Joyce at Fordham Marble was incredibly helpful in our selection of Taj Mahal quartzite for our kitchen remodel. Fordham Marble provided us with a digital layout of our countertops and backsplashes on the slabs we had selected, which helped us visualize the end result. Their installers did an excellent job with the installation. The countertops really make for a stunning kitchen.

Fordham Marble in Stamford, CT exceeded our expectations. We recently renovated a large kitchen and used Fordham for counters and tile. Joyce Sardo was amazing. She listened to our needs and asked questions to get a sense of our style . She worked with us from start to finish.
The end result was nothing short of spectacular. She provided not only advice on design but effectively served as a general contractor. Her recommendations for installers and the hands-on attention she gave to our project helped ensure it was done by our deadline. The installers she recommended were top notch as well, professional and high quality work. No matter the size of your project Fordham can help.
I highly recommend Fordham Marble and we will be using them again for our bath remodels.
It has been a pleasure working with the team at Fordham Marble. Very professional, a broad selection of stone & tile, expert templating and fast turnaround. I look forward to working with Fordham Marble again.
I have been a happy customer for more than thirty years. Whenever I have a project involving countertops, backslashes and flooring my first and only stop is Joyce at Fordham Marble. The selection is the best anywhere and Joyce is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are competitive and the experience is always a pleasure!
We hired Fordham Marble to replace our existing kitchen counter tops. The morning of the install two men arrive bright and early. Upon entering the house we were told the existing tops needed to be removed. What ? After a call to the office add $1000.00 Once they finished and left we started putting back the cabinet draws. Guess what. Yes two draws won't close because they don't fit under the new counter. What ? Another call to the office and...you guessed it we were told we need to hire a carpenter to fix the draws. What ? Buyer beware !
We chose this company because they had beautiful stone for our kitchen at a really great price. We decided to do a quartzite countertop because, as we were told, it would be very low maintenance and sturdy. We took a sample of the stone, tried to etch it, did an acid test, and even had it independently confirmed that it was indeed quartzite(sometimes stone sold as quartzite is not actually quartzite, so this was important). Our entire kitchen look was based around the look of the quartzite we selected from Fordham.
After we selected our stone and put a deposit to hold our 2 slabs of stone, our original salesperson left the company. This was not a huge deal, but we only found out when we reached out to ask a few questions. We moved forward and everything went well with the installation. That's when the issues began.
At first we noticed staining on the stone itself. We were very confused, because the first stains were not in areas of our island we had even used yet. Then the area of the stone right around the stove became covered with grease stains from normal cooking. We contacted Fordham and they told us it needed a different sealant, something that was not offered before the stone was installed. They sent someone out to look at the stone, he put some stuff on a couple of the "larger" problem areas, which was supposed to remove the stains. Not only did it not work, it actually made the staining worse.
Since they came to "fix" the problem, they have not responded to any of our emails. We were able to get them on the phone once, and we were told they were sending someone out that week; that was 6 weeks ago. At this point, we will likely have to hire another company to try to fix the issue, if it s even solvable. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering this stone is the anchor point of our kitchen. Something obviously went wrong, and they have been unwilling to fix it.
Lisa at Fordham Marble is the best! She is very professional, extremely knowledgable about her company's products, always responds quickly, and very easy and enjoyable to work with. As a designer and contractor, and someone who works with many vendors, I can't imagine working with anyone else in this industry. She and Fordham Marble are on time, do great work, and make me look good. I couldn't ask for anything more!
We could not have asked for a better experience than with Fordham and especially Lisa. From the moment we entered the beautiful showroom we were treated like old friends. Lisa worked tirelessly with us to achieve our dream kitchen that truly expressed our aesthetic. We could not be happier.
My countertops are amazing! The quartzite is beautiful. Fordham marble was very professional and helpful. The beautiful showroom has the most wonderful displays. Joyce, who helped me was so kind and patient. All the people involved-Dimitri who did the templates, the foreman who cut the stone-and did it so seamlessly, Elias and Robert who did the installation--all did an excellent job and were pleasant to work with. I am very pleased with my experience working withFordham Marble and the excellent outcome.
Mayson was a true value add, efficient, creative, and made life easy and more importantly fun. Workmanship was excellent and installers (led by Elias) were fantastic. Wish the rest of our renovation was as easy!!!!!
Fordham Marble is One of a Kind!!! My new Kitchen is Awesome! I Love IT!!! Many thanks to Mayson and the Team!!! The dedication and professionalism of Mayson and the team will always be a memorable experience. Such professionalism was seen from the showroom to the installation of my granite counter tops. Everyone seems to have the same characteristics of pleasing the customer to the fullest. And such characteristics are so natural and authentic. The environment is warm, inviting, and exciting. Also, the marble selections are truly awesome with so much to choose from. Fordham, thanks again for Everything!!
Choosing a company to supply and fabricate your counters is not easy. If you have ever dealt with home renovations, you are aware that some companies are stellar when it comes to quality, product and service, and other companies make your life excruciatingly stressful, delivering a costly yet sub-par product which you will just have to live with.
Working with Fordham Marble was like going to the spa after dealing with the majority of other stone suppliers and fabricators (and contractors). While price competitive, time conscious and quick to turn your dreams into reality, the Fordham Marble team does not rush through any job. They have decades of experience and it is clear they have a vested interest in giving you the best possible product and making sure you are happy once the job is complete.
We chose Fordham Marble to fabricate our calacatta marble counter tops after meeting with and getting pricing from four other stone fabricators. We went with Fordham Marble because they are honest, and suggested design details like hand squared corners (most fabricators round the corners and didn't give these options in the conversations that might have led up to putting money down) for our job.
Mayson (sales & design) and the skilled stone fabricators in the Fordham Marble factory are extremely detail oriented and treat each customer's job as though it is the most important one they have going. They listened and were responsive to all of my questions and concerns about the process, and delivered a beautiful finished product (When dealing with natural stone which always has imperfections, fissures, and unevenly distributed veining this is no easy task). Each member of the Fordham team is an expert at what they do in the design, layout, fabrication and installation process.
Demitri came and perfectly measured my cabinets and around my sinks. He gave me options about the amount the counter would overhang the cabinets, whether or not to have the inside lip of the glazed cast iron sink exposed (more old fashioned)or have the counter overhang the sink edge slightly (more contemporary). Next was approving the layout of where the slabs would be joined and the direction of the veining. We were given the option of doing this online or going to the factory to see in person we went to the factory to work through the layout with Lou in person and approve. Seams were beautifully matched :they were able to finish the back of one part of the slabs to match the veins up with the front of one of the other slabs for a completely camouflaged seam. You just don't get this kind of amazing workmanship from other places I can tell the Fordham sales team, designers, technicians, stone fabrication specialists and installers really cared about getting it right for my kitchen.
Throughout the process they were very responsive to any concerns or questions I had even after the counters were installed and we had paid in full. I noticed after the installers had gone that one of the joints was rough and a bit uneven within a day or two one of the stone fabricating specialists was at my door, smoothed and rehoned the seam, and you cannot feel or see that seam. And Fordham was happy to fix that small spot because they genuinely care and take pride in what they do. I highly recommend working with Fordham Marble because they deliver a level of expertise and commitment to a high quality product that is tough to come by in the stone supply and fabrication industry.
We recently purchased our quartzite countertops and tile from Fordham Marble. They have beautiful pieces and displays. Joyce and her team were wonderful in helping me through the selection and installation process.
Extraordinary experience in selecting my kitchen stone tiles at Fordham Marble! I could never have selected such a beautiful product without Mayson's expertise, design assistance and patience. The showroom and service is amazing! I look forward to working with them again. HIGHLY recommend Fordham Marble.
We worked with Joyce at Fordham for two bathrooms and our kitchen. She was knowledgeable, helpful and knew exactly how to guide us through the unknown of tiles, marble, quartzite, etc. They have a great showroom and beautiful slabs for you to shop! Great experience!!
It is with great pleasure to recommend working with Mayson at Fordham Marble. Mayson was able to work within our budget and time constraints to redesign our kitchen and bathroom. He is an extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy and dedicated individual. It became very apparent that Mayson is truly passionate about his work, down to every little detail. Working with Mayson we never encountered any surprises and the communication was superior. We had a couple of last minute changes that he responded to very quickly and was able to accommodate. I would not hesitate to refer Mayson to prospective clients at any point in time!
We worked with Fordham Marble on a remodel of our kitchen and 4 bathrooms. Mayson was amazing at working with us to understand our design style and what we were trying to accomplish to create a wholistic look for our home. He made sure the tile installer had detailed specs on how the tile should be laid out for the install to avoid any miscommunication. We were very happy with our experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fordham based on quality, selection, service and value for money. Also Lou the installer for the countertop in our kitchen is a master!!!
I cannot say enough about our experience at Fordham Marble. We went to a number of places to look for countertops and a backsplash, but no one could match the selection or the personal service we received at Fordham. Mayson was amazing in helping us find the exact right stone - and really honest about what he thought would and wouldn't work with our design. (That kind of honesty is priceless.) Then, once we chose our counters, the measuring, fabrication and installation was flawless. We're thrilled with how things turned out, and I would recommend Fordham Marble to anyone.
Had a small kitchen project, sales people were very helpful but what arrived after I payed full price was horrible. Inaccurate measurements, bad install, huge Seams and wrong depth for one piece of countertop. Replaced one piece and still it was wrong. Horrible beyond words and difficult reprise to get it fixed. Still not resolved as they dismissed me. If you have average job, please don t use Fordham. Horrible service to resolve if not ever.have photos should you want to see their install.
We recently completed the remodel of our Master and Guest bathrooms. After visiting numerous stores we purchased our tile and countertops here. We had the pleasure of working with Mayson. He listened to what we wanted and was always available to answer our questions (both in person and via email). After a number of conversations with Mayson we returned to the store where he laid out a beautiful selection of tiles for each of our bathrooms. He totally understood the look we were trying to achieve. Our bathrooms look even better than we imagined and what we thought would be an overwhelming experience was truly enjoyable one! Mayson and his team were one of a kind.
This showroom is out of this world. I also saw some of Fordham marble's work in Architectural digest. They have been in business for over 110 years. When i went in i didn't think i was able to afford them but they helped me work within my budget. I am happy with my new kitchen and hope to be back when i purchase my new home next year.
Fordham Marble just helped me with my Tudor home renovation. I had a vision for all the stone in my home and Fordham made it look even better then i imagined. From my kitchen countertops to my new master bath, Fordham thought of all the details. I loved the Fordham showroom, and my salesperson, Joyce, was always there to answer my questions. Fordham is the best one stop shopping I did for my entire project!
