Looked very grand. The bar area had bowls of snacks and complimentary prosecco and a selection of juices.

This hotel was the base of Rome sightseeing. Unlike the exterior, the hotel was beautiful and the rooms were spacious and easy to use. It was as comfortable as a Japanese business hotel. It was convenient in the immediate vicinity of Termini Station (station like Tokyo Station). The breakfast is a buffet with a large variety of raw ham and cheese, lots of bread and sweets, croissants with custard cream, raspberry tart and many sweet things from the morning, but there are also breads. There were restaurants and restaurants such as restaurant and trattoria in the outskirts.
I would like to stay here if I have the opportunity to go there again.

Very disappointed in my stay there last week. The staff was not accommodating in any manner. They refused to help with basic services causing us miss out on part of our trip. We were lied to about our accommodations and they refused to rectify the problem. I will never stay there again and I advise you to find a better and more friendly place.

The hotel itself is fine, Good location near tirmini and 15 mins walk from Colleseum, Trevi Fountain and main shopping area. Staff helpful and air conditioning was much appreciated. However both myself and wife were covered in bites on our legs which we assumed were just from walking around. However on our return it turns out they are bed bug bites so I have been unable to score the hotel any higher

Accessibility is good in the city. The rooms are clean and the service is fine. Elevator is narrow.

I stayed the first time at this hotel in April 2017. The room was not what I had requested and I had an unpleasant night. The hotel apologized and offered me a more than fair compensation. I just completed a two night visit and had a very enjoyable stay. Kudos to the hotel staff and management!

Among the best 4 stars. Very clean, quiet, 4 pillows of different shapes, wellness center and gym, breakfast with lots of fruit and very friendly staff.

The comfort of the Universo hotel is perceived already at check-in: the welcome drink is highly appreciated.

Great Hotel in a great location. For a meeting or a course, it has 10 meeting rooms. Beautiful room with really comfortable bed and pillows! I'm also very pleased with the rich breakfast and the staff always friendly and smiling staff who in my opinion really makes a difference. Thanks for everything.

Mold in the bathroom, TV had hardly any channels that actually worked. Room was small despite junior suite. Equipment generally older. Bed was okay. Staff was friendly. Does not necessarily have to be again.

Beautiful place. Service is wonderful. The use of cell phone for getting around the city was great. Would highly recommend.

I do not give 5 stars because of harassing guests who are not properly managed and noises at night.

This hotel was excellent. They have a great breakfast buffet at a reasonable price, our room had a mobile smart phone that they let you use during your stay which was very very useful. We had a deluxe room which was comfortable and always kept clean. It is also close to the main subway station and you can walk to other sites. There are also several restaurants on the same block and many more within walking distance.

Rooms and well spaced and hotel is quiet close to rome metro station roma city centre. Hospitality of staff is good.

Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay but I would have liked a little more space and better view if I were staying for longer. Very helpful staff and all you could wish for at breakfast. Very close to the central railway station so taxi fares need not be a worry.

I answered the call of the Civil Protection for Nurses and, even if I live in Rome, I spent the night between April 30th and May 1st at the Hotel Universo. I had never noticed that, in some hotels, there is a welcoming atmosphere and, the Hotel Universo, made me realize this. Maybe I won't be your guest in the future but I will be happy to recommend it to those who request it. Thank you again.

Lovely place to stay near the centre of Rome. Four stars.

Good location close to termini, ok breakfast nothing special, ok bed, clean. AC worked even in April, but did not seem that you could control it as temperature never changed.

On the down side, I cannot imagine why anyone would want to stay in their junior suite as we did. The bed is upstairs and that is also where the TV is. Downstairs is very strangely set up. A single uncomfortable chair with an glass table, desk/chair and no TV. That is also where the bathroom is. So you cannot comfortably watch TV downstairs as there is not one. You cannot even have two people sit comfortably in this junior suite . If you have to get up to use the restroom in the night you have to walk down steep and dark creaky stairs to do so. Very little place to store clothes so I guess they want you to keep them in your suitcase. No place to store them upstairs. All in all, I wish we hard never reserved a suite . It was the worst set up I have ever seen in a hotel. Also the gym is very outdated. Equipment out of service, old weight machine that could barely be moved, no TV remote and no internet capability down in the basement. Have to make reservations to get the sauna or steam turned on. Gym does not open til 7 which makes it completely impractical to use before work.

I typically stay next door at the Star Hotels Metropole and their suites are much more usable. And their breakfast is a step above the Best Western as well. I would likely not stay here again when I return to Rome.

Every year I go to the Hotel Universo and I feel great. I went there for both business and relaxation. Strategic location, professional and welcoming staff. I recommend it and will continue to go there

A bit old and overpriced. As the most of the hotels in Rome. But fine for a city visit. With good public transport. Clean, friendly staff. Good breakfast.

The hotel is very good: delicious breakfast, gym, etc. but there is a small minus is a small number! There is a GPS phone with which you will not get lost!

Meeting room was ago, very conveniently located. No mobile signal since it's underground floor, free wifi should be provided without asking for a key

We were a group of 40 the experince was horrible, the staff on reception were not helpful. The the waiters were in bad mood probaby because the food was paid already, so the food was cold they trow the food on de plate. By the way am still wating for an irion. AND THE ROOMS AREEXTRA SMALL
