Price gouging. After another hotel messed up our reservation the day after Thanksgiving, I called the Hilton Short Hills to see if they had a room. I was told they did, it would be $289, and included complimentary breakfast. Halfway through booking, the call was dropped, so I had to call back. Somehow in that 45-second interval, the price went up to $314 and no longer included breakfast. Not a huge increase, but price gouging is a crappy practice and one I wouldn t have suspected from the Hilton. It ll be a long time before I book another room at the Hilton, and I have several trips coming up.

Went to Eforea Spa I believe on my bday, was very nice clean and the massage was good. One plus I liked they allowed spa guests access to indoor pool, however not the outdoor pool that was for hotel staying guests. Its a little tricky to get inside at the time I think due to construction. Not sure if prices were high, but I gather competitive, if I would recommend to others to give it a try. There was a small con, they charge clients for the use of the scented body oil, I have had massages before and that is included in the service. I thought that was rather unfair as no one wants to get a massage and not smell the aroma while getting it, due to having to pay extra. That needs to be changed.

This was my first time here. The outside of the hotel, pool, lobby and everyone who works here were great. No complaints there.... however, I was a little disappointed at the fact that I brought my leftovers and there was no microwave in the room. The fridge was cleverly hidden (which is fine) but I couldn t eat my left overs at 1am. The amount of money I paid for just one night, would have you think you would have basic things like a microwave. I stayed here for my AMEX points.... but I ll be staying at the Cambria from now on where it s just as pretty with Bluetooth mirrors in their bathrooms.

Lovely facility with space for large conferences on the lower floor, with breakout rooms on both the basement and 2nd floor. Plenty of support for technology and audio media solutions and recently good lunch and dinner selection. Parking lot is a little confusing but free. Valet available.

This place isn't what it used to be. Spa no longer...

This place isn't what it used to be. Spa no longer exists, service is meh, everything else, meh. Room came with a lovely cracked screen tv. Wait, that s the second room I was given, 1st room the a.c. wasn't working. So, figured big deal, cracked screen on the tv, what could be so bad, well you can watch tv, but a nice cross on the front of it as if I'm praying to Jesus. So tv wasn't really an option. So, I trucked down to the men's spa, wait, no more spa....So then I went to the men's locker room to take a nice "shvitz " in the steam room, darn that s not functioning properly either. So, then I decided I can get some heat in the jacuzzi ,water is nice and hot, but wait, something is wrong here ,it's on, but the jets aren't working. No jets and just laying in a bath of hot water with a bunch of kids, I love kids but this big bathtub immitation jaccuzi is for adults only correct. After getting wet I figured I'll go up to my room and eat lunch because I brought an amazing salad. Like most humans I keep my salad in the fridge to keep it nice and fresh and cool, NOT FROZEN. my salad was now frozen solid. So. okay I'll figure it's not a big deal, I'll just defrost it. That didn't work because now my salad is wilted. No food for lunch, good thing they offer food here. Which in my opinion is and should be hands off, don't feed it to your pet.
No spa, broken tv, broken jacuzzi ,broken steam room, and broken fridge.
After complaining to management about the issues at hand, and usually I never ever complain ,but the bare essentials as to why I came here wasn't functioning properly and the ONLY OFFER FROM MANAGEMENT WAS 25% OFF 1 NIGHT WHEN I STAYED FOR 2 NIGHTS. THEY WEREN'T EVEN WILLING TO EXTEND THE DISCOUNT FOR BOTH DAYS I STAYED...
In "short", I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone in the near future unless they figure their shizzle out.

Horrible. I would only give it a two star because of the general assistant manager Ayaz Akhbar, knows how to treat his guests, as well as the overnight front desk staff named Harold. Stayed there for two nights. Came all the way from Canada to summit, NJ to celebrate my fiances fathers 70th birthday. Nothing but headaches. Got overcharged for the hotel when i had already booked and paid for it. Basically charged me for 4 nights instead of two. When i got there the girl said it was just for incidentals until my credit card company called and told me about the massive charges. Then the next day spoke to the manager and told him that we needed our room cleaned not knowing he was the manager. Came back to our room after 7 hours and the room wasn't even touched. The food that we had left outside in the morning was still there. Ayaz made it all possible to move us into an executive suite, and tried to give us everything to make our stay wonderful. They also were convincing us that there was a microwave in the room, when two other front desk staff told us there wasn't. Such a shame when you know you have traveled to other hiltons across the world and they have never been like this. Never knew a hotel experience could be this bad. Very poor customer service from the rest of the staff.

Top quality accommodations, in line with what you'd expect from a large Hilton. Parking is ample, with easy access to multiple transport types and hubs. Rooms are spacious, clean, and (for the most part) quiet - though loud Jerseyites will be occasionally unavoidable. Overall, the Short Hills Hilton is a relatively upscale choice for those spending time in North Jersey-- you could certainly do a lot worse.

The hotel seemed very nice but they were hosting a wedding (which they said they do often) and there were plenty of screaming people in the halls making it difficult to sleep. I put in ear plugs and finally got to sleep around 2:30am.

Service was great and the hotel is beautiful. Surprisingly my friends and I found the beds to be very uncomfortable, which was surprising since they just completed renovations.

Also disappointed that the spa is closed what looks like permanently.

This place is nice but when you ask for a toiletry that you forgot, you should not get tired of waiting for them and go to a drugstore. The front desk was out and the person the front desk called never showed. But this is a nice hotel.

This was the worst experience I've ever had at hotel and I've stayed in many over the years! My kids weren't allowed to use the pool all day long until 6pm or 7am. The toilet leaked and needed to be plunged the minute we arrived and we were charged $30 for coffee and hot tea. I have Stayed at the ritz carlton which treats children 100 times better that this hilton hotel. You can tell they would rather children not even stay there. Never again.

Nice place. Clean, staff very accommodating. Indoor pool, outdoor pool, and gym. Room rate was reasonable because we were part of a wedding block. But, dinning was super pricey. $6 for a bagel, $6 also for a cup of coffee! And those were about the cheapest items. Fortunately, the town of Millburn, NJ is close by with plenty of restaurants and shops.

Finally a european equivalent 4* hotel in US. Breakfast is not impressive but over US standards. Parking is extra $10/night if you ask at the reception and they have a garage underground. But if you park outside to the visitor parking, nothing happens to your car and you park for free (beware parking at reserved spots) Again a classical US trick for charging you extra for something that you don t need to pay for...

Stay was pleasant, front desk staff was very friendly. Bar staff seemed grumpy and rooms were of equal caliber to other hotels in area of other brands. Room process seemed high for what you got

Place was nice, good people working there but I got 2 double beds instead of a king I am too tall for that and my feet hang off. The sheets weren't big enough for the bed so my feet kept resting on the mattress which is pretty disgusting to me

It's a perfectly nice hotel. I wish that we were able to talk to the staff directly about an early check-in rather than the absuive Hilton phone system, which was dishonest about when and how we would receive help and inevitably ends in a pitch for more Hilton services.

Customer service was great, the room we had was amazing. The self parking situation is confusing as thier underground lot is kinda hard to get to. There was a layer of soap coated on the glasses provided in the room which left them unusable. Also I was expecting they provide bottled water in the room but it wasn't there. Didn't complaint about it but things like this that keep me from giving it 5 stars.
