Nice and clean rooms. Breakfast wasn't great, some of the food where hard and dry, there wasn't any butter for toast and we had to wait a while for items of the breakfast to come out.

After 50 something years, this is the first review that I have felt the need to complete. The professional, yet polite and friendly service that has been given to me this past week has been nothing short of amazing. All of the facilities, and staff......especially Taylor and Andrew, have been fabulous ( I hope that I have spelt their names correctly). This is an ideal conference and training venue, and one which I will not hesitate to use again. Thank you again.

Was very disappointed with this place, on arrival the bathroom floor was wet ,and used towel had been left in the bath tub. Terrible lighting in room. One of the lights didn t even work. Dated furniture. For a Hotel in central Bolton I expected more, especially considering the price we paid. I ve been to better B&B.
But the breakfast buffet was wonderful, plenty of options and variety. Polite staff.

Opened a conference room for me so I could feed my baby. Although an actual room would've been better as I was worried someone would come in also, conference room chairs aren't the best for breast feeding, either way, they did help.

Nice fresh looking reception . Shame the rooms aren't. Cleaners knocking room doors trying to get in around 8 ish and we had booked breakfast and as we were late getting in the night before we missed it by a few minutes not even any offer of a coffee

A great place to hang up your boots for the night - very comfortable beds and spotlessly clean (if somewhat functional) rooms plus you can turn up as late as you like (though it's worth booking by phone beforehand just to be sure there are rooms free). Staff friendly and helpful with excellent all-you-can-eat full English and Continental buffet-style breakfasts. Own car park with easy access to hotel. At heart of city centre and very good value for money.

Run down room in need of refit with 2 single beds even though booked a standard room, then couldn't be moved to another room as hotel was fully booked. Slow service at a peak time on reception due to understaffing. Very poor based on previous experience at holiday inn hotels.

The room wasn t too nice. It had a smell of mould. When we returned to the hotel later in w enough we couldn t park, we were told there was a conference on and would have to go and pay for car park in the Casino! Bearing in mind it s late, dark and have three children to walk back, I wasn t too happy. It caused great inconvenience! Not a great service and won t be staying again .

This hotel was our worse nightmare. The hotel is old and does not look very clean.
The hotel also offer car parking for their guests which we considered more secure than left our car in the street. However during our stay our car was vandalised in the middle of the night while it was parked in the hotel car park. This car park is actually under the hotel itself and our car was next to the door that give you entrance to the hotel, but no one saw or listened anything (very suspicious). Our car had 2 broken windows, the service book and 2 bags with new clothes we got for our kids were stolen.
The CCTV didn't have enough information for the police to do something. The hotel does not want to be responsible for the damages. The management had a terrible attitude with us being ironic about the event. They also asked us to do the check out when we were calling police and insurance, knowing obviously we did not have anywhere to go as the car needed to be fixed. For this reason, we stayed around 6 hours with our kids (2 and 9 years old) in the lobby, while our insurance could solve the windows of our car. My toddler could not have a place to take a nap due to the circumstances. The hotel has empty rooms and could have offered us one while we solved the issues.
The attention was really poor, I wouldn't stay in this hotel ever again.

I stayed over a night on business. They put me in the wrong room - I was fortunate that they did the same to another guest so we swapped.
The room was very dated and not comfortable at all. The cup in the room was dirty, there were marks on the walls, the drawers didn't close properly and the chair was filthy
At breakfast there were no cups for coffee, no beans - took ages to refill the items that had run out... tables weren't reset so had to wait an age for cutlery.
The staff were friendly.
Definitely NOT value for money and I won't return.
Parking is also very limited

Nice experience, staff are welcoming and very polite. Breakfast was nice (standard) hotel is clean. I gave 4 stars because of the location, I didn t feel entirely safe, there were a few intimidating people around the carpark watching vehicles and looked to be on drugs, (I appreciate that s got nothing to do with the hotel, just the location) and finally another reason for only giving 4 stars is, I think it s over priced for Bolton, no disrespect, but that s London prices, I thought up North would be cheaper.

But having said all that I do think it s a really nice hotel and staff are doing a great job.

Thanks

I attended for the Take That tribute event. There was a 3 course meal which was very nice and well timed. The band was very good. All facilities were of a very high standard. My only complaint was that the drinks were a bit expensive but no worse than other hotels. Would attend another event at this hotel.

We just visited this hotel with our u12s football team. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and efficient and the whole stay was wonderfully handled by them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
