The staff is exemplary but the hotel is starting to show its age. Thr rooms look and feel outdated and not upto a 5 star standards. Although the food and staff more than make up for the experience.

This is a five star deluxe hotel. Service and attitude I encountered. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was very good and rich on the menu. The hotel's location is convenient for walking from the modern center of Delhi. Compare the price paid for the room.

Really unfortunate hat I am judging this hotel only on one thing -
There was NO WATER in the washrooms.

It s sad there was no water but after using the washroom there isn t even a single attendant to inform that there is no water, then such issues ought to be bought to the notice of the management.
I still rate it 2 stars because otherwise everything else seems to be okay. But no water in a washroom is absolutely unacceptable.

1) No wow effect upon entering the hotel, especially for a 5 star hotel, it looks more like a 4 star hotel. They have to change the sitting area in front of the check in area( especially the out dated red sofa)
2) The internet is too slow ( says upto 1 mbps), not good for a 5 star hotel
3) There are only 32 tv channels.... not good
4) I think if I spent another $20, I could have gone for a better 5star hotel.

Closer to some of the tourist attractions
Breakfast was good
House keeping do a good job

Great location for sight seeing on our own and walking about the neighborhood to ward off jet lag after a 20 hour flight. The rooms are clean, decorated and furnished well; bed was comfortable. The hallways are showing their age. The meals were adequate, but we were unprepared for the amount of tax added - a tax for bringing drinks, bringing food, plus several other taxes, which amounted to more than a third of the dinner bill. The included breakfast buffet was good.

Good hotel. Exactly good.))) Well-trained staff. Clean cleaning. Quite spacious room. But this is not five stars))). Yet the hotel is not new. But it's clean, everything is in order, friendly staff.

Whoever stops, rich family Indians. Englishmen, Scandinavians. There were very few Russians.

Normal breakfast. Indian buffet. Although there were some kind of sausages. Fresh pancakes. The vegan cuisine is hearty and rich.

Dinner at own expense is really expensive for India. On average, from 2 to 3000 rupees for two. Check the photo. 2 restaurants.

The Indian restaurant offers interesting dishes. But the portions are not large. A set of sauces was brought to us with a cheerfully sitting cockroach. The good is not inside, but on the jar. He invited the waiter. he apologized wildly. We were treated to a bottle of beer at the house's expense.

They wanted to leave, but there were no cafes nearby. And ... change the awl for soap.))))

For example, they saw a homeless-looking man on the street, behind a local cafe, washing dishes in a basin and rinsing under the tap. The dishes in street cafes are made of metal.

The location of the hotel is not bad. Various temples are within walking distance. It took 15-20 minutes to reach Birla Mandir.
In general, there are many temples around. Therefore, we stayed at this hotel. The metro is also 15-20 minutes away.
When leaving the hotel, on the right, various shops. One street fruit vendor. The prices are good. Bananas 30 rupees. There is a cafeteria with pastries and cakes.
Google map shows names like supermarket. In fact, these are small shops, like our stall in the 90s.)))

From the airport we got 800-850 rupees by taxi. We ordered a taxi at the yellow counter immediately after leaving the airport. And so they offer to go for 2000-3000 rupees. In general, you still need to negotiate the price with the taxi driver. Even without knowing English, I bargained with a calculator in my hand.))).

The hotel has a good shop, upstairs and in the basement. Their store is right at the airport. Therefore, hotel prices are much more interesting.

A very nice hotel to stay. Service is efficient. Location very strategic. Close to Bangla Sahib gurdwara. Connaught Place a 10 minute drive. Gateway , President place Janpath Khan market all quite closely. Within 15 min drive. Breakfast in the morning was superb. Good variety and great taste too. Staff well trained and prompt. Indian and continental options were well planned
Overall a happy experience will stay there whenever we visit Delhi

Pretty good. Room a little chilly but staff very nice and attentive. Drain smelled a little strange. Notified staff on the way out and they were apologetic and said they would fix right away.

We had a lovely stay at the Met. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our dinner at their Japanese F&B outlet. Location is pretty good, too. Only negative thing is general prices for food & beverage... with the luxury tax on top it's getting very expensive. But at the end of the day it's a five star property so you'd have to expect that.

Not worth for the daily rate they charge. Food is low quality. Especially Stay away from the travel desk. Booked Taj trip, flat tire on the way back(time to change those tires). Hand luggage was stolen from the car. Thank God we kept the passport with us. Still around $2k loss. Filed police complaint at airport. No help offered from the hotel though we booked the trip with them. I would say away from this place.

Good.

Sushi is not bad as one food in the city center, rooms are clean enough and restaurants are nice having both Indian and Japanese (!) Food. Sushi is not bad as one in overseas. One thing to remind you is that the hotel room charge is not very good expensive, but taxes and tariffs on expensive services are very heavy, so you'll get 60% higher charge at the end!
Suitable for Japanese stay. In fact, many Japanese are staying and it is safe because there is a security check.

1)Bed sheets not clean

1)Bed sheets not clean
2)overpriced
3)major water leaks in bathroom
4)better and cheap options available
