Hoo Farm is a lovely place to visit for all the family. The animal experiences are well worth the money. you can hold the meercats who snuggle upto you, the lemurs are tame and come to you and climb on you, while your feeding them . If they want to . The servals are stunning you can stroke them too. There are a good range of other animals to see too. You can easily spend 6 hours there with the kids. The staff are very knowledgable and accommodating , we had a fantastic day, it's well worth a visit. They do special offers for entrance fees. You can get animal encounters from Groupon at a well reduced cost. They have lots of facilties for washing your hands due to covid. They have a gift shop, little cafe and a picnic area.
Had some very good animals but the park felt very inconsistent and had very little atmosphere.
Zookeeper experience was great fun. Really good knowledgeable talks. Feeding lemurs our personal highlight and meerkats cool too.
Cracking place with a great range of animals. Some quite unusual.
Genuine lovely experience, first time visiting, I'll definitely be taking the family to visit again. Such a varied range of animal species. Some I'd never seen before.
Very impressed with the animal experience our guide Beth was fantastic and made it a wonderful way to celebrate our son's birthday.
Well worth a visit - staff very knowledgeable and friendly.
Great farm. They are always adding to the exhibits each year and they have a variety of animals of which I've never seen. Really good for kids. They also do a free return within 28 days. Which is brill.
My kids love to visit Hoo Farm, its cheep to get in and you can spend hours here walking around. Every day there are free scheduled talks about the animals and feeding of the lambs
A great day out plenty to do for the children. We had a lovely walk around and plant of animals to see would definitely go again .
I always enjoy visiting Hoo farm. It's a wonderful day out and a big part of my childhood.
Great place, kids did animal experience and loved it.
Absolutley fabulose place got to do the fox encounter. The facilities was fantastic and the staff was super friendly. Loved how the animals looked healthy
Lovely place for small children and you get a free return visit
Great day out, more exotic animals than I ever could've expected
Absolutely fantastic place to take kids loads to do clean environment, the best staff, and great value for money will go back plenty of times my grand daughter absolutely loved her day out as did we
Really fun place with wonderful animals. For some reason we couldn't find the lemurs but then we never asked! Left with a big smile on our faces....my 7 year old absolutely loved it. (We went on a very muddy day so in the sun it would be even better!)
Fantastic day being up close to the animals, very impressed with the knowledge the keepers have of the animals.
Visited in November with my granddaughter. Admission price should be reduced as not peak period and no extra activities, all paths between enclosures need hard-core as we were wading through giant puddles, food extremely overpriced and sub standard. The public these days require locally produced wholesome food, not junk food.
A thoroughly enjoyable day out and the animal experiences are brilliant!
We took two of our little ones for the zoo keeper experience, which they loved, plenty of time around the animals and lots of info given. Zoo itself is a nice size for a half day visit, with plenty of activities happening
Loved this place something for grandkids to do inside and out smashing day out
We had a bad experience as our group had a little girl in a wheelchair and this park is not equipped for this sort of visit. Upon arrival there were only three disabled parking spaces, which were occupied, having to park very far from the entrance. Then the entire park is paved with loose gravel, which made the entire experience exhausting as we were having to push the wheelchair through the rocks. Sad to say in the end we decided to leave early as we were all very tired. We would never return.
Not a bad day out. Plenty of interactive animals and a sheep race chucked in as well
Brilliant first ever visit listened to sheep racing many summer lunchtime while working at MOD. Unfortunately no racing today but did witness birth of lamb, fed goats, ducks more importantly grandson enjoyed every minute we spent with animals and in the park great value pleasant staff
Very impressed we are local and have never been so was extremely pleased we enjoyed our day plenty to do and the return ticket is a bonus looking forward to using it and will Deffo bring a picnic next time
Perfect location for a family day out with kids. Possibility of close encounters with various animal. Free parking, snack shack, big playground and picnic area. Highly recommended.
This place is amazing! I cannot recommend this farm enough. They do incredible experiences with the animals, that are informative as well as fun. The breeding programme that they run are fantastic and you can see the positive effects of this. They also rescue animals, which is fantastic. Hoo Farm has an excellent mix of exotic and terrestrial, it's an amazing day out, highly recommend!
Fantastic little enclosed marina and the crabbing is fantastic. Love this place.
Great to see everyone pulling together to help and support, very knowledgeable staff Great location good fun
Great place for red letter days and animal adventures
I took my daughter for keeper for the day and it was amazing. We met and fed the meerkats whao climbed all over us, the bitarungs were different and the keeper told us all about them. We fed them also. We met small bear the racoon and stroked him and we met the lemurs fed them and had them climb all over us. I would definitely go again . Thank you guys for an epic adventure
Loved the animal experience and got to see a tiny baby lemur. Wonderful being able to sit in the enclosures and let the animals come to us, or not. It's set in lovely surroundings and have animals I've never seen before. Will definitely return and do another animal experience
very highly recommended. they have an eclectic mix on animals due to the fact they don t really search for new animals but rather rescue ones that cannot be returned to their natural habitats. loads to do and see, very covid safe and low visit numbers. experience was excellent value for money, really knowledgable and caring staff.
Be sure to take your Wells as it tends to get a bit masse.ifyoudont mind that the kids would love it food is very good.
me and my girlfriend went for the meerkat expirance and loved it the keepers were lovely and the little meerkats were so cute. the expirance was given to us for a christmas presents and was by far the best one we had it's also nice that afterwards you are aloud to talk around the park it is a lot bigger then first thought was a really good day out
Visited for the lemur/meercat/serval experience and it was absolutely brilliant, animals are really well looked after and the keepers are very knowledgeable, definitely recommend.
Lots for children and adults alike and its great to let your innerchild out
Excellent fun for toddlers. Very cheap out of season too
There are a surprising number of animals here and the various animal experience packages are amkngst the best. Well worth a visit.
We had a lovely day, staff went out of there way to be helpful, even giving me one of their own parking spaces when a rude man In an Audi had blocked the last disabled bay (he wasn't disabled, just rude!) . My daughter and I had a wonderful day and the FREE return tickets will definetly be used.
It's ok for the kids, but a little concerned for the animals, it all looks a bit cramped, I'm sure the keepers do a fantastic job, but it's just not for me
Fabulous place to visit. We got here for opening time and the animals were very active, before the temperature was too high.....We've since visited again for animal experiences. Our guide (Tannis - not sure about the spelling) was knowledgeable, very helpful and demonstrated the respect that the farm in general shows to the animals. I would recommend the animal experiences 100%, and will be back again
Lovely little farm. Not a big range of animals. We went with my Grandchildren as Santa was their..
Its pretty good, family oriented and child friendly Good selection of animals and animal experiences all laid out in an easy to follow route Only downside is under current circumstances everybody needs to wear face covering and they check everyone on the gate But as soon as you get inside nobody wears masks and social distancing is completely gone I'm not blaming the park for this as they have enough to deal with but it's a let down as you don't feel safe but apart from that it's great
We did the half day experience which we got for half price on Groupon and it was excellent, the animals are all well trained and lovely to get to hold, it's not too large but it's still much bigger than I expected and a good full day if you don't rush. The entire area has a trail for lost children to follow back to the entrance, signs to teach people the names of the animals in sign language and a sensory forest to help autistic children to feel included. All of this adds up to an Impressive day of fun and a very varied set of animals.
Great to see a few big cats, kids enjoyed feeding the farm animals, price is a bit high for its size and food is very over priced. Chester Zoo isn't much more expensive but significantly larger.
Loved the animals, Hoo Farm has expanded so much over the last few years.
Lovely day out for our daughters first birthday. All the staff were really helpful and nice. The animal keepers really informative and nice to see that everyone we met enjoyed working there. All of the animals looked really well cared for with clean enclosures and attentive qualified staff. In fact the whoke place was clean with no litter and just a lovely day out. The walk where the peacocks were was closed because we did go in the middle of the week maybe out of season. I would say the food was over priced however it always is at these sort of places but plenty of picnic areas so all fine to bring own food. Some of the paths a bit gravelly so harder to push a push chair over but overall a lovely day out for the kids. Ps I think worth spending a pound on animal food and definitely worth going to the different animal talks.
Loved the experience and the animals I would definitely recommend this to overs.
We went last week on a Wednesday with our 14 month old son. I don't know if it was because the summer has finished but it wasn't that good. It was pretty quite , animals were difgicult to see, not the farm's fault we know but place was pretty dead. Don't think will come back.
Had a lovely experience here. Very friendly staff who obviously cared for the animals. Brilliant.
Had the most incredible experience with meerkats, serval and lemurs. Great place to go for a day out. I was highly impressed with the animal sign language cards on every place next to the animal information.
Proper little gem , loads of animals , and lots for the kids to do
Fantastic experience, lovely, knowledgeable guide and beautiful animals! We booked carnival combo and it was quite fun and enjoyable! I highly recommend it!
Loved it great place to visit at a reasonable price family tickets for 2 adults and 3 children. Animals I've never seen before and some I hadn't even heard of. Lots to do children will love
I did the half day keeper experience which was a birthday present and it was great.
An amazing day, felt very safe, loads to see we spent 3hrs there, little one loves the deers and sheep. Will definitely be back. The lemur walk was amazing, in a lovely natural setting, brilliant thankyou for a lovely day
Great place for families with knowledgeable friendly staff.
Was a lovely place to visit and kids enjoyed it. Paid 20p for feed for the animals and only about 5 bits of feed came out as think it was nearly empty or not working right so was not too happy with that but apart from that had a lovely day.
We've been here twice. Free return within 4 weeks. Don't forget to get some feed for the animals. Quite a variety of crittters here and good value for money. Would recommend
We had a lovely family day out, kids enjoyed feeding farm animals.
Disabled access is appalling. And when I tried to give back the unused animal feed, the woman got really funny with me because we were leaving. Not very nice.
I believe Hoo Farm is the only place in the UK where you can handle affectionate tame meerkats. They curl up in your lap! The rest of the park is good too but the meerkats are the star attraction in my opinion.
Nice place for the kids. Needs a bit of a makeover now but nice.
Lovely farm, very big with lots of different activities for the children
Lovely farm, but some animals were left alone in their spaces, dirty and not properly looked after. Please take care of them
Place looked a bit neglected. Some animals appeared to be stressed pacing up and down in there enclosures.
