Mike P. was the best sales guy here! We drove over 40 minutes to come to Honda of Joliet rather than Honda of Orland Park. Mike knew everything about this car I mean everything. I had done the research on this car. But Mike blow me and my IT husband away! I would and will buy another car from Mike p. at Honda of Joliet. We spent 4 hours but it only felt like 2, Mike never passed us off to another person ever. Mike even should us how to us everything in the car before we left. Great Experience
I did not have a great experience like previous reviewers. I came in with a price in mind and they did match it which I was happy about. I told them I already had financing taken care of and all I needed was a purchase order to give to my bank and that I was going to come back first thing Monday with a check. We were there for an hr waiting and being conned into getting our credits run by them after I explicitly told them I had that taken care of. It felt like I was taken advantage of because we looked so young and they didn't think we knew what we were doing. He comes back with a credit application telling us to sign it that it was just for their records in case my financing falls thru. I had already suspected something was not right when he was asking for our ss numbers. I would never go back to such shady stuff. They lost an easy sale. At the end when we finally got our purchase order it did not have the price that was promised. Horrible service.
We just purchased our third car from Honda of Joliet and have had nothing but great things to say about this place. We always ask for Oren who has been an outstanding and honest salesman. He provides his knowledge and expertise for every vehicle he has ever sold us. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with friendliness and a feeling of comfort. We highly recommend Honda of Joliet and especially Oren Ferguson!
Everything from the test drive to the sales process to the service is a less than ideal experience. The only reason we bought from them is they got their hands on the exact car we wanted at the time we needed it.
Our salesman, Ken was the king of overpromising and underdelivering. I had an appointment to come in and have my car looked at to value it...but when I got there, they couldn't give me a value because the used sales manager was out of the office. Why make an appointment and have me come in?
I was then told we would need 45 minutes the next morning to complete all paperwork and get financing and be out the door. In the meantime I called Ken back for the VIN number of the car for insurance and he never returned my call. He claimed he did and left me a message but he didn't even ask for my call back number before he hung up.
Then the real fun started the day we purchased the vehicle. Our 45 minutes turned into over two hours. None of the paperwork was ready and he just kept telling us a few more minutes over and over again. He never took the initiative to actually get an accurate timeframe from the finance manager so we could get out of there and pick up our children who our sitter had to leave at our neighbors house because our appointment took so long.
Oh, and have fun financing with them. Our credit is over 800 and the rate they got us was double what our credit union offered. Beware!
For all of our inconvenience, they gave us four free oil changes. Every time there was an inconvenience or a delay, the manager would pop up with a free voucher. Customer service and respecting people's time is a much better polocy than throwing around free oil changes.
Also be aware that they will say anything to get you to buy a car. The one that I laugh about was the accessory manager telling us to bring the car back to have all the options put on and you can use all the gas you want no charge! Well when I dropped my car off for my service appointment made through Ken, they didnt even know I was coming. Amazing. On top of that, service said, make sure you bring the loaner back with the same about of gas. It was comical. They also said the car would be done the same day and when I called right before closing they said everyone had gone home and the car wasn't ready.
I will never go back to Honda of Joliet again. Even the free oil change vouchers are in the garbage. Not worth the headache.
8/1/17 I would like to update my experience.
After getting the van back, after a few days, the back up sensors would just beep non stop. The actual sensors when I looked were not even mounted to the bumper correctly. Back to the dealership the van went.
I was told when they picked the car up Friday, it would be ready on Tuesday. On Tuesday I was told that the technician that installed the sensors did such a poor job that they damaged the bumper. A new bumper now had to be order, painted, and the new sensors installed. I was told the car would be ready no later that Thursday. Thursday come and goes, the weekend passes, and I finally call the General Manager (Rick Karallus) and left him a message to call me back.
It's now Tuesday evening and no one has gotten back to me, not even the General Manager. What is going on? Who knows if they even have my van anymore.
8/4/17 Another update
The General Manager (Rick Karallus) personally followed up with me and kept me in the loop with the progress with our van. He then personally delivered the vehicle with a full tank of gas and even made our first months payment.

Shahera was excellent and the reason why Honda of Joliet earned my business. After visiting Honda of Joliet twice and was entertaining the thought of purchasing a 2016 Honda Accord from another dealer because of the limited selection of inventory left of 2016's, Shahera reached out to me and advised that she could possibly locate the vehicle I was interested in purchasing. The same day she was able to secure that the vehicle would be delivered to Honda of Joliet within two days. Shahera is a valuable asset to Honda of Joliet and definitely the reason for my purchase. I purchased the vehicle of my choice with no problem. JB showed me all the features of my car and was very patient with me trying to grasp all of the features. I'm impressed with Shahera's and JB'S professionalism, customer service skills, prompt responses and follow up during the negotiation and purchase of my 2016 Honda Accord.
I like the ability to drive into the service bay. They we're quick to attend to our our needs. The repair we needed on the sliding door was not going to be able to be completed on the Friday we dropped it off. Having 3 kids on a weekend without a van would be a problem but we were able to pick it up and schedule an appointment for Tuesday since the van didn't have a mechanical issue only and inconvenient issue of the automatic door not working.
Also when we bought the van it was a Honda certified used we bought from another dealer. The other dealer owed us a key when we purchased it. When we received the key in the mail several weeks later, the key needed to be cut and programmed to our van. The other dealer we bought it from failed to mention that to use and that dealer was over an hour away.
I took the key to Honda of Joliet and they were able to accommodate cutting and programming the key.
Such an amazing experience here. First time buying a brand new car and it couldn't have gone any quicker or smoother of a process without the help from Nelson and Star. Greeted me once I met them, explained my many options and helped me find the right one for me. If anyone is looking to a new or used vehicle, ask for Nelson. He won't put you in something that you won't like and will do his best to help you out. Thanks again for the 2016 accord sport that you helped me get. Couldn't be happier with my purchase!

I live downtown Chicago so Honda Joliet wasn't even on my radar. But it got to the point that I was so fed up with all the Chicagoland dealers I had to sadly expand my search.
Rather then get into all the specifics, I just want to quickly say Rich, Rudy and Missy really went above and beyond to provide EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Rich was my salesperson, very professional and knowledgeable. Super cool kat who wasn't at all pushy and actually spent time with me. Oh... And the test drive he took me on! Straight out of a commercial, it was perfect! Compared to the delearship in Chicago who took me on a 4 minute test drive around the parking lot and then goes "lets go do the paperwork"

Rudy wasn't even part of the sales process which make him even more awesome. I needed some service work done a few months down the road. Rich had the day off so he set me up with his partner in crime and fellow sales superstar, Rudy. He was fantastic, very polite and beyond helpful. His attitude was as if he had sold me the car when in actuality he didn't make a dime off of me. That kind of customer service is rare nowadays. I applaud him.
Missy is a VERY CUTE problem solver! All the issues or problems I had before purchasing my vehicle, she had solutions! She was extremely personable and mom loved her!! If my mama likes you then that means show me the paperwork!
My only issue was the service work done. Needed to bring the car back for some minor body work/touch up. Aside from the oil change, my car didn't look much different. Not sure what work was done. Whoever waxed my vehicle, did a terrible job. Buffer swirls were very noticeable and wax was left on the vehicle. Just seemed like a rush job.
Aside from the service dept mishap, I strongly recommend this dealership. It's beautiful, looks like they have tons of inventory and make sure you ask for Rich or Rudy. I wish I would have started my car buying search with these guys. They would have saved me so much time and aggravation. Thank you boys!

Oren Ferguson was our sales person who made buying a new vehicle an exceptional experience. I was transitioning from a small car to a SUV which was a bit agonizing for me. Rather than having me test driving the CR-V first, HE drove first and clearly demonstrated the performance of the car, communicated effectively all the features ~ especially the new technology options which I thought at first would be overwhelming. Once he knew I felt confident and calm enough to drive, he let me drive. Right away, I knew I could handle this vehicle and loved how easy it was too drive. We felt no pressure to purchase the SUV, but definitely know that we would. Oren sent me links to read the manual in doing so, I was becoming educated and comfortable after reading and digesting all the features of this car. Oren was so thoughtful, friendly, considerate, negotiations and fair value for my trade in when very smooth. While working with Oren, the manger and other staff stop by to welcome us which we appreciated very much. Before I go to a dealer to purchase a new car, I try to do as much research on the internet as I can. Then follow that with some e-mail exchanges with several dealers as I start to hone in on specific vehicles. In my search for a CR-V Touring, Jennifer Medina was especially helpful. She told me about available inventory, how long it would take if I wanted to order one, and even provided pricing including special discounts and incentives. Compared to some other Honda dealers that I contacted she was a fountain of information. I would highly recommend Jen to anyone interested in buying a new Honda.

My wife and I purchased a new Honda from Honda of Joliet. We thought it was a good idea to stay close to home so we could have the vehicle serviced in that shop. We needed our first oil change and my wife stopped in with the car Friday night after work. She was turned away because she didn't have an appointment. Fine, next time we make an appointment. My wife, eight months pregnant, made an appointment for today. She got there on time and was told that it would be two hours. Is this acceptable to you? I don't think it is. We thought we had a dealership we could count on for future purchases, service and references to others.
I am a former employee from Honda of Joliet. I just want to make it aware to customer's that I have never seen a dealership give you the best price up front. No haggling needed! (Check out there prices before you go to another dealership).

We recently purchased a car here and I'm completely satisfied at the customer service we where provided by our sales guy Eddie Huerta he was patient, knowable, and not pushy at all. Can't wait to go back and purchase other cars from our local Honda dealer and our new go to guy Eddie.
I had to visit the service center for a recall on my car. I called ahead and made an appointment and asked for a loaner car. When I arrived they weren't ready for me, weren't aware of the loaner car and registration took far longer than it should. I was told by phone and when I arrived for the appointment it would take 2 hours for my car to be ready. After 3 hours I called to find out if it was ready and was told to head back, they were just finishing up. Once I arrived my car still wasn't ready and the "extras" they said they do such as vacuuming the car weren't done once I finally got my car. Of course since my service was no charge, they tried every way possible to get me to agree to have other services done. They said I need all 4 brake pads replaced and it would cost $585.00! I laughed and said no thank you, I can get them done for less than half the price. This review is only in regards to the service department.
I wish I could post photos of the elegant Sharpie sign that read Service Center draped in package tape over the railing outside in order to paint a more accurate picture of this dealership run by 2nd graders. I scheduled our first appointment for our brand new Honda Insight (oil change and it had a mechanical issue where the fuel lid kept popping open stellar right?) I arrived 10 minutes early, and ended up waiting over 2 hours before anyone approached me with an update. They had to drive around the block (for 30 minutes) and it solved nothing. They asked to keep the car for a few more hours (which would make us late for work; who has all day?) They said it s covered by the warranty. I rescheduled for next week because loaner cars are backed up for the week...
Making appointments clearly is pointless. Call off work, pack a lunch and maybe a tent, buy or bring a Nintendo switch to play with the tortured children who s parents are suffering with you, and document your journey in a one star review because you ll have plenty of feelings to convey.
EDIT: so they posted a nice new sign for the service center, (well done). Taking care of us when it came time to wait for our loaner was quick and efficient. We only have the default one year warranty on the Honda Insight so I m hoping that this sensor issue was more of a fluke. Took about a week to order part, replace sensor and get situated.
Abigail scheduled me right away to see a car I was interested in. She was very friendly and professional. Hardy was amazing! He helped me get a good deal on my Honda Pilot! He knew everything about the car I was buying. I would recommend to ask for him personally if you are looking for a car.
Buying a car at Honda Superstore of Joliet was a great experience!!! It started with a request through their website-The tools they had on the site helped get a best price and the follow up call from Ash to invite me in for an appointment to make that price happen was fantastic! With the help of Ash, John, Eddie and off-course Missy the owner they made the process very simple and easy. Any questions that I may have had were answered before I could even ask!!! They were so friendly and inviting we couldn t have asked for a better experience.
