The Iberostar Tucan is a paradise: contact with nature, excellent food and drinks, comfortable rooms. Undoubtedly his best treasure is the staff team: the visible and the invisible work with love and without rest so that the guest feels cared for like royalty!

I liked the hotel a lot, the deal with the staff is amazing, the only bad thing is that it does not include wifi and that anything you buy in dollars will go up when you change to pesos

It was a perfect vacation. The only dislike is we had superior ocean front and you could not see the ocean due to the number of chairs and umbrellas blocking the view. Also, I wish ALL the servers could wear shorts and short sleeve shirts. It is unbearably hot and they work very hard. I can't say enough good things about the service we got. Please reconsider changing their uniforms

In a jungle setting with wild animals. Nice large beach, big pool shared with his sister hotel the Iberostar Tucan. Quality food at the buffet, but lacks variety. Dated but clean rooms. Excellent service from all the employees.

It is a beautiful hotel, the food is rich, the staff is very friendly, the drinks are not very good and they put you good rum if you give them a tip and bad if not ... custom installed by the gringos, that is my only observation

Okay without being great. Rooms are a bit worn down. Food is okay but without a lot of variation. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Sun lounger bingo is rediculous - people leave stuff on loungers from early morning, so if you arrive at pool by 9, you will likely not be sitting by the pool.
Beach is okay, but at the time of writing, with excess seaweed everywhere - no fault of the hotel to be fair.
I would sugget you could spend a bit more and get better value for money elsewhere. Not a 5 star hotel in my opinion.

Excellent attention!!! What I liked the most was the children's club with Jessy and Daniela, very dynamic and kind with the children. The food was exquisite and the waiters' attention was great. The facilities are very spacious, clean, and always with hygiene protocols, always outdoors.

THE HOTEL VERY GOOD. EXCELLENT SERVICE AND CLEANING. VERY GOOD ACTIVITIES AND EXCELLENT NOCTURNAL SHOWS. THE FOOD VERY RICH AND VARIED. WE WERE ENJOYED A LOT OF VARIETY OF ANIMALS LIVING IN FREEDOM. . HOW NEGATIVE IS THE LITTLE NIGHTLIGHTING THAT HAVE THE PATHS THAT BRING TO THE ROOMS. THE DINNER OF THE THEMATIC RESTORANTS IS NOT GOOD IN SPECIAL THE ITALIAN. SUBSANATING THE NEGATIVE IS A PARADISE !!!

Terrible! Food ok at best.our room had no hot water, safe didn't work at first and they replaced 2 refrigerators and still didn't give us one that worked. Beach was poor ( got in the ocean one time just to say I did).overall I've been to Cancun, rivers maya, and playa del Carmen over 25 times and the iberostar tucan playa del Carmen was with no question in the bottom 3. I've stayed in 3 different Iberostar resorts and none have been impressive.Back to the RIUs for a nice vacation.

They get very strict with the check out time at 12:00. In a hotel with customers from around the world and time uses, they should be more understanding. For example, we checked in at 9:00 p.m., and it was not unreasonable to ask to check out at 2:00 p.m.

Not that I am here for the tv but you usually end up spending a few hours a day in your room this is the first resort I have been to that has no English stations the pool is too deep in most areas for the kids no swim up bar except in a very small adults only area and they police your chairs and remove your items I can understand doing this from 10 o'clock on but not from 7am to 10

I recently vacationed here with my family, and was astonished with the quality and beauty of this resort. As soon as you arrive, you are greeted with instant relaxation as you step into the indoor/outdoor resort lobby. The staff are very helpful, and lead you to the restaurant where you eat your first meal. The resort is an all inclusive, and the buffet goes on forever! I could have stayed in the beautiful outdoor restaurant for the whole trip! After you go up to your room, I recommend putting on your swimsuit and heading to the pool or beach! That first step in the sand is magical, and the feeling stays with you the entire trip. The staff will walk by you frequently, making sure you are happy, and bringing you drinks as you please. However, after a day at the pool or beach, you will be hungry! The buffet is open all day, and does not require reservations. However, if you are looking for something a little more fancy, I recommend reserving a meal at one of the resorts many fancy restaurants. After your meal, there are shows you can go see, or you can head back up to your room through the jungle like trail, and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.

This is the second time my family has traveled to this resort. First time was in 2011 when my kids were 4 and 6. We have gone back four other times to Mexico and stayed in all inclusives and seems like we always compared it to Iberostar Tucan. This time we took my parents as a celebration after completing chemo. We were hoping that we have a great experience as the first time. Usually, going back to the same place it s a disappointment, but this trip was even better than I could ever imagine!

The check-in was perfect. Unfortunately our tour operator did not report our upgraded room. The hotel took care of us right away and worked with the tour operator to fix the problem. They even sent us gifts for the little hiccup....which was not their fault.

The hotel is magical. The lobby has a Indonesian feel, parrots greeted us in the lobby. Right away your stress disappeares as you enter. The jungle is once in a lifetime experience. The animals, waterfalls, bridges, sculptures are just beautiful. Everything is kept clean and perfect. It s like Disney, not one thing out of place.

We decided to upgrade to the suite with ocean view. If you have it in your budget I HIGHLY recommend. Being able to hear the ocean waves and just a few steps from the beach and restaurants is a huge plus! Especially since my mom is a little weak.

The rooms were updated. Fully stocked with beverages and snacks. The Aircondition worked perfect and the robes, slippers and toiletries were a huge plus.

Food. First of all, I need to say I am a foodie. My family travels 6-8 weeks a years and love food. This is a Spanish company and we just loved the Europen accents.

Breakfast:

Juice bar had fresh squeezed juices, omlet stations, fruit, cereals, pastries, eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, Mexican breakfast, English and European. The cofee was delicious in the resort. I can t think of anything that could be added.

Lunch:
We ate at the beach. The buffet had chicken, fish, salads, really good pizzas, hamburgers, palella, hot dogs... too much to mention. Usually the food at the the resorts is bland. This food had flavor it was delish

Outside by the beach they also had ice cream station, flavored water and juice station, grill station, tortilla wrap station, I know I am missing something. But it was on point!

Dinner: Buffet was again wonderful. Sushi, rolls, seafood, carpaccio, pasta station, red meat station, cheese station, again too long to list. Every day it was something new and some stuff the same. You could never get bored.

Specialty restaurants:
Habachi was fun and tasty.
Mediterranean lots of fish, pastas, wonderful appetizers.
Italian was very similar to Mediterranean.

Service was top notch in all of the restaurants.

Beach:
The beach was very specious with white sand. Water aqua blue (we were lucky as the seaweed went away after the first day). The waitstaff was on top of the drink orders and service.

Wine and alcohol was wonderful. The wines were Spanish and Italian, great sparkling wine, absolute vodka, beefeater gin,.

As I said my mom was a little weak. The restaurants and the lobby are a good 10-minute walk through the jungle. When my mom was not up to walking we just dialed zero and a golf cart would pick us up within 5 minutes.

The entertainment was nonstop. Foam party was a blast for everyone. The staff looks like they are really enjoying themselves. It s infectious.

One staff member went beyond her duty. This is TMI - but has to be shared. I needed something from the pharmacy. They did have my product at the resort, but that gift shop was wayyyy overpriced. A customer relations employee, Stephanie, went out of her way and bought me the product outside the resort and was delivered to my room. Thank you Stephanie! I never had a chance to meet you. Hopefully you received my envelope with the money.

I have so much more to say, but I think I said enough. Thank you Iberostar for making my family s stay first class. As I said before. We are travlers and foodies and this place did not disappoint.

We have been in the month of January 2017 and we have spent one of the best vacations. Both the service, the attention, the food, the entertainment, all this have made our rest in this hotel unforgettable.

This is my first all-inclusive resort. The quality is lower than I expected. Food, drinks, rooms, and other amenities are mediocre. Vendors are in the lobby and on the beach. Staff is polite to affable. Not sure I would do this again. Too many of the details are hidden in the all-inclusive label.
