Posted a review 10 months ago it was bad back then but it used to be a fav of mine sooooo I went back... and here I sit STILL DISAPPOINTED not one more time but 2 more times!!!!! Went and had a dinner date with my husband a few months back, ordered salmon... taste and presentation was lack luster very disappointing.. left their and went to a movie... half way through the movie about an hour and a half after dinner we have to leave the movie because I became violently ill!! I won t paint you a picture but the next morning I was better no doubt about it... had to get all the food poising out!! Now fast forward to just 2 nights ago. My sons 6th grade graduation night and he gets to pick wherever he wants to go to dinner for his celebration! He of course chose houlihans and since I told him wherever he wanted I called! I called to see if I could call ahead or make a reservation! This was to be for 6 people (one being a baby) for 8pm! I called around 530pm and the girl I spoke to was flat out RUDE!!!! She said well your just going to have to wait when you get here because I m just too busy to make a reservation! Sat there and explained this to me for probably 2 or 3 minuets when a reservation would have taken less time than that! Last name, party number and time, DONE! I said 10 months ago that I would never be back and attempted to 2 times to give them another shot and not I can guarantee we will NEVER BE BACK! And I plan on telling everyone about my experiences!!

Great place for drinks, dinner, or just to share some small plates. Reservations recommended if you're going at a peak time.

Awesome restaurant my 3 favorite dishes have to be the firecracker asian fried shrimp, the asian spicy n sweet wings, and the mini kids sliders i love it

Food good just on the higher side. Because of covid-19 there was no hostess so we had to wait minutes to be seated. They compensated with a free appetizer.

Great happy hour drinks and apps. Friendly, good prices, great place to watch a game too.

Drinks were good. $5 foods left be desiring something else. Maybe it was an off day.

Good food and drink...the bloody Mary's are not good though. Long Island iced tea are good!

I have been here many times. I have had good service and food every time. I had the stuffed chicken and it was delicious.

Waitress returned to tell us they were out of what I ordered. Felt pressured to make another choice and didn't love it.

Always love the food...scallops, stuffed chicken, french onion soup, salads. I did take one star off because the service varies.

New menu, same pitiful service. A real disappointed beings we were sent a flyer on how it's new and improved. The last visit my husband steak got sent back numerous times and no manager was around to even apologize. We won't be back, ever.

This is the best restaurant in Lee's Summit, MO. The food is always well prepared. The most outstanding quality is the Staff. They are very professional from the hostess to the manager.

Great place for dinner, especially for a date with the wife!

Steak was good. Margarita was a little harsh. Yes they were busy..it was Thanksgiving. But all in all. Service was very good. It looked like they may have been short handed. But they were making it work. They were very nice. $$$

The calamari was very good and tender. The stuffed mushrooms were a little bland, a nice horseradish sauce would have been a good addition. The fillet was cooked perfectly. Great flavor and tender. I also added the firecracker shrimp and they were an awesome compliment. Great wine selection as well.

I went on my birthday and told them it was my birthday they did not give me any free dessert. Service was bad they took forever to bring us our appetizers. Then 2 minutes later brought our food. Was not impressed with the roast beef entree. I will not go back there to eat...maybe for drinks the Raspberry Long Island was delicious.

Firat time here. Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Great service.

Fish tacos are wonderful, the melted cheesy cheeseburger was awesome.

Horrible customer service! I went with friends for happy hour on a Friday at 5p and was given a wait time of 35-40 mins. We were seated at 5:59p and Happy Hour is over at 6p. I asked for a happy hour menu and was told no because happy hour was over. I explained the situation and was still told no so I asked to speak with the manager. I re-explained everything to her. Not only did she tell me that we couldn t order from the happy hour menu, but she basically called me a liar 3 times. She says that her hostess NEVER provide a wait time for patio seating and she had been with her all day so she knew there was no way I was given any type of wait time. After letting her know that I didn t appreciate being called a liar, she again called me a liar. As we were preparing to leave, she came back to apologize after confirming with her waitress that I was given a wait time. At that point, her apology didn t matter to me so I asked for the district manager s info. She said her GM was there and she would send him out. A guy wearing a full chef s outfit came out and only apologized about the slip up of the hostess. Not once did he acknowledge the disrespect from the manager. I contacted corporate office last week and still haven t heard back from anyone. It s disappointing that they re this lax when it comes to acknowledging and correcting an issue. However it s good to know so I won t bother spending another dime there.

I haven't been for a while but excellent food for the price.

Great lunch specials! We've always been hesitant to eat here, because we assumed it would be overpriced. It wasn't at all. $1 BEERS, $5.99 kids meals, and the lunch portions are huge. Our server even brought our toddler apple sauce right away to hold him over until the food came. Will definitely be back.

Celebrated Mom's 91st birthday at her favorite restaurant, Houlihan's!! We all love this place since the food is great, the wait staff is great and the ambiance is perfect for family dinners. Thumbs up!!!

Wonderful experience, food was great had the salmon with green beans with my girlfriend. Server was wonderful and very attentive.

Always great food and service. The chicken tortilla soup hit the spot. Delicious and as good as homemade.

After having a horrible experience at this location a few weeks ago, Houlihan's has truly redeemed themselves. I filled out this same review then and was contacted by a member of the Marketing Staff who sent us $50 in dining certificates as an apology. We decided to use them during Happy Hour so that we could get the most out of our gift. That was the best decision ever made. We were able to meet the server/bartender Matt who was absolutely phenomenal. He was very attentive, friendly and genuinely a joy to be around. We were seated in the bar booths and he frequently came from behind the bar to make sure we were fine and not just those seated directly in front of him. We were there about an hour before close and the food was fresh and hot as though the restaurant had just opened. The ambiance was very mature and peaceful. It was all around a wonderful experience. In fact, we have added this spot to our monthly rotation! Kudos to Matt and Houlihans on a JOB WELL DONE!

Always great service and the food is amazing...I don't know that I have ever ordered anything I didn't like!

Love Houlihans, especially Happy Hour! It's all day on Sundays.

Midscale sports bar venue with great happy hour including beverages and munchies at bargain prices. We have also had both dinner and lunch there. Great menu variety with outstanding service and quality of food. Have been back many times and each time was wonderful. Will definitely go back.

Was there with a large group today for my aunt's birthday. An entire plate of hot cheese was dropped and much of it went onto me. We weren't compensated and I found out later they charged my aunt for my meal, after I was told my meal would be free.

People writing bad reviews here must be from the competition. Maybe the good ones are from Houlihan staff. We will never know. I live in Lee's Summit and have been going to Houlihans ever since it opened. We have NEVER had bad food there, and if we did I know they would apologize and take it back to get you something you like. Service is good and very professional, even when very busy which is most of the time (usually 10 min wait). Love the ambience. Prices are a little higher but worth it for a nice evening out. Anyone who says the food was crap is bogus. It just does not happen there.

Houlihan's is always a treat all of their locations are always modern and up-to-date. all of their entrees are always well presented and taste great. Always busy but can never remember having to wait for a table. Lee's Summit was my latest location to visit.

That food absolutely does not justify those prices... No clue how you guys justify average bar food at fine dining prices. The carpet was so sticky we had to go outside and let the rain wash whatever it was off the bottom of our shoes. Not sure if the server was new or not, but clearly didn't know how the kids menu worked or what came with the meals. Our poor server was double sat with a 12 top and a 6 top. I timed it and it was 48min to get our Appetizers, 57min to get our entres. Then it took our server 23min to bring the credit card back after taking it for payment. Guys, it's mother's day... You need more wait staff on duty or better hosts

Went here for the Thanksgiving dinner and had a lovely time. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The spread was per person plated and you could ask for as many extras as you wanted, which was followed by a slice of apple or pumpkin pie. I enjoyed the food, but certainly wasn't as good as a home cooked one. I wasn't overly crazy about it. The ambiance was also really nice, but a little packed in with not much room to walk between tables. Made for a pretty loud dining room.

Really enjoyed myself it's a nice chill spot quiet definitely WILL BE BACK HOULIHAN'S!!!!

The food was decent and we had a good server. However, the big chested, dark haired, manager lady is rude and unprofessional! We overheard her talking to employees, and I'm surprised you keep anyone working there with her attitude.

Stopped in for happy hour and to study for my finals. Great service and happy hour menu.

The mgr sucked, I asked for a particular drink, he advised me not only would I have to pay for my drink but the products that go in it because they don't have alot of people who order the Mint Martini!

I was there with friends for my birthday. We had a really good time. It was pretty crowded when we got there, we were seated pretty quickly. That was when the problem started we did not seem to have a server, a fella did come over and take our drink orders, I'll bet we waited at the least 30 minutes before somebody took are food orders and then it took a bit to get it out but as I say they were busy. The server did come over and check on us, and we ordered more drinks. It took us forever to get his attention to get our ticket, finally one of the ladies went in and got it. We were just lucky this fellow took pity on his cuz we were not his table he just took care of us.

Great food & service. Too loud for a romantic dinner for two, but that's not Houlihan's shtick, they're a sports lunch & dinner place - and at that they are superb.

Good dining experience, Wait staff very eager to take our order asked 3 times in the 1st 5 minutes after sitting down. Maybe do to the time 10pm. Good not great value for the money. But food very good. Will come again.

The couple times I've set in the bar area at this Houlihan's, I've been less than impressed with the friendliness of the bartenders and servers.

The bartender was very accommodating... Made me a special drink, took care of me well...

5 stars for dine in and 2 Stars for to-go orders. Beware, if you decide to order to go your dinner will literally be thrown together and half ass'd....i was extremely disappointed by this. Other than that the food is incredible, I highly recommend reserving a table as your wait time is usually an hour without it. It is a very noisy atmosphere, with a great bar so if you're looking for a peaceful night out this may not be the place for you.

Totally interesting food. A short ends lasagna.I've never eaten anything like that before. And then this apple pastry dessert with vanilla ice cream. It was wonderful

Food was very good. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Hostestes were very friendly. Server could have been better, maybe she was just having an off day.

After a visit to Houlihan's that was one of those instances where things did not go as well as usual, I posted my complaint. Houlihan's immediately reached out to me to find out how to enhance my family's dining experience. I am impressed by the customer setvice and have changed the rating from 2 to 5 stars. I will update my entry following our next experience. I feel certain everything will be back to the high standard I've come to expect. It's so wonderful when companies rise to the occasion to retain existing customers. Everyone wins.

The food is always good and at a reasonable price. Menu has many options along with a good wine selection.

First time there in a year. Our server was great, but the food was slow coming out of the kitchen. Kitchen failed to put extra marinade on my fajitas as I had requested. Food quality was good, but not as good as I remember.
