Don't come here if you want a quick sundowner. It took 10 minutes to get service and the a further 30 minutes to get our cocktails. This in a bar with less than 20 patrons!! That said the, cocktails were delicious. Its just a shame we had to gulp them down before our function started!!

Huge trade area with a multitude of local and international brands. A wide range of restaurants and outdoor activities or inside the centre. With a wonderful view of the ocean. To do if you come to Cape Town!

This is a great hotel with excellent staff, friendly and happy to help you at every opportunity. Food is first class at a reasonable price. Check in staff, waiters, cleaning personnel all have such a good attitude towards guests. I am well impressed with this place. Alf Gilzean room 313.

Reception staff friendly and accommodating but that's where it ends.
Rooms are okay
Breakfast staff is very unfriendly.
Takes over a hour to get a egg and over 20 min to get milk for cereal if you lucky.
If you looking for a stress free family holiday than maybe try somewhere else.
Thanks

Great hotel. Location is okay depending g on where u are headed. So ideal for business trips.really great breakfast. Whilst load shedding is not thier problem they should have some emergency lights in the room. I walked into darkness every night.

Review 2017: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cape Town - Upper Eastside - Nice & Quiet
I really liked the ambiance of this hotel. I'm sad because I wanted to extend my stay but they were booked solid. Check-In was easy and the front line staff was very nice and personable. This location is far from all the action but they do offer a shuttle to the V&A Waterfront a few times a day which works great because you can catch HOHO and all of your water excursions from there. The hotel is very quiet which was a nice change coming from a hotel in the center of town with so much street noise. My room was very comfortable. I like the amount of space I had and the functionality of the setup. The bathroom is a good size and I had plenty of closet space. I was happy to have an iron in the room. I absolutely hate the hotels that make you ask for an iron. I had the Spicy Chicken Penne Pasta with Spinach at the restaurant and it was delicious. I left my phone in the room so I didn't get to take a picture but the presentation was nice also. This morning I went to take my pictures for my review and one of the shuttle drivers told me stand there by the sign and I'll take your picture. It wound up being an awesome picture. I was so focused on taking the sign I didn't even notice the mountain in the distance until I looked at the picture he took of me. Doubletree Upper East Side will definitely be my hotel of choice when I return to Cape Town.

Review 2019: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cape Town - Upper Eastside SECOND GREAT STAY
This was my second stay here. I was last here two years ago and everything was consistently as great as my last stay. Nkosiyethu and Sipho were prompt in helping me with my luggage as I was dropped off. Tasleem handled my check-in and he was very welcoming as I approached the reception counter. He was also very timely when he was pulling double duty as the shuttle driver. Aalia was very warm and helpful one morning when I needed to change a large note for some smaller notes. Knowledge was a complete joy to chat with when riding the shuttle and he knew good alternate routes to avoid traffic. This time I stayed in a one bedroom loft and it was very spacious and comfortable. It had a full kitchen, a half bath downstairs, balcony and two work areas one upstairs and one downstairs. The bed was super comfortable. When I checked in they had the room setup as a king, but I needed two twin beds. The housekeeping ladies that came and converted the room were very pleasant and the service during our stay was great for the regular cleanings and the turn down service.

We had a really nice time. Took a walk to explore the surrounding area. Staff was great. Ots of attention to detail. Best part, a warm cookie on check-in. Loved the special touch, it made my day!

Booked with the understanding of self service apartment but they didn't have any available. Staff friendly and place is neat. Parking have to be paid for. The complimentary biscuits is quite unique and tasty. Central to most places in city center and waterfront side if you have your own transportation. Value for money I staid in better places in Cape Town before. I guess it all depends on your desired location.

On the 14th Of January i went to this place at 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM . The staff member at the reception was rude and unprofessional. I was okay with the price i just wanted to view the room and complete my booking. The staff member told me very rudely that he is the only one at the reception and that i must wait until some more staff members arrive so he can help me "As you can see i am the only person here and only can help you when other staff arrive". I watched as other staff members arrived and he still did not help me. We continued to wait until we realized the staff did not want us to stay at the hotel at which time i decided to leave. I went to another hotel of similar price and they quickly booked me in with professional service.Don't waste your time at this hotel based on the staff attitude, you will regret it .

I have stayed at the Double Tree a number of times and it's always a great experience. The welcome cookies are always a lovely treat. The rooms are nice with a really comfortable work area and great lighting. The beds are comfortable with amazing bedding.
I would recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town. They are the best in the Hilton group

Excellent service. Staff is very friendly easy to talk to. Security is difficult to work with as they do not give clear instructions when arriving. I stayed here 5 nights and enjoyed everyinute of it, they have a gym and swimming pool if you want to cool off afterwards. I have attached photos of the food and the room I stayed in.

Great Hotel. Parking seemed to be a bit of a problem but ai was therw for an event, I'm sure if you're staying here it won't be an issue.
The burger I had was delicious but not cheap as the accommodation. I guess you pay for location and quality.

Fantastic food, friendly and helpful staff, spacious modern accommodation... A home away from home! Views of Table Mountain and Cape Town habour. Conveniently situated on the Upper Eastside of Woodstock - 10min to the Waterfront, 7min to CBD, 15min to the Cableway. My favourite view: Sunset over Lion's Head

Very good
