This was our second stay at Violino d'Oro and we loved the fresh new paint and decor in room 301. When we or any of our family return to Venice, we will always stay with you. The location is perfect to get to see all the sights. The breakfast is wonderful with a nice variety of choices of food and beverages. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We just loved every minute of being there and can't wait to return.

It is located 100 meters from Piazza San Marco and is a characteristic hotel overlooking a canal. Spacious and clean room, breakfast and buffet with a wide choice of sweet and savory. Excellent value for money!

Hotel with very good location, correct breakfast and correct rooms. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom can be improved. The reception staff very friendly, they helped us a lot in our stay.

Love this place. The location is fantastic. It s close to everything you wanna see. There is a gondola station right next to it. The water taxi took us from the train station to the ally that takes you to the hotel. The staff are very very helpful and friendly. I recommend it to everyone.

Up grade of the room was a real plus. Breakfast was always good, though the eggs and bacon could have been cooked a little more. Staff was always very helpful and we had no problems of any kind. Would stay there again.

Very good hotel.
Well located, near the Place St Marc and the Grand Canal.
Everything nearby.
Very nice home.
If I go back to Venice I will book this hotel.

I have repeated my stay at the Violino d'Oro hotel and it has been once again a good experience. Unbeatable location, good breakfast and very attentive staff. The bathroom of the room very complete and comfortable. The room very adequate although perhaps it lacks a small renovation (painting). Very good in general.

We were completely flabbergasted when we found out that our hotel room was very tiny that even our luggage won't fit when we opened it. The air condition was also non operational. My boyfriend was very disappointed because it was too hot! I immediately went to the receptionist (Mariana) and requested to change the room which she immediately checked to see if there was any. At the time of our check in, there wasn't any available rooms as they are fully booked. But she said the following day, she has one available. Lucas immediately fixed the air condition up to a point where very little cold air was blowing. The next day we were scheduled to go to Milan but Lucas assured me that they will move our luggage to the Classic Room (don't book the regular room--they're tiny!). Upon our arrival, we found that all our luggage were moved and the room was so much better and larger! We were very happy! This Hotel Room is full of history and the bathrooms are nice and clean. Lucas, Mariana and Peter are extremely helpful and amazing! We are going to book this hotel again when we go back to Venice...this is such a great place to stay! Breakfast is also very delicious!

Upon arrival we were met very curteously by receptionist. No problems booking in. We have stayed here before and we were hoping to get a room on the 1st floor as we LOVED sitting out on the balcony overlooking the canal in the evening which was right beside our room but unfortunately we were placed on the 3rd floor which was a real pity as it has no balcony and would mean walking down 2 floors, (or lift) to get to balcony. It takes longer to get downstairs as the lift only holds 4 slim people comfortably . we are 60 and 62 lol but young at heart. This hotel is clean and central to bus boats, St Mark's square and the Doges palace.

Stayed here for two nights of our honeymoon. Reserved the superior room which had a great big balcony with a view of the canal. Also got a complementary bottle of prosecco in our room when we arrived. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Service and attention from the staff was great as well. Perfect location.

Chic hotel in the Venetian style, as if immersed in the era of kings and balls. Rich and varied breakfast, more than 8 types of coffee from the coffee machine, all the attractions nearby. Also near the river subway. Adequate hotel prices for Europe

The reception of the men were much better than the women. The former are faster and seem to know more about Venice. Also ready to solve problems. If I depended on the ladies it would be difficult. For example, to find someone to carry our bags from the hotel to the vaporetto at the time of exit.

This hotel, very well located a few steps from St. Mark's Square is quiet and a good level of comfort. The service is pleasant, the breakfast buffet is very complete and the quality is of the same level. The room is comfortable, the full bathroom (the shower cabin a bit small for people of a large size)

Wonderful location, very close to No.1 vaporetto and St Mark's Square. Our room was a basic double so quite simple and small but very clean. Staff were just lovely - very helpful - and breakfast was delicious. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes in the area and lots of very up market shopping. Overall we were very pleased.

Location, location, location! All the designer labels just about 20 steps away or so... Gondolieri right in front...Perfect location you can t put a price on - St. Matk s Square, the pigeons, the port, Rialto Bridge - all very very close -magnifico! The staff are all friendly and helpful!!!! Breakfast is suoerb. Thank you, kitchen crew... Bag deposit - awesome... People look no further, book only here! I was not paid to say this - just an extremely happy client. Thank you and see you again.

Really very friendly and helpful service, strategic location of the hotel, but a few things should be reviewed.
First of all, the bathroom door knobs that came off, secondly it is not possible that the bathroom door could not be opened due to the proximity of the bed, beyond half opening could not. Really really small room. Breakfast in the norm.
We would stay here again (doing a room upgrade though)

The best location for the price, kind / helpful staffs. The breakfast was very delicious and various. A bit old building with old furniture. But i recommend for the couples. I really appreciate all the employees of the hotel.
It is hotel that wants to give perfect score in location, kindness. Literally a 3 star hotel, I am satisfied with the price. It is somewhat embarrassing though the high-end boutique furniture and interior is rich in the morning, considering the price of Venice, and overall satisfaction. It is between the gondola ride and the Ferragamo store. Just in front of the luxury shop. Superior room is recommended.

We stayed for the second time for three nights in this very centrally located hotel. Close to San Marco and all the historic buildings around, the shops and boutiques, the restaurants with a water taxi dock and gondolas.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice room, nice room service and nice breakfast.
Attention when booking directly.
Recommended price / quality!

If you want to be close to San Marco and get great value, this is the place for you. Rooms are typical for Europe's old buildings; don't expect large bathrooms or stand-alone shower. However, beds are comfortable, breakfast is elaborate and delicious, wifi is blazing fast and location can't be beat. Highly recommend!

The hotel has a perfect location! Very good breakfast ... The coffee machine makes all kinds of coffees, the capuccino for example is wonderful. My only complaint are about the size of the stall (muuuuuuito small) and the sound insulation. I stayed in 304, which is next to a triple room, at bedtime I heard all the talk of the English-speaking kids next door (annoying).

The hotel is beautifully located and we received a family room for three that was spacious and cozy. clean and tidy.
Shelves in closets could help lay out clothes. There is only room for hanging.
Rich breakfast, quiet service, efficient and courteous.
At the reception desk they helped us with everything we asked for, in restaurant reservations.

We just got back from an Italian Vacation & spent 2 nights in the Violino d"Oro hotel in Venice, Italy. The rooms were small but clean. Most views were of the alley (Canal Views are more expensive) but each floor has a Lobby area with balconies and you can sit or look over the canal from there. The staff spoke english very well and also handled email communication efficiently. Breakfast is included and it included bacon & eggs, pastries, fresh fruit & yogurt. The selection and quality of the food & coffee was very nice. (Food in Venice is pretty expensive so having breakfast included is a great savings). Price was fair for the value received. We had a great time. Thank you!

I can not imagine that in this price segment there is a better hotel in Venice: friendly, helpful, unobtrusive and yet always there, wonderful breakfast buffet, lovely room with terrace and view of the Gondolieri, the location on the canal near the Marcusplatz and yet a bit off the beaten track, and, and, and ...

The only downside: The German language does not seem to be in vogue! Pity!

Excellent location near St. Mark's Square next to the canal. A lovely and friendly staff. A bit noisy because of the gondola station but this is part of the experience. A fresh and wonderful breakfast.

The hotel was easy to locate and close to a boat stop. My impression was that it provided a haven to return to each day after enjoying the sights of Venice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. The only drawback was that our room had very little natural light but apart from that was very comfortable with good air conditioning.

We stayed two nights in this hotel during our trip to Venice. The hotel itself was in an excellent location - truly 5 minutes from St. Mark's and in the center for easy exploring. The staff was professional and welcoming, providing help as needed. The breakfast was delightful and a nice way to start the day. Our room, which we didn't get with a view, had a balcony which was perfect to relax in between our exploring. We would definitely stay there again on future trips to Venice!

A lovely hotel.

A lovely hotel.
We chose it because of the price, location, the interior classic design and was influenced by Trip Advisor reviews.
Disappointed by the view (a wall about 3 metres away!) although I appreciate that not alot can be done about this!!

Breakfast was fantastic. A very good selection for all tastes. Good coffee machine and loved the 'make your own pancake' machine.

Free minibar offer a bit misleading because no alcohol. This didn't bother us because we don't actually drink alot of alcohol anyway. My husband asked reception about the price of the cans in the minibar on the first night and we were told they were 2 euros. Only after I had time to look again at the offer on the website (last but one day) did I see it should have all been free. On this day we used the three cans in the fridge, but they were not replaced. Neither was the 1 water bottle that we used. The only water bottles that were left were fizzy water which I had taken out of the fridge with the hope that they would be replaced by still water, sadly this did not happen. We were paying over 140 euros a night for our room, so to not have the fridge replenished was a bit disappointing.

The room was clean and stylishly decorated. Beds and linen comfortable.
Free toiletries were advertised, were totally unimpressive! A small sachet of unappealling shower/shampoo with the smallest amount of liquid you could possibly imagine! When I read the small print I noticed that the better toiletries were not for our three bed room. The rooms next door had small bottles of moisteriser etc. Once again a little disappointing considering we paid more than 140 euros a night!
The trip to the Murano class was good, although it was not well advertised. Were there any other offers etc that we did not know about? Water taxi to the island was great. The salesman in the factory was lovley and did not try to talk us into sales, no pressure.

it would have been useful to have a book in the rooms giving information about the hotel, a map of surrounding area, suggestions of where to go, what trips etc the hotel can help with eg Murano island.

The staff at the hotel were lovely. All very friendly and helpful.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Brilliant room, with complimentary drinks, a good selection at breakfast of savory and sweet options, great staff who helped with every question I had a out Venice and our movements there. A lovely time had in general. Thank you

Very well located near San Marco and high-end boutiques. A gondolier stop out front made for some crowds, but also for interesting breakfast entertainment. The facilities were lovely and the breakfast buffet was great; I really appreciated the gluten-free accommodations they made for me. Laundry service was expensive but much appreciated, as it was so hot in Venice during our stay.

Great hotel, only 3-4 minutes walk from San Marco. 24-hour reception, spacious room, very clean, pleasantly pleased with snow-white linens and towels. Comfortable bed! A nice plus was the free iron and ironing board! For breakfast, they provide glazed and freshly squeezed juice, eat scrambled eggs and hot bacon. Delicious buns and croissants, and cappuccino is a pleasure!

Great location, friendly, helpful staff, lovely breakfast and service, nice, clean room and bathroom, although a bit small, lack of porter to help with bags over steps to wait for taxi which was a little tough for seniors

Romina absolutely made our stay at your hotel unforgettable! She went above and beyond to assist us with travel plans and reservations. Romina greeted us every time with a kind disposition and a genuine concern for our needs. She is an excellent asset to your establishment! The hotel was well located and met our expectations well. Loved the terrace! Thank you so much!

The hotel is very beautiful and deserves a 4th star!
Do not change anything you are perfect ...
We hope to come back to you one day ...

Heart of Venice just few steps from Piazza San Marco a hotel located right on one of the many canals that characterize Venice and starting point of the gondoliers, not big and this good for those who prefer a relaxing little bit, breakfast interaction seen so many foreign tourists but at the same abundant tempp. Clean rooms and super friendly staff. Council.

Great hotel, right in the middle of great shops and a Gondola stop. Breakfast very good, staff fantastic. Room was small but functional. Tea and coffee facilities would of been nice. Also very clean. The only thing the hotel lacks is a nice bar to relax in after shopping. I would definitely stay again though.

Incredibly nice staff. We accidentally booked an 'economy' room which was unintentional. It was a really small room. When we spoke to the front desk, they were very understanding about the issue. The first night we couldn't move as the hotel was full, but the following night they moved us in to a standard room free of charge. They even gave us a complimentary bottle of prosecco.

The free breakfast and drinks in the room is a great add-on. And the hotel couldn't be more conveniently located - only a stone's throw from San Marco, which has great tourist attractions and also a direct taxi to the airport.

Two minutes from Piazza San Marco, in front of the S. Mouse Gondole service. Competent staff is available, super breakfast, with various types of rooms. Best and extra free rates for those who book directly. The canal view rooms can only be booked from the hotel site, not on other portals ..

The hotel is extremely central and the staff are amazing - so very helpful especially Daniela :) The breakfast was superb. Well done! If we come back to Venice we will surely return to Hotel Violino D'Oro. However, hopefully we will have a bigger room. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The hotel is located near the Plaza de San Marcos, in an elegant sector, surrounded by shops of the most exclusive brands. The attention of the staff was always impeccable, friendly and cordial. They solved our doubts and requests, made the taxi boat reservation for the airport and guided us with regard to places to eat. The breakfast is plentiful and varied, they were always replenished, and there were croissants with ham and cheese, and homemade pastries, delicious everything. I also found excellent shampoos and soaps, based on plants, with exquisite aromas. Very good detail to provide toothbrush kit and shaver and foam kit, for which we travel are to dispatch luggage (or forgetful ones). Another very good detail is that for having booked directly on the hotel page, we had a bottle of Prosecco and some gift masses upon arrival. We were given the Junior Suite, which had a large terrace with lounge chairs, from which one can peek out and watch the gondolas pass through the canal. It was a very pleasant stay!

Very well. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is very comfortable, well located in the center of Venezuela, very close to San Marcos square and the hotel staff is very nice. Overall, very good value for money

Excellent hotel in Venice just a few steps from Piazza San Marco, always very kind and helpful staff, now you can enter and visit virtually with Google's virtual tour, go and discover on the first floor the view of the canal with gondolas or at the reception the carnival masks, definitely recommended for a stop in Venice at any time of year, a wonderful city unique in the world.

Sweet boutique hotel in a great location! Expensive but very nice and the people who work there are awesome. The breakfast is simple and clean - food and area-wise. Loved it!

One of the extra ups of this hotel is that it s location is a gondola hub where people whether owning them or riding in them are singing or listening to nice music all day. It s also a three minute walk from the beautiful Piazza San Marco.
