Attended an event, the room was a good size. Toilet facilities were very good. The staff were very polite. Not overly expensive.
New year eve party rubbish more like a kids party.food was rubbish not organized will never go again
Great Hotel. Amazing staff and good breakfast. Unfortunately the pool was out of order this time but it is a very welcoming place. Will definately go back.
The room I had was in desperate need of refurbishment, wallpaper peeling, windows bolted shut with a large nut and bolt through the frame....so you can not open the window.....this exaggerated the temperature problem.... the room temp is set to 23 and only allows you to change by 3 degrees...(see text in photo) more than a little too hot to sleep in (it's October at the time of writing).
The furniture was dated and the lighting in the room insufficient.
The room was clean and tidy.
The staff friendly. However someone did try and overcharge me for a bar meal and drink, I'm not convinced it was a genuine mistake given the response when I challenged it.
Was here for a boxing event, it was very enjoyable.
The Inn has been very helpful, we have been here for my sistors wedding and the room and service has been brilliant
Outstanding customer service from check-in, bar and restaurant, the team make you feel very welcome.
I stay in a lot of hotels through work and they re all much the same, HI is a typical city centre hotel and what makes it stand out is the brilliant team.
Ideal for one night, Very Costly but Breakfast is a must have.
Staff are always very helpfully but the rooms really need an upgrade very tired looking.
Fantastic, friendly and helpful service. All the paperwork dealt with very quickly. I fully recommend!
City centre hotel with some great staff who make the stay pleasurable. Unfortunately the hotel needs some money spending on it but it's okay
Polite staff, fun and engaging entertainment at works do. Average prices for alcohol. Nice facilities also.
Great function room and facilities, friendly staff !!
Great location in Bolton and friendly efficient staff
Staff helpful its clean n tidy will stay again next time am in bolton
No stars for this hotel, room was very tired looking in need of a face lift, for a deluxe room not good, breakfast ok but we did have to ask for our tea and coffee as no waitress can to are table, and please note no swimming pool even though it said so on the website
Wonderful staff, exceptional service at dinner in the resturant, easy uncomplicated business stay.
Stay here regularly. Bathroom s are a little bit dated but a small price to pay. The best, most friendly, accomodating staff I've seen anyway. Late bar, comfy beds and nice and close to the vaults for a lovely night out. Love this place.
Went for a wedding really nice venue, drinks were pricey but was good night.
Christmas Party last night!!! Winter wonderland. Everything about the night was spot on, food, all staff and the DJ was great!!! Thank you will definitely be coming back
People were shouting up and down hallways and at about 12 midnight one of the staff member came into our room without permission after we popped our head out of the door to see what all the chaos was about.
One of my wife's family stayed there, not overly impressed. And when we visited coffee was not brilliant
It's far from a holiday and I suppose it's an inn wish I could stay out though.
We had a great time at the holiday inn bolton, its close to the town centre, the rooms where warm, comfortable, and a good size tv to fall asleep to, Breakfast was fantastic including the service
Staff were Great & food was good! (I HAD A STEAK). I just feel the room needs updating, especially compared to the Holiday inn off the M1 I stayed in last week.
Heavy Smell of smoke from our room but when we called reception we were told it was a non smoking room and that was that! Nothing was done about it. The bathroom wasn't clean and there was no soap and only 1 towel. When I called to ask for a few politely, I was asked to check again. So I checked again and called back but received a frustrated sigh this time. Receptionist came upstairs and gave me a soap and not the towels. We let it go but we did pay a lot for this stay as it was last min booking for us. Kind of feel robbed when you don't get basic amenities.
I have attended a few social events here and it's a nice venue. The reception area to the party hall was not air conditioned so it can become rather warm when there are a lot of people.
Been here on 3 occasion but very disappointed this time.evening meal was not up to usual standard.when we came to have breakfast it was a shamble dirty tables, coffee machine not working, plates brought in but was cold and was dirty, ran out of cups and ended up with plastic one's,ran out of orange juice and only one member of staff waiting on.a total disgrace only when we came to pay our bill did we get an appolagy.if we don't get a refund at least for breakfast we won't be coming again and you'll find we won't be the only one's.its sad to say this as it is a lovely place to come and not too far for us but love to stay over as treat.
Kept asking for breakfast voucher bit I had paid for breakfast every day already. Asked for double bed, got 2 singles. Was really dirty and snapped spoon behind cupboard which I found looking for plug socket. I won't be staying again.. I'm in Bolton every month for a week so they will lose thousands from me.
I used the pool for a swimming lesson. The changing areas are cramped and dated, however the pool was warm.
The hotel location was great but the service and the staff where totally disappointed, not recommended and will never come back.
A hotel with an old church as an integral part. Superb wedding venue. The bedrooms are standard and enough. The wedding venue is big and perfect. Many staff serve a lovely tasting meal at the wedding. Highly recommended for a wedding.
Basement car park ( free ) only holds about 40, but plenty of public car parks around
A great experience here too ! Part of the Emmerdale tour. Couldn't find anything negative to say. Top quality food, staff and very clean. Would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.
Room a.c. broken and window screwed shut. Just given a noise fan.
Food is poor and pay for all extras with limited vegetables.
Never offered tea or coffee at breakfast have to chase staff and will get it when due to leave.
Noisy most weekends I've stayed there due to organised events like weddings and parties. They've closed the pool and sauna permanently, which is a big downer.
We went down for a works conferance. Easy to find and there is a small carpark under the hotel and an npc carpark closeby. The hotel itself is very clean. We didnt aee the accomodation rooms but the suit we were in would make a fantastic location for a wedding/civil ceremony reception as looked like an old church. Food was lovely. I probably wouldnt suggest the room for a corporate function as it doesnt have a projector etc but there were plenty of other rooms more geared up for this -- there were just too many of us.
We have stayed there twice and first time was pretty much perfect, the second time the room was stuffy and the meal was a disaster, however the staff could not have done enough to put things right.
I would highly recommend this place
The staff are always helpful. I get married here later this year. Can't wait.
Second time staying. Still as good a quality as last time. Will more than likely stay again next year.
The holiday inn staff are very friendly, giving priority to guest who use the gym facilities. I enjoy usong the facilities as my work out requires.
A lovely venue with friendly and approachable staff!
Clean rooms and a great function room. Great location for anyone visiting Bolton and wants to stay in the centre close to all the best food places.
Decent standard hotel. Offers a great, eat as much as you like, full English breakfast.
Rooms are reasonably well appointed with fairly comfy beds, although the duvets work a bit too efficiently for me. Friendly staff contribute to making it a pleasant stay.
Parking can sometimes be inadequate even though there are two car parks, one above ground and one underground.
Breakfast wasn't worth a tenner. Room was standard, could have been cheaper.
Needed to make a late reservation for a room for the night so I was not stopping on the street . Rooms where available I drew cash out my account on a Saturday and could not put it back in the bank as the bank closed at 4.So b ecause I did not have money in my account which I explained to the receptionist they would not allow me to stay in the complex. I feel it was because I was dressed in a hoody and categorised me as scum which when speaking to them I got that impression thankfully for me travel lodge was very helpful with my predicament and was more than helpful very pleasent. But on this basis I would not recommend these at all appalling the way I was treated
One of the best Holiday Inn hotels I've stayed in.
Great friendly staff, clean rooms, free secure parking. Would have got 5* but the rooms need updating as looked tired.
Loud music was playing till 2am! Executive room was a joke, bath and shower I wont even comment. Waste of money and going sleep in my own bed tonight. Never coming to this again!
Went for Christmas Lunch again, great church know as cloister. Food lovely will be going again next year.
I have stayed at this hotel for the last two weeks, and it has been one of the most comfortable and welcoming hotels I have been to. The staff are friendly and willing to help! The food is good reasonably priced and decent portion sizes. I have to give a special mention to the front desk staff. Mainly Natalie jade and the front desk manager Vicky. They were absolutely fantastic in resolving a little issue I had and for that they deserve a special mention. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area
A great place enjoyed the RCN meeting on 'Staff Levels'
Lovely hotel. the environment is nice and cosy. Warm reception received from staff.
Very old and in need of modernisation. Dirty and shabby
It was better than when I last visited in 2011. Facilities have been upgraded. I was really impressed by the staff, very friendly and efficient, good service
A nice hotel but unfortunately the air cons were not working during a rare hot day in Scotland.
