Hotel Iberostar Tucan & Quetzal - Playa del Carmen (Mexique)***** Review

Luxury, the hotel is beautiful, its beach is beautiful, the service is very good, the shows they do at the hotel every day, they are different but they are worth staying! We will definitely be back, sooner than we were thinking !!

Excellent place, beautiful and takes you to another world

Lovely grounds and very clean. Food average except the steak restaurant which was very good. Entertainment hit and miss, a couple of good shows ( the Broadway boulevard show and the circus show) the rest very holiday camp and certainly some of the worst we've seen around several Carribbean all inclusive resorts. Service good and staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful beach and large pool . Wildlife great especially the howler monkeys that come right onto your balcony. I wouldn't come back to this hotel though as although nothing very bad it lacks something and I can only describe it as atmosphere, no wow factor and nothing different . I have had better from other AI resorts for much less money. Overall I feel that it's overpriced and not worth the extra. Maybe a different time of year would make a difference. Travelled as a couple in our early 50s for two weeks 8th to 23rd June 2018

Excellent atmosphere, excellent staff very helpful, excellent food

In the middle of the jungle the departments surrounded by trees birds. Small marsupial animals, Swans. Macaws, peacocks.monos, goldfish. Very good price and attention.

Family hotel, functional but not luxurious facilities. The food is acceptable, and the drink menu is good, without being premium.

Structure that deserves all its 5 stars both for the location and for the services it offers. The quality and quantity of the food is excellent, with a cuisine that offers broad-spectrum international dishes. Efficient and unobtrusive animation that has shown great professionalism. The staff all very nice and always very helpful. The only flaw to be noticed was the presence of an excessive amount of algae to disfigure the beauty of the Caribbean waters and the non-availability for all of deckchairs and loungers on the beach. Absolutely positive experience.

They do not have variety in food, nor is it rich. The rooms are acceptable however in our 4 days while watching TV I felt something was walking on my shoulder ... A cockroach . We report it to reception. What they said is that they would spray. Nothing more nor an apology ... Nothing. I will not go back and I do not recommend it.

A marvel nestled on Playa del Carmen ... this is the third time we come here and without a doubt not the last!

Second visit to this hotel. It is the best all inclusive of Playacar. Excellent.

The resort has a beautiful setting and the beach is gorgeous. However, the service is severely lacking. I have travelled to Mexico many times and always felt like the service was always exceptional. This is my first trip where I felt like service was not a priority. My son had his baby blanket taken from our room and they would not look for the blanket. I went and talked to the concierge at least 5 times and was told continually to come back later or wait for 30 minutes. Or the same response of I have called the manager of laundry services and they haven t found it ...how hard is it to find a blue blanket amongst white linens?! My husband finally stepped in to speak with the concierge and was basically told that they hadn t looked and would start to look for it, but, only after causing a little scene. There were long lines for the bar, no service on the beach, the linens smelled gross, and there were bugs on the floor. I would not stay at this resort again.

This may be a biased review. But I ve been here more then 6 times for sure over the past 15-20 years.

I remember nothing but good things and it s been the reason why I ve since gone to many other resorts in the area.

Their food is good. Maybe I ve had better restaurant resorts but it was still awesome. They had a club in the resort that was an actual club. quetzal and Tucan are touching each other. Plenty of pools and activities. Friendly staff. One is NOT better then the other.

But if you want all of that and more,..I recommend Barcelo maya palace.

Excellent place. A special mention to Jorge chef of the pool sector restaurant very good disposition to the requirements. A suggestion to put some stickers on the phones of the rooms since there is no How to communicate with reception everything else excellent

Worst food ever. No gluten free options, no choices for food conscious people. Terrible.

A good hotel, comfortable rooms, good service, excellent food both in the buffet restaurant and in the theme restaurants. Good beach service. Very good to rest a week with family or as a couple. An important must is the quality of the wine they serve and also the low variety of beers

Superior Standard Suite, a shame, looks like a dungeon, small and dark, with cement beds. I will never return.

Great hotel resort! The food if good and the drinks are aswell. The workers are super cool and have a great sense of humor and love to do fun activities. The do it all workers Chris flowers and our guys Christian are the guys to talk to! Would revisit.

We stopped here to pick up other people on our tour. The lobby is beautiful and everyone looked pretty happy!

Excellent place for holidays, very good service and comfort. All in the same place!

We were there in May / June of this year and were very satisfied. Rarely had such a clean hotel. Rooms are spacious, beds very clean. Room bar (fridge because of the heat) refilled every day with water, juice, cola and beer. Free of charge Safe in the room. Food and drinks were very good. The restaurants are also highly recommended. (Mediterranean and Japanese). Nice and friendly staff everywhere. The bar in the reception area is great in the evenings.
Book again at any time. The Japanese restaurant where the food is prepared in front of your eyes is a great experience on vacation

I had a bad experience I am very upset I kede delighted with landscape facilities and very friendly employees. Even my family we send photo we know we would love it! For the animals and the tranquility is like being in a jungle beautiful place!
PETO the food is bad I am still hosted aki the IBEROSTAR QUEZAL I and my husband came to celebrate our anniversary and as every couple wants to be in their room if !!!!!! But well pork you got bad for something k served you was not buffet was wing CARTE and the room service or say it lasts a long time antler to take a toilet paper i really disappointed !!!!!

Excellent hotel, excellent food, excellent location, excellent staff, very nice and clean beach, with fine white sand, very close to the fifth avenue, you can walk down the street or along the beach to it. A little expensive the restaurentes of the fifth avenue. We will be back as soon as we can !! I loved riviera maya !!!
