The hotel is very clean and decadent but not over the top. My friends enjoyed the room service though it was, as expected, over priced. The only thing I am disappointed by is my own timeing. The outdoor pool, which waterfalls into and second pool on the lower level, and the hot tub are so tempting dispite this chilly night air. I will have to return during a warmer time of the year to satisfy this temptation. For now, I sit snuggly in my sweater and jeans, on the open patio, warmed by one of the many table to firepits. This location is perfect if you're going to Sea World or if you are looking to excape the city. If you're plans include exploring more of the lively city of San Antonio, this hotel is (in my opinion) too far out, on the edge of the city limits to be considered efficient.

This is a beautiful hotel and it's a great central location for our needs. I love all the landscaping and the outdoor areas. The hotel offers great amenities and fun activities. The room is good, nothing special. My only complaint was finding a very large (alive) roach in our bathroom. However, we called the front desk and they took care of it within minutes!! So I'd say service is definitely good!

I stayed here because it was close to sea world which was my main reason for visiting San Antonio.

Good things:
1) they have a pool for little kids that is about a foot deep at the deepest section. This is walled off from the deeper pool which is much appreciated by a mom of 2 toddlers.
2) i didn't actually go but they show movies every night for the kids outside on the patio where there are fire pits that you can roast marshmallows.
3) they have a free shuttle service that takes you to sea world which is about a mile down the road. It only leaves once an hour on the hour and will pick you up 15 minutes after the hour. Our driver to sea world was Greenwall I believe his name was? He was awesome! He was telling us where to go and even places that had the cheapest gas.

Bad things:
1) parking is $10/night. I've read other reviews about cars getting broken into. If you're going to charge people $10/night to park then I would hope you have better security.
2) breakfast is $20/person for buffet otherwise they can just charge you for specific items. I ordered an omelettte and it was $15. The eggs were slimy and rubbery. Way freaking overpriced. I'm assuming that's how it is with the rest of the food.
3) they have an ice machine but not one for water. You can buy bottled water there for $3. Seriously?

Overall, I would stay here again only for the kids. Otherwise if it was just adults then no.

I booked a 3 night stay here while going to Sea World for a post Christmas fun time with the family. I have stay at every kind of hotel in my time from roach motels to 5 stars. This rates right down among some of the worst. The grounds are clean and hotel itself. This is where it ends. First, sheets were dirty, and asked for more after explaining the problem. They just dropped sheets off. Second, the a/c doesn't even cool down! so it's been hot; luckily it's not the summer! Third, breakfast is not included with the room it's $19 extra for the worst buffet ever!!! I've eaten at Denny's for way better food! I will never stay at a Hilton again!!! Now I have to suck up 2 more nights in this place. I'm also not one to leave bad reviews normally, but this is ridiculous!

We stayed here during hurricane Harvey. We had a family emergency and drove from Indiana to this hotel. We arrived late due to going to the hospital first. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We ordered room service because we were exhausted and the staff was terrific. The food was delicious. I would recommend this hotel to everyone that is looking to stay in the area.

Over all I guess it was a good stay. The hotel was under construction, pools closed, only got 3 towels every day, even though we booked the room for a family of four. Make sure not to bring outside food to their courtyard. We were asked to take our food to the room. You can only eat food in their courtyard that was purchased (way overpriced) at the hotel restaurant. Even though it was already closed when we were trying to peacefully eat our dinner!

Original reservation was for a Single King. Room type was changed to a double queen without notification. Card was captured and authorized during check in, but somehow my reservation was not checked into the system and was allowed to go into no show, had to come down the next day to reauthorize card and re check in. Rooms were ok, just not very pleased with hot reservation was handled.

The event facilities were excellent. The resort provided snacks during our training, which were great. We were able to order lunch and it was prepared and ready for us when we got out for lunch. The food was great.

Close to Sea World, staff is professional and friendly, rooms are clean and well appointed. The restaurant and some amenities are closed due to Covid but the website informed us of it before arriving.

This hotel was recently in refurbished and mostly everything is great. There are some small remnants of the pre-refurbishment like the unfinish closets, but all the areas which you normal look are all very well done. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a nice fitness center on the ground floor near the pool. While small, there are plenty of cardio machines, free weights, and several upper body machines. The location is great as it is nearby restaurant and shopping but far enough away that it is very quiet.

Stay away from this hotel!!!!! My AC didn't work properly the entire time I was there. The toilet barely flushed and got clogged up a couple of times. The problems were reported with no resolution. I told them I was not satisfied when I checked out. When asked what could correct it, I asked about cancelling my room charges. I was told the general manager would follow up with me - do you think I heard anything back from him? Nope. The hotel is bland and dated. The rooms have crappy televisions with power outlets that didn't all work. Stay at the Courtyard by Marriott that's around the corner.

I am VERY unhappy about my stay. The room did not have a working shower and the only other room they said was available was out of order due to not having a working AC. I paid $511 for 2 nights and to choose between no shower or no AC. I will not be staying here again.

On the outside is a nice hotel but once you are in your room it's a different story. First of all we booked a room on line that made it seam it had a separate living room area but it didnt. Payed extra for executive suite but couldn't tell the difference from that and standard room. No refrigerator or microwave so we couldn't store any food. We saw small ants around the counter tops. Couldn't leave nothing out cause come morning ants would be in it. Restroom was outdated. Not up to Hilton standard compare to other Hilton hotels. Pool and movie night was nice for the kids but not worth the money we payed.

So bad, not sure where to begin.

So bad, not sure where to begin.

There was 1 service elevator out of three that was also being used for the public and it was awkward when I had to share it with two cleaners and their oversized carts. Why even let us use that elevator? So dumb.

The rooms were dusty in the nooks and crannys, like detail decor, and it looks like they hadn't been cleaned. The sink had a slow clog and wasn't fixed after calling them and having someone come to the room. This guy was so weird too, just wouldn't stop talking to my wife and held me up like a robber when I came into the room with a temperature laser reader. And he kept the "joke" going for a full minute, 55 seconds longer than it needed to. The toilet wouldn't flush more than 0.1 gallons so anything that was put in there wouldn't flush. No one came to fix this either after asking them to.

Their restaurant is overpriced bar food and their breakfast buffet is way subpar with abysmal waitstaff. I have seen more alive people in the cemetery. They charge $5 for a hot dog outside by the pool and $8 for a hamburger. Completely price gouging. They don't allow outside food or drink either. Oh, they do offer smores packets that make 2 smores... for $5 each.

Their entryway is uneven rocks that make pushing the luggage cart through there so much fun. Their bathrooms are way out of the way from the front desk.

One of the "activities" was playing a Disney movie from a projector on a wall, but the guys that started it just left the previews playing and I had to start the movie when it got to the selection screen.

They charged $15 for internet service that didn't work. The front desk staff is an IT nightmare as they had no clue what the internet was or how it worked.

I could never recommend this place to anyone.... so so so bad

We loved the Hilton resort we stayed there 3 days while they finished building our new home.

Except on our 3rd day there we moved rooms when I finally got to the hotel that night from a long day at work I went to our room and our key did not work, I went back to the front desk and told the young lady at the counter she says " oh I'm sorry you checked out today" I said "No we extended our stay and moved rooms" she says "are you Williams?" I said no we are Vela she says "you are not in room *** you are in room *** I said well all our stuff is in the 1st room you gave us!"

She said "you can go get your things out and move them"
I walk up there again at 10pm pack up a cart full of luggage and move everything to another room, by now it's almost 11pm and I still have yet to settle into my room.
Needless to say I was very upset.
My husband works nights and he was not happy that I had so much trouble getting settled in after a long day.

Other than this incident which was handled very poorly by the girl at the counter I would have given them a 5!

If you are a business traveler to this end of town...

If you are a business traveler to this end of town, stay downtown and try to schedule later. I am sadly locked into 8 am meetings in the boonies at the west end of town. Almost an hour to get someome to fix the desklamp charger station during which time I was afraid ro unpack or order dinner for fear they would end up moving me. Room service is an answering machine until they can get back tp you. But there are pizza flyers under the door. This is mid-tier Disney for Sea World. There are kid's movies om a big screen outside my window. Demanding a late checkout as late as 6 (after meeting) if my company's agency can get me moved.

This morning they missed picking up my in room breakfast card overnight. Worst. Hilton, Ever.

Location was good. Services okay. Linens, subpar. Wifi was advertised and listed as paid. Staff did not say anything about it. We didn't know it was actually free until we were packing our things and saw a piece of paper in one of the drawers. Asked the front desk if they had a luggage cart so we could bring in our things, only got a "deer in the headlights" look. We went all the way back to our car (halfway across the long parking lot) and drove up to the front and unloaded everything and started wheeling it all in, when the bellhop/valet came and asked if we needed a luggage cart. When we got to our room, blankets and towels had spots and stains all over them, with no back-up linens in the closet. Overall, I'd prefer to go to a "lesser hotel" and get a premium room there for the same price I paid here.

Pluses: This place is great for families. Pool area and jacuzzi are great. Negatives: I requested a balcony and got a lower level room, which means I had a sliding door in my room that led directly to the parking lot. It was next to the pool entrance, so doors slammed until midnight. Also, our neighbors had at least 10 people per room and would take their screaming babies out in the hallways throughout the night. We had the breakfast buffet in SunSpot, $40 for an omelette and waffle. Everything else on the buffet was gone or cold and hard. Overall, if you're looking for rest and relaxation this Hilton is NOT IT AT ALL.

This was our 2nd visit to this location. The room is okay - would really love the convenience of a refrigerator. We really love the amenities - pools are nice (especially great for kids) and the patio area is great and beautiful. We enjoyed playing giant jenga and sitting by the camp fire to make s'mores. Only complaints from this visit: no towels at the pool, ice machine didn't work on 2 floors.

John FRONT DESK AGENT lie to me saying there were no rooms available to upgrade me as a Gold Hilton Honors Member when I was looking at the availability from my phone. Upon arrival at the hotel I had to wait in line behind a guest that was very unhappy talking to the front desk agent for 10 minutes. When it was finally my turn it was a slow checkin process and the agent did not seem qualified. At this point we return to our room to find the hot water was not working. We made the complaint before leaving for dinner and come back to a room with still, no hot water. The next day breakfast was cold, there was not enough food, looked old as if it had been sitting out. The server did not come by our table and when I asked her for something she responded with I am busy. Finally, checking out I see that they did in fact charge me for the complimentary upgrade. HORRIBLE STAY AWFUL STAFF

Stayed for about week during the pandemic. Staff for the most part were professional and helpful(4/5). Facilities were clean and in good condition(4/5)The availability of hand sanitizer throughout the hotel was nice. The AC in the fitness center wasn t working with a temperature of 95 degrees inside(1/5). I found it totally unacceptable that breakfast wasn t being served considering restaurants and food services are indeed open nation wide(0/5). Not even complimentary coffee in the morning(-5/5). fridge and safe in the room (5/5).

Love this hotel, from the time we arrived we were treated like family. The young lady at the desk, Daniella, was super friendly and had a world class smile. Her cohort Megan was just as friendly and very helpful. The next morning., we went down for the tram to Sea World and the driver Primo was most gracious..it is great to listen to his New York humour with a Texas friendly attitude. You definitely have a staff that are tops in the industry. Thank you for a wonderful stay in San Antonio.

On the noisiest night of the year, I didn't hear a thing in our room. Win, win, win. Very quiet even with the New Years Eve Party going on below. Denise and Aubrey, at the front desk, were the most competent, friendly and helpful customer care representatives I've ever met in all my 50 years. They seriously make that Hotel look good. Beds were comfortable, room was beautiful. Pet friendly with no hassles at all. I will go out of my way to stay at this hotel again.

I had a wonderful customer service encounter with Ernest. When I called and asked if I could arrange something special for my daughter's Birthday because she was there for a work event, he told me no problem and arranged to give her and upgrade on her room and a nice surprise of a balloons, cake and a signed card. She was very impressed with her surprise. The rooms look beautiful and the staff is the best.
