I was there with 3 friends. In the best breakfast in the world. A breakfast disaster swims a brunch if. The dishes presented without rhyme or reason are from sweet to salty of meat to terrible fish. Parched little dishes reheated without grace for me a fraud. It saddens me a lot because it is fatal with my guests. These people sell smoke nothing more. Marketing. I do not advise it.
One night in a hotel + the best breakfast in the world. In my opinion, neither one thing nor the other is worth what it costs. Everything is fine but the price is not justified and at breakfast I was hungry.
At the hotel, we were two people and they gave us a welcome massage of 15 min for one person, with this they were fatal because while the companion does? Does he stare?
The Spa is small, I was not struck by anything and the girl who receives the Spa speaks very little Spanish, so it took a while to get along with her.
When we went out at night to have dinner, on the way back they had come in to fix the room, something that I personally did not like at all.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The menu we ate, well, very correct. The treatment is also very correct although with some mistake. And what is the restaurant, as I expected something more spectacular, for the 5 stars of the hotel. I can not talk about the price of the menu because we were invited, but coffee 4.00. I think it is an abusive price.

We booked a "Maricel Breakfast" and we really liked it. Incredible attention and beautiful views. It is worth it, it is a relaxing experience with a certain romantic air.
The only downside (just for being picky) is that, being Mallorcan, for one of the main dishes, I expected something more elaborate than a pa amb oli. Even so, the ham was spectacular, as well as the cheese and oil with a designation of origin. I would repeat without hesitation.
Tomorrow our stay at the hotel ends and yet I neither can nor want to wait to make the criticism. Now reading the previous opinions, I think I wish I had done it earlier because from a hotel that is supposed to be of such a category I could not expect these behaviors.
Of course, the hotel is in a wonderful location, you get to the terrace, the bar, and you are amazed by the views. I'm a fan of "charming little" hotels, and this one looks amazing on first impressions. Of course, what nobody tells you is that to get to the hall and terrace for the first time once you park the car or the taxi leaves you, it is you yourself who has to enter the suitcases and go up the stairs, wondering if that will be where you have to go. Which is fine for a two-star hotel, but for a 5 * boutique hotel, things change.
You pay for a service, you pay for some qualities and everything should be according to that. However, to begin with and from what I read I am not the first to complain about the rooms. Being in the new building, although I have to say that the room was very nice, I paid 400 / night for a room whose shower every time we took a shower flooded half the room ... just as we have different concepts of a boutique hotel, or a charming hotel, but for me that is not charm, quite the opposite. However, what matters most is what you expect from the hotel. The pool area is so fantastic, that you manage to disconnect from all tensions in it, therefore what you want is not to leave there during your stay. We have been at the hotel for a week, and during that week we have practically not gone out for lunch or even dinner. We can say that the "expensive" of this hotel is not the stay but each one of the things you ask for. A plate of hard ham ... 29. 10 pieces of cheese, 18. The worst piece of "cutlet" you will surely eat in your life, 30, cold and hard. Hamburger, 22. We are from Madrid, and the best burgers from well-known places are less than half, and a thousand years old. Two coffees and two juices ... 24. Dinner plate of ham, the cutlet to share, foie and a bottle of wine, 120. And if at least it had been good ... On average at the hotel you go out for about 200 more, and please do not ask for anything in room service because just for bringing it as it happened tonight they charge you 10 extra. We have been to many good and very good hotels and have never received such mediocre treatment. I am sure that for the modest price of 5000 that we are going to pay for 7 days you can find hotels that make you feel more unique. Definitely not recommended, a shame.

The Hospes Maricel & Spa is a wonderful and magic place of warmth, sophisticated hosting and providing a soothing relaxation. During a stay of 20 days any question, request or suggestion to complete satisfaction to enthusiasm had been solved to our supreme joy and we are really a fastidious couple. Absolutely high-end relaxation comes with the addition of a Balinese bed offering direct ocean view and outmost privacy. Or you choose a bed under a wonderful old pine tree providing shade and fine scents at the refreshing infinity pool with delightful view to the sunset. Whether it was with a fabulously delicious breakfast or a romantically designed dinner with a table directly on the sea, every single day became something special. The outstanding culinary skills of the Chef with his perfectly skilled service team cared for us always at a high standard and corresponded perfectly to the stylish ambience. We could savour both, a very spacious two-room suite as well as a highly recommended terrace room (after we extended our stay at short notice). The atmosphere of Maricel is unique in Mallorca and we can absolutely advise everybody being ambitious with a real 5-star-level in booking Maricel with the best recommendation.
It seems to be the best hotel that is popular among foreigners. As soon as we arrived, the foreigners in the group checked out, and as soon as we got into our eyes, we went to the sofa and asked them to wait for us to come and check in. I can not change my reservation to full balcony room, but room is big too. But breakfast is delicious, so I expected it, but it is just like it. (It is more delicious in Madrid.) It seems that breakfast is more expensive than view and service. I did not need to clean the room, so I did not want to clean it, so I walked to the sunshine for a while to sunbathe, and then I came to the house and cleaned it all up. In the middle of the middle of the night, ask around and ask if you need two bottles of water and a towel.

We stayed at Hotel Maricel for our honeymoon. Arne, our concierge, greeted us with exceptional hospitality and service from the moment we walked in the door. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and all our needs were met- from calling us taxi cabs, booking car rentals, advice on where to eat, and much more we were truly dined on hand and foot at every turn. Arne was patient with us and knowledgeable about the area. Overall he was very warm and catered to us during our entire stay.
Our main server Bruno was attentive and friendly at every meal. Bruno delighted us and remembered specific details about our food preferences. He was a quality server and very polished.
We will definitely recommend this little spot
of paradise to our friends and family who want to travel abroad.

The staff were very friendly throughout my stay here, and the massage was very good.
After the massage, you can use the jacuzzi inside the massage shop for free while relieving your fatigue!
However, if you go late in the evening, you can't use the jacuzzi because the jacuzzi usage time is over, so please note.
Valet will be provided, luggage will be picked up to the accommodation where you are staying, and if you call in advance or talk to the lobby, luggage will also be brought back to the lobby.
Even if you don't eat breakfast, we prepare it in a lobby-like place (?) in a place where you can drink tea by type in the morning.

It's already five months ago. Suddenly I look for a blue sky and a wonderful view. It is a wonderful place. The staff was friendly too, enjoyed the sea swim too and I would love to go again. The food was delicious, too. I recommend it.

We liked it so much that we are already thinking about repeating very soon. We have taken an offer with a 50-minute massage, access to the spa, champagne and fruits and we could not like it anymore. The massage in the summer spa on the sea is a unique experience for all the senses and the attention of 10. The only downside that would put to put one is that the spa is quite simple but equally, I give a 10.

Breakfast at the Hotel Hospes Maricel, in Palma de Mallorca, has been voted the best in the world by critics of the Second Madrid Fusion Gastronomic Summit in 2012.
My wife and I spent 3 hours having breakfast, and very comfortable.
I would repeat and also recommend it.
There, everything is order and beauty, luxury, calm and pleasure. These Baudelaire verses are perfectly applicable to this Hotel whose charm and location are perfect for a dream holiday. Small flat for the Spa which, if it has the merit to exist, is not up to the others. This hotel has been selected twice for the best breakfast competition in the world. On the other hand, it is necessary to reserve months in advance to have a place. The "normal" breakfast is already very good.

Great experience in Mallorca. Amazing view and venue, great drinks and a level of service that was outstanding. They arranged exactly everything from breakfasts and brunches to more grand events such as mingle during the the evenings and lunch-seatings for 100+ persons.

Beautiful historic refurbished building with attentive staff . Views and pool are spectular ..the pool over look the sea and with steps down into the warm water. This hotel is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection (Starwood). 3 star is given for the only breakfast option is $33.00 no ala cart room services is reasonable for breakfast. Water is not drinkable ... throughout Mallorca.. water is provided 1 glass bottle per day. Cost of water $11 a bottle. Amazing hotel with a little attention to needs of the guest in the area of food and water rating is 5 Star.

Best breakfast in the world? I went three years ago and it was an incredible experience and that is why I chose a day like today, Valentine's Day to surprise my partner again and take him to breakfast there, the menu is changed every so often, but I sincerely expected more quality and better flavors in the dishes (due to my previous experience which was incredible) the dishes did not match each other ... so much so that they put us a "crunchy tuna" (a croquette) with fresh fruit on the same plate ... I don't understand the mix ... a cold meat that looked like sirloin (which at 11:00 am does not suit me much to eat it) I have been quite disappointed, since it is not a breakfast that I normally eat and that almost 50 per person you expect quality and that minimum dishes surprise you and like them ... it would be "passable" if they were 20 per person, but in this case it has been a lot of quantity since there are 10 dishes but the quality and flavor of the dishes has left a lot to be desired.
Go more spectacular breakfast! They are ten dishes and all very good, and very different without having anything to do. With each dish you wrap yourself in a different world of tastes and aromas. Do not do anything heavy 3h breakfast or stay bloated, gives that feeling to think but then the moment passes fast without giving you and if you have the best company yet. Ana has attended to us, giving all the explanations of the dishes and how to eat them. We will be back!!!!! I recommend going and living that feeling, it's worth it! Thank you very much Rst. Very exclusive hotel with a marvelous sea situation and very beautiful premises
Very pretty. Especially the views from the main building. The "best breakfast in the world" is a good option to give to someone with whom you want to have a special detail and have time to enjoy it calmly. The only downside is the SPA which is very small for the rest of the Hotel level.

A beautiful hotel by the sea. Utterly luxurious rooms (designer bath tub, private infinity pool/jaccuzzi on the terrace etc).
Delicious food: the breakfast buffet was generously appointed with fresh fruit, yogurts, eggs, local specialties etc. The lunches and dinners were of a very high standard and portion sizes were comfortably large.
Service-wise, it was OK but not 5 star. E.g. we were holding a business meeting in the meeting room behind the bar and we were interrupted at 17:45 by a member of bar staff who needed the bar tab closed by 18:00. This was unnecessarily disruptive and felt unprofessional; the hotel could have safely assumed we were not about to "run away" from our bill (we were all staying in the hotel for another night!)
Child friendliness moderate: no "baby proofing", low fences on terrace edges etc and clearly a hotel more targeting adults / couples / business visitors.
Blazing fast WiFi (speed tests near 100 Mb/s!) with no hassles (no registration, no fee, no device limitations). Great!

The first time they throw me out of a place! It was a very violent experience and I think it should not have been necessary. We went to celebrate Mother's Day to spend a relaxing day and took the offer of residents for Spa, massage and food. The Spa is quite small, facilities are lacking, you have to renovate the ones that are there and it was something dirty, besides there was no one and we had to wait more than half an hour for them to take care of us. The massage was great and I have no complaints about it, perfect location and very good service, even if we were a bit rushed to go from the Spa to the massage area because we had to fill in information for the massage that they did not even read. The food was correct, without more, although in the end there was no one to assist us, but the place was perfect. So far, with the small problems, we had enjoyed our day of relaxation in a beautiful place on our island, but it was time to take a bath in the pool, after asking the staff if we could do it, of course. Apparently the girl who treated us was a fellow and she did not know that was not included in the offer. The terrace was filled with girls whispering and in 5 minutes they were already telling us that we could not be there, making my mother the biggest shame of her life. Comment that at that time, more than half of the hammocks on the terrace were free. I sincerely believe that it was not the best way nor the treatment that a Balearic resident expects when he will enjoy a service, for which he should also be treated as a client. We feel despised, violated and ashamed. I doubt it will come back.

We made breakfast Maricel (The best breakfast in the world), they recommended it and not only did not let us down but it was better than we imagined. 10 dishes which would be very extensive to talk about each one of them but in all of them it highlights the taste of haute cuisine and spectacular aesthetics. An exquisite service to highlight the kindness of the person in charge of welcoming us on the terrace and explaining each of the dishes with great elegance, giving us all kinds of details about breakfast, Mr. Juan Pedro, you can tell he enjoys his work. In general, an experience he does not forget. Of course we are wanting to repeat again, totally advisable. A 10 in everything.
