Recent stay over spring break. Very close proximity to sea world about a mile away. We drove straight to sea world at opening at 10:00am, enjoyed the park, then to hotel for check in. They were sold out so could not offer early check in, but still had our rooms ready at least an hour early. Allowed our little ones to rest then back to sea world. Did not have to take shuttle since we purchased the parking pass at sea world which allows you in and out access throughout the day. Convenient location and rooms were extremely clean and nice too! Rooms have been recently renovated. Not how this hotel got rated 3 stars.. Definitely a 4 or 5 stars hotel from my experience!

The hotel is very clean and the workers help with what you need. But they do not have security and they do not have cameras outside either. If you leave something in your car in the car, the robones will window your windows to grab your property.

The accommodations is above average for this price...

The accommodations is above average for this price and so was our breakfast.

We did a late check in and decided to have dinner at the lobby of the hotel. It turned out to be a bad idea because it lasted ages to the get our orders and the food itself was disappointing.

No house keeping the first night. Asked to change rooms because the heater wasn't working, the maintence man behaved as if it were our fault it was blowing cold air out, and they moved us to a room where right out the back door, was work going on.

I've stayed at this Hilton many times over the pas...

I've stayed at this Hilton many times over the past 5 years. The staff has always treated me well and, for the most part, they have been accommodating.

My main concern is that the overall upkeep of the facilities has been in steady decline. They really should consider room renovations if they want to stay competitive with the hotels closeby.

In my most recent visit, the room I stayed in was in the most disarray that I've ever seen. From the pictures I've posted, you can see that the closet door latch was broken, one of the lamp shades was damaged and crooked, one of the recessed ceiling light covers was only partially attached, and the worst... the shower floor was dirty! On their own, none of these issues would give me pause (except maybe the shower floor), but altogether, it shows a lack of ownership from the hotel's management.

If these were just isolated events, then I might understand. Unfortunately, I've seen variations of these issues with every visit.

Why do I continue to stay here? I am a Hilton honors member and these are business trips. This is the closest Hilton hotel to the place I visit.

If you have a choice, I would recommend some of the other hotels closeby. I know the Marriott is clean and maintained.

In the end, I hope that the management gets their act together and starts maintaining these rooms!

Beautiful hotel but my sister in law flew down from NC to see my brother, we go to the red roof in but we leave there and come all the way to the Hilton and they turn us down at 10 o'clock at night and we have no where to go. And the man at the desk was rude about it.

Its been awhile since I was there.

Its been awhile since I was there.
But the place was wonderful.
The staff was very nice.
I would diffidently go back
as well as recommend it to others.
The price is a little high.
But its worth it.

My friends stayed at the Hilton hotel and they said that the rooms were great and the staff very friendly and helpfully. The only issue was the distance they had to travel to find a good Mexican restaurant or a steak restaurant. In that location the nightlife is kind of dull

While the hotel was clean and rooms well kept, my bed was not as comfortable as I would like. I should blame this on having a very good matress at home which has spoiled me. Ice machine was out of service and Coke machine was empty of all the flavors I wanted. However staff was accommodating and polite

This hotel is located near SeaWorld. It is about 30 minutes from downtown and the price for what you get is of great value. The front staff had impeccable service. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are OVERPRICED!!! They do not have a mini fridge or a microwave in our room (family member staying in suite and they have mini fridge but no microwave). The rooms were average, nothing special. It took forever for the room to cool and there was a faint smell. Grandparents staying in yet another room didn't have working a/c the 1st night and the 2nd they offered a window unit for the suit so the living area didn't ever cool down and they weren't able to use it. The hotel took off a small portion of the bill for this major inconvenience. Another family member canceled their second night and hotel canceled 2 rooms instead of one and didn't offer any type of compensation, additionally they rented the room to someone else so they weren't able to rectify their mistake. Also I found a rusty staple (from staple gun) in the kid's pool.

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and they could not be more accommodating. The suite was gorgeous and although the rainfall shower had was broken the room was nicely appointed. The manager that night was lovely and let us check out until 2:30pm the day after our wedding. It was so kind of him and we are forever grateful that we had those extra hours to relax and not feel rushed to check out. :-)

The floors were stained and there was mold growing in the shower. No fridges in the room or anything upgraded such as usb ports or keurig coffee. Hot tub is broken. Our room phone kept ringing and the front desk couldnt tell us why. Overall not a great experience.

My stay at the Hilton Hill Country resort was so perfect that one day led to two days that led to three weeks in MY favorite suite in the Hotel Room 531. From the moment I arrived on the 28th of April, I was greeted happily by Skyler who was very helpful and the perfect person to welcome me there. Front desk staff are all Top Notch, led by Klarice, who was exceptional in every aspect of her position as I saw her running the front desk as well as various other responsibilities throughout the property, with complete confidence and ease. James, Cynthia,Jessie,Aubrey,Shawn, and Rebecca are incredible employees very helpful, truthful, and pleasant individuals, that it was an honor to meet. And wonderful representatives for Hilton. The property is gorgeous, with incredible majestic views of the Texas Hill Country. The Courtyard/Pool area was superb with Three massive Fire Pits surrounded each by 30-40 chairs for family and group interacting like marshmallow toasting, family movie night with movies projected on the wall of the hotel. Mostly it's perfectly it's quiet, star filled, and peaceful with many secret places to calm and gather your thoughts or just relax. The pool area is beautifully designed with the three pools and hot tub overlooking a massive, perfectly sculpted golf courses in the distance. At the pool bar and main bar Zinnia was completely knowledgeable on every single thing I wanted to know about the property and the city of San Antonio. Doug is an excellent bartender also however I mainly spent my time outside in the Courtyard/Pool Area. Other standout employees were Lea in housekeeping, Lucy who was so gracious as to show concern for each and every guest that steps foot in the door. Edward in engineering is an diligent very hard working individual that appeared to be everywhere at all times. I cannot express how impressed I am with every single person that works here at the Hilton Hill Country Resort and Spa. You guys were in tip top shape every aspect from Skylar again in valet, housekeeping, reception, restaurants, room service, Rebecca in the Giftshop, Jessica in the spa, and appearance. 5 STARS I can't wait to return here again and again, but first thing I need to check out of here sadly in a few short hours. Computer system obviously had a glitch! I stayed at this hotel the last night of my vacation. I used my AE credit card to check in without incident. I then ordered a drink and a meal at the bar. I produced another credit card for payment. I was told there was a problem with my card and I/they needed to call before the payment was authorized. The bartender asked for another card. I shrugged my shoulders and handed her the card used for check-in. Again, I was told there was a problem with THAT card as well. Okay, so now I am pretty much humiliated. I call Amex Ex on speaker phone at the bar. AE had NO record of any charges placed for that amount . Neither did my other cc company for that matter. I know it was not the staff's fault, but it could have been handled better in the presence of others.

My family and I live in San Antonio. we decided to have a STAYCATION . We travel alot and stay at the Hilton everywhere we go.. we are part of the Hilton Horners. This Hilton was nice and staff was amazing. just not sure if they are under staffed because the grounds looked not kept up and pool side was left unattended the time we stayed. (towels and trash). overall Hilton is still a great place to stay. also wish that this one had the free hot breakfast that the others have!!

Great hotel, huge bathrooms. The pools are great. The only thing negative is they have no refrigerators in the room. It gets expensive buying water out of the vending machines. For a family vacation you really need a fridge especially for kids. But clean and very pretty hotel.

The hotel was very nice looking and the staff were very nice and attentive. We did run into issues with a running toilet and a bad A/C unit in our room, but the were able to find us another room. Despite that, it was a nice stay.

Absolutely awful experience and terrible security....

Absolutely awful experience and terrible security. The first night we were there, a stranger entered our room at 5am - the only thing that kept them from getting in while we slept was the door chain we engaged. When reported to the front desk we were promised the manager would be in touch, but zero follow-up except for locking us out of our own room after a long day at SeaWorld.

Of course we no longer trusted the security of this hotel and wanted to lock up our belongings in the safe, which we found was not even attached to anything in the closet. So much for that.

The hotel advertises a shuttle service to SeaWorld, but on the Friday we wanted it the shuttle wasn't starting until noon. What's the point of that?

And finally, there was a rogue access point under the hotel wifi name. If you join attwifi and don't get prompted to log in, don't use it. After being woken up at 5am we also found that my wife's Amazon account had been compromised and used to make unauthorized purchases. This is harder for the hotel to prevent, but when reported to the front desk they could not care less.

Clearly we won't be back, and this experience makes me less likely to trust any Hilton. Too bad too, because the grounds of the hotel are really nice.

We were on the very bottom floor. Noises of people stomping woke me up through the night. The tub was really small. There was a community microwave which they charge you for as well as the WIFI. I don't think we will be returning to this location.

Service is quite good but the hotel itself may need some updates. The bedding had a few stains and the toilet was dirty when checking in. Not many outlets in the room which is a pain in the new digital world we live in.

By far the worst Hilton I have ever stayed at. Bought bed and breakfast with the room, went to the breakfast the following morning and the hostess is telling me she doesn't show that I have payed. She asks for vouchers and they never gave any, really really ruined my morning. Like I said I will not be staying at This particular Hilton ever again. Nor will I be staying at a Hilton when I go travel for work which is quite often.

Nice outside even when you walk in. Once we got to our rooms the sheets were stained and they smelled. Went downstairs to ask the girl for new sheets, she gave them to me not even the complete set and with a bad attitude. This morning me and my kids woke up with bites on our body. First and our last time staying in this nasty hotel not worth it for the price at all.

Check your receipt carefully when you check out. DO NOT LEAVE THE HOTEL WITHOUT CHECKING AN ITEMIZED DETAIL ON YOUR FINAL BILL.

They added almost $100 to the final bill. We charged nothing to the room. Did not overstay and took zero liberties of anything they offered.

I called and was immediately shut down with a there is nothing we can do since it s finalized.

Now I have to challenge with the credit card company.

Be very aware of their practices.

I never leave reviews. This hotel is the biggest rip off and I will never return. They charge 10 dollars for parking when there's 3 cars in the lot. The don't have any prices listed in the store and charged me 16 dollars for a small bottle of sunscreen. Absolutely ridiculous. I received a 30 dollar bill and didn't even know what it was for. I'll never return to this hotel again.

I stay here at least one weekend per month when I'm in town. I keep coming back because the beds are amazing. I have eaten in the restaurant about 4 times now and the food is really not that great. The only reason I continue to eat it is because I don't have to leave. I always have margaritas with my meals and they are very weak on the alcohol content. If you call room service tbey won't answer and it will be awhile before they call you back. The courtyard is really nice and they light fires each night in the fire pits. The pools are nice as well. The staff is always very friendly. I am usually satisfied with my stay here but this time I am disappointed with the cleanliness of my room. There was hair in my bathtub on arrival and the tub stopper was broken so I took it out and laid it on the side of the tub and it pulled out a gob of hair with it. The next day after they cleaned my room it was still on the aide of the tub, hair and all. They didn't even take my dirty washcloths. The desk lamp didn't work and there was something sticky on the counter top by the tv. The phone by the bed was dirty and had obviously had something spilled on it. When the lamp between the beds was shining up on the wall I could see dust stuck all over the wall. I will continue to come back here because the beds are really that comfortable but I do plan to address the cleanliness issues before I leave.

I actually accidentally review Hyatt Hill Country ...

I actually accidentally review Hyatt Hill Country resort here originally by accident. The are very close to each other. The limited time I spent at Hilton I have to say was impressive. This location has little know amenities that are very nice. It has an upscale feel, in my opinion above the Hyatt relatively speaking, and has always been pristine. The security guard with his red and blues flashing right in front of the building is a real detractor and charging to park is BS but "they" (if this is considered in that class) all do it.
