For the price I was not impressed. I have stayed in cheaper hotels with just as nice rooms. There were dirty socks under the bed from a previous guest. So guess they need to clean better. The biggest thing was the fact that they wanted to charge for WiFi. In this day and age that's pretty ridiculous.

This is a lovely property. The reception staff is very friendly; our room was comfortable and clean. However, I was expecting more from a breakfast offered to Hilton diamond members. There were only a few mediocre options available free of charge and an option to upgrade to buffet breakfast for $11 per person. This was disappointing. Clearly diamond members business is not appreciated at this property. Just remember that little things make a huge difference when you want to keep repeating business.

Great.

June 30, 2018: Traveling down to NY from Maine but couldn t find any reasonable priced hotel near Manhattan. Every hotel below $350 was sold out. It s already 9:00pm and we didn t have a room for the night yet. Luckily we found this and decided to book it even though it s good distance from downtown New York City but the cost was only around $200. The hotel is so big you could get lost in it. Every corner is nicely decorated. There re in-door & our-door swimming pools but we didn t have time to check them out. The room is new, nice, clean and roomy enough for us. The lady at Reception told us the self-parking garage was supposed to cost us $10 but the gate was wide open and there re not many cars (weekend maybe) so we could park for free. There is a small park right next to the hotel and a very nice shopping mall near by. A visit to the mall is worth your time. From now on whenever we visit New York we ll rather stay here and drive to Manhattan because it s not too far. Highly recommending this hotel.

Stayed here on a Saturday night. Hotel was very nice. Nice sized TV in the room. They were holding at least 1 wedding there that got out of hand and I didn't get to sleep until 2:30am due to people in the hallways being loud. Ended up having to use earplugs to fall asleep.

Situated very conveniently not far from Newark airport. Well presented lobby and comfortable rooms. Staff are friendly and accommodating and the bar is comfortable and roomy. Located opposite the Short Hills shopping mall which is chock full of super high end stores like Gucci and Tiffany & Co. Enter it if you dare or leave your credit card at home. There's a Cheesecake Factory and a Legal Seafood restaurant there too which make for some good evening dinner choices.

I was not expecting much, since I was unaware of the wealthy area surrounding this hotel. Modern aesthetic to the lobby & hotel itself. Very kind staff, helpful, not one bad apple out of the bunch. Breakfast buffet was a bit pricy, but definitely worth it, if you re hungry. They also have an option to order off a menu as well, with waiter service.
The lounge looked very nice and chill, didn t spend too much time in there, nor did I get to the rooftop bar.
The parking garage was a good idea and we weren t charged. Very convienient.

Had a slight issue when supposedly there was a power outage overnight, which lead to a mixup of assigning rooms, and somebody else was trying to get in our room at 7 AM. Thankfully, the deadbolt was on, and I went straight to the front desk. They were very apologetic and comp d the room for the night, so no big deal. They dealt with it very well.

Be careful on planning any event here ! This Hilton is substandard when it comes to the professionalism of its management staffing, customer care and overall responsiveness. When you take the time to actually give feedback they are dismissive and insensitive towards an amicable resolution. They are on to the next transaction!

Nice suite. Satisfactory service. I stayed for 2 nights in 624 with my wife, kids and believe it or not a ghost. I almost always scoff at people that say the same thing but the bottom line is there was something in that room. Saw it with my own eyes it would never have believed it I heard it come from anyone else. I kept it quiet over the brief time we were there until the morning we were leaving in my wife mentioned she had seen something as well. The hotel itself is satisfactory the hotel personnel did a satisfactory job.

Premium hotel at a premium price. Very nice facility both as a hotel and for catered events. Well-trained staff - on site. Unfortunately if you try to call the hotel to make a reservation they dump you on an off-shore call center that not only cannot match the Travelocity price for the same hotel but insists on going through an unnecessary up-sell call script that is not worthy of what the brand used to be.

Awesome Hotel! The Parking Lot is really confusing, but if you stay more than one night, you'll get used to it. Customer Service is Excellent. It is upscale, offers wonderful food. Rooms are super clean and with modern decor.

There is Breakfast in Bed, and if you are a Gold or Diamond Hilton Member, you get Complimentary Breakfast in the Dining Room next to the lobby, or the Executive Lounge on the 7th Floor. Rodney was super helpful during Breakfast, he remembered what we wanted on the first morning, and gave it to us on the next days, so he was awesome.

The Concierge on the Lobby is super helpful, for New York City Attractions and Transportation Information. The Mall at Short Hills (Across from Hotel), is also a nice walkdown place to shop and dine. They do have shuttle services to the mall.

I personally think the back Forest Views are nice, but make sure to keep your Windows closed for Bugs. The hotel doesn't even have microwaves in the rooms, which we wanted. Our Safe in our Room also didn't work. Otherwise, everything else was great.

They also have Specified Parking in the lot for Avis and Budget Rental Car Customers, along with Charging Stations for Tesla Cars (which was super helpful, since we have a Tesla). *Note: The Tesla chargers are not superchargers - they are Tesla's own Wall connector. You get 20-30 miles per hour. This hotel is a Tesla Destination Charger.

About 20 Minutes to (EWR) Newark Airport. 10 Minutes to nearest train stations (Summit and Short Hills). The hotel was amazing. I will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I needed a room for one night for a friend's wedding and everything from checking in to checking out went smoothly. The parking garage was the only slightly confusing part about it as it had an unusual layout. Still though, no problems with that either.

This is nice comfortable hotel with helpfull and friendly staff. The only item against is the resturant in the hotel. Thought the front of house staff was very friendly and provided good service the wait for food was fairly long and the food is only average while being expensive.

A nice clean hotel in Short Hills. It is a walking distance to Short Hills mall which is convenient. Stay there couple nights for a business trip and it did its job. The staff is friendly. One thing I found odd was that they charge for hotel shuttle. I've travelled extensively for work and this was the first time I was charged. I'm not sure if it was because of the mileage or since I was getting picked up from the train station. It wasn't expensive but something to take note of.

Security let a drunk woman into my in-law's room at 2:30am. She didn't know where her room was. Instead of checking with the front desk, they just started randomly opening any room she thought was hers. My son was sleeping in another room, monitored, but still it would have not been good if they had let her in our room a door away. I did not feel comfortable here after this incident. This should never happen.

"Celebrating the 4th of July at the tri-states most enjoyable resort hotel..The Hilton Short Hills"

The Hilton Short Hills has been our favorite stay-cation hotel for the past 5 years.
Short Hills New Jersey is an upscale community less than one hour away from New York and walking distance to one of america's most elite shopping venues..We visited the hotel on the July 4th weekend and had another delightful stay.
Each year when we need a break from the maddening routine of everyday life we visit the Hilton Short Hills. We arrived at the hotel mid afternoon on Saturday, and were warmly greeted by the hotel doormen and desk staff. The hotel with its dark brick exterior gives no clue to the beautiful and elegant lobby with a fabulous handblown crystal chandelier and marble floors. We had reservations for a facial and body message at Eforea, the hotel's renowned Spa and quickly changed into swim wear for a few hours at the outdoor pool in the sun prior to our spa treatments. We had two hours of uninterrupted sun and swimming before we checked into Eforea on the lower level of the hotel.

We were warmly greeted by April Tidey, the very charming and delightful spa assistant manager,. April is upbeat, knowledgeable and friendly She made our visit to the spa totally enjoyable. She assigned two expert aestheticians to help refresh and invigorated our tired bodies. Mission accomplished!

This hotel should be shut down immediately. Hilton should be embarrassed by the way the staff in this hotel act. Disgusting attitude towards guests. We were a party of 15 with kids, and by the pool area they had 2 "Hilton Security" walking around like a highway patrol asking people to put away water and snacks. The weather was so hot that we needed water to just stay hydrated and they didn't allow us to even drink our water. They asked a little girl to take her snack outside the pool area. When it came time for lunch, we sat outside the hotel and started eating, as we were eating the same security guard came to escort us off hotel property because we weren't allowed to eat outside. They should be ashamed of themselves. I warn anyone looking to stay at this hotel at anytime during the year to re- consider and choose a different hotel. Don't get excited about the price. You'll find better hotel, better staff, and much much better hospitality elsewhere. I will never ever come back here!!

I had a work meeting in the breakfast room. Hotel was beautiful! Just had coffee, but server was very attentive. Only negative was the floor was quite warped and I almost tripped after I got up out of my seat.
