Clean, good amenities and services. Bed was firm (good if you like that, not so much otherwise.) Pool was rather small but indoor so usable year round.
AC didn't work in our room and we weren't even offered breakfast. What a let down. Lamps were neat though. Water pressure was like an old man spitting on me.
Seen a 6'8" crossdresser guy with a beard walk in for a date . Lol
Dated. Room was musky and just felt gross. Poor water pressure and took forever to get hot water. AC unit is sooooooo loud. Would not stay here again.
Pretty fantastic stay! We were given great service and our beds were pretty comfortable.
I was there for a children's consignment sale. It was nice and clean.
Very clean, organized conference area. Well maintained facility, good for professional events.
We stayed here for one night and didn t have the best room experience, but Barbara at the front desk made our stay a bit better. She was very helpful and understanding of our concerns about our room. On arrival she was very nice and professional, she was one of the best customer service experiences I ve had. Thank you Barbara for all your help!
The staff is wonderfully accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable!
Clean and comfortable room. The room seemed a little dark but was also a rainy day. Didn't have the curved shower curtain or an exhaust fan in the bathroom that I like. I thought the breakfast buffet was one of the best ones we have had so far. Good service, too.
Not too nice. Barbara Coates at front desk is a nice lady.
The AC is loud and the curtains leave a gap for light to pass through on the side. The gym is missing essentials
Great room, very clean, GREAT price thru Priceline.
Very convenient for getting to Logan Airport.
Made it in 20 minutes at 3:40 AM, was even able to go back to the hotel for some more shut eye, that was was able to avoid the morning commute to go back to NH/VT.
Will gladly stay here again.
Rooms are fine. The layout is extremely confusing. It is very easy to get lost inside. The gym and pool are unmarked. Elevators and stairs are difficult to find.
Very neat Hotel, up to Holiday Inn standards. Slept 4 in a double room without problems and at a very convenient price. Air conditioning / heating was working OK. Can't complain
First pulled in and found heroin needles in the parking lot. Then go to use the side door and the key card entry was broken off so the door never locks. No refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. I've stayed at many holiday inns and this one is by far the least pleasing.
Definitely not one of the great Holiday Inn locations that IHG should be proud of. Stained carpets, hard bed and generally in a distressed state that one might equate with a lesser discount chain. Maybe we just happened to get a bad room as we've seen both better and worse reviews. One good thing to go with the bad, the water pressure was really good, too bad the drain was clogged up and the water could not drain
My stay at this hotel was most enjoyable. The Room was clean and comfortable and the staff most helpful. I would especially like to acknowledge Marty, the restaurant manager. He did an excellent job in assisting me as I am totally blind and he was wonderful about helping me Get my breakfast each of the 2 mornings that I was there. I have no trouble recommending this establishment to anyone who might be traveling in this area
A/C not working, filthy carpet, overpriced and breakfast not included without addtl $11 per person. Steer clear.
Shuttle broken down, no place to eat, vending machine won't dispense after you use your credit card. Here for medical reasons so not impressed. Would give it a minus 0 if I could.
Didn't stay at the hotel, only used the conference Hall. Plenty of space for the 30+ people we had, with room to spare.
Room was dirty. Half used roll of toilet paper left in the bathroom during a pandemic. Pretty gross. You say I didnt stay there and I beg to differ. My wife reserved the room. Room 313 and her name is alicia stepp. And I'll also go on to say that the electronic lock on the door was such a piece of junk that my wife was not physically able to open it and I has to do it every time because it stuck so bad. Behind the bed was disgusting. Dont even want to think what that was back there
Cancelled family's reservation without notifying us. Would not recommend
A wonderful hotel in the perfect location close to where I do business!! The staff at the Front Desk are very attentive to the smallest of needs, especially Carlos! The hotel offers a great breakfast in the morning in where the A la Carte Menu caters to both the hearty and the healthy eaters : ) I particularly enjoy the full buffet that they also offer. The staff in the restaurant always greet me with a smile and always keep my coffee cup full! I'm there so many times in a month that the servers even greet me by my name now! This place truly feels like my home away from home...and in the end, that's what you want a hotel to be! Great Hotel! Great Service! Great Value! A+ in my book!
They were clean and staff was ok..I just felt like the entrance looked kind of like a prison entrance ..but other than that
If you can get passed the tired exterior, the rooms are greatly updated. The friendly staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the surroundings. Major chain restaurant in the adjoining parking lot.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUG INVESTED NASTY DIVE!!! Disability discrimination at its finest by this hotel and its "manager"!!! This place is DISGUSTING and will charge you a bogus/fraudulent "cleaning fee" (no actual extra cleaning done by them like they claim for $250) if you are disabled and have service dogs. The rooms and hotel smell (I actually saw what looked like human feces in the hallway on the floor... A housekeeper noticed us grossed out by it/trying to avoid it and hurried to pick it up), outside doors don't lock for after hour safety like they claim, room had bugs, carpets have burn holes, among other non working things in the room (the rooms are very old and nasty haven't been updated in years and are very poorly kept), elevators don't work correctly and doors will stick shut or open (no lie I rode with housekeeping to the 4th floor and when the elevator wouldn't work correctly she started flipping the stop/run switch off and on many times till it started working, surprised we didnt get stuck in it) We travel LOTS for work and this is THE worst holiday inn I've ever seen and unfortunately had to stay in, I have never been treated so poorly by a manager because of my service dogs. They claimed the room smelled because of our service dogs, when we tried talking to them about the $250 bogus fee we were taken back to the room to see the "damage/smell" and the rug cleaning they had to do. Upon entering the room the same nasty smell was present, the carpet showed ABSOLUTELY NO sign of being "professionally" cleaned like they claimed for the $250 fee (not damp, and not any cleaner what so ever... It still had the same nasty odor as when we checked in) I wasn't born yesterday and by no means a dummy, some things are just common sense/obvious. THEY COMPLETELY LIED BY SAYING IT WAS FROM US/OUR SERVICE DOGS AND CHARGED US THE BOGUS CLEANING FEE FOR THERE ALREADY NASTY ROOM!! (The room was 100% left in the same condition AND smell as when we checked in) I was told to wait for another manager to come in (waited at least 45 mins for him) to speak to about the charges who was AWFUL and completely degrading to me about my service dogs, I was called a liar and told he was going to charge us the fee regardless when I pointed out to him that he/the hotel was lying about this AND cleaning the carpets like they claimed he got very nasty and hostile demanding I leave right away and said he "didn't want to hear it anymore", he then proceeded/threatened to call the cops to have me removed from the property (because he didn't want others in the lobby area hearing how bad the rooms were, the bug issue was or the fraudulent fee issue.) Unfortunately we HAD to be in the area for work and this was the only room we could find available in the area for our stay down here (very busy area for several reasons) or we would of left after seeing this gross place, we paid top dollar ($180+ up to $285 certain days while there) to be treated so foul by this place and the completely ignorant manager. Do yourself a favor if staying in the area and go up to homewood suites by hilton (better prices and way better updated and very clean hotel), or stay in your car (because you would be cleaner and safer) What an overall AWFUL experience, and I didn't even mention the booking issue/error we encountered as well. Ugh, what a shame to be treated so poorly and so badly because of a disability and having service dogs, this place should be ashamed of there nasty property, horrible employees and charging people bogus fees for being disabled!!!! Do yourself a huge favor Holiday Inn and hire better quality nice people, take pride in your hotel/rooms and don't discriminate disabled people with service dogs who stay with you often by lying and scamming them out of hard earned money. What a disgrace :(
Solid place. Close by shops. Very convenient!
Wish there was a light for the room besides lamps.
Hard beds, water pressure awful, no fan in bathroom - got really hot in bathroom.
Used this facility for a function. The staff was amazing to work with. They were on top of everything, went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed, and made us feel welcome. The space itself was perfect for what we needed, clean and well maintained. I'd use them again anytime.
Bed was too hard and had to pay extra for breakfast!
Nice rooms with a buffet. But the front desk gave me a key to a room with someone already in it. Overall still a nice hotel.
We were in Peabody Mass. But was too far from start of parade in Boston. Very hard beds. Clean.
Room is large without being to big. All the staff were professional, courteous and helpful, particularly as far as assisting me in getting to local attractions.
It had an old feel to it. Probably needs to be updated.
Location was easy to get to. Room size was decent. Staff was very accommodating. Lobby and hallways seem like they need a little TLC.
Had a great experience. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was great! The pool was perfect temperature, and clean. I will definitely be booking here again next time I come back. Thank you Holiday Inn!!! :):):)
The room was clean and big enough for 8 guys to change and get ready for a wedding with no problem staff was very polite
From the reservation process on through to the question I had on billing when I returned home - every contact point was professional, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.
In my experience, customer service these days typically leaves a bit to be desired so when I find a place like this one where EVERY person is working hard to be excellent at it, it stands out.
And the rooms were clean and comfortable... what more could you ask for?
The only complaint we had was regarding the road that brings you to the hotel's driveway. It is really poorly laid out and difficult to navigate. This, of course, has NOTHING to do with the hotel itself. But it was the only issue we experienced.
We will absolutely be staying here again should the need arise again. And recommend you do too if you need a place to stay in the area
Staff was friendly. The headboard in the room is all chipped and old looking through. The overall feel of the room wasn't very clean, and the toilet paper was pretty much more than half way used. I got a deal so I can't complain a ton but definitely a little disappointed with the whole experience.
Nice room with comfortable bed at a reasonable price.
Being at this Holiday Inn was very comfortable and enjoyable. Although coming from a city with free continental breakfasts at all the holiday Inns, it was a little bit of a shocker to no have a free breakfast. The 10 dollars was not even worth the spread of the breakfast items at all. And other then the rapid turn off of the highway its location was fairly simple to find. We didn't spend much time in the hotel but the rooms were more than enough space and kept very clean.
The rooms are very dated; carpets are scary, no fans in the bathrooms with wallpaper which is not a good match, gym small and dated, smells humidity in the room, no space dedicated for working with laptops...however, bed was comfortable, breakfast was good and the room was quiet.
Very accommodating staff. Late flight had us checking in at 4 am, so we did check out until 1:30 pm.
Coffee maker in room did not work so we had to pay for coffee from a vending machine. Staff just shrugged.
This hotel is alright. I'm here on a school field trip and the food SUCKS. but I guess that's not a big problem. other than that, the beds are nice, the bathrooms work okay, and the rooms are attractive. don't go here!! not because of the hotel, but because why would you want to be in Peabody Massachusetts??!!???2$2$:$:!?
So 10 days in hospital after getting covid at holiday Inn express in peabody. Lobby video shows people checking in, walking around....NO MASKS!!! and I have heard nothing from this hotel!!! There are so many great hotels on rte 1. Stay the hell away from holiday Inn express in peabody. No protocol in place, no care for the welfare of the guests!!
This hotel needs help... a lot of help. We came in for a wedding and stayed there 6 nights at the end of June. The hotel was fully booked and we were given an "upgrade" to a suite for no extra charge, and we think we know why. The carpet in the living room was very dirty and had large dark stains. The AC unit didn't work, and it took three days before workmen came in to replace the entire unit. The AC unit in the exercise room didn't work, either. The card key wouldn't work on the 2nd day and had to be re-keyed. There were just two single elevators one at each end of the hotel and they were often used by housekeeping, which made them very slow. The printers in the "office" didn't work when I tried to print off my boarding passes. Then, the hot water boiler broke down and we were without hot water for over 24 hours ( two mornings.... the last of which was our checkout day and we had to fly back to New Mexico not having bathed in two days. ) Poor maintenance and poor administrators....they had no idea how to handle the deteriorating situation. After talking with the front desk personnel for a while, they agreed to comp us for the last two nights, when they should have offered that immediately. The accepted guests without telling them there was no hot water. Hotels were fully booked in the area and we had prepaid, so we stayed there and made the best of a bad situation. Bottom line: don't stay at this hotel until they either demolish it or totally rehab it.
Nice staff at front desk.. helpful, friendly
Great breakfast!
No bar, remote located, personnel could be more friendly
Nice clean rooms, friendly service, great good pool. Carrabas restaurant excellent! Wish the rooms had mini-fridges. Also would appreciate some dairy-free and gluten-free options for breakfast.
You sr eon camera if you go to the pool? Is that even legal?
Nice, affordable hotel conveniently located to Salem.
Very nice, very clean and comfortable, I really loved it
Well what can I say? The place needs to be remodeled. It s pretty ran down. But not bad if they don t charge you over 100.
Great service. Very expensive for what it proposes.
Great hotel! We stayed during a snow storm a couple weeks ago. We couldnt travel due to a driving ban. We took a chance with this hotel and we are glad we did. The staff was very attentive and all smiles. Our room was nice and clean, and the bed was comfortable just like one at home (ok it was better than the one at home =P) We had choices of where to stay with 3 other hotels close by.....glad we pulled in to Holiday inn. Special thanks to the guys working on the snow removal for helping me get my car out. We will definitely be back again.
Rooms were dated. Staff was attentive. Breakfast wasn't good.
Clean, friendly staff but they never mentioned they had a pool and I wanted to swim...damn!
Nice basic hotel. Large room, nothing spectacular. A bit pricey for being a Holiday Inn. The beds were a bit creaky and not particularly comfortable but fine....
Interesting to note: if you are looking for an alcoholic drink after 10pm on a weekday, you're out of luck.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. A few minor blemishes in the finishes (small peels in the wall paper, things of that nature), but for the price it was a very clean room and overall excellent stay.
GREAT staff.very accommodating.. Rooms are nice and clean.
The welcome is cold not enough to serve a tea or coffee when arriving
The eggs in the morning were a bit watery. Other than that my stay was very good.
Stayed here a few times. Love the room, comfortable beds semi-reasonably priced.
Seemed to be an older Holiday Inn. Clean, but in need of a renovation.
Had to park here for an event at spinelli's on the other side of route 1.
Had to change rooms a couple of times. The second time because of smoking on the floor. We were told it was supposed to be a smoke-free floor. Not the cleanest of hotels.
Got charged 200$ for incidentals I m assuming, for god only knows why, got nowhere with customer service. The room was disgusting! Curtains looked liked they hadn t been dusted in years! Woke up coughing my brains out. Horrible!
