Beautiful hotel, underground parking and superb views
4 star? I saw plenty of 3* hotels looking much better than this Hilton.
Set up for a comic con, easy access, and nice room.
A nice hotel. Beautiful interior. Hit and miss staff. Usually quite busy, so they're certainly doing something right.
My first impressions were amazing and this was maintained throughout my visit.
Fantastic location. Classic old hotel on the sea front.
One of the best hotels in Brighton. It's right opposite the new i360 and the views of the old pier and sea are amazing. Breakfast was very nice
A nice hotel on the seafront. All the staff I encountered went out of their way to help me, despite me turning up after midnight with my bicycle.
Great facilities - attended a two day conference here and the event rooms and coffee provided were great. Bar was good and had a wide selection of drinks. The drinks were a little pricy but it is what you expect in a hotel bar. Overall a really good experience.
Nice spot on the beach and staff all friendly but clearly under-resourced and underinvested in maintenance.
I regularly use the gym and pool area in the basement of the hotel. Service is always very good throughout my visit. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
1 night trip to Hilton Brighton 09/08/20
3 family's total of 13..
The hottest weekend the Hotel was completed booked and checking in was at 4pm due covid left the car in parking area ..
2 family rooms 1 single room and 1 King superior Room .
Hilton Hotel is a old Victorian Hotel that has no Air conditioning, this caused some issues that night 2 rooms had air conditioning and signal room air conditioning went down through the night.
With this said before we checked out I spoke to Gabriela who assisted me with the issues we had from our stay , she was more happy to sort out the issues and was able to sort compensation for the inconvenience we had .
I was very happy with the support from given by Gabriela could not say for the rest of the front desk staff .
Staff lacked to give a great service from front desk definitely required training in this area .
To see a queues up to the front door shows lack of training and how to execute with staffing.
Hotels definitely need to have a back up plan due to heatwaves in the uk other wise feedback from customers will play a negative part to the business.
Service given by Gabriela 5 star
Service by hotel 2 star.
When you book to stay here you don't get what you asked for.

By far the worst Hilton's I have stayed at. Stayed there a night & 2 days for work.
- The food is of the poorest quality. It has no flavour and is presented like canteen food or school dinners in mass quantities. All meals are below average & even after having a preordered 3 course meal, many of us were hungry & stepped out to find something decent to eat!
- The tables in restaurants is permanently sticky like it's never been wiped down. The cutlery is left on the table sticking to the surface.
- The cups for tea & coffee are dirty & stained so you have to go through a few to finally find a clean one
- There was a wedding there, we were a group of 60 odd people from work in addition to other guests staying over. Yet the entire ladies toilet on the ground floor was Out of Order for more than 24 hours. Interestingly when you ask the staff where other close toilets are, they were unaware that the ground floor toilets were unusable. The ones on the first floor were occupied by Nursery kids most time during the day. So we had to make our way to the gym toilets in the basement.
- Now the bedrooms - most of the rooms did not have a working air con. There are no power sockets near the bedside which you would think is a common thing to have.
- The bathroom had an empty packet of shower cap - goes to show how much attention House keeping pay whilst cleaning. So I had no shower cap & no one at reception to answer call to arrange for one!
I am absolutely shocked to have experienced something like this in a hotel like Hilton.
- The overall decor is very dated with stained carpet. Whilst it is nice to preserve some of the vintage style, the hotel desperately needs an uplift.
Apart from the convenient location of being walking distance from the pier, there is nothing to recommend about it.
Great exhibition location, been here for several events over the years and everything always ran really smoothly (and the space itself is lovely).
The room was far too hot, even on one of the coldest nights with both the bedroom and bathroom windows open.
There was a large chair blocking the route to the bathroom. And the room was tired and the carpet worn. I didn't feel it was worth the money.
Cream Tea for anniversary event. Good selection of audervs and cakes
Great rooms with sea views and lots of things to do in the hotel
Nice clean room but rather small the one we was in
staff are really helpful and polite.
Breakfast was amazing .The only things i didnt like about our room was the lighting it was very dark even with the lights on as their wasnt much natural light.
Went for a drink in the bar. Poor, very slow and unfriendly service. However the cocktails were very well prepared and of a high standard
Ruined my new year celebration, doesn't worth its money
Amazing staff, magical location. It's just missing a little bit;)
Only tried the bar. Dreary atmosphere with slow service.
Ladies and Gents bathrooms in the reception area are disgustingly dirty. They need cleaning!!!!
Fabrice, our restaurant waiter was very helpful and polite. Food was brought out in good time and he topped up our drinks on multiple occasions.
We had the best experience on our recent stay. The staff were all incredible from the front desk to the restaurant, and it felt like they would go out of their way to make sure our stay was fantastic. Highly recommended.
Only visiting for a commercial event. Staff where very pleasant and professional. The venue was very nice
So old you ll be sure you moved back in time, toilets don t work sometimes, furniture is rotten or damp. If my company was not paying for that I would have never came here
Covid friendly with room service and cooked breakfast provided to room much more effort than other hotels.
Rooms are very basic. Better to go to the Premier inn. Living off its name. Parking in the hotel carpark is open to the general public. So surprising that on a busy bank holiday you can't park despite being a paying guest.
Quite a grand Hilton due to the building itself. Other than that it is just the same as every other Hilton I've stayed in. You get everything that you come to expect from the hotel chain.
Excellent. Comfortable. All very polite. Coffee well served. Clean. Nice. Well worth it.
Handling covid very well, good processes, friendly staff, good service
Hotel nice bar and food area needs a bit work with regards waiting staff
My very first visit to a Hilton hotel! The Hilton Brighton Metropole is an amazing hotel, the staff on reception and the waiting staff were all very friendly and professional.
The location is perfect also, right on the beach!
The hotel room was clean, spacious and very quiet. The in-house breakfast experience was awesome. The staff were on hand to offer to bring us breakfast to us (which we politely declined) and the quality and quantity of food available was amazing (lol I'm on a diet but called it a cheat day!) I will definitely be utilising the Hilton Brighton Metropole on future visits to Brighton!
Went to the metropole fur the Sunday carvery. The dining room is lovely, staff very helpful and pleasant and the live band made for a great atmosphere. Food was average, but it was a carvery so you can't expect too much. Afterwards we went into the bar which looks lovely but is a shambles: slow service, poorly stocked, not a great choice of beers.
Lovely, by the seaside, simpler than other Hiltons worldwide
Been to the vegfest, a lot more crowded than last year. They really need more toilets & a bigger venue!
Dark, run down, hot hotel with unhelpful staff. Never again!
Great hotel, friendly staff. fantastic breakfasts i really loved my stay here.
No AC, No wifi, old room. It s not the Hilton standards I m used to
Parking is round the back, hidden out of the way. Room was massive and well equipped
terrible hot stuffy room, go to the grand they have air con.
Typical over priced hotel bar. Pleasant staff thoguh
Need to improve social distancing in bar lounge, might aswell be in a funfair
It's an okay place some beautiful areas and the food was not bad
If i had the money i would live here like a rock star.
Very pleasant but finding the lift for upper levelled suites was appalling
Hidden away near the car park entrance, as if they were embarrassed to help disabled guests!
Nice well maintained rooms and a great buffet breakfast
Amazing location. Friendly staff. Rooms need better cleaning and hotel cries for refurbishment
Okay, the rooms needs a proper refresh, otherwise the service was, as always outstanding.
Very plush hotel, good rooms with great views of the seafront
Amazing place and great staff who didn't mind when I asked for anything couldn't help me enough
I was invited to a party in Brighton Metropole. The room was quiet, warm, comfortable, had an oblique view of the sea and I slept really well. It was a great weekend with all amenities and friendly service in elegant surroundings.
I stayed in a double room.
It is easy to spend in a large and clean room.
Pajamas and toothbrushes are not included.
There are shampoo, conditioner and body soap, but they are used up in a small bottle for travel. They put new things every day.
Breakfast is substantial. There are many types of bread. Sausage, bacon, black pudding, egg dishes, juice, coffee, tea. It was delicious!
Had a two day lovely stay here the staff where lovely and helpful. Check in took a long time it was very busy and we had to wait for or room. Room was nice and big could use some touch ups here and there and it was cold we couldn't raise temperature of our room.we got help to make the bed in to two singles the Spanish man who came to help was amazing an utter delight friendly and made us smile. The bathroom was decent size some touch ups are needed and we didn't have any flannels or slippers. The bar was plesent we did have few issues but staff were close at hand to help. Overall our stay was good and this is a nice hotel we even got to meet diversity. Check out was fast and we had help with our bags.
Stayed here for two nights and had a really pleasant experience. Location is excellent and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty however was not very warm when it arrived to my room. The room I stayed in was very spacious however it was quite dark. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return back!
Lovely hotel, rooms comfy and a nice breakfast. Good location right on the seafront
Excellent hotel. Super huge beds. Very clean. Lots of room for clothes. Breakfast and bar a little pricey. Non rowdy place to stay.
Corporate function hosted in the Oxford Suite. About 400 people expertly catered for, lovely food and drink. Staff were very friendly too.
Well placed hotel on the sea front.
Staff very friendly. Although the hotel has seen better days it it still very pleasant.
Booked a single room for a Friday night out in Brighton. Room was comfortable, great sea views and clean well stocked bathroom, good shower. Bottled water tea and coffee in room too. Really good breakfast and superfast check in and checkout with friendly staff.
Hotel bar not so good, expensive, would reccomend an early drink maybe, then move on...and dont bank on a nightcap ..as bar closed early despite being told it wiuld be open a few hours earlier.
Great location and facilities, but always busy with conferences and events so it takes ages to get hold of a member of staff.
Very pleasant & friendly hotel staff. Nice clean room with fairly new carpet. Bed was bit too bouncy and not much support in pillows which flattened to nothing. Grand restaurant/breakfast room. Plenty of choice for breakfast although sausages tasted bland & bit cheap & would have been better to have sourced local farmers sausages.
Would stay again.
Reception staff did not mention that car park parking meter wasn't working when checking out, so walked all the way out to car park to read notice telling us to pay at reception in hotel! Had forgotten there was a pay meter in reception but that also wasn't working anyway
