Great location. Great price. Walking distance to downtown and all of the important stuff. Boutique hotel with flair.

Great location. Great price. Walking distance to downtown and all of the important stuff. Boutique hotel with flair.
The free beer was awesome. The door man was super helpful at finding us affordable clean prostitutes. The showers have great water pressure..
Your experience will depend on your room and neighbors.
The walls are basically transparent as far as noise is concerned. You can hear someone turning on the tap, flushing, talking, sneezing, yawing, I mean everything. If you have bad neighbors, well, good luck.
I mean it is small but for one person on a short trip, I found it totally acceptably sized.
On the plus side, it is basically as central in Seattle as you could want. I found that aspect really convenient.
Didn't try the AC because it is winter, however the room got pretty cold. They did provide really thick blankets that basically made me overheat so can't complain about cold I guess, but yeah no insulation on the windows
Rented rooms for family staying in town ; in-hotel services were great and staff were helpful, but failed to pick my family up at the airport as was part of their reservation.
I travel for a living. This was easily the worst check in experience of my life. I waited nearly 30 minutes for Ciara to locate my room. My online reservation wasn't good enough. I just stood there waiting at the desk confused why it was taking so long. I realized that my room wasn't available when she tried calling the Westin to book me for a portion of my stay without any explanation. She then spoke to another colleague and found an upgraded room on the second floor. I opened the door and found another guest inside. So embarrassing. I went back downstairs and found her trying to leave the desk when she saw me returning. I told her she had made a mistake. She frantically searched for another room and located one on the 10th floor. She offered me a beer which I politely declined. 35 mins later. Small room. Not a good first impression Hotel Max.
Small but fresh rooms. Limited food menu. Unlimited beer for 1hr in the evening . Metallic band based hotel theme
Great spot. Craft beer hour was awesome, record player in the room was a nice touch, and staff was super friendly. Rooms are TINY, but serve their purpose. Expensive breakfast, but delicious. Walking distance to a lot of stuff.
The Max has a modern rock vibe to the place. The room was clean and cute. However, the room and bathroom size was fairly small. Overall, it was a good experience with great people working there.
Stayed in room 218 for two nights.
Fair warning, bathrooms are huge step ups to get in and absolutely tiny.
First night was fairly nice. The shower took 15 minutes running at hottest to barely get warm. Pillows are comfy, but the duvet cover needs some work. As someone who tosses and turns, the duvet cover kept opening up and my arm got tangled.
Second day, shower took >5 mins to heat up at 8 AM. Way better. Staff were very nice. Upon returning around 4, my room key no longer was activating the elevator. Staff were very easily and very quickly able to fix it.
Second evening, after going out to hang with friends, I came back to take a shower and head to bed. Shower took 20+ minutes to get to barely warm before taking another 10 while showering to heat up fully. No biggie, but rather annoying. Later that night (2230 ish) guests in room 217 came back and were so loud I could hear them while in the bathroom. This hotels walls (at least in that room) are pretty thin and don t stop much from carrying through.
It was so thin that when checking out at 0530, I could hear the gentleman snoring and coughing as if they were in my room. Thankfully check out was super pleasant and quick.
If you have trouble sleeping I d highly recommend covering your head with pillows or earplugs. The staff is fantastic here. Even with the issues mentioned, I did enjoy my stay. The staff made it super pleasant. Not sure I would stay here again, but if I needed to be in that immediate area again, I probably would.
Stayed the week. Great hotel. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the small bathroom and the fact that the breakfast veggies is a giant pile of brussel sprouts.
This was my first visit to Seattle in 20 or so years, so I'm not familiar with the city. The Hotel Max is a wonderful place to stay. Walking distance to shopping and Pike's Market. There's an open-air, public parking lot across the street in case you rent a car (less expensive than hotel parking). A two-block walk to an Avis Car Rental place on 5th Ave. The door of every room is covered with a black/white photo of a different street performer. Very cool. The rooms are fairly small but comfy. There's free wi-fi in the room -- a huge bonus! Also free coffee and tea in the lobby in the morning, and free craft beer in the late afternoon. Very nice touches. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Walking by that place everyday, they are having heaters outside the entrance. Heating the sidewalk?! Great!
Bed and bedding was super comfortable. Staff was helpful. Room was small and noisy and the internet was horrible.
I stayed in Hotel Max for about 5 days in March 2013. My experience here was excellent. The rooms are nice with great service. I also liked the idea of having an art piece in each room. The only concern I had was the space. The room and the bathrooms were really small. But otherwise, this is a very affordable place to stay in Downtown Seattle.
This hotel is definitely the best in Seattle! Great prices and if you find a cheaper price on the internet they match the rate for the rest of your stay. Happy hour every day! And a Sub Pop floor with record players In the rooms!
Absolutely stellar. The staff is lively, warm, and funny. Free beer in the lobby in the evening is a good reception after a long day as well.
The rooms are contemporary and very well appointed. Even though they are a little small, there's still space to relax and stretch out with views of the city. I'll be back.
Such a cool spot! The room was big and spacious with lots of windows. The beds were super comfy and I really enjoyed the record player! The bathroom is a little small, but was perfect for just me. Staff is super friendly and the whole building just had a really badass feel to it. Highly recommend!
Very nice hipster style hotel in Seattle's city center
It had an awesome theme to it, and everyone I talked to was super friendly.
Lovelty small hotel, lots of atmosphere. My go to place to stay when in Seattle.
This is a very nice Boutique Hotel. The location is excellent, within walking distance of a lot of cool stuff in the central business district. Plenty of good places to eat as well as a couple of convenience stores to pick up little things like water. An easy Uber ride from most of what you would want to do in Seattle. The bathrooms are a little on the small side, but I am 6 foot 2 and broad-shouldered. The rooms are comfortable and good value for money in the area. The service when we were checking out was a little off, but we also checked out in the middle of a shift change. They're free beer happy hour is a cool way for lots of different kinds of guests in the hotel to mingle and played board games in the lobby. It was one of the more interesting adventures of this Seattle trip to sit there and play random board games with random people from at least three or four very different walks of life. A nice place to stay and I will likely stay there again the next time I'm in Seattle.
Very small room ( just enough to walk around the bed) and they have a hidden $45 service fee they don t tell you about until after you pay.
I witness the staff talking horribly about a gay employee that obviously wasnt like by his co-workers, shame on you!
The hotel was great with customer service and the extras they offered like craft beer happy hour, a turntable in your room with vinyls and free bike rentals. The rooms are fairly small and although nice need a bit of work.
We picked this place because it was dog friendly, which was nice, but they didn't seem too dog friendly. They advertise a bed and toys and food bowl are given when you arrive with your dog. I had to ask for all those items and only got a very worn bed and a chewed up food bowl. The room was very small and the location was ok. It was an average stay. Not worth the price.
The hotel is very interesting. Should be suitable for couples
This hotel has some of the best sheets and most comfortable beds you will ever sleep on. It also allows dogs to stay with you. There is a cafe and bar down stairs next to the lobby. Honestly this is one of the best hotels i have ever had the pleasure of staying at.
I'm a big fan of this place for a business lunch. Always really good food and good beers on tap.
Very basic rooms with small bathroom and old fixtures and fittings, noisy AC mounted into the window frame, - you get the idea. Pluses are central location and friendly front desk staff.
The fragrance they spray everywhere in the hotel is distracting and caused allergies for me. Room didn't have a single chair or sofa to relax in. Just one office chair.
Great location for a Seattle visit, the rooms are simple but Very Clean, staff was friendly.
Friendly staff, daily complimentary local beer tasting in the lobby. Some of the greatest of Seattle is walking or monorail distance from the hotel.
WATCH YOUR MONEY!! These thieving bastards took $75 off my credit card three weeks after my stay. When I checked out everything was fine and when I called nobody could help me. Thieves!!!
The queen bed room we picked was quite small, but the employee who checked us in warned us of that and offered a pretty cheap upgrade to a bigger room with a king, maybe $41 for the upgrade? We spent very little time in the room, and I probably would have been fine spending much more time in there, but some people would definitely want the larger room. The shower and the bathroom were both about as deep and wide as their doorways, so it was a little tricky turning around and such, and larger people would have more trouble--but I assume both would be larger in the larger room.
Very good boutique hotel with an excellent staff who are committed to providing a great customer experience.
Went here for lunch. The wagyu burger was decent, but the fries were amazing. Atmosphere was very friendly.
Great food and drinks, nice outside space and friendly staff
Nice hotel. Helpful service. Nice features including beer happy hour.
Only...
Directly outside my rooms window was a huge fricking radiator going off and on whole day and night. You could expect soundproof windows maybe, but these looked like they would remember 70s. The noise level in my bad was up to 65db, I measured it.
I stayed here in June with some friends, and I had a very mixed opinion on this hotel. First of all, the valet and the hotel agent I dealt with right off the bat seemed to need instruction from me on how to do their own jobs. Not something to expect when you are asking $300 a night.... The valet driver just walked away from me without saying anything and I told him he needed my key. I didn't leave it in my car when I came in, why would I leave my car with hundreds of dollars worth of items with the key in the ignition on the street in plain view downtown? Then I told the desk agent that Im checking into a room that already had my friends in it but that I knew only the name but not the room number. He seemd puzzled. I told him to ring the room and ask if it was okay for me to proceed up there. At check out we tried to split the bill and the agent was very impersonal and not helpful. This hotel just seems overpriced and overhyped for what it is. The only positive thing I can say is that there was a man, I believe his name was Dennis, he was very helpful and polite. He made it not so bad after all. But I believe there are better options out there if you are staying in Seattle.
Central downtown Seattle location. Nearby parking. Not luxury, but rooms are neat and clean. Beds and linens are very comfortable.
Checked in a couple hours early, but the first room I was assigned was completely skipped by housekeeping. Was reassigned to a similar, well cleaned, room immediately.
The customer service desk was helpful with local tips and abundant coupons/discounts for local drinks/food. The lobby is a hotbed of activity. There is free coffee in the morning and free beer in the early evenings.
Artistic decorations are on every floor, in the elevators and all of the doors.
The king rooms are average sized. Not cramped but definitely not spacious.
Great looking place, good service. Room a bit small.
Clean and very trendy....the room is small but we'll appointed and quite...although they included foam ear plugs on the nightstand I cannot see a reason for anyone to use them. Great stay, I would stay again if I came to town on personal travel; this stay was business related.
Great room, clean bathrooms, wifi, tv standard.in room service clses at 10:00pm.But very close to offices and downtown.1980s charm!
Excellent service before we even walked into the door.
Hotel Max has a private garage that they park your car in, allowing you 24 hour access. You simply send a text message with the last three digits of your valet ticket and they have your car waiting outside the door within 10 minutes.
I booked our tickets through GroupOn and as such our room was booked for us. Casey, the receiptionist upgraded our room to one of the themed SubPop rooms on the 5th floor. All the doors have pictures of performers on them, giving this floor personality and a different kind of ambiance.
Inside the 5th floor rooms, they have record players with an assortment of records to choose from. There's an honor bar with all the prices clearly listed, fully stocked.
Another near thing was the cleaning options. If you forgo your daily cleaning, by places the appropriate door hanger on the outside of the door, you get +$5 to spend at the honor bar.
The beds were large and comfortable with (4) huge, fluffy pillows to choose from.
I quite liked the view onto the court house in our corner room. I left the window open at night so we could watch the sunrise in the mornings.
There was hardly any noise from neighboring room's, nor was there very much commotion outside. I'm a light sleeper so this is always appreciated.
There's a restaurant attached to the Max that has a similarly unique feel to it. You have the option of conversing with the chefs if you take seating at the open kitchen, and watch them prepare your meal.
There are also plenty of other restaurants and attractions within walking distance of the hotel. We got drinks at Japonessa and didn't have to worry about calling an UBER.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you like unique, excellent service, quick response time from staff this is an ideal homebase for a stay in Seattle.
Great staff. Great location. Small rooms but check n Priceline.
Very trendy, and the most friendly staff, makes you feel very welcome!
Stopped to see my friend from LA who was staying there. Really hipster vibe and retro feel. Decorated really cool.
Rooms are TINY. The bathroom was a joke. If you were a big dude, they would be no way for you to shut the door. I m 5 9 and it was claustrophobic in there
Nice room. Bathrooms small and slightly akward. Friendly staff. Easy walking distance to most things in the city.
Wonderful rooms, very comfortable beds. A bit small, but perfect for work travel with a nice desk to work at as well. Location is great for visiting local tech companies. Has a gym that is a bit limited (2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, a spinning bike, and weights), but sufficient.
Amazing experience from the second we arrived. Nicholas was working the door and helped us in, told us about the hotel and got me a beer seeing as it was craft beer hour. Great room; small but boutique hotels usually are. We loved the atmosphere and vibe from the drums on the wall as we entered to the giant matchbook. It was a great price in a great location with accessibility to so much in the city.
Bathroom was too small to recommend anyone stay here. No one in America wants to be able to wash their hands from the toilet. It really bother be that I kept brushing against the toilet walking to and from shower. The room was large enough that the bathroom can still be made bigger. Otherwise, It was clean, hotel had great decor, and staff was friendly.
Industrial boutique hotel with a great location! Rooms and bathrooms are TINY but super cute. Complimentary beer happy hour in the lobby for hotel guests. Great location and friendly staff. Would do it again
Fun hotel! Stayed on the Sub Pop floor where the room had a turntable and a small selection of vinyls. The room was clean and the bed was soft. The staff was really friendly and helpful plus the have a convenient text based support system for quick questions. The lobby had great music and boardgames to play or borrow. Would easily recommend.
Front desk is friendly and helpful. Rooms are cozy. Linens are great! Love the pillows and comforter. I like the $5 credit per day if you decline room cleaning. Free craft beer in the afternoon is great! Can't beat the location.
Very nice offer half a beer at 6 p.m. Difficult to park. Very expensive hotel parking. We had to parliament to obtain a reduction.
Hotel is quite good, though the elevators are a bit crammed and can cause longer wait times than ideal.
I recently flew into Seattle for a quick overnight and was put up in Hotel Max. I do not have enough great things to say about this place! The location is perfect, the hotel is gorgeous and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful! I arrived a bit early and they were happy to accommodate me. When I needed to leave to do some business the front desk agent, Kate was incredibly kind and offered to check my bag while I went to my interview, even though it was going to be many hours after check out before I could return to pick it up. She provided helpful tips and an amazing energy that was such a wonderful way to start my day! The rooms are clean and stylish, the restaurant downstairs is delicious. The free lobby happy hour is such a nice treat as well. I would stay here again in a second!
Food was great at the restaurant, but service was terrible and it was a dead evening
Great little downtown hotel. With the emphasis on little. Bathroom so small you don't have enough space to dry yourself after a shower. A fat guy could get wedged in there. Old building so doesn't have the soundproofing of modern buildings. But has all the usual amenities and is a great price. Housekeepers are all real friendly.
Great location, you can walk to everything. Very clean, and a comfy bed. We would definitely come and stay again!
great place, clean , classy, excellent location. Friendly staff and environment.
Great service, clean rooms. The free beer happy hour in the lobby was awesome. The halls smelled a little of pot, though.
