There are some good and bad here.

There are some good and bad here.
Let s talk about the good- the rooms are clean and the staff has been friendly. This hotel is conveniently located less than a mile from SeaWorld and has a free shuttle to the park and back.
The gyms is very nice.
The bad- everything costs you extra! Extra for things that are free at other hotels, such as- WiFi- extra $$. Breakfast- extra $$.
The pool is not clean. They have such a nice outdoor area, but the pool water was cloudy in all sections.
It was also disappointing that we could not use any of the tables or games that were outdoors because a cooperation had reserved them.
Let s talk about the restaurant inside the Hilton- we went down on our first night and the staff was really friendly- but not very attentive. We ordered food, our street tacos came out cold, but the pizza was awesome and they have a special on pizza for the first 3 days of the week, so it was $12 for a 16 inch one topping and it was very good. However, we all needed refills before our food came out and never got them and our waitress even asked my husband if he wanted another beer and he said yes he would like one, but she never came back with refills or a beer. The next time we saw her she brought the check and wished us a good night.
We also asked for soap once (we stayed for several days) and asked if there were plates and silverware and were told to come get them .
It s been an okay stay, but I m not sure we d stay again. For an upscale place with an upscale price- we haven t really gotten upscale service.
I had originally given more stars to this place, but on the last night of our stay, there were guests who were blaring music, yelling, screaming, and cussing at each other for several hours into the morning- They woke ever member of my family up. I could hear every word being screamed to each other and I have a young child- as I m sure many people do at this hotel due to the proximity of Seaworld. We called to report this to the front desk and they said thank you and they would take care of it. Whether or not they did, I don t know because they never actually stopped yelling or blaring their music. Since this continued- we decided to just go ahead and leave for home.
When checking out no one even asked how the stay was.

This is probably the best Hilton hotel I have stayed in to date. The hotel was renovated and the rooms are really nice. I had a room with the balcony and view of the courtyard as it was nice to sit out there for the evening. The courtyard has fire pits, 3 pools, corn hole boards and other games to hang out and play for free. Each night they showed a kids movie on the wall starting around 8:30/9pm, which my kid loved. Plus it is only a 5 min drive (or less) to Sea World as it is right down the street.

The only negative is the hotel rooms do not have USB ports, so if you forget your phone's wall charger (which I did), expect to buy one or sit in the lobby to charge your phone as the tables do have USB ports. Wish they put those into the rooms. Otherwise I will stay here again for future visits to San Antonio.

Dirty pool- on the edge between the hot tub and the pool was slimy debris floating on the water, hotel was out of menu items on the buffet and for room service, over charges on my bill at checkout...some of the food was delicious and other items were borderline adequate- possibly vastly different degrees of chefs at different times, same with the staff- some really wonderful friendly and others on the verge of rude, tubs don't drain unless you jerry rig them, several lightbulbs out in the room, tv channels out, but rooms were very clean and comfortable and you can't beat the location for a seaworld visit.

I was visiting San Antonio for work and stayed at this hotel due to the proximity to the office. I am a Hilton Rewards member so was excited to be able to stay in a Hilton and take advantage of some of the specials. Overall the price was good, better than the options nearby. However I will say that I was disappointed at the lack of amenities and facilities onsite. I couldn't find any information prior to booking of specifics so just counted on the fact that it was a Hilton to have what I was looking for.
There was a bar and breakfast area onsite however it was pretty small with limited options. Additionally the gym was tiny with limited equipment and looked very outdated.
There was construction going on and impacted my floor, so I understand the dust in the hallway, however I would have expected my room to be clean. I found a lot of dust throughout the room and the bathroom was a little unclean in the shower area.
My biggest complaint is the wifi not working very well. I was constantly booted off the wifi connection and when I was on it it was extremely slow. It made working from the hotel almost impossible.
I will say that everyone was extremely nice and accommodating however. The staff was all fantastic.

We stayed there because we were in town for a funeral. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was beautiful. Our room was very clean and quiet. We hope to go back to stay when we can enjoy it under better circumstances.

This place is horrible. First I get there & the suit we asked for air wasn't working. So we had to get a smaller room. She gave us a lower price & said we can move to the suit the next night. But while stAying my first night the air is barely working, the smoke detector is missing, no ice on my floor, soda machine doesn't take cash & im sick of looking at pets.

They charge $10 parking plus a $50 deposit that was not listed on their AAA listing. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were not. The walls must be thin because it was noisy. I had to make the AC fan stay on to drown out the noise. I expect more from a Hilton.

Update regarding the deposit...it was returned the very next day before I even checked out, so it really makes no sense at all.

I booked thru trip advisor for two queen size double bed with balcony. When I went there they took my credit card then front desk lady went to manager and came back then she gave me room. When I went to the room there is no balcony. I went back and said this is not what I booked for then lady went to manager then manager came back said we are sorry all our rooms with balcony were sold out. I told them I booked it earlier and how come I have different room. Then manager JOHN G apologize and gave me $50 voucher for dinner. I didn't get any kind of sorry or anything from the ladies at the front desk. Next day when I went to check out they gave me ridiculous price around 370$. I booked for 204$. Morning lady was so nice and helpful. She explained it to me. I showed her my booking receipt and there goes another waste of time. Then she transferred me to another guy I believe his name is jimmy. He helped me to settle my bill. So I lost my morning show at sea world. Finally he gave me another 100$ off my final price so it came out to be 108$. When I came home and checked my bill they charged me 158. Still 50$ less than what I booked. Manager jimmy said never book if from third party always go straight to their website and book it. Those who book from their website gets first priority then the third party. The only reason why I gave two star because of those two morning guys. I forgot her name but guys name is Jimmy I believe. Room has no microwave or fridge but it was okay stay as far as their billing headache.

This is the 4th time I ve stayed at this hotel this year. I come to San Antonio once a month for work, and I used to stay at the Hilton Palacio del Rio downtown, but this hotel was highly rated and better priced. The first 2 times were fine- no issues and the staff is absolutely outstanding. The 3rd time, there was a HUGE cockroach on the wall of my room. At 11pm. While I m in bed working on my laptop. I called down to the front desk (the phone wasn t working, so I had to pull up the number on my cell and go through the menu options) and the staff member was SO polite and very apologetic- they got me moved to another room right away. This 4th time, I thought I d give it another shot, since it has always been great before. I asked for a room with a whirlpool tub, and was graciously accommodated. I got to the room, unpacked, and went to take a bath. The button for the jets was gone- like it had been ripped off. Called the front desk (again, the phone in this room didn t work, so I had to use my cell and go through the menu options), Jacob was incredibly polite and apologetic, for me switched to another room and told me my key would be ready right away. I take my suitcase to the new room, and encountered the SAME ISSUE with the jet button on the tub. I called back to the front desk and asked to stay in the original room- I didn t want to move anymore stuff, didn t want to go downstairs again, and the original room at least had a nice balcony. I thought about still taking a bath, just with no jets, but upon getting in, noticed that, where the jet button is missing, there is filth and grime and mold. I immediately jumped out of the tub, disgusted, and went to use the shower. Since the door to the shower does not close all the way, the bathroom floor floods with water.
I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member. I stay in a Hilton hotel, for at least 2 nights, every single week for work. I have NEVER experienced anything like this. For a 4-Star hotel, this place is run-down, dirty and unkempt. The courtyard is lovely, and again, the front staff is exceptional. But I will never be staying here again. I ve already booked my September work trip to San Antonio, and I m staying at the Marriott downtown.

Not terrible.. But no where above average. Check in took forever. And the fact that they give you a parking slip at check in and want you to put it on your dash after you check in is super inconvenient. I think we will pass on Hilton from now on. 2nd mediocre experience in as many months.

First time I booked, i get a call before checkin telling me they were sold out and had no room for me. Waste of time. The staff seems very clueless and weren't helpful.

Two weeks later, I book a stay, and I got a different room than what I requested on the app, but told to take it or get out. Worst treatment of diamond honors member I've ever experienced.

Rooms are ok and seem recently remodeled and the venue is clean, however service is complete garbage.

We had our work Holiday Party here this past weekend.

Staff were awesome and professional. One of the smaller bars was "cash-only" which left that bar empty all night and the other small bar packed. When we went around the corner to the main bar to order a round of shots (crown for the guys and lemon drops for the girls) it was the WORST lemon drop I've had in my entire life. I barely got it down. It was all sour mix. This meant we were stuck going to the one smaller bar lgreat service from her) for the remainder of our night.

The food was delicious. We had hors d'oeuvres: balsamic-glazed asparagus spears with prosciutto and the Teriyaki steak were the only two I got to try out of 4 options. The other 2 just never made it past the first few feet after they left the kitchen. We also had pasta stations for dinner. While the pasta was yummy and it was great customizing your own fresh-cooked dish - it took FOREVER for everyone to be fed. They ended up having to keep the stations open an extra half hour to get everyone through the lines.

Overall, the venue is nice and decor didn't seem dated. Definitely some training issues with drinks at the bar and some flow issues with food. But the hotel did a great job with our Party.

Incredible customer service, especially by the front desk staff and the banquet staff. The hotel is also very pretty, and did a good job of making our large group feel at home. There were some inconveniences with rooms, which is why it gets a 4/5, but the staff dud try to respond as fast as possible to our issues.

There's plenty of room for the events being held for GamExpo. It was uncomfortably warm in the room with all the windows to the garden. Otherwise, the facilities were clean and always well stocked, including cold water dispensers that were replaced regularly.

Stayed here for close access to SeaWorld. Booked balcony view of courtyard. Got put in "Garden VIew" which was the basement level and our view was a dumpster. The place is undergoing renovations and there was spackle and stains all over the floor. There was a used shower cap on our bathroom floor. The sheet had blood on it. The TV had a red line through it and kept shutting off. There was no lights, microwave, or refrigerator in the room. The sink was stained and there were hairs all over one pillow. Planned on sleeping in but was awoken by a loud bang in the dumpster. The industrial sized washer machine ran next door all night long making noise. On the bright side, the staff is really nice and Primo is awesome.

From the looks of it outside, as well as online photos, I imagined a great hotel stay. However, this was NOT the case. Upon checking in, the man at the front desk was AWFUL!!! I prepaid for 4 days via Priceline, reserved for 2 queen bed room. We drove 14 hours to get here, and it was 630am when we arrived (mind you, I did pay for the full night, so only using part of it); as I went to check in, the man (definitely no gentleman) told me we didn't make check-in (never realized there is a set time, site only says you can start at 4pm), and so our room was given away ("first come first serve" policy is what he said, verbatim). He told me all they had is a king room, but I could come back at 4pm to check in and SEE if they would have the room I ALREADY PAID FOR AND RESERVED available. No apologies at all from him, uncaring attitude, and devoid of any positive expression. I told him we just needed to get to our room and lay down, and would temporarily take what was available (again, was 630am, drove all night, kids in tow were exhausted, the start of our family vacation). He had the nerve to say that this would be impractical, as housekeeping would have to then clean my room, as well as the room we had reserved, just so we could get what we had already ordered and PAID FOR!!! I firmly told him that is what would happen, and he finally said he would get us the king bed, and could check back at 4pm to see if we could change rooms. Then he said we would have to put down a $90 pre-charge on a card for any "incidentals." I attempted to do so, with several different cards, as all were declined ($$$ in all accounts, which I told him). He told me since I'm out of my home state, it wasnt working, chastising me for not calling my bank to tell them of this before leaving (had been using it for gas along the way, no problem, and other vacations out of state, too, for that matter).

I was becoming irritable by this point, and my husband walked up to see what was taking so long, and later asked why the man was being so rude to me (without telling him the rest of what had already happened). Husband tried his card, same thing; we both called our bank, and said we were fine, and no attempted charges had even been attempted. We returned to the desk, and told the man this (not once did he seem to think the card reader or system could be the issue). He didn't respond, and began moving from computer to computer (still no room keys presented to us, had been at this for about 30 minutes by then). Finally set key cards on counter and said we could go up and would have to try later on bank card, as system seemed to be having issues (around 3pm, I called front desk, and told system was down, and could try back later in the evening to switch rooms--we got back at 1030pm, and still the system was down). It appears we will be in the same room the next 2 nights, all because they unapologetically gave up out room ( and blamed me for it, of all things).

The takeaway from this: customer service is AWFUL (I actually teach this as part of my job, so I do know a thing or two about how it should be properly done). We will not return here should we return to the city. Management need not respond with the same "I'm sorry, this is not our way, but so glad you found positive things about your vacation" (I have gone through other reviews, and seems to be the case when anything negative is presented). Spend some time FIXING the problems, instead (other things to note: still no room fridges, pools are dirty (I came out with a dead Japanese beetle hanging off my back, leaves in my hair--others visibly floating in the pool, too), your single women's pool restroom STILL doesnt shut/lock--complaint mentioned 10 months ago by another customer, and internet has been down thus far). I will be closely checking my receipt at the end of this, and arguing any mistakes. AVOID STAYING HERE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A NICE HOTEL!!!

I am not one to complain...actually this is my second time in 40 years! really I am not. but....I will never stay here again...We are actually Hilton Honors and we issued our rewards points for this stay and we had a suite facing a front balcony wall. No view!!! a wall view!

The fitness room was dirty and half the equipment did not work...then I had a so called spa day with lockers that didn't work...then the steam room was broken. The sauna was off and on. Shoes, Robes and people's used band-aids were on the floor. Just dirty. I was even over charged. The pool area had leaves all over the chairs, pool and area. Not clean...

RESORT!!! Really...no outside waitress. nothing. Pretty upsetting! I filed a complaint with the Manager, Spa Manager and Hilton Honors... No return calls to follow up. Horrible Management....My husband spends over $2000 a week traveling with the Hilton for work. Time to change!

Good but getting a bit tired. Thanks to the marble everywhere it has manages to keep well bit the same can't be said about the paint and other trim throughout. The property is nice with great pools, all be it filled with screaming kids.. Even the one that I would think was set aside for adults.. Certainly not on fathers day in 100 degree heat. Good for an overnighter for road warriors with free internet that was fast enough to stream video without interruptions.

Overall, it was a positive experience. The room, an executive suite directly across from the executive lounge, was comfortable, tastefully decorated, and possessed a well contrived restroom. The attendant, in the executive lounge was very helpful and polite, as was the morning doorman. In fact, I observed the doorman cleaning the parking lot during a lull in guest activity, which shows refreshing professionalism and pride.
The night representative at the desk was not so professional, however. Upon check-in, he forgot to give me my executive lounge access card, which was delivered to my room upon arrival of the day shift workers. He also whined that he was the "only person in the front", when I called guest services for extra linen, and made it obvious, though not explicit, that he wished me to go fetch my own linen and leave him to his desk. I am not lazy, and have no problem taking care of myself in every facet, but if I am paying for an executive suite in a five star hotel, I do not expect to have to commandeer a luggage trolley and go hunting through storage closets for linen. That is not acceptable. Also, the maids refused to through away takeout bags which I left by the door in an orderly stack for them. As I left, after three days, the garbage still sat where I left it, by the door.

It was good last time, so we returned. BIG MISTAKE. Mariana was really awful as part of the management. She destroyed our vacation experience this year.In Room# 443, tiny refrigerator was wabbling like it was going to tip over and fall forward. There was jacuzzi in the bathroom that did not function... I did not bother to report it because Jacuzzi in the pool area was not working and I reported it to them. The lady said she would find out and nobody did anything about it the whole time we were there. The worst vacation we ever had.

I have never been so disappointed in a hotel. I took my family for our first family vacation in 3 years to this hotel to enjoy Spring Break, Seaworld and had high expectations due to the brand being a Hilton. I arrived to unexpected construction. I actually get that this sometimes happens, so that was not the deal breaker. After a long day at Seaworld, my family and I arrived back to our hotel room. After my daughter used the restroom in our room, we noticed that there was something wrong with the toilet. We ended up calling the front desk, and they said they would send someone up in the 10 minutes. After 30 minutes again, they let us know it would be 10 more minutes. After 1 hour, they sent someone up, and to our shock, we noticed that the flooring of the entire room was soaked in water. We asked if there was another room or a neighboring hotel in which they told us "no." They had no solutions for us, and the hotel room was not a livable situation for our kids. We ultimately had to drive back to Austin at 10:30 p.m. at night. The manager on duty said she would comp our stay. When arriving back, I called Expedia to make sure that we got the credit. They said they did not get any info from the hotel and could not reach the hotel manager. It has now been over a week and no one has followed up from the hotel or Expedia. It is extremely disappointing that the hotel has no repercussions, did not live up to the word, and ultimately would never go back to this hotel or use Expedia again based on the experience. I did not want to write a review until I was able to see if Expedia resolved the problem with the hotel, but at this point, it has been a week and wanted to warn everyone to stay away from this hotel.

Not what you expect from a "Resort" Our room never got cool even though the air conditioner ran 24/7 the whole time we were there. They have these great fire pits outside, and they will let people make s'mores and roast marshmallows over the fire, but they will not let you roast a hot dog over the fire. What is any more "camping" then roasting hot dogs over an open fire and with your family? I think they could be quite a bit more family friendly and more reasonably priced on their meals and drinks.

Stayed here in the end of May. I booked the executive level room. I was looking forward to the perks of the executive lounge, the little things. I checked in and we received our breakfast vouchers. I asked about where the executive lounge was located now because it wasn't on the 5th floor. She said I didn't have access for that but only the meal vouchers. So I felt cheated a bit from not being able to have access. Now the lounge is located past the breakfast area, which doesn't make sense. It takes away the exclusiveness of the lounge that of course I didnt get to exoericence. The pools were nice for the kids and the smores as well the kids enjoyed. I would stay again but in a regular room, the executive rooms were not that special.
