I would definitely stay in this hotel again. The beds were fabulous -- so comfortable and luxurious. The service was excellent. And the food in the restaurant was excellent. The one quibble I have is the $50 I paid to have my car valet parked. I thought that was a little excessive when I was already paying $300 a night for the room. Next time I will self park.

Nice older rooms, great service, awesome location. Restaurant is a lacking in food choices and the food is so far only OK. No lunch option and room service has an additional cost. 10$/day parking is lame.

Huge thank you to Roman and brad. We had reservations at another hotel and canceled last minute due to horrible conditions inside the room. We pulled up to the grand pacific and explained our situation. Brad and Roman were both extremely accommodating and helpful. They got us booked into a beautiful room over looking the water. Upon hearing that a proposal was going to happen that weekend they wanted to know when so they could surprise us with chocolate dipped strawberries. They were delicious. Thank you again we will definitely be back.

Good size room for the 3 of my kids and wife... service was great no matter the request. Did alot of delivery cause its a bit far to walk for takeout food in the middle of winter with children. Lots of different delivery services available and no issues there either.

The harbor is in front of the Capitol. It is convenient for B.C. Museum to go to downtown soon. Amenity was personally favorite GLICHRIST & SOAMES. The cleaning of the bathtub was just one, but after that the bed was well set up.

The staff were amazing, especially the concierge. I planned my wedding proposal in the lobby of the hotel and they had no problem accommodating the ring delivery dinosaur (14ft raptor). They took photos for us and treated us like royalty. Our room was also upgraded to the nicest room I've ever been in. (I suspect it was because the concierge knew I was proposing.) It was a perfect weekend and I can't thank them enough.

Comfortable, spotlessly clean room with good wifi, white cotton bedding, seating area, balcony with chairs and great shower pressure. I appreciate the extra sink adjacent to the bathroom .My tinest quibbles are tv and ilighting. At night, the room is very dark, pitch black toward the bathroom. A night light would be great to have in the bathroom rather than fiddling with the door and leaving one of the bathroom lights on. The tv is fine, but the channel info only gives the name of the channel, and no programming info. So it is hard to find news or identify a show. But tv isn't a big deal. The hotel is right beside Parliament , 1+ long block from the museum, on the inner harbour. Our particular balcony overlooked the blackball ferry/ Victoria clipper. It's a great area for strolling an employees were very pleasant, always helpful, and clearly appreciated clients. I will stay there again.

The perks: Great location, beautiful views. Well-situated sanitation stations, COVID policies very clear, access to a great hot tub, sauna, pool (steam room was closed), delicious cafe, easy walk to downtown and many other beautiful areas of Victoria.

The downside: For most, your stay here will probably be smooth sailing. But if an issue does arise, I would be skeptical of the care you may receive.

There was a misunderstanding with the Pet Policy (It states to keep your pet on a leash or in a carrier in the public areas of the hotel so I had him on a leash on the front patio, not realizing it wasn't allowed) and the issue was escalated to an older blonde woman who was very short with me despite my willingness to accommodate to the hotel's preferences. I apologized multiple times. She was impatient, seemed annoyed to have to speak with me and walked away mid-conversation to cut me off.

The General Manager, Reid James, replied to my feedback saying "I'm sorry you didn't know the rules in BC" but never once apologized for the way we were treated.

I never meant to cause any trouble for anyone, I never sought out any sort of compensation, I simply wanted to be treated with kindness and respect.

Overall had a great stay while in Victoria, but docked a few points because of the following.

Location: 5/5 Got a king city-view room of the harbour and it was great.

Cleaniness: 3/5 Our bathroom had some hair and stains in it. I don't think the cleaners did a thorough job. A bit grossed out by it being this is a 4-star hotel.

Pet-friendliness: 2/5 They don't allow you to leave your dog alone in the room which kind of defeats the purpose of traveling with your dog. The dog (cleaning) fee was quite high $50 compared to other places we've stayed. For a dog that sheds maybe that makes sense but for my dog, you wouldn't even have known she stayed there. Something to consider for dog owners. Wish I had double checked this before booking. The pooch pack was also a little disappointing as we've received better.

Hotel food room service: 3/5 Average food.

Pool/gym: Did not get to try it as I had to tend to my dog.

Sleep: 3/5 The bedding wasn't very breathable and the circulation in the room was very off. Feeling very hot/cold during the night. Might be because it's an older building, even though we stayed in the renovated side.

Disappointing.. on the plus side, the bed was comfy and we had a beautiful view. Room was very clean.

Despite being in an almost empty hotel, we were placed under a room with loud stomping above late into the night. We were disappointed by the customer service and the breakfast. One draw was the ability to book the pool/hot tub but we were disappointed that we didn t have them to ourselves - several other households present. No special extras for our sons birthday (unlike the Laurel point- they treated us great and made the kids feel very special!). No robes in the room, fewer towels given than people. Will choose another hotel next time we stay local.

Very nice hotel. Location is good, and correspondence of the staff is also pleasant. The room is large and the bed is just right.

The parking lot will cost 15 CAD / night, but it will be convenient if you leave the room after check-out (we went out after visiting the Royal BC Museum).

This one is two fold, my room I stayed in this week was on the ninth floor room 934# for the first time in my life, there wasn't a Bible in my side table, and was told by the front desk you have to request this, I have atheist friends who are not offended to have a Bible in their room. What gives ? The other is for 400+$ a night, my room had cracked ceiling, wallpaper that was coming apart at the seams, and a hard mattress. Then on the tenth floor where my friend was, the numbers on the wall directing you which way to go, had a number missing and a glass sliding door at the end off the hall that was rough looking. Please invest money in updating your hotel. Now I'll wait and see how managment replays to my rating and post.

The hotel was under a lot of contruction. Which was fine, but we were hoping the price for one night would be much cheaper than what we paid. The hotel bed sheets, towels and rooms smelled like a gross hospital. And the lady at the front desk was helpful but very snobby/unfriendly. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable.

Went to the lounge for drinks for the pickle pub crawl. Waiter was excellent, and the Korean hot wings were spectacular, but it didn't really feel casual enough to fit the feet of the pub crawl. Was a bit too fancy for shorts and a t shirt.

Great location situated next to the legislative assembly building and across the street from the harbor. Interior and rooms are slightly dated but extremely well maintained.

It has a well equipped gym with swimming pool & sauna.... lockers and towels are available at the gym for patrons.

EV friendly hotel, yet you need to register at the front desk for free usage since there is only 1 charger available...... parking is not free though !

The cafe was quite nice.

I choose the Grand Pacific Hotel for the views and...

I choose the Grand Pacific Hotel for the views and the room off the website for our 33rd Anniversary trip to Victoria. Photos on website show a grand view with lots of windows and very large room. Grand Pacific Hotel website states: "EVERY PACIFIC SUITE presents travelers with the iconic vision of Victoria a BREATHTAKING VIEW OF THE INNER HARBOR." I booked a Pacific Suite with a reservationist with a king bed and also requested a room on a higher floor.

When we arrived, we were given a room on the 3rd floor. Upon entering our room, it felt DARK and the bay windows were two narrow windows that looked directly into a building across the street. I had to lean into the bay window and look left to see a small bit of water view. Before my husband could make it in the door, I was walking out and back to the reception desk.

The lady at the reception desk searched for a while and finally found a room on the 6th floor on the other side of hotel, overlooking the harbor but we had to wait for it to be cleaned. The room also did not have a King Bed as I had reserved originally but two queens.

My husband and I left our bags for a few hours and upon returning, we were shown the Pacific Suite on the 6th floor with 2 queen instead of the king bed. The Pacific Suite still did not look like the photos. Given the choices of the king bed without a view on the 3rd floor looking into a building or 2 queens with a view, we went with the view. After all, the view was one of the main reasons I booked the Pacific Suite in the first place.

I spoke with Scott, the manager upon our return to the hotel, and showed him the photo of what our room was supposed to look like. He said that was the photo of the Luxury Suite . I proceeded to show the manager a photo from their website that was NOT the Luxury Suite but the photo for the Pacific Suite. The Luxury Suite was an entirely different photo. I also pointed out that it appears the Pacific Suite photo is the very same photo for their Victoria Suite on their website. Scott then proceeded to tell me they take a "generic" photo for all suites and the Pacific Suite photo might not actually be a Pacific Suite but one of the others. When I book a Pacific Suite that the photo indicates it is a Pacific Suite, I expect to see a room resembling the photo of the Pacific Suite. I also pointed out that the Victoria and the Grand had their own photo, not generic. I told the manager that was false advertising and he agreed. The manager said he would check into the matter of the photos on the website.

There were no other rooms to be given according to the manager except their best suite but he did not offer that one to us. Instead, his fix was to give us a very small discount on our room.

It is very frustrating to find out what you book is not exactly what you get. I realize all rooms are not the same, but the room we ended up with appears to be much smaller than the one we actually received. Since the Pacific Suite and the Victoria Suite had the same photo on the website, I would guess what I thought was the Pacific Suite I was getting was most likely the Victoria Suite. Again, deceptive advertising if this is so.

For a hotel of this caliber, the towels were of discount store quality in thickness and in size, very small. My husband travels a lot and said other hotels provide much more plush towels and for the caliber of the Grand Pacific, their towels were more of a discount hotel grade. The room was getting close to in need of renovation. Lighting in the bathroom is minimal.

THE GOOD: The bed was comfortable. The staff friendly and professional, even while sorting out our problem with the booking. Stones throw from the Clipper Ferry. A few blocks from bus transportation.

As of this date, almost a month later, the photos remain unchanged on the Grand Pacific Hotel website for the Pacific Suite and the Victoria Suite. Check out for yourselves, the Pacific Suite is the EXACT same photo for the Victoria Suite. BEWARE when booking.

I had a meeting in the Gabriela room for approximately 8 people. The space was more than large enough for my meeting and the catered lunch and beverages were above average in quality. I don't think I have anything negative to say about my experience other than better way finding to the room would be nice.

Attended a workshop in the South Pender room. Room was large enough for roughly 30 people using laptops at tables. Cords were covered so they weren't hazards. Breakfast consisting of fruit, muffins, crossiants, juice, etc. Lunch was brought into the room for us, included vegetarian option.

great place to stay for anyone who wants to visit Victoria. I went there for business trip and stay one night there. The location is very convenient and it's right in front of inner harbor. I can walk to government building within minutes, and there are lots of restaurants near by. I will definitely spend more time there next time I visit.

After a long and busy summer, my husband and I booked an impromptu weekend away just the 2 of us. After some research and reading reviews, we decided on Hotel Grand Pacific. Best decision ever! WOW! Its only been one night but I could not wait to write a review for this stunning, amazing property. To begin with, upon our arrival we were upgraded to a corner suite on the 9th floor, with views until the end of time! Probably one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. Everything from the valet, to the front desk staff, to Morgan who helped us with our luggage and offered to reccomend nice places to eat. The room is beautiful. The view is unbelievable. The meat and cheese tray at 10:00 on a Friday night was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. There is even a French press in the room which is how we do coffee at home. So good. BUT...the bed linens and pillows ~ now those are insane. I don't know who their supplier is ~ but I will make it my mission to find out as soon as I can. Honestly. Heavenly. Thank you Hotel Grand Pacific. You're just what we needed. You will definitely be seeing us again.
