Clean store, very friendly staff, good product selection.
Our 'go to' store!

Small little Home Hardware. Staff there are very friendly and are really helpful. If they don't have it they can order it in within a day because the warehouse is also in St Jacobs.

If there is ever anything you need and they don't have it....ask and they will get it for you. When it comes into the store they call to let you know. Great service

You need to have a place for people with health issues to pay! with Debit! Walking a. Challenge

Very clean store. Lots of staff who will seek you out to ask if you need assistance of any kind. Order desk prompt and good at follow-up. Lots of quirky fun items in decor sections signage art and nifty iron work clocks even hanmade soaps candles and lotions. Good overall general selection of regular use items. Well stocked for a relatively small store. Water refill station. Free bag of theatre style Popcorn on Saturdays for munching while browsing. All staff very friendly except for grumpy brisk Manager Alex. Maybe he will come 'round one day.

Lovely store as it's in the village where Home Hardware was born.

Smaller range than the big DIY stores but convenient enough for the basics.

Question for Home Hardware St-Jacobs Ontario, will the winter car covers you sold 10 years ago come back, why, because it did last at least 5 years without breaking up, like most of what is sold across Ontario today, when you pay over $800.00 for a 10x20 winter car cover, your protecting your investement, and that is very important, so can you please answer the question. I will rate top star, IF my question is answered honestly, by the owner.

Employees are always friendly. Store is bright and clean with no clutter.

A very nice story. It always looks clean and organized, and they have great employees on hand to help. They also have lots of great products on hand that other Home Hardware stores don't always carry.

Great selection, friendly and helpful staff. They get some really neat and unique products that you wouldnt expect to find at a hardware store. I love the paint department, its the only place that i buy paint from now. The home hardware brand items are really good too, and great price points

I have always known that Home Hardware is overpriced more then places like Home Depot. But, I still shop there as it is a local company.

However, I must say that their price matching doesn't make much since when it comes to "price matching".

I was looking to buy a Kayak from Home Hardware, which they were selling for $499.99. Not a bad price, but I was about to find the same Kayak at 2 different sites, including Pelican Canada where they are selling it for $369.99, free shipping.

So in trying to sport a local company, they still wouldn't price match because, and i quote "we wouldn't make any money if we price match that Kayak as it costs us more to buy it".

In other words, they will price match only if they make money.

Home Hardware is a fantastic company, and this is what I would call a premiere location. It's actually located in two sides of the street, with one being a traditional HH store, and the opposite side being focused on furniture offerings. Plenty of parking in the nearby lot. HH has more than just a "hardware" store, and verges on a general store in a lot of respects, while still offering a great selection of hardware goods.

Generally love this place, but, picked up a Country Hardware tarp today. exclusive to Home hardware. Big Print 6X8' so I grabbed it as that's the exact size I needed. Get it home stretch it out and its smaller. Retrieve the packaging and see in fine print "actual size" 5"8 X 7"8 . Extremely misleading and not what I needed.

Excellent place for grabbing home supplies. The staff is friendly and helpful. They honestly go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure you pick the right product for the intended use. The expertise of the staff is unmatched compared to any other big box stores. Home Hardware has a unique place in my heart as it consistently manages to distinguish itself when it comes to service. They truly keep the customer first in every sense.

Online stock is never correct, drove to 2 stores that claim to have stock online. IT people need to do some serious work. I like using local company's, but have a bad experience.

Staff are great. Bob was able to help with a watch battery even though it was closing time.

When are you going to get your TV commercials straight. There is certainly more than one building centre, but your stupid commercials for building centre is never plural.

Very interesting, not only for tourists. There are very beautiful handicrafts. Some objects are of local origin, and are very interesting from an artistic point of view. Of course, they are also made in China, meaning souvenirs for all pockets.

Got the makita drill/driver set I wanted with bits on order very quickly, very satisfied, all you need to do is ask and you'll be helped. Getting my order in a couple days. And the sales yes please.

Great local hardware store. Although I have Lowe's and Home Depot nearby I visit here regularly to find the things I can't find or can't get help with at the box stores.

On my most recent visit I was searching for a new toilet. A staff member came to my rescue right away. We talked about options and decided on one in no time. He told me to go to the cash to pay for it and meet him outside. He'd have it ready and waiting for me. Sure enough, he was waiting when I got outside.

Whenever in St. Jacob's we stop in the village. While the attractions of the actual village have dwindled (bookstore, Benjamin's, chocolate shop, ice cream caboose all gone) this place is fun to visit. Free popcorn Saturday mornings (maybe more days?) friendly service, good selection. We try to buy something here every time, nice people. UPDATE: Summer 2020 we enquired about a screen door repair and they phoned our local Home Hardware to see if they did that service. We got it repaired, and thank you for the help.

Love this store...always good people that are happy to help and good sales today on seasonal items.

They have a lot of home essentials, here almost you will find everything for homework.
