Brilliant experience! We had Aron, who was very knowledgeable and helpful! Highly recommended if you love animals!
Brilliant experience! We had Aron, who was very knowledgeable and helpful! Highly recommended if you love animals!
Great place to take someone interested in Wildlife. Shame there has to be animals in captivity though, especially birds with no where to fly and Wild Cats that were pacing back and forth.
Great day out, loads of cool and interesting animals you get to meet up close.
Fantastic visit here. Will definitely be back to do the meerkat experience!
Lovely day and enjoyed the whole experience. Well worth the visit. Staff all very helpful too.
My partner and I are both mid-20's and absolutely loved our day out at Hoo Farm! I had a serval rubbing its head on my leg for around 10 minutes (must have liked the smell of our puppy!), a meerkat curled up on my neck under my warm hair, and an adorable feeding session with the lemurs! After our experience we spent the rest of the afternoon walking around looking at the other animals, and enjoyed it so much we want to go back for a different experience with some new animal friends! The keeper we had with us was brilliant and the whole experience was just happy, fun and exciting! (Also took home my own fluffy lemur friend from the shop )
Brilliant day out at Hoo farm today, lovely place. Had a great animal experience where we got to meet sevral cat, meerkats and lemurs, guide Aaron was really good and knew his stuff. Animals all looked happy and healthy will definitely be visiting again.
Great selection of animals, not too busy but, could be cleaner
Went out of season, seemed expensive for what it is. Interactive things not working which was a shame, feeding talks were knowledgeable with a reasonable mix of animals, shame its a little desolate in places.
Enjoyable trip but large party on an 'experience' tended to take over certain places.
Great place, loads to see. Enjoyed our first visit. Won't be our last
A lovely place to visit and get up close to the animals and also feed some
I love this place. I ve done the binturong experience twice, the binturong are incredible animals to meet, you also get to meet some other animals like a raccoon and he is just so adorable. the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The animals seem well cared for and have their needs met, the obviously have things in their pens to stimulate them too.
Wad a very good experience so happy to have had meerkats around us good day out
A
It was ok but found it hard work pushing the wheel chair round on gravel that was only thing wrong. Be side that had a great time kids loved it.
Had a great day out, took part in the binturong experience which was hosted by a really friendly guy called Aaron, he was really knowledgeable about all the animals and happily answered all questions. There are some really great animals here which you don't see in many big zoos, they all looked happy and well cared for.
Great day out, and partner loved the meerkats experience!
Had a lovely day there with grandchildren, lots to do and see, really good value
Great lots of animals very expensive in the shops especially the food
Lovely range of animal to see and even the opportunity to feed and touch. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable.
I was taken by twin 5yr olds. They said it was a nice place to take Nannas to. It was. Food choices need attention so take a picnic.
Great little zoo with lots of unusual mammals and loads of things you can stroke and/or feed. Recommend the experiences
Purchased the 1 hour predator experience for my son and I. We loved every minute and will definitely be going back again. Our guide was very informative and ensured that we had an interactive experience with each animal we met. He also took the time to share information about some of the other animals we showed an interest in. I will be recommending Hoo Farm to everyone looking for a similar experience.
Good fun, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Loved Uuka the smelly grumpy meerkat.
Great afternoon for the family with a free return ticket thrown into the deal. Would have given 5 stars, but for the now legendary sheep racing being cancelled.
Quite expensive for what you get. Nice for a quick visit. Once you've walked round once you can have an ice cream and go home.
Awesome little farm park with childrens play area. We arrived at about 11am and left at 5pm, so a whole day out! The meerkat feeding experience is well worth the money, highly recommended.
Good value for money, loads of animals and friendly, helpful & knowledgeable staff
Our 2 children and extended family have had countless visits to this wonderfully run farm. What a great pity that no common sense has been applied by those who have protested against the completely harmless sheep racing event. This family run farm does a superb job looking after the health and welfare for all their animals therefore this ban on Hoo Farm s sheep racing is utter nonsense. Wishing Hoo Farm continued success in what is a great value, superb family day out. One not to miss!
Good range of animals, Lima,Mearkat and Lynx experience well run with knowledgeable keepers. Cafe well stocked
Excellent place to spend a day with kids. Lots of activities and possibility for parents to relax when kids are busy
The young girl who took us for the close encounter was very informative and good with the animals. Well worth a visit for all ages.
I attended today. I have never been before. I thought the farm was absolutely fantastic and is far better than any zoo I have ever been to. Its is clean, tidy and LOTS to see and do. I also took part in the Carnivore combo experience. Firstly I will say that this was brilliant. It lasted an hour and there are only 4 people to a group so have lots of time with each animal. I would also like it if the person that did this experience for us can be credited by the farm for the fantastic service. He was so knowledgable, funny and accommodating and we are very greatful. I cant remember this persons name but he did the carnivore combo at 3pm on Sunday 10th november. We will 100% be back. Thank you
Very good day out for a familiy. Children loved it!!!
I love this place and it is brilliant for kids too. Celebrated their 25th birthday with them at the event
Great day out for the family! Kids loved feeding the animals. Lots of benches for picnics. Load of animals to see. Cheaper with a TLC card. Great play park for kids too. Parking easy enough.
Not a huge place, but very friendly staff and the animals seem well looked after. Range of "experiences", handling various animals, available at a reasonable cost.
Bigger and better than I thought. Various animals to see. Can feed some animals such as Sheep and Llamas. The Lemur Experience is very good as you can get up close to them but only downside is you can't touch them.
Was a quick visit for us but we will be back. Will be great on a sunny day as lots to do outdoors
I didn't really want to go, but I had to follow a group. It was better than what I expected. Most animals seemed ok and in decent conditions. However, as with every zoo the birds suffer. Especially the birds of prey. I got really depressed with the owls. The claim that a couple of them were rescued animals, but I'm sure that most of them are not.
Kid loved it. Adults loved it. Lots to do even in covid times. Not too busy. Lovely day out
We love it at Hoo farm, we did an animal experience it was amazing to see animals so close and learn about them
Did one of their half day animal experiences, was fantastic, got close to the animals great time had by all and great venue
An amazing alternative to Chester Zoo. So much hand sanitizer and hand washing stations dotted around. Not busy at all (it was a last min decision at 11am and was loads of spaces available). Great for children and adults and i especially loved the little go karts next to the playground.
Friendly staff... Cool animals love the Caracal and Bintorongs also the Lemurs
Really had a great day. Loved the way you could stroke the more exotic animals with the encounters.
Had a sandwich meal deal which was very good value for money.
Will be coming again very soon.
Excellent value for money.
Always a pleasure. Animals are so well cared for.great facilities and a warm welcome. Well worth a visit or two
A lovely day out seeing some really cute animals up close and personal. You can purchase a bag of food to feed the sheep, llamas and goats. Beautiful trails and walks around the enclosures. There are public toilets, baby changing facilities and cafe and souvenir shop. Great family day out with adventure play park too.
I've been talking my children to Hoo Farm for years. It's always an enjoyable experience with lots to do and see. I can really recommend it.
Had fab meerkat experience yesterday lots of unusual animals great for kids but we went as two adults we enjoyed it even though was teaming down look for deals it s great got loads brilliant photos
It was a lot muddier than we expected (trainers), wellies or walking boots is a must, mora animals there than last time we went
This was our first visit to Hoo Farm, we went with our grandchildren, the place is very well set out with a surprise around every corner , with a really good selection of animals and birds it is geared to children and has a good play area, we were very pleased with the whole experience
Took my little boy for his 4th birthday and be loved it. We all loved the sheep racing at the end of the day
Going really down hill. There is far too much focus on turning this farm into a zoo. The chance of seeing traditional farm animals has gone. I went mid week during off peak times and the place was dead. The cafe was shut and the cost to buy a sandwich from the gift shop is ridiculous for what you get. If you do go definitely take your own food. I feel the cost of entry is steep and especially for a paying child with the price difference hardly anything from an adult. To pay that for a 3 year old is crazy.
Me and my partner both visited Hoo Farm for the first time ever last week and we both really enjoyed it. We are definitely going to be coming back to visit again.
Two boys had a party for their 8th birthday. Had lots of their friends everyone had a great time. Animal man was great, boys held and stroked lots of different types of animals. Will go again next year. Thank you Hoo farm from 2 little boys.
I just love this place. The commitment by the owners is outstanding.
Amazing binturong experience with the friendly and knowledgable Devon. Couldnt praise more highly.
Loved this place quite small but ran really really well staff are very passionate about the animals. meeting the lemurs and meerkats was a surreal feeling! Highly recommend this place! I travelled all the way from scotland to visit here! P.s the cats that wander around the zoo are adorable!!
Some unexpected animals including civets and servals and a couple I can't even remember the name of because they're new to me. You can also cuddle meerkats!
It's a little frayed at the edges in places but they're doing some renovations so that will likely improve.
Prices are reasonable, including refreshments and such. Friendly and knowledgeable staff happy to answer questions and help out if you have need for accommodations.
Many well cared for interesting animals, advacate for taking in rescue and endangered breeds breeding, friendly staff.
Really interesting selection of animals. Would take a picnic though
We had a great time here this is the best experience we have had at a animal farm the staff are very friendly sheep's and pigs llamas are very much hands on also we had a meerkat experience where we were able to feed and hold them the experience last about an hour with a fully qualified member of staff truly memorable day
This has been the best day out we've had since lockdown in March!! We got to see every animal as so many spots around to see them, everyone kept to the guidance on covid, staff were lovely, we arrived 15mins early and were let straight in!! Animals well kept for. Toilets open and spotless. So many unusual animals not normally seen in zoos, like Zorilla and coati, lovely play area at the end so kids don't tire themselves out at the start.
Overall mixed feelings but worth a visit.
A variety of animals from parrots to big cats. Expect to spend about 2 hours here if not attending any of the talks. We enjoyed feeding the lambs though it was very overcrowded.
We had booked an experience with the Bintorung. The staff were knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time up close feeding them which was great. We couldn't fault this part of the day.
Food seemed overpriced so I would recommend taking food with you to eat the picnic area some of which was sheltered.
The staff are clearly passionate and care for the animals however, I felt a little disappointed with some of the enclosures. There seemed to be a lack of stimulation in quite a few however, maybe we just visited on a bad day - I don't believe it to be intentional. A number of animals were pacing but this can be experienced at any wildlife park.
Place was amazing staff were friendly and brilliant. We did a zoo keeper experience thing and would highly recommend it was fantastic. There's a cafe area lots to look at and a picnic play area for children
Brilliant for children if it is wet wellies should be on hand or feet
