Great live Jazz and excellent food. Location perfect.
Great live Jazz and excellent food. Location perfect.
Great experience. Staff were all excellent, Pacific restaurant was amazing as well as the cafe downstairs. We were on the older side, but its bot nearly as outdated as some reviews say. Still very clean and was more than sufficient for the amount of time we spent in our rooms.
The Hotel Grand Pacific is in a great location for travelers from the U.S. that plan on walking on to the Coho Ferry from Port Angeles. The hotel is directly across the street from the Black Ball Line's Victoria terminus. If you plan on traveling mid week, you may be able to upgrade your room to a suite depending on availability, and if you forego daily houskeeping, you may receive a $5.00 food and beverage voucher for each day you participate in their "Green Housekeeping Initiative." The rooms are fairly standard hotel rooms with balconies. Suites come with a bedroom and living room area with a sofa pullout.
Wonderful room, great view and convenient to everything.
We had dinner there one night some time ago. Next trip to Victoria we stayed at the hotel just because the restaurant experience was so good. Dined there 3 more times during the past week, and I have to say the restaurant service and food are both world class. Best in Victoria, and there is a lot of excellent competition there!
Nice location by Congress hall, clean and roomy, and warm reception
It was clean and not bad. Service was great, got a complimentary upgrade. Room I had was nice. The food in this hotel at a venue we had was disappointing and I heard the food in the restaurant wasn't great. Drinks were different but not my favorite. Great place to stay but go elsewhere to eat. Also awesome location.
Lovely property with water views, comfortable rooms, and friendly and responsive staff.
Felt very relaxed at this hotel. Staff were friendly and courteous. The restaurant was excellent especially the Fondue night. Room service was a step above than the average. I found the hotel was very accommodating for early/late check in and check out which fitted my needs for travelling on both business and leisure. Only complaint was the mattress was pretty stiff, but the pillows were super soft, so there was that disconnect, wish the mattresses were more plush.
Brilliant hotel in a brilliant town, I d go back again
The staff are amazing, always ready and excited to assist. The hotel is beautiful, the dining room and lounge have a draw you back quality.
We met with the individual in charge of event planning including wedding planning and were shown the suite, both ballrooms, and were given details of cost, setups, etc. He was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful and we look forward to using the Hotel Grand Pacific as our reception location for our wedding.
Beautiful hotel within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, ferries and sites. We stayed in a waterfront room with wonderful harbor views. The room was modern, clean and had very comfortable beds. Plus, we love having access to the Victoria Athletic Club fitness center and pool.
A very nice, casual hotel. It is in an excellent location, with good access to all of downtown. The views from the Harborside are stunning.
We were there for a series of business meetings, and they were very well handled. Catering and support were excellent.
Most of us stayed in the hotel, and the rooms are lovely. They are clean, modern, and very well kept.
Still showing 5 even with the ongoing street reconstruction.
Stayed here last week while vacationing in Victoria. The facilities are outstanding, and we were upgraded upon arriving to a room with a better view. Our family had a king suite overlooking the water and it was fantastic. The room size was very generous, the view was amazing, my daughter loved the pool, and the local recommendations that we received from a Valet named Eric all turned out to be excellent. We're back home now, but already looking forward to our next visit and will be staying here again.
The staff, drinks, food, and decor are all incredible.
Well kept hotel with friendly staff and wonderful event spaces
Excellent service, wonderful experience. Central downtown location.
May be on the expensive end, but it is a well run facility with excellent staff.
From check-in to check-out everything about our stay here was excellent. The staff was friendly and competent, the room was large and accommodating, the hotel location was great and prices reasonable for a hotel of this quality. I would heartily recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay while in Victoria.
A friendly and welcoming stay as always but quite disappointed the pool and gym were closed as it was my wife's Birthday and she is a hard core swimmer. A walk down the street to use the recreational facilities/pool was not very convenient.
Beautiful property. Modern decor. Nicely laid out room with tasteful furniture and elegant bathroom. Super clean in every way. Very courteous staff.
Everything else was OK, but $80 for one night parking is way too much!
Was there for quarantine period. Good food, nice room and very friendly helpful staff.
Comfortable bed, comfortable to sleep, pleasant view to the pier, day and night styles ~
Amazing bar service and welcoming and helping front desk staff! The set up of the tables were definitely professional abd mindful of the flow of people in between each table.
I stayed here for a conference and had a wonderful experience. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. My room was lovely with a very comfortable bed and a wonderful tub. I loved the Gilchrist & Soames bath products.
The location was great. I was able to walk to various tourist attractions and restaurants quite easily. I had a great view from my room and even had a small balcony.
I am sad to say our family did not completely enjoy the stay at Hotel Grand Pacific.
My credit card was charged an extra amount that I had to discuss with hotel staff, and after multiple calls the manager Raj (I believe) said he would put a stop to that hold/charge and quickly hung up the phone before I could say anything else. It was never solved and remains to be solved now a few days after our trip.
We had a problem with our dog barking in the room when I left to meet my husband in the pool to help with our toddler. I completely take responsibility for breaking the hotel pet policy, however, we were gone a short amount of time, and the hotel didn't seem to know we were at the pool, even though we gave our room info there. I received voicemails saying concierge or manager would be coming into the room to calm down our dog. This felt very violating, especially since the hotel staff didn't try my husband's number (which they also had). Once we realized we had to be with our dog at all times and therefore could not eat at any local restaurants, I enquired about pet sitting that the front desk had mentioned upon arrival, only to find out it isn't a service by the hotel, but rather recommendations of nearby kennels (all full for Christmas). I would not recommend staying here with your pet, as the hotel is not completely pet friendly or able to work together on solutions.
Perhaps because of being on the pet floor, our room also had truly horrible pillows and duvet. We are not picky with bedding, but when you wake up with pain all over, that can't be right! The pillows were just odd all around, sometlhow synthetically squishy yet flat at the same time, and the duvet felt like a tarp and made a lot of noise when moving around - it actually woke our toddler!!
I also witnessed an elderly guest being told off by the staff for taking a magazine outside of the lobby, and it felt very intense and unnecessary - perhaps the staff could work on prioritising customer service over petty instances like this.
Otherwise the hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays and the location is amazing. If you are travelling without a pet, you will probably quite enjoy it.
An absolutely wonderful hotel with great service and a beautiful pool and activity center.
Hard beds, soft pillows, old dated decor. The room next to me was drunkenly having an argument from 1-4am and violently ill and throwing up audibly. Must have been paper thin walls. I did not sleep at all as a result, and the hotel manager offered me a free breakfast as compensation, eventually got him to agree to cover my parking. Overall poor service, not luxurious, not worth the $350 I spent for a night.
Reasonable rooms for a reasonable price. The double Queen room we stayed in had decent views of the ocean. Only stayed one night, but if you want a hotel with all the basics and a bit more near the bay, I'd recommend the grand Pacific.
Clean, quiet hotel, friendly staff. Great location within walking distance to many locations.
Great place, clean and friendly. Would be 5 stars, but I paid for an upgrade and my colleagues got upgraded free. The desk wouldn't talk about reducing my rate.
Loved our stay. Amazing views of both the city itself and the waterfront. Well priced stay for its amazing location within 20 minutes of everything we wanted to do in Victoria. Room service is overpriced, but such is the nature of hotels.
Book for 2 nights and 3 days. Signature Harbor View Mute on wit. Towels are not available for the number of people. No bottled water. The room is clean and renovated, but the sound is too loud when you open and close the door. Pool is good for kids to play
Super hotel with a 25m swimming pool complex, bubble baths, sauna and steam room. Very well located.
Very good location. Walking distance to many attractions.
Nice staff. Bed was comfortable. Rooms are a bit dated though. The elevators are old and suspect. Had to take the stairs as I almost got stuck in one.
We are staying in suite 412. This is a very nice hotel providing all amenities for travelers. Underground secure parking, full spa, gym and pool. The room is fully renovated, bed are comfortable and rooms have all the modern conveniences. We come to Victoria 3 to 4 times a year and this is our second time staying at the Grand. It will certainly not be our last. Staff is the best one could hope for and very attentive to you request. Housekeeping has been looking after us well while we are here. Nice views of the city from our room looking east onto the lawns of the Parliament buildings fully light up for Christmas.
Good location. Nice bed. Cramped bathroom with poor light.
Nice hotel. But the beds are hard and the breakfast isn't free.
Wow! What a great find! This is a high-end hotel without all the snobbishness of a high-end hotel. The staff was so attentive, respectful, and friendly towards us and our two small children. From the valet service to the front desk to the wait staff at the restaurant, everyone had a lot of pride in their hotel and you can tell that they genuinely love their jobs and invested in the people who visit. The location is waterfront so it's even better! My five year old loved the pool and their locker room is big and clean. The suite exceeded our expectations and very roomy for a family of 4. We have recommended this hotel to several of our friends already.
Clean room. Friendly staff. Accommodating and understanding that we have a baby with us.
The hotel itself is nice but unfortunately we encountered a number of deficiencies during our recent stay. The internet was down the entire time. Personal and work deadlines were missed due to lack of notification. We were informed we could bypass an "error message" online but that was not possible on short notice it was too late to compensate for this. We purchased yogurt, pastries and other breakfast items to store in the fridge overnight. They spoiled because the fridge did not work. The pool was closed for renovations which made it challenging with young children. Just because it's not peak tourist season doesn't mean these services can be neglected. We're still paying good money for room rates.
Big rooms, good location. Very nice staff with possibility to rent bicycles. Location, of course, super direct in Victoria. Very spacious room overlooking the harbor. Wi-Fi very fast. Room on the second floor. Parking without Valet $ 19
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The gym is large and well-equipped. Overall it was a great experience.
I was there for training. Location is great, the harbour and starbucks are right across the road. Service is great and staff are really nice.
It is very good. Clean and all the usual stuff to expect at that price. Not exceptional though
Great location on the Inner Harbour and right across the road from the ferry to downtown seattle
Excellent location, wonderful staff, plentiful amenities. Self-parking and valet offered. Very close to the WA ferries, downtown. Harbour views available. Breakfast buffet recommended!
Went to a political rally there. It was a very nice venue, but they did not have enough chairs for all the seniors that attend political rallies. That might have been because we had more people than they expected.
Great check in experience, decent rooms of good size
Nice location, and in walking range of many shops and restaurants.
Beautiful location. The hotel has a great view, and the rooms were comfortable and pleasant to stay in.
My wife and I spent 3 wonderful nights at The Hotel Grand Pacific over the Christmas holiday ... and we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The stay was perfect! The room, the staff, the restaurant and lounge, and the the hotel in general are all awesome. We travel a lot and we can honestly say this was the best hotel experience and best value we have ever had. All that, added to the fact that downtown Victoria is a short walk away, made this a perfect getaway! Thank you Hotel Grand Pacific! We'll be back very soon.
Excellent facilities and service! Friendly and helpful staff, great central location and very comfortable beds.
The Hotel is great with newly renovated rooms, an amazing pool area and nice staff. I stay here every time I come to Victoria
The price and the room dont match. Save your money and book days inn or best western. Same location, fraction of the cost. The beds were like sleeping on plywood. The view sucked. $1,500 for 3 nights and....what a sham.
Very posh. Beautiful and stylish. Athletic Club is truly a delight. Service is above and beyond. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed for 3 nights last New Year's Eve with my family for my friends wedding and we absolutely love it. Everything was clean and staff are nice. We'll absolutely stay again if we visit Victoria.
Clean, friendly staff. They even saved some expensive cheese that was left in my fridge after check out so we could pick up.
Great location, friendly staff. Clean and updated rooms.
Great place to stay, from now on will likely be my go to place in Victoria. The breakfast was great and they also let us do a very late check out upon request.
