Great store with plenty of goods. Staff are friendly and helpful. I asked Matthew if they have a specific cabinet hinge. They don't carry it but Matthew pointed me to a store in Kitchener to get it. Thanks so much.

Being one of Home Hardware's hometown locations I was not disappointed. To start there was reasonable parking available in the back for a store downtown along with acceccible entrances and the outside and inside have been well thought out.

I went in with a plumbing question and was quickly helped by a friendly and knowledgeable representative who readily answered my questions and listened to my home renovation plans and had some additional recommendations and suggestions.

I had a construction deck project on my home and needed a propane heater the was on sale at all the stores I was going to tarp up the deck and do the work. I called Victoria St. Home Hardware and they were almost closed and they said they didn't have one but St. Jacobs had one and the sale was over the next day. They said that they would try to help me and provide a "rain check" so that I could get it sooner. I drove to the store and they happily offered me a solution. I was finally able to get away and pick up the the right one with my rain check. I didn't think it would be a problem as they said it was not a private owned store but the corporate store. So I called St. Jacobs store to make sure they still had it as I could not get there any sooner. A lady answered and put me on to hold twice and then finally a guy answered and his name was John. I told them what I was after and he check it out and said that he would not honor the rain check and that he was not willing to help me in a positive way to give me my sale rain check price. After several minutes of him telling me how he was refusing to assist me I finally said I really thought I would be calling you to offer me some help not an argument to give me good service. I figured this was a waste of time and told him he should treat his customers and help me with a solution and not to treat me bad only to tell me why he couldn't resolve my request with a solution. If I treated my customers with as much disrespect as he did with me I would have been out of business by now. John was rude and disrespectful and totally unfair and unaccommodating. I'll never buy there ever. To the manager. I'd be looking for someone else to run the show when the boss is away. What ever happened to "Be Kind" He doesn't know the meaning.

I'm a general contractor for over 35 years and that's NOT the way it's done. Coming from Kitchener to your store actually costs in my time and gas to shop locally more just to support local businesses during our time of covid19. John. You obviously only think of only your paycheck and not your company reputation or valued customes who provid the money for your overpaid employees. Construction is the backbone of your business. Merry Christmas to you too.
