It is not a four-star object. Several people write here that it is from the 80's. But despite its drawbacks, it is at a decent level, clean, well-kept, new bathrooms. However, this is not a hotel for families with children designed according to today's standards.
Cons for:
1) Lack of a playroom with attractions for children (standard in this type of facilities),
2) The door, despite being locked from the inside, can be easily opened by pulling the handle (larger children can easily get out of the room),
3) Breakfasts are terribly monotonous - everyday the same.
4) Additional child fee (30 euros per day). Strange payment considering the child's age (2 years) and the fact that he slept with us in one bed (not a separate bed).
Pros for:
1) Close to the beach and promenade
2) Indoor pool (shame it's only open until 20:00)
3) Daily room service
4) Close to the train station (Espinho can be treated as a base not only to Porto)
5) Possibility to rent bicycles.
6) Great terrace with ocean views available from the pool and SPA
