Went to a wedding reception here nice enough. Clean ,fairly quite bit pricey
Went to a wedding reception here nice enough. Clean ,fairly quite bit pricey
Nice and clean rooms. Breakfast wasn't great, some of the food where hard and dry, there wasn't any butter for toast and we had to wait a while for items of the breakfast to come out.
After 50 something years, this is the first review that I have felt the need to complete. The professional, yet polite and friendly service that has been given to me this past week has been nothing short of amazing. All of the facilities, and staff......especially Taylor and Andrew, have been fabulous ( I hope that I have spelt their names correctly). This is an ideal conference and training venue, and one which I will not hesitate to use again. Thank you again.

Had a coffee with some friends. Great staff made us feel very welcome.
Visited for a wedding. A good time was had by all!
A very friendly hotel underground parking but not enough parking to accomodate amount of rooms and to say they have rooms for meetings
I went to a wedding in the Cloisters Suite. This is a stunning old church that is seamlessly joined with the hotel. The function was excellent. Staff were helpful and polite.
Nice open conference room, little parking but luckily got a space.
Clean rooms, great service, free gym and sauna to guests and members . Free parking to guests. Good food. Comfy bed. Had a great stay !
Was very disappointed with this place, on arrival the bathroom floor was wet ,and used towel had been left in the bath tub. Terrible lighting in room. One of the lights didn t even work. Dated furniture. For a Hotel in central Bolton I expected more, especially considering the price we paid. I ve been to better B&B.
But the breakfast buffet was wonderful, plenty of options and variety. Polite staff.
Went for a wedding. Reasonable venue. Wedding hall was nice.
Staff and facilities were excellent food grateful good beds 10/10
An OK hotel. Good breakfast, nice and hot swimming pool, sauna and a wee bit old equipment in the gym. But overall a good hotel
Window didn t open air con wouldn t go below 20 degrees (C) and staff were useless and were impolite
Rooms are dated, service was meh, parking was full. Food was decent and the hotel had good amenities.
Really good hotel, staff can't do enough for you and perfect for town!
Stayed here whilst attending a wedding. Excellent room and clean hotel
I didn't stay there, just went with a friend so she could check in. The room was spacious and nice but the lift was tiny and I'm a giant
Lovely rooms. Staff helpful and always pleasant. Very clean.
Rooms were fine with comfy beds. They didn't cope well at breakfast, ran out of cups and tea and there were quite long waits getting things sorted again.
Rude staff food overpriced and not very good staying on business would not stay here ever again
Opened a conference room for me so I could feed my baby. Although an actual room would've been better as I was worried someone would come in also, conference room chairs aren't the best for breast feeding, either way, they did help.
Does what it says on the tin!! Good conference venue
Friendly helpful staff
Nice comfortable rooms and a good breakfast on offer.
Nice fresh looking reception . Shame the rooms aren't. Cleaners knocking room doors trying to get in around 8 ish and we had booked breakfast and as we were late getting in the night before we missed it by a few minutes not even any offer of a coffee
Comfy stay, nice breakfast. Rooms are a good size and very friendly service
Went to a wedding three weeks ago beautiful service beautiful place to be married. Very good food too
A great place to hang up your boots for the night - very comfortable beds and spotlessly clean (if somewhat functional) rooms plus you can turn up as late as you like (though it's worth booking by phone beforehand just to be sure there are rooms free). Staff friendly and helpful with excellent all-you-can-eat full English and Continental buffet-style breakfasts. Own car park with easy access to hotel. At heart of city centre and very good value for money.
Last time I visited for a party the AC was either not turned on or was not working.
Attended a wedding event here. Never knew how gorgeous a place this was. Ample parking and wheelchair access.
Excellent place, right in the centre. Everywhere was spotless and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Made for a great stay.
Attended a wedding there lovely place and the staff was great
It is a great venue for NEU Meetings and quite close to Bolton town centre.
The food is good, although sometimes the wait between courses can go on too long.
Staff is friendly. Good hotel if youre here for business. Rooms should be redesigned and refurbished as it brings me the 90's feeling while the bathroom is super modern.
Nice hotel, staff were helpful and restaurant was good.
Great hotel and really great staff, nothing is too much trouble for them
Really nice, rooms clean, bed comfy, staff very pleasant, lovely breakfast and free parking what more could you want?
Run down room in need of refit with 2 single beds even though booked a standard room, then couldn't be moved to another room as hotel was fully booked. Slow service at a peak time on reception due to understaffing. Very poor based on previous experience at holiday inn hotels.
Very helpful staff, small but very well equipped gym and pool. Good breakfast too :)
Not as good as I thought it should have been. Not good value for money.
An ok hotel. Nothing great but it has decent rooms a good breakfast buffet and well located. Friendly staff.
The room wasn t too nice. It had a smell of mould. When we returned to the hotel later in w enough we couldn t park, we were told there was a conference on and would have to go and pay for car park in the Casino! Bearing in mind it s late, dark and have three children to walk back, I wasn t too happy. It caused great inconvenience! Not a great service and won t be staying again .
Lovely staff and delicious food downstairs, but the rooms aren't amazing - fine to rest your head for a night. The one issue with my room the staff resolved for me while I was out.
This hotel was our worse nightmare. The hotel is old and does not look very clean.
The hotel also offer car parking for their guests which we considered more secure than left our car in the street. However during our stay our car was vandalised in the middle of the night while it was parked in the hotel car park. This car park is actually under the hotel itself and our car was next to the door that give you entrance to the hotel, but no one saw or listened anything (very suspicious). Our car had 2 broken windows, the service book and 2 bags with new clothes we got for our kids were stolen.
The CCTV didn't have enough information for the police to do something. The hotel does not want to be responsible for the damages. The management had a terrible attitude with us being ironic about the event. They also asked us to do the check out when we were calling police and insurance, knowing obviously we did not have anywhere to go as the car needed to be fixed. For this reason, we stayed around 6 hours with our kids (2 and 9 years old) in the lobby, while our insurance could solve the windows of our car. My toddler could not have a place to take a nap due to the circumstances. The hotel has empty rooms and could have offered us one while we solved the issues.
The attention was really poor, I wouldn't stay in this hotel ever again.
I stayed over a night on business. They put me in the wrong room - I was fortunate that they did the same to another guest so we swapped.
The room was very dated and not comfortable at all. The cup in the room was dirty, there were marks on the walls, the drawers didn't close properly and the chair was filthy
At breakfast there were no cups for coffee, no beans - took ages to refill the items that had run out... tables weren't reset so had to wait an age for cutlery.
The staff were friendly.
Definitely NOT value for money and I won't return.
Parking is also very limited
Good hotel for getting into Bolton centre
But miss the swimming pool
Holiday Inn with a decent bar and gym so public areas OK. Rooms larger than usual but a little tired
Nice experience, staff are welcoming and very polite. Breakfast was nice (standard) hotel is clean. I gave 4 stars because of the location, I didn t feel entirely safe, there were a few intimidating people around the carpark watching vehicles and looked to be on drugs, (I appreciate that s got nothing to do with the hotel, just the location) and finally another reason for only giving 4 stars is, I think it s over priced for Bolton, no disrespect, but that s London prices, I thought up North would be cheaper.
But having said all that I do think it s a really nice hotel and staff are doing a great job.
Thanks
I attended for the Take That tribute event. There was a 3 course meal which was very nice and well timed. The band was very good. All facilities were of a very high standard. My only complaint was that the drinks were a bit expensive but no worse than other hotels. Would attend another event at this hotel.
Room was very big. Staff were very helpful and polite. Recommend staying here.
Lovely hotel. Staff very pleasant. Prices are good. Plenty of food choices.
Lovely place staff attentive shame it was a bit pricey on drinks x room was beautifully set for the wedding I attended x
Good location decent room but air conditioning in room not working temp 28.5deg c no matainence staff at weekends unbearable at night time could not sleep
Nice place to stay with comfortable, clean rooms and reasonably priced on-site restaurant. Salad bar a bit sparse on content. Good well-lit parking area and close to main amenities
At a wedding n several ended up ill bcos of food (eggs), found out chef was cooking while having flu
We just visited this hotel with our u12s football team. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and efficient and the whole stay was wonderfully handled by them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
