Great room and service, close to all the parks in the area
Amazingly well kept up. Does not show its age. Wonderful common areas with theater, multiple pools hot tubs, pool table, fire tables. Rooms are maintained very well. Elevators are slow.
Been coming to this resort every few years for the last 15-20 years, and it only has gotten better with time. Staff is great, pool is great, activities for the kids, also great.
I look forward to our next stay.
Great Job to all the staff at Hilton Grand Vacations at SeaWorld.
Room was very small, bathroom impossible to get in and out...poorly designed. Not the place to stay if going to Orlando. Housekeeping and maintenance lacking.
Room was pretty decent, however, it is one of these Hotels where there is 8-9 buildings where it is more of a Motel than a Hotel. Expect a few hundred yard walk back and forth to the main hotel for any needs. They mentioned that they provide golf-cart like shuttles to the outreached rooms, however, we found it was unlikely they would show once the request was made as there is only one person working to support all the people for this 700+ room hotel.
Concierge service was minimal. For instance, if you want to purchase Sea World tickets (at full Price - No discounted Sea World tickets at this Sea World location Hotel), you MUST first talk to their time share representative to try to get you to look at a time share. After you tell them you are not interested, they will then let you purchase the tickets that you were requesting. And going to Sea world, they have three morning times to take you this relatively short distance (roughly a mile). Disappointing for a hotel that states itself as having shuttles to Sea World, and defines its location at Sea World.
It took 30 minutes each time we needed hot water to shower, wash, and do dishes. No supervision by adults at the pools, young teens were out of control and endangering little kids. Everything cost too much and wasn t worth. Constant pressure to purchase share. Not worth it.
Had a wonderful stay here for my birthday. Accomodations are nice, grounds are well kept and convenient location. Will definitely stay here again
Very fun!!! Just wish they had .ore free activities for children I their activity room.
We love it here! We stay here whenever we are I Orlando which is often!
We love coming here. It is relaxing and the service is perfect. Our kids enjoy the pools and games.
Very good apartment hotel. Friendly staff. Free parking and a fantastic pool area with playground, ping-pong table, pool table, bar, children's pool, heated pool and regular pool. Activities for the children and screenings twice a day. Tennis court, street basketball and a secluded pool. Well maintained place by the way.
Great facilities. Location is good for SeaWorld but not for Disney
We are going back in Sept. Worth every penny. Spotless clean and friendly.
Pros: Location, discounts at SeaWorld, constant entertainment, including poolside and on-site movie screening every night. Also, the on-site DVD Now rental service kept us busy every night in our rooms.
Cons: Distractingly noisy, horrendous Wi-Fi, excessively dirty pools. Compares unfavorably to other resorts I've stayed at in the area, including other Hilton Grand Vacation resorts nearby.
The hotel is beautiful, huge!!! If you are going for a week, it has pretty much everything you need on the premises. Didnt bring the kids this time, but will next time. They have hot tubs everywhere, pools, a movie theater, great food. The rooms are amazing. I could go on, but you get the idea.
Rooms aren't cleaned properly daily and the bed mattress is a horrible quality and very uncomfortable. It's definitely a bad quality hotel.
Everything was great! Customer service was the best ever. Room service was great. They have a million things to do with your family and we made a great attempt to do it all. From playing pool by the pool, playing ping pong, shuffle board, swimming, checking out cards which we played at the restaurant located between the 2 pools, checking out movies and more. It's beautiful and the staff is so helpful and nice. They really go all out for you.
First, the location of this resort is decent, walking distance to sea world, with a bus that will take you at certain times if you don't want to walk. A car is a necessity to get anywhere else. We had a 2 bedroom, which provided plenty of room for our family of 4. The pool area is nice with 2 pools one with a waterfall, but a bit on the chilly side. The lake is pretty neat with the ability to see some wildlife, (a gator, large turtles, and birds.). Our bed was quite comfy.
Now the reason for 3 stars...
Upon check in, we waited in line for nearly an hour, which I figured out why once I got to the desk to check in... once your checked in, (if your room is ready) they send you to another line to wait in to speak to someone to get your "parking pass" and purchase discount tickets to any parks you plan to visit. The discount was decent, about 1/2 price... only to be told to get the discount you have to attend a presentation with a breakfast included. So we agreed to do it first thing the next morning so we had the rest of our vacation to do as we pleased. 7:45 next morning we hopped on a shuttle and arrived at the other resort for our "presentation ", and free "breakfast", which consisted of bagels, and juice or soda. Once the representative came to get us, we spent the next 90 minutes in misery. The salesman was nice and informative at first, but once we told him we weren't interested in financing $48,000 on one of their credit cards at 17% interest with $5,000 down and $2500 closing cost, he got a bit nasty... he asked if we trusted Hilton... Seriously, no... and then he asked my husband if he trusted him.. my husband said I don't know you to trust you.. the salesmans response was.. " is that why your burning a hole in my head with your eyes".... maybe he just didn't like someone looking him in the eye when they spoke to him, literally the most uncomfortable experience I have ever been through... ruined any good thoughts we had of this company!!
Next... the water smelled like sewage, so every time we showered, we smelled terrible, and so did the condo.
The onsite restaurant and deli is nice, pricey, but that's expected, and everything has to be charged to your room because their system was down and we were told on our last day by one of the servers that it's been down for 6 weeks!!
Staff was friendly, rooms were nice, definitely worth a visit.
Nice friendly staff. Cockroaches abound in room. Rate less than any Embassy Suites.
Nice rate. Rooms are sweet. Pool is awesome. Party by the pool for kids was fantastic...
Love the place. Room (1br) was great. Lots of room . Great staff and good food at the reef bar and grill by the pools.
Jimmy's attention in The front desk, The excellent market.
Standard Hilton quality: clean, well maintained timeshare suites; friendly staff.
Parking is usually a problem in the evening; have to drive to other building parking lots (the property is organized into numerous buildings).
We used timeshare points for the hotel so we don't know how much the rooms are normally. The rooms were nice and clean. Housekeeping only cleans after a certain number of days booked. They said that the rooms itself don't have a view of seaworld, but if you walk out of your room and head to the elevator you can see the park. Parking after you get back from parks can be very tough. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. There are 3 pools, hot tubs, kiddie area. The lake is a nice place to walk around. We only had a few minor problems with the hotel but we enjoyed the stay.
Wonderful weekend getaway. Our go to place for a weekend getaway. Love this place. The ine bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for a third person on the pull out couch. They are very customer service oriented and go out of the way to make you feel comfortable.
Very well kept property. We visited soon after Irma came through, and despite the ongoing roof repair, we heard nothing. Plenty of things to do on a rainy day if you had plans elsewhere, and the many pools are gorgeous and well maintained. The room we stayed in was spacious and service was thorough and unobtrusive.
So far our stay has been wonderful!
The first day trying to check in our toddler lost her cool after traveling for hours from a different state and the staff was just phenomenal getting balloons for her to become easily amused and entertained while we finished up the arrival strong!
Place was clean and very homey and a tone of activities are available on site the resort!
No room service since 3 day stay. I would not recommend the 90 min buy our hotel. Was over 2.5 hours. Other than that great place
All I can say is thank goodness I'm not an owner. I can't imagine having shelled out tens of thousands for a timeshare only to show up to overflowing parking lots, long check-in queues, and shabby rooms. The front desk didn't seem to care about our dissatisfaction, so we left after just one night and checked into the Embassy Suites nearby instead.
Carol and Hope front desk reps made my frustrated afternoon into an enjoyable relaxing evening after proving a suggestion that made my evening very relaxing experience; which I was hoping for. On the other hand, housekeeping was disgusting. The bed were half made the sheets weren't made completely with so many stains on sheet, the musky smell from carpet. Slept with sliding door. Finally, tube corner had mildew. For the one night price. Absolutely wasn't worth it. I don't like surveys because my intentions isn't to get someone/department reprimanded for my feedback. Pricing should really reflect the quality of presented.
The resort itself is quite nice, with 10 or so buildings with rooms, 3 pools and 5 hottubs. It isn't really within walking distance of a whole lot of though. The rooms are also very nice, with the room I stayed in being a master suite and a room with 2 beds, living room, full kitchen and living space. With regards to service, checking in took a bit longer than expected as our room wasn't ready until 6 or so, when check in is normally at 3. This was really upsetting but they gave us $75 to spend at the bar & grill while we waited. After that however, the service has been great!
This place was amazing and just and amazing experience!
Really nice great for family fun multiple pools hot tubs
We loved this hotel so much. The views from our balcony were amazing and the staff were out of this world. Every single person on staff always had a smile and a wave for guests and my child loved the golf cart that would take us from our building to the main building. the movie by the pool was so fun! dive in movie! we plan on staying again as soon as we can. Everything was really clean and neat as well. most comfortable beds ever!
We only stayed here for one night because we had just returned from a cruise. Our room wasn't ready when we got there, but they let us use a studio room so we could change into our bathing suits. They were very accommodating and friendly. This place is beautiful! The pools are great, our room was very nice, there is plenty of room and appeared to have a lot of activities for kids. We would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful area and easy access. I love the room. Its all fantastic so far, but haven't spent much time in the room since I've been visiting Disney. I am loving what I'm seeing so far though!!!
Great staff. Lots of activities. We had a great time!
Beautiful place. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Room was very nice and very clean.
Very nice atmosphere. The staff is attentive. Good rooms we ask with a view of the pool. Everything very clean.
Absolutely although it is very limited, it is a fabulous resort and I highly recommend.
Beautiful resort with several pools and a hot tub. Room was really nice with a screened in balcony.
This club is not like it used to be. Really, it spoiled my vacation and I had to check out a day before. Imagine that we have small children. Initially, we were there for 4 days. I reached the point that I could not take it anymore. The place was dirty. Notified housekeeper several times, nothing really was done about, the oven, bathrooms, the floor were dirty. How did I know? My 3-year-old was walking barefoot and when he climbed on the bed, his feet were very dirty. When I was getting ready to prepare our breakfast, the oven was dirty, not only I took a picture, I happened to see one of the supervisors, showed it to her, and she apologized. First of all, we arrived at 1030pm vs 4 pm the club had enough time to clean the place. Though we were gone the whole time to accommodate the time and space to clean, nothing was done and I have pictures to prove it. I felt like our health was compromised and what the club promised to deliver to us, failed to do so. We will never go back. In fact, we are thinking about selling our share. Thank you.
I'm in town for a conference and stayed here as it's close to the convention center. The room is amazing for the price I'm paying ($130 / night) I would recommend staying in these two bedroom locations. Each seperate bedroom with a very large living area has its own bathroom with shower. The "master" bedroom even has a very large jacuzzi tub, double sink bathroom counter, with an additional sink vanity. Full kitchen with plates, utensils, etc, large kitchen table. My night was peaceful, no noises late at night. Each bedroom also has its own outdoor patio. This location, as I saw on the TV motel channel, has lots of kids and family activities all throughout the day and, it's just a quick hop to Seaworld. (Like 3 blocks from the main entrance)
Our unit was recently renevated and was quite nice. If you are going Disney world or Disney Springs this is a good location besides just for SeaWorld. Our unit has a kitchen so if you are resourceful and like to cook or enjoy an evening with friends, it is nice.
Very nice hotel, beautiful and nice. We recommend it to everyone.
This was probably the worst hotel experience of my life. Spouse booked several rooms for a family vacation; we have had to change rooms multiple times in some cases due to overbooking and errors on the hotels part and and other times due to being given dirty and foul smelling rooms. At this point we've spent almost an entire day of a four day trip trying to rectify the situation. Everyone we've spoken to has been very nice but infuriating in that they have been giving us inconsistent and unhelpful answers and seen unable to resolve any of the myriad issues in less a couple of hours.
Really great theme park. Lots more rides than when I was a kid. A whole section for little kids too
Nice hotel but beware, they will try to sell you a timeshare. There are a lot of hidden fees that makes it to expensive.
The hotel is wonderful. Great scenery, really nice rooms, screened balcony, huge bath tub with jets..the staff is very friendly also. Wonderful experience!
The location couldn't be better - walking distance to SeaWorld and Discovery Cove, as well as a 7-11 (if you need Diet Mt Dew). Our 4 family group of 22 stayed in 3 spacious units, 2x3 bedroom and 1x2 bedroom, around a planned cruise vacation. Pool off the main lobby was nice but cool - lot of areas for all ages to enjoy. Having a washer/dryer in the rooms (2-3 laundry soap packets were provided) was a nice amenity, however, the machines were SUPER loud when operating, even with the laundry door closed. The part that makes this a 2-star for our family was the service - upon our return from our cruise (4 days away from the resort), we found that all our food/milk/groceries had been removed from the fridge and had thus spoiled. Instead of our planned meals, members of our group lost vacation fun time hassling with multiple phone calls with management that didn't take responsibility and we ended up with a $100 drink credit, replenished groceries, and balloons for the kids. This was a late fix, as we were scheduled to leave the next day.
Great place for a vacation, located near sea world and other touristy type places
The room was really nice, like a small house. I really liked our screened-in balcony. The beds and couches were very comfortable, everything was great. I also like how the key cards are proximity sensitive, so you don't have to swipe like a credit card to get in your room, just wave the card by the sensor.
Great place, amazing pools and hot tubs, and very clean!!! Would come back again.
Great stay. Comfortable bed. SeaWorld is across the street.
The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly. The kids loved the pools. The hotel had plenty of activities and you could purchase passes for local attractions. The one thing that was bothersome was the people selling the vacation club didn't stop after the first through sixth no. Other than that, I will be back.
Very nice resort with clean and comfortable rooms, lotsa of activities, 3 large pools w/ plenty of seating and centrally located to many attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful too. Enjoyed our stay.
I went to Disney every day of my visit so I didn't take advantage of the offerings of the hotel, but they have fun activities every day, have nice pools, pool tables, you can rent DVDs etc so there is a lot to do! There is also a restaurant, plus a little shop for any random little things you might need. There are shuttles to Disney, Universal etc but you have to pay which is less than ideal. Uber was comparable and way more convenient.
Nothing like buying most expensive room. Go on a long day comeback to get in hot tub and get green water. Get told reimbursed $200 for inconvenience, and get home 2 days later and told corporate won't approve funds. My whole expenses to the parks were supposed to be done. I bought the package for all the extra stuff at the parks. Only to find, while the price is the same, but hotel package of the upgrades are only half upgrades. That you still purchase the upgrade and out the money for "half upgrades" some stuff I paid for wasn't even offered. I upgraded for a guided tour for sea turtle rescuse. It says upon reservation (after I already paid). I tried to call a head and reserve and was told that only in person reservations. When I get to the hotel and make reservations. There were none available at ANY of the time we were there! Awful experience!
I wish I could do no stars!!!! But I can t so here is my story. CUSTOMER BEWARE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY THIS PLACE HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!! TERRIBLE MILDEW SMELL
Well when we got there the gate guy was nice but didn t let us know that the driver for the shuttle would be very upset with us for not parking under the Portica Shea the way he wanted us to. But we thought ok not good customer service but the room will make up for it oh boy where we wrong!!! As we walked up to the room we noticed a bunch of tools and paintbrushes sitting outside the door in the hall way. As we entered the room we where slammed with a terrible mold mildew smell and let me tell you it was bad!!! It got better the further away from the entrance that we got but After about 3 minutes my wife and I both got headaches so we didn t even set the bags down we walked straight to the desk. We were greeted extremely nice and figured that they could have us taken care of in no time boy were we wrong again original lady that helped us let us know that there was a work order on that room and that she could try to send housekeeping up to take care of it after we let her know that there was no way that housekeeping could make that smell go away and that there was no way we were staying in that room she brought her supervisor in The supervisors name was Anthony he sounded like he wanted to help us as well at first after awhile of clicking around on the computer he told us in conversation that he was not aware of any issues with the room and didn t know why we thought that there was ,when we told him that The lady that helped us before let us know that there was a standing work order on the room and then we saw the tools outside the door he just kind of stop talking about it as I read some of the other yelp reviews I noticed that there was another guy who was complaining about the mildew smell as well so either there are multiple rooms have this issue or this man was in the same room that we were in. So after Anthony decided he wasn t gonna talk about the nasty mildew spell anymore in the room he let us know that the only room he had available was a handicap accessible room that did not have a garden tub or any of the amenities that we had paid for but that he would try to get us into another room the next day we thought that was a great compromise if only he would take off one of the nights that we paid for since it wasn t the room that we booked and that we would have to move everything the following day. That s when Anthony decided not to be helpful anymore he let us know that he would rather give us our money back then to compensate in anyway and that s exactly what he did nothing and let us know that all the money that we paid for the room and the hundred dollar accidental that was just ran on the credit card would not be credited back for a week or so and that s all he could do for us!!! So we left at 11 o clock at night and had to find another hotel!
SO ONCE AGAIN DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS PLACE IT HAS TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND MOLD MILDEW SMELLS IN THE ROOM!!
Excellent hotel. Rooms were clean and well maintained
