn't compensated Anything. I had to wait on them to correct the order & I had to make it "to go" because everyone at my table was finished eating by the time I finally got my food Which is Nothing Spectacular, just food.

The food is just too high priced for such small portions. I paid 16 bucks for a single piece of fish and a small order of fries they call chips. I challenge the manager to go buy Arby's two for 6 fish sandwich with a large fry and you'll pay less than 10 bucks and have more food.

I and 4 others had Thanksgiving dinner at Houlihan's. We arrived at 2:30 and were promptly seated but didn't leave until 4:40 due to the incredibly poor service. It was obvious there were not enough servers to take care of the crowd. There was a long delay between every step of the meal: ordering the drinks and having them served, ordering our meals and having them served and the same thing happened with the dessert.. We ordered 2 Pumpkin and 1 Apple pie but they brought the reverse. It took forever to get a coffee or water refill. When ordering, we explained we needed 3 separate checks. Obviously the server didn't make a note of that and brought us one check, which she then had to go back and change into 3 checks. There was a very long delay between when we finished our entree and dessert was brought to the table. Nonetheless the dirty dishes sat on the table the entire time despite the fact we had been served more coffee and another server had come to the table. Apparently, they didn't notice the table was full of dirty dishes.

As far as the food was concerned, my soup was good but not hot when served. I had the turkey dinner and it was over-priced but okay. The green beans were hard and undercooked, the dressing was unexceptional and I thought it odd no roll was served with the meal. The pumpkin pie was definitely not homemade. Mrs. Smith's would have been a big improvement.

The server was pleasant but inefficient. She needed more training. However, the bottom line is they did not have enough people to handle
the large crowd.

The service is always a great experience for me! I love their apps and happy hour. I usually get the ahi tuna salad which I loveeee. This time I tried their ramen bowl. It was weird. It was not bad, the flavor was great. It just had no broth... and there was lettuce in it? Which was odd to me. Again, not bad... just not like boru or shio ramen. Broth is my fav.

Barely a word was said when we finally got seated. Then had to wait almost 20 minutes for our waiter, who had horrible people skills. We got our drinks 10 minutes later and finally placed our order. Our food came 30 minutes later, it was bad, it was so, so bad. Soup was cold, shrimp was soft and mushy and salad was under dressed and starting to wilt. How people can stand to eat here and the fact that this place is still open is beyond me. A complete joke of an establishment.

Food was good, and the menu was brilliantly adverse. But, I'm withdrawn on going back because I Had a racial incedint not a minute into being in the place, with my family and another family, and our waiter not being able to read a situation. They didnt have a hostess that evening, and although our waiter was brilliant. He assumed my daughter was with the black couple, who came in after us. I wouldn't say every Houihans is this way, this is just my reason for giving them a three, instead of a five.

Great food, great service. I mentioned that my wrap didn't taste like I had remembered it from when I've ordered it before & the manager came over and offered a free dessert. We turned him down but then he removed my meal from our tab which wasn't necessary at all but it was a great gesture on their part.

I absolutely love this place. I just moved to Missouri and was happy when i realized it was one in town. Anyone that knows me, know i have dessert first, that's a must! I tried the salted carmel cake and it was oh so good! Then I ordered the Kansas City burger for my entree...yummy yummy! The ranch is some of the best ranch I've had. The thickness of the fries was perfect with the consistency of the ranch. My server was really nice and attentive despite having others to wait on. Definitely will be back!

I used to love Houlihan's. I ate at the one on the Plaza numerous times. The same for Lee Summit. I can only say that they have out-price themselves as far as I'm concerned. There are many upscale restaurants in Kansas City and Houlihan's this about a B or B- for me. The prices at lunch are $15 or more and I will not return. I had chicken piccata and it was very good but not worth the money in the middle of the day. If we had not had a $10 off coupon we would have left and gone somewhere else. I can see why they are in bankruptcy they need some help. Food was fine but overpriced, service was very good.

I have enjoyed dinning here on multiple occasions and have not been disappointed. The servers are pleasant and very attentive to my needs. The food is always very good, I especially like the meat loaf. Prices seem to be pretty average for this caliber of restaurant. My wife and I have always had a great dinning experience here.

I asked for a well done burger. Took a couple of bites to find that it was very pink so I advised a waitress, which was not my original waitresses, just one that had bought another order to our table. When she returned, she had the same burger that I had bitten from with a new bun. GROSS. I expressed my complaint and she sent the manager over. The manager advised that this is normal and they would not have made a new burger. I stated that I felt like that was very nasty being that I had bitten from it. She said they put it back on the grill at 400 degrees and any germs would be killed from the heat. I declined anymore food. When my original waitress came back she apologized, and agreed with me that she didn t think they should have done that. She stated that when that happens she typically just reorders the meal and she wasn t aware that they weren t making a new burger. As we were talking, the manager walked past and said to the waitress Are we still talking about that burger geesh RUDE. I will be sure to escalate this further than google. Aside from our group spending over $100, I did still tip the waitress because she was great and did her job well!

We went for lunch and ordered lettuce wraps and chicken wings. The lettuce for the lettuce wrap were old and slimy. We had to pick through the lettuce to find a couple pieces that were edible. The bone in chicken wings that we ordered were the smallest chicken wings I ve ever seen. They were dry and barely had any meat on them. Overall it was an underwhelming meal that was not worth the money that was spent on it.

After our meal which was good, I asked if I could get creme brulee to go. Waitress said sure. They had turned it upside down and did not carmalize the top so just had a thick granular coating. Maybe carmalize the top with a torch before putting it in the to go container??? Or is that too much effort for the cook???? Probably won't be back again.

We have few dining choice in Lee Summit so I kept giving Houlihan's a chance. They failed for the last time. We were seated by the kitchen, ordered an appetizer and our meals. As we sat there our table had swarms of nats flying all around. Once the appetizer arrived they increased in count. We kindly notified our waitress and asked for them to box our food to go and recommended they not seat anyone at this table until they got the issue handled. She was apologetic but we never had anyone else come over to address the issue with us. We sat waiting for over 50 minutes for our meals. Everyone in our party left to wait in the car while I waited to flag the waitress down again to tell her we were leaving - she was no where to be found. FINALLY the manager walked up non-chalantely with our bags of food. I mentioned that it took "forever" for our food -- her response: "yeah, I wanted to make sure they were all right". Never an apology from her. We were not charged and they tried to offer me a voucher which I refused. It was such a horrible experience and a horrible management response to the entire issue we will never go back and I will never recommend this place.

This place is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. Whenever I feel like having a superb lunch, this restaurant comes instantly to my mind. fresh and varied food and a large menu.well mannered staff, and good mood. Also, the expence is honest. I tell about this spot with no doubt.
