A Historic Spot that's well maintained and surrounded by a beautiful park.
One of the gems in Staten Island. It is filled with stories about the birth of our country, and the historic meeting on September 11, 1776. A very enjoyable way to spend the day
Beautiful park, from the historic conference house to the large grounds. Walking along the shoreline is great too
Absolutely beautiful!! Lovely people who maintain the house and that are on the comitee...beautiful grounds and beach. Who doesn't love history? A must see and you can join to help keep it there for generations to come .plus they have lovely festivities too!!
We love this place in the summer or the winter, at any time.
When I was a kid I would visit the conference house and got to learn alot about the history behind it. Kid friendly beautiful place.
After months of the 2020 Pandemic quarantine, a serene break at Staten Islands Conference house park. Newly renovated pier on the most southern tip of New York State.
I am a Revolutionary buff, highly recommend a visit.
Great place to walk trails or beach.plenty of deer and birds
Excellent place to walk and enjoy nature and the sea .... also to admire art that has been made with recycled things I recommend to spend a nice day with the family
Historic and informative is what we thought of our recent trip to the Conference House. Our tour guides genuinely love the house and know it's history so well.
We will be back for future exhibits.
Terrific historical lesson of the colonist of Staten island with tour by Dennis a invaluable lesson of American history knowledge for those who love history of our community and country !
If you haven't been inside this historical structure, you owe it to yourself to take a tour. There are various events held here throughout the year, and the docents provide insightful details into the house and its former occupants.
the old guy at the entrance is a racist. (against Asian) just stopping by when the museum is open and a group of people just walked out and was told we can not go jn. what a funny and shameless person. btw I got here on Sunday 29th September afternoon
It's a peaceful place nice view and you can fish too
Nice open space for planning outside activities, as well as hosting occasional family public events. Only downside is people don't clean up after themselves and/or dogs.
It's a historical landmark that occasionally gives tours the building is related to the American Revolution
Beautiful park and wonderful view of the water between NY & NJ.
Quiet section of Staten Island with deep historical roots. Absolutely worth the time to go check out.
An amazing site for history fans, kids, families and anyone who wants to discover a place with gorgeous views and amazing stories!
Beautiful place to go for a walk get intouch with nature and the beach is awesome aswell
Great place for a family outing lots of trails for biking and hiking beautiful scenery right next to the water
Beautiful park with wonderful views. The interior isn't always open, but you really feel the history when it is. Another fantastic feature is the park/beach right next to it, with great and easy walking trails. Parking is always easy, even if the park parking is closed.
Learning about the history of america has always excited me. It was interesting hearing a tour guide tell us all about the history of the conference house. Also being able to touch and look at a place where history was made was magnificent.
The greatest tour of a historical house I ever been on and I have been to a lot the tour guide was great I highly recommend checking out this place
Great place to be on the tip of staten Island New York !!
Historically important house.
Very good tour.
Worth seeing.
It is, however down on the south end of Staten Island.
Its grounds are very nice. They keep it very clean and well taken care of. There is plenty of parking. The beach area is nice. I was inpressed with this little secret place.
One of the oldest places in New York City and one the best places to visit.
The Conference House is probably one of my favorite hidden historical Staten Island gems. Not many New Yorkers know that a great historical event occurred right under their noses. Between the amazing architecture of the house and the historical value as well as the view of the ocean the conference house is probably the best spot to visit during the summer or spring time.
I go to the Christmas fair here every year. Though it's not as big and well attended as it used to be I still wouldn't miss it for the world. Any excuse to get into the old"manor house" works for me. I love it
Benjamin Franklin was here! During the revolutionary war, September 11, 1776, the king tried to arrange for a truce here at this very building!
The conference house is a Beautiful place to visit in the Heart of Tottenville, Staten Island Ny. You can visit the conference house,Biddle house,Alice's Garden, The new Pavilion where you can have a awesome time looking out on the water. I also take my Children bike rideing on the nature trails, they love seeing the deer, ducks,Blue jays,Cardnels ,Blue jays. I would recommend this place to everyone!!
Lots of Staten Island history. Very peaceful. Fishing. Views of New Jersey. People dancing in covered area.
Peaceful beach walking, spontaneous piano music, thanks to city park program.
The conference house is a nice place for the kids to run around, see the water, and enjoy fresh air. We also walk the trails that lead to the beach!
A beautiful historic house with great views of the ocean and lots of history about the American Revolution. The conference house is a great way to spend the day.
