Spa facilities nice, tired in a few places and small changing area

This hotel will be my place to go when I come back. The staff is stellar, the food good, the lounge has a great view on the castle. I would advise to have breakfast in the restaurant for more choice but the lounge will have better view and be quieter. The rooms are ok, thanks again for the upgrade to a junior suite. Loved the view on the city hall.
Bathroom in the junior suite was spacious and clean.
The pool feels a bit enclosed and lacking space (Park Plaza pool is better imao) but at least the jacuzzi doesn't need to rest every 5 minutes.
If you have a boingo subscription, use it to connect, the speed is better than the basic free access coming with your room (if you booked direct).

To improve: WiFi reception in the room 314 was a bit weak (pretty sure other similar rooms will suffer the same problem), much better when back to a more central area of the hotel. TVs are old, low resolution, poor image quality and impossible to plug our own devices on the HDMI. Also noticed a lack of usable power plugs around the room. Although the 2 USB on one side of the bed is a good touch.

Nothing special, good location but no car park - valet parking available but expensive. Waited for over an hour to check-in, whilst sat in bar area waiting for room covered with beer by waitress no apology or offer of napkin. Other staff very helpful and amendable.

I will not be staying here again rooms not to bad but a bit grubby most of the staff were not very polite when I asked them to empty the waste bin as it was full when I got in the room

Lovely hotel, I used the pool, spa and restaurant and executive lounge and everything was great... Staff were so friendly and helpful will definitely be visiting again.

Restaurant serves pub food at fine dining prices.
Tea-tray lacked complimentary water, so no potable water available to guests. No biscuits either.
Kneehole in dressing table not hoovered.
Breakfast ordering card was used, 10 months ago! Hadn't been refreshed or checked in 10 months!
Standard lamp in the room didn't work.

We will never stay in a Hilton again.
Special mention for Tom on reception who was the only pleasant thing to happen in our stay.

Very good hotel, breakfast top (Egg Benedict recommended). Location right by the castle and about 10-15 minutes from the main train station.

All that you would expect from a Hilton Hotel really. Large comfortable room. Nice decor throughout. Excellent, pleasant, attentive staff. Great spa and larger than expected pool. Lovely views to the castle. No parking but multistory car park very close by. Hotel offers valet parking.

Very nice hotel. Went there for a hen party candidate everything was close. They were very friendly .

Standard Hilton, limited parking spaces but very good valet service. The rooms are a good size and well maintained. I didn't get a chance to use the gym but it looked well equip.

Bottomless brunch. What an excellent way to spend an afternoon with friends

All in all very nice, some annoying niggles like no room service menus but for the price of the room I was pleasantly surprised. The Grey restaurant on site is fantastic.

Nice hotel on the edge of the town centre. This Hilton feels slightly faded but good sized bedroom, nice breakfast and good access to Cardiff Centre, the castle and so on make it a good bet.

Noisy room due to internal party, moved to upgraded room which was noisy due to external parties! Despite this customer service was very good and we enjoyed breakfast in bed and use of the pool.

Great hotel. Service is always friendly and spot on. Rooms have always been kept to a high standard. Overlooking both the museum and the castle. Plus there's a Costa built right on the side of reception to boot. Recommended.

Am a dj in the hall and it's a really nice place the staff will go out of there way to help out

Spa staff need to have lessons on customer service right from the booking by phone to the face to face felt like i was not wanted there was not shown the facilities was not offered any other service as i was there to use the gym/pool/sauna/steam room and hot tub staff hardly spoke a word to me the facilities aren't very clean and didn't look very well maintained in all a very unpleasant experience and would not recommend to anyone else

Came for work, stay was excellent! a very well organised medical event. Room was fantastic and even enjoyed the spa area

It's a nice easy location to get to, very central for Cardiff, right opposite to Cardiff Castle. Our company ExecFirm - Executive Travel is here daily to drop off our clients for their Hotel to Airport Transfer.

As per all Hiltons. Nice views from upper floors. Executive lounge is small but perfectly functional for short stays

I love using the gym at Hilton Cardiff. They have steam room, sauna and jacuzzi and ample swimming pool.. I like the gym space very much..

Went for lunch had a lovely time really nice tasty food.

The actual room and amenities are lovely although the TV is from early 2000s which would need updating , staff can be helpful when its convenient for them at the front desk, staff at breakfast are lovely. However we have stayed on 2 separate occasions and have had something stolen while staying at the hilton, and the staff weren't concerned or phased at all, so if you do stay might not bring everything back home with you !

I have attended several conferences in this hotel. The venue is a walking distance from the train station. Parking areas close to the hotel are quite expensive.
Excellent hall facilities for presentations.
Snacks and refreshments are usually very good.

The Costa coffee in the Hilton is the best coffee shop in the city. Most people don't realise it's even there so you'll normally always get a seat.

We went to the Costa at the hotel. It was clean and relaxing. The customer service was brilliant.

The hotel is starting to show its age in the bedrooms. The reason It only has 4 stars off me is because the actual booking was a bit stressful and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The staff are 5 star. Even the cleaner stopped to say good morning. All in all good but have been to better.

Pretty standard for Hilton, prime location for getting about on foot

Had afternoon tea here on new years day which was delightful. A wonderful selection of teas, sandwiches and sweet treats. The staff were very attentive. A lovely setting. Highly recommended.

Various function rooms to cater for all needs. Food was very nice, although the bar can be a little expensive.

The hotel is in a brilliant City centre location and, so ideal for local trips and sight seeing.

First time in there it really impressed.

Myself and my wife visited Smooch Spa for the day. We had a great massage then relaxed in the spa..... recommended.

Easily located just opposite the bus stop on greyfriars road.Had afternoon tea with presecco, absolutely lovely and lovely, helpful staff as well. Couldn't fault it.

Far too noisy. As a business hotel getting only 3/4 hours sleep due to noisy local bars is not good enough. Hotel should be sound insulated. Will not use again.

Loved the hotel overall, but our AC was broken and we had a very warm room.

Good hotel with decent facilities in the Center of Cardiff

Nice hotel but not sure it's worth the extra cost. Room was quite hot, Aircon did not work, TV is limited on channels and the toilet took forever to fill. Not much better than a much cheaper Premier Inn.

I visited this hotel for ASCL Cymru Annual Conference on 1st December 2017. Was a very comfortable stay and I can highly recommend the steak!

Clean, comfortable, polute staff and ideally situated. Also a quick and easy booking system.

We stayed at the Hilton Cardiff for five days. beautiful room , great location , wonderful staff. Let me say as a owner of Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Hyatt hotels in the USA I was very impressed with the staff as the last day they had a fire alarm based on mechanical issues , no real fire but we were in the fifth floor and the staff and management should be commended for their attentiveness to make sure everyone was off the floor and in a safe location at ground . Staff were he last ones down the stairs . As a hotel owner I know these things happen but all for safety of the customer .

An absolute delight, the iron and trouser press came in very handy. The wines anb Baileys fitted in the fridge easily with a few snack pots too. Just 2 complaints... A broken toilet roll holder and the bucket seat by the window was heavily soiled, it appeared to have been the scene of a passionate encounter. Not nice to sit on for anybody else.

Only visited for drinks, nice atmosphere in the bar and nice to be able to talk and no loud music!

Staff super attentive excellent location and wonderful town

Lovely specious comfy room for myself and kids , very clean and if u need anything we just asked ie extra tea bags instead of coffee. All u needed included ie hair dryer, soaps etc... .Pool was amazing for the kids and breakfast was very tasteful with plenty of variety. Thank you for a lovely stay will defo return on next visit to Cardiff. Excellent location too.
