It is not a four-star object. Several people write here that it is from the 80's. But despite its drawbacks, it is at a decent level, clean, well-kept, new bathrooms. However, this is not a hotel for families with children designed according to today's standards. Cons for: 1) Lack of a playroom with attractions for children (standard in this type of facilities), 2) The door, despite being locked from the inside, can be easily opened by pulling the handle (larger children can easily get out of the room), 3) Breakfasts are terribly monotonous - everyday the same. 4) Additional child fee (30 euros per day). Strange payment considering the child's age (2 years) and the fact that he slept with us in one bed (not a separate bed). Pros for: 1) Close to the beach and promenade 2) Indoor pool (shame it's only open until 20:00) 3) Daily room service 4) Close to the train station (Espinho can be treated as a base not only to Porto) 5) Possibility to rent bicycles. 6) Great terrace with ocean views available from the pool and SPA

It had a voucher only subject to availability of the hotel (as photo) and refused to make the reservation, although there are vacancies, referring to another voucher that was in Odisseias and that this yes has restriction of dates.

Very good location for wanting swimming in the ocean. European breakfast or scrambled eggs salad salads fruit cheese etc. I rate for good +. Definitely better than in France or Germany in similar hotels. Near Porto wanting sightseeing but I do not know how with a bus connection. Hotel and climate rooms for Portugal. Purely. WiFi fridge and air conditioner in the room.

We were there in August 2016. Rooms are not state of the art, but functional. But fantastic direct beach location to le sun terrace overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and a very nice and well maintained indoor pool

Hotel staff very attentive, helpful. Great location, right by the sea. However, in decay. Old furniture, room (405) very cramped even for those like me, traveled alone. And worst of all, finding last night (8/22) two fleas in bed. Body full of bites or stings !!!

It can improve in many ways, the hotel has a very retro look and the parking lot better not to talk about. The only good thing is if you get some room with a view of the beach. The views from the top floors of the hotel are incredible.

Simple rooms, but the hotel has a spa pool with Turkish bath and sauna, very appealing. Excellent attention Next to a magnificent beach with typical promenade with bars, restaurants ...

The hotel is very well placed . But it needs a good reform. Ancient bathrooms. Friendly staff. But to be 4 stars you do not have parking available, honestly I have seen better ones with less stars

The attention of all the very good workers, waiters, receptionists, cleaners ... Very professional and pleasant. Large and comfortable rooms. Breakfast buffet varied and very good. It has been a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

It is a somewhat old hotel, it is something that may come into conflict with the score you can give it but it has a great location, just in front of the beach. It is undoubtedly a discovery for me. I loved the beach and the access to it. Everything is relatively clean and taken care of. The only buts that the hotel can have is that not all the rooms are restored and if you want to look towards the sea you have to hire it with a plus. They have a very cool balcony although it needs periodic maintenance to keep it in good condition (now it is not the best condition). The staff is friendly although to get into the hotel the first day they almost forget us (at 3:30 p.m.) to give us the room. The dining room is quite old but breakfast is sufficient (although it can be improved with other types of products). The facilities could be much better used because they have rooms and places that could be used for other types of uses (such as shared ions for groups of surfers, for example). All these small inconveniences are spent seeing the place and enjoying the surroundings where it is. The price is adequate to be able to go without having to scratch your pocket a lot and corresponds to what you get from the hotel services. It is also very important that you have an indoor pool with spa services because there are days when access to the beach is not possible because of the Meteorology or because the bathroom is not allowed (bad sea) with what you can take advantage of it. As a detail the hotel lends you bathrobes to be able to use it and the towels. Without a doubt, a destination to which I will return. As an important note, the city offers an excellent service with some traditional establishments especially (it escapes the fast food franchises) and above all it is the ideal place to go to Porto or Aveiro since the train station is 5 min walk and for only 2 euros you can go back and forget driving and parking.

Hotel well located, room with good spaces and a good team at the reception. Everything else is weak, needing to be replaced or renewed ... in the bathroom there was not even a soap, where is the shower gel, forgetfulness or savings? The view from the sixth floor is incredible ...

Very average breakfast without fresh fruit juice. Prices of rooms with sea view at the same price regardless of size. No accompaniment or help to take possession of the rooms. No French channels.

Hotel with some very old rooms (they have been renovating for 6 years). The room that touched me, faced a noisy street and a very narrow bed. Air conditioning that made so much noise that turned it off directly. The eighties room with carpet that gave asquito step on it. A four-star hotel, which looked like one of two in Spain. Mind you, the bathroom was clean and the breakfast was right

The hotel has a very high price/performance ratio and a good location! I came here for 2 days on the coastline. The hotel room was unexpectedly good value for money. The room has a terrace, but the sea breeze is very big. The nearby seafood restaurant is super! Support!

MALISIMATE Experience, To be a 4 star Hotel leaves much to be desired. They offer you free parking included in the price and when you get there they tell you there is no place, which is limited under availability. As for the hotel staff, there was no one at the hotel entrance to help you with your luggage. One of the refrigerators in the main room did not work, on several occasions we communicated it at the reception, they told us that they were going to talk with maintenance but the fridge was still not working, and at the end of the stay they charged the bottles of water SHARP! On the other hand, old and old rooms, worn out closets and bathrooms were disgusting, small and uncomfortable. I DO NOT RECOMMEND it at all.

This hotel is in a great location right next to the casino and directly on the beach. The bathrooms could use some upgrading but for the most part the rooms are clean. Why three stars? Because the staff members here are horrible absolutely horrible. We encountered 5 different front desk clerks all were RUDE and not helpful AT ALL you'd think traveling to another country the staff would be helpful and friendly if you want a pleasant stay without being nickeled and dined every step of the way do not stay here. We arrived at 10am we previously emailed the property asking for a early check in when we walk in the lady instantly says no you can't check in after flying for 12 hours all we wanted was to relax well that wasn't possible. I ask to speak to the manager he comes out with a attitude of course and says your room will be ready in 30mins.. wide eyes.. why couldn't the lady just assist in the first place. The hotel owners should really consider hiring new staff members for their establishment the best staff were the cleaning crew.

Nice and very clean hotel next to the beach. Breakfast pretty good with fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, cold meats .... Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Unthinked tube TV and not flat and with few channels. The best the indoor pool with access to Turkish bath and sauna. You have access to a solarium terrace from which you can see the beach.

Excellent stay, the room was super clean, the staff was always attentive and friendly. The view from the room is great. The gentleman who was at the door for breakfast very friendly and with great energy in the morning, breakfast with a lot of variety, and very good, we love it. And we'll be back. Thanks PraiaGolf

Hotel with large rooms but with old-fashioned bathroom and small balconies with air conditioning machine stealing the little space of the balcony. The value of the room with a view of the sea of 87 is only justified by the pool, sauna and Turkish bath.

The hotel is full of splendor, but the perfect location right on the beach, small but very clean rooms, sympathetic staff and always willing to help service make up the overall assessment. Certainly if I visited Espinho one more time, I would consider accommodation at the PraiaGolfe Hotel.

The hotel is old fashioned for one that claims to be 4 star. Not two, let alone four. Old furniture, outdated bathrooms with use marks. The pool is in a degraded state. Also the message that is explicit on the site is misleading. Besides the hammam and sauna are not working at this time, on the website says free access to spa and wellness, which does not exist at all! Breakfast with little offer! For the price I paid it was a real let down. Would not recommend!
