Excellent hotel where people from all over the world congregate - and that's just the staff. Best customer service I've ever experienced. Mark's deducted for not having Guinness in the main bar. Otherwise highly recommended. Excellent breakfast- great variety.
10 reception desks.. Only ever 2 staffed. Needs to get better
The restaurant offers limited choices ... the bed is uncomfortable ... the hotel is very obsolete .. but its location is fantastic

Initially I was in the tower block the room was not great with a broken light which was changed immediately on request then luckily transferred to the west wing where the rooms are luxury
Nice clean hotel in a great location near Hyde Park ane Paddington Station, so it's really easy to get around.
The entrance hall is beautiful, but compared to the price, it is quite dirty and some things are missing or not working such as bulbs in the lamps, there is no hairdryer and we only got one tiny flask of shampoo and one conditioner for 2 people. The bathroom walks are dirty and so is the refrigerator. The bathroom vent is very dirty too. So surprised by the bad standard.
Rooms are small not so clean. Hotel placed near the railwaystation and tube. Nothing special but good for business trips.
I celebrated with black beauty magazine at an awards ceremony, food and drinks was nice. staff was amazing and friendly. I was nominated for weave stylist of the year.
Besides accommodation, there are some other auxiliary services homed in the same premise, such as car rentals. I myself rented a car from the green motion rental car service located on the ground floor of this hotel. Green Motion's service process was quite handy in the first place, but amazingly it would make additional charges to your credit card on faulty grounds, in my case the so-called "admin fee", again almost two months after the car rental deal. Clarifications and investigation with Green Motion are ongoing as of 17 Dec 2015. /\. After multiple phone calls and email exchanges, it turned out that it had something to do with the "dart charge" which i had unintentionally dodged. Green Motion was simply observing its contractual obligations.
Lobby is very fancy and gorgeous, but the hallway on my floor was very run down and nasty
Enjoyed my stay here, hotel is within walking distance from Marylebone station, but might as well get a taxi if you have luggage. Big hotel, with a nice bar in the central atrium, bar on top was decent too. Room was nice. Edgeware Rd tube station a short stroll away so easy enough to get into central London. I liked the baggage drop off facility which you can use if you arrive before check in time, or if you want to explore and return after check out.
Horrible hotel.. they charged me 10 gbp for a bottle of water. Old rooms .. lousy beds. Understaffed
Very busy, so you must wait for anything you need to do or get. Including getting lift to your room, or table to eat something. Looks modern, but is already a bit outdated.
I would have given a 5 if the directions would have been better for the event I'd been to.
This hotel is located in Edgware rd, the heart of a thriving middle eastern community in London. There are many middle eastern places to eat in walking distance of the hotel.
The views from the top are amazing. Can see most of the city and looks really good at night.

Used the bathroom, let's just say they imagine they can smell money, went in with a friend who dresses different to the cliental, let's just say he can afford it and some, general experience was unpleasant. Ps. You can't tell who is going in through what, unless a perfect memory.
Air BnB folks, unless your older age group then you deserve a good service, that combined with the natural respect granted will work.

Nice stay, great party of London to stay at, everything is super close and you can literally walk to the places. Mostly pros very few cons, none worth mentioning
It was not a good experience for me, starting with the bad English spoken at the Client Relations desk and finishing with the hair in the bathtub. No chance of going back.
Bar and restaurants are fine but many of the rooms are tired. TV's are poor quality too! Shower facilities in the room aren't a very good quality either! There are better hotels in the vicinity.

Location - pretty good and opposite Edgware Rd. tube station. Food good but small portions. Rooms are fine but a little tired. Facilities very good and well organised. Would I stay again....yes.

It is not very clean. The wifi is not free either. The breakfast is good.
The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the TV is low quality. Breakfast was nice and concierge was very helpful.

Me, my husband and my daughter stayed here while visiting London and it was lovely, no issues. Wished we could have stayed longer but we will be staying here again when we re next in London.

Busy hotel with lots of rooms. But there are large open spaces to ensure it doesn't feel crowded. The breakfast has a halal section. The suite is very spacious, and offers a great view of London.
One of the worst stays in a long time. Old, dirty, stinky rooms, elevators. The lobby is the only new part I have seen. Never Hilton again!

Located very near to the train station. You can walk from this hotel to shopping (takes approx. 20-30 mins) and is very cool. I've enjoyed the walk. Rooms and staff are very nice!

The Metropole was a nice hotel where we stayed for a business conference. Had an excellent view from our 12th floor room. Room was clean, had a desk in a good location. All the important amenities like a good bed, plenty of hot water in the shower, safe, iron and board, and hair dryer.
There were a few disappointments: the ice machine on the 12th, 11th and 10th floor didn't work. I had to go to the 9th floor to get ice. No electrical outlets near bed so had to charge my phone on other side of the room. U.S. style outlet or USB outlet would have been nice. Some days wash clothes were provided other days they weren't.
Overall a pleasant stay, staff was helpful and conference facilities we're good.

Older rooms in the east wing are bigger, but dusty and not great views. Got switched to a newer refurbished room in the tower. Much smaller room, tiny bathroom, hardly any space for luggage. Could have dealt with all of that except the ac had been broken since we arrived. We're now in day 3 of a 7 day trip and the temperature has stayed near 25 degrees Celsius the entire time. They keep sending some one to fix it, but it still doesn't work. I'm a diamond member and still have not been switched to a room with a working ac. In addition, when asking to switch from the dusty room was told by staff in the executive lounge that there was nothing available without her even checking. Overall not impressed with this hotel. The lobby is modern, but deceiving in regards to the state of the hotel, in my opinion. There is probably a better place to stay with better service.

Stayed in a tower room.The room was nice.The shower/shower head was not so nice, it was broken.
Location is convenient to tube stations, M&S and paddington. Hotel is well worn and needs to be closed for a complete renovation, the lobby is nice but the actual accommodation is motel quality. Cleanliness and attention to detail by staff is lacking.

SHOCKING THIS COULD HAPPEN ON CHRISTMAS DAY AT THE HILTON
My table did not look like the table above; they couldn t be bothered to put table cloth on my table. Fleur the manager was only helpful when taking my money, after that she didn t give a crap. They ruined my families xmas day. I booked the main room & they stuck us in a bar without informing us, I am TEA total & hate alcohol, but because of Fleur i ending up in a pub on xmas day.. The lighting was VERY VERY VERY bad there was no xmas tree in this room & Santa spent all of his time in the main room. Disaster & not what I expected from the Hilton. Watch out for nasty Fleur Van Velthoven lies, She will sell you a suite, & when you turn up she will down grade to a SINGLE room. Nasty gal.
As long as you stay in the new modern section, then this is a great hotel - The breakfast is one of the best I've had from a Hotel.
My parents used to stay at this hotel when they come to visit me in london.Just an advice for the future customers.I rent a car in the green motion which is situated inside the hotel.They have been stealing from me.I rent a car for 2 days and they make me paid 1800 pounds.An advice never rent from them.When you go and ask the reception they will tell you to go and rent from them but don't make this mistake.Its look like hilton is ok to support these kind of business inside their hotel.Its a shame because I will never let my parents stayed to this hilton again.
