This is the second time my family has traveled to ...

This is the second time my family has traveled to this resort. First time was in 2011 when my kids were 4 and 6. We have gone back four other times to Mexico and stayed in all inclusives and seems like we always compared it to Iberostar Tucan. This time we took my parents as a celebration after completing chemo. We were hoping that we have a great experience as the first time. Usually, going back to the same place it s a disappointment, but this trip was even better than I could ever imagine!

The check-in was perfect. Unfortunately our tour operator did not report our upgraded room. The hotel took care of us right away and worked with the tour operator to fix the problem. They even sent us gifts for the little hiccup....which was not their fault.

The hotel is magical. The lobby has a Indonesian feel, parrots greeted us in the lobby. Right away your stress disappeares as you enter. The jungle is once in a lifetime experience. The animals, waterfalls, bridges, sculptures are just beautiful. Everything is kept clean and perfect. It s like Disney, not one thing out of place.

We decided to upgrade to the suite with ocean view. If you have it in your budget I HIGHLY recommend. Being able to hear the ocean waves and just a few steps from the beach and restaurants is a huge plus! Especially since my mom is a little weak.

The rooms were updated. Fully stocked with beverages and snacks. The Aircondition worked perfect and the robes, slippers and toiletries were a huge plus.

Food. First of all, I need to say I am a foodie. My family travels 6-8 weeks a years and love food. This is a Spanish company and we just loved the Europen accents.

Breakfast:

Juice bar had fresh squeezed juices, omlet stations, fruit, cereals, pastries, eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, Mexican breakfast, English and European. The cofee was delicious in the resort. I can t think of anything that could be added.

Lunch:
We ate at the beach. The buffet had chicken, fish, salads, really good pizzas, hamburgers, palella, hot dogs... too much to mention. Usually the food at the the resorts is bland. This food had flavor it was delish

Outside by the beach they also had ice cream station, flavored water and juice station, grill station, tortilla wrap station, I know I am missing something. But it was on point!

Dinner: Buffet was again wonderful. Sushi, rolls, seafood, carpaccio, pasta station, red meat station, cheese station, again too long to list. Every day it was something new and some stuff the same. You could never get bored.

Specialty restaurants:
Habachi was fun and tasty.
Mediterranean lots of fish, pastas, wonderful appetizers.
Italian was very similar to Mediterranean.

Service was top notch in all of the restaurants.

Beach:
The beach was very specious with white sand. Water aqua blue (we were lucky as the seaweed went away after the first day). The waitstaff was on top of the drink orders and service.

Wine and alcohol was wonderful. The wines were Spanish and Italian, great sparkling wine, absolute vodka, beefeater gin,.

As I said my mom was a little weak. The restaurants and the lobby are a good 10-minute walk through the jungle. When my mom was not up to walking we just dialed zero and a golf cart would pick us up within 5 minutes.

The entertainment was nonstop. Foam party was a blast for everyone. The staff looks like they are really enjoying themselves. It s infectious.

One staff member went beyond her duty. This is TMI - but has to be shared. I needed something from the pharmacy. They did have my product at the resort, but that gift shop was wayyyy overpriced. A customer relations employee, Stephanie, went out of her way and bought me the product outside the resort and was delivered to my room. Thank you Stephanie! I never had a chance to meet you. Hopefully you received my envelope with the money.

I have so much more to say, but I think I said enough. Thank you Iberostar for making my family s stay first class. As I said before. We are travlers and foodies and this place did not disappoint.
