Quality ingredients sadly not enough to compensate for mediocre preparation and slow service.

Very nice site, very nice staff. To drink something is perfect.

Great beer, they still had Grolsch autumn goat on tap today.

Price / quality of dishes not balanced. Relatively expensive and generally over-flavored (lots of salt). Friendly service.

Fine food, nothing special. Good to combine in advance a film or theater visit. Do book in advance. Especially when there is something in the theater.

Nice for a drink. Good variety of (draft) beers and tasty bitter garnish. The location is great, and the place is nicely decorated. Worthy of four stars.

Cozy, and delicious coffee with always cake AND a dot of whipped cream!

Miso soup was so salty that I have exceeded my daily salt tax with this dish. It was good in that respect that I only got a little bit of it. A vegetarian curry as main course. The vegetarian of this dish meant that in a nice earthenware bowl, the size of a coffee cup, some vegatables in the form of some pieces of lettuce were served. I also found some pieces of potato in the curry, but I couldn't find anything else that looked like vegetables. The naan bread that was served with it reminded me of the bottom of a freezer pizza that was baked in the oven a little too long.

The service was friendly, but it was insisted on ordering something to drink with my food. I don't like to drink with food, but this seems to be a problem in restaurants. I thought it would be nice to have dinner together at a table before we went to the theater.

It is nice to stay at the brasserie. You are in the middle of the city on the Leidse Plein, so pretty centrally. Tasty house wine

Latte was good - will come back for the coffee and morning sun.

Worse cafe in Amsterdam. Very bad service the dumb waitress took my order twice (the first time she forgot). I got what I asked for 35 minutes late.

The views are good and the street is very lively. A good apple pie, but the decoration has not been very cozy.

Nice atmosphere of the building but the food is grossly overpriced and limited. Impossible to order from the 'lunch' menu even after an hour past the time. We asked specifically if they had air conditioning before going and they assured us but of course they dont have it. Very dissappointing. The staff is also very rude: my friend had fish bitterbollen and there was a huge bone inside. When we pointed it to the waiter his reply was: luckily you didnt die! And of course we paid the full price for everything. The Dutch 'service' at its best!

What a good service! A young man named David was very quick and advised me a delicious beer. In addition, I had eaten delicious chicken. I will definitely come again.

After an evening at the theater, a very nice place to relax and chat. Service is super nice and you have a nice view of the square.

We randomly went in and were impressed. Friendly staff, delicious food and on top of all massive portions. We came out with smiles on our faces.

This nice place in the city theater on Leidseplein is where I often go for a cup of tea / coffee, lunch or dinner. The interior is spacious, light and attractive due to the high ceilings and the seats vary from simple chairs to comfortable fabric sofas where you can easily sit on for a few hours.
Our lunch this time consisted of 2 Van Dobben croquettes on bread. It will probably be nostalgia, but they will still be the most delicious croquettes in Amsterdam.

Love the vibe here, gorgeous space, in the heart of tourist land but beers aren't priced like that's the case. Had a good burger for 14, bit more than some spots but came with good frites. Worth a stop note, you may need to reserve on a weekend or when the theater has a show. Most tables were reserved when I walked in at 5pm on a Friday.

Great variety of coffee, a nice beer and wine selection combined with a wonderful atmosphere located inside a superb building with a cute terrace outside can be a nice option for a visit.

Hadn't been there for a while. Nice wine. But still uninterested staff, who have more with each other than with the customer. It makes it unpleasant there.

We were 7 people and had to wait a relatively long time until service came. 5 out of 5 big beers had too little content. In addition, a Fanta was ordered and Sinalco delivered (nothing against Sinalco, but it must be mentioned). The only good thing is the central location.

Nice place, outside very noisy because constantly trams are passing. Fairly expensive. Small beer without alcohol 5, two croquettes with two small slices of bread, 9.

Food was ok, prices were high and the service was rather slow. You should bring time!

Great location but slow service without a person continuously supervising the quite large restaurant. Kitchen is fast, especially during lunch.
