I only attended the conference here and didn't really stay in the rooms. But they looked nice. It's a high rise with over 30 floors. Food served here was good and Starbucks is inside. Only reason I'm giving a 4 is because I don't know their pricing structure and if it's crazy expensive or something

Seemingly nice hotel and friendly staff.

Seemingly nice hotel and friendly staff.

However, after a long work day, the cable TV in my room kept cutting out. Could only watch 50% of cable uninterrupted, and also couldn t rent a movie. Not what you d expect from an upper priced hotel in Buckhead. I called the front desk at 10 pm on Tues OCT 30th and it rang and rang, but no answer. I called again and left ringing while I worked, thinking maybe the desk clerk was busy with a guest, but also expected a front desk can you please hold?... . But, after about 20 rings, my call was simply hung up on. I walked down and explained. She called someone and said engineering on their way to fix. I went back to the room and waited 30 minutes. Engineering never showed-never reported issue fixed-no call to verify issue addressed. Again, not what you expect from high end hotel. I called the front desk again, and again no answer. I went back down to the front desk, where she reported engineering fixed remotely, but they didn t. This is the kind of service, quality and responsiveness that is really unacceptable at a hotel portraying 1st class and charging 1st class prices. Eventually, engineering came up at my insistence, and said he couldn t fix and was a cable company issue. Another them came to change the card. Big inconvenience and hassle. Highly frustrating to not be able to watch the news and the game for a bit before crashing! We ll see if some recompense is offered at checkout, but I would be surprised.

May want to check out the Intercontinental across the street-very highly recommended.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for a business conference. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are modern and clean. The staff is excellent. Definitely take advantage of the concierge if you are looking for somewhere to go out for dinner, drinks, etc. As for a meeting place, the rooms are pretty standard fare but the AV setups were really nice and not a single hiccup. The hotel food for lunches, dinners, and snacks was well above the norm.

There's a nice bar area

Let me first state that this not my first time at a 4 star hotel nor my first time at a premium hotel in Atlanta, GA. The Grand Hyatt is visually stunning the location was great but I've never been disrespected at a hotel. I frequently stay the weekend at 4/5 star hotels and always have a wonderful experience until I visited the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead . I understand there is no smoking inside the hotel, so I respectfully did so outside. Apparently because I am younger and look differently other guests were displeased with this. I choose to ignore the impolite stares and the fact that the majority staff wouldn't open the door or greet us as we approached the entrance. The manager called informing us other guests in the lobby mentioned the smoke smell when I reentered the hotel. I apologized to him immediately for disturbing anyone I should've aired it out for a few minutes. He said there was no problem just as long as I didn't smoke inside my room. As I checked out I was informed that there was a smoking fee in addition to my room service charge. When the manager(Daniel) approached the desk he accused me of smoking in the room (False). Went on to arrogantly tell me that he isn't stupid, he KNOWS what smoke smells like. Is impossible for a smell attached to my clothing to linger in the room a little? Daniel, the manager didn't want to hear a thing I had to say. Daniel said "we went through your room every time you left and we have evidence of smoke" , I didn't know it was being spied on. It was then obvious to me that we were being monitored and our trash had been searched when house keeper came to change the sheets. I have never been so humiliated! He loudly said "I know you smoked marijuana in the room. Either you take the remainder deposit or I'll call the police on you". I hadn't once been disrespectful or cursed just simply trying to clear up a misunderstanding. Sounds a lot like racial profiling. We were one of few non Caucasians and surely the youngest guests, obviously we stood out. I guess this explains why every time my friend would walk throughout the hotel he was constantly asked if he needed help. If you aren't in town for a business meeting or aren't wearing a suite I'd advise you to not stay at the Grand Hyatt of Buckhead in Atlanta, GA.

The staff here is excellent and made sure everything was taken care of. The rooms are clean but be cautious. Although you get a ton of pillows all of them are flat. If you need a pillow with support this is not the hotel for you.

They had plenty of space for the college event held here over the weekend, and everything was set up well on the hotel's end. They were well prepared and had the right accommodations for the task.

Originally booked a room at the Marriott, supposedly a 4 star hotel, but we were very displeased. The Hyatt on the other hand is exactly what one would expect from a 4 star hotel. Beautiful room, even prettier hotel lobby, great customer service, and a full roll of toilet paper (showed how little Marriott cared.) Great stay will come back next time I'm in town!

Nice hotel in a quite area, near the Lenox mall. The hotel is great and quite big. Rooms are really clean and comfy. Breakfast is good with a wide range of things to eat. Staff is great and helpful. Overall a nice hotel to stay in, location is fine and convenient with the train station nearby, would recommend!

Excellent location for first time visitors, only walking distance away from the Marta train station, (which connects to the airport), and is only a 2.50 dollars one way. The hotel is clean, rooms were clean, common areas were clean, and staff was pleasantly hospitable.

Good mixture of crowds, shops across the street, restaurants and bars around the corner, and Lyft is greater than Uber for that area and Atlanta in general. No smoking allowed in the hotel but if you're headed to the local bars, beware, they're not prohibited from denying smoking so rooms are filled with second hand smoke.

Hotel location premium.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta on short notice for an unexpected family funeral, and the hotel exceeded my expectations for helping me de-stress and take care of all the logistics over several days. The staff was uniformly warm and supportive, which was of great importance to me, given the fragile state of my emotions during this time. One staff member was so helpful that I wrote a long, hand-written kudo for her, which I provided to the front desk -- and which I hope they have since shared with management. My room was large and resplendent with natural light, which greatly enhanced my mood during my stay. This hotel would have been five stars, except for one nit, which I want to mention. I always like a warm blanket at night, because I have very cold hands and feet. When I woke up cold at midnight, I searched every drawer and cupboard for a blanket, which used to be standard issue in all hotel rooms. There were none! I called the desk and asked for one, and it took a full half hour for someone to bring me one! The man who brought it made me feel like this was a really unusual request -- it was the only time during my stay that I did not feel "welcome." He said this is how "all" hotels are now. How could they not have an extra blanket in a drawer in an expensive room? They lost a star for this idiocy -- the fact that I had to wait til 1:00 in the morning for a blanket. But otherwise, this hotel is lovely, friendly, and clean -- you will love it!

Great location nice amenities. We stayed on the club level. Food offered was very nice. Major spoiler were the extremely loud motors/ fans on the coffee and ice machines. When they came on it sounded liked we were in a workshop. I have to believe management can offer coffee and ice without ruining the atmosphere of their club room.

First things first, I'm not the overly critical, super needy, "where's your manager" type. But in attempts of an honest review, I do have a couple of qualms. The rooms remind me of an antiquated Radisson. The property itself is nice, the lobby, amenities, etc. But, the rooms just feel dingy. Almost like a overly humid locker room, you can just feel the wetness in the air. With a little bit of modernization thrown in and some better attention to the minute details, this hotel could be a pinnacle for Atlanta frequenters. The customer service, at least for me, was great. I even received a text message during my stay that asked me if everything was going well. Check out is tomorrow, I'll update if it's needed.

It was one of the greatest stays among the hotels I have stayed before in Atlanta. I would definitely stay again at this place. Even for one night stay, the staff graciously upgraded our room to high floor corner room when I told him about our purpose of trip (anniversary). The room was very spacious, clean, and had a great view of downtown buildings. My wife was extremely satisfied with the stay!
