Love Highland Meats and their selection. Staff is very knowledgable and always there to answer any questions you may have.

They have so much good food (not just meat - vegetables, baked goods, etc.) but what a great selection of sausages! We had a great BBQ yesterday and served up 5 styles of sausages, from spicy, to sweet, to savory. They usually have great weekend specials, too.

Fresh local fruits and vegetables plus meat and meat and meat.

Save HUGE money on top quality meats /products. LOVE this place

This place came highly recommended to me. I went there and tried their backed goods and enjoyed a meal at their cafeteria with my partner and child. Up until that point everything was great. I went to cash out and the cashier was fixated on my leftover container of food from the cafeteria. I expained to her I purchased this already. She asked me about my can of pop (did I pay for that), where is my red sticker for proof of purchase on my leftover food, where is my receipt. I was stunned, like I was trying to steel leftover french fries. It was hard for me to think that the cashier wasn't just trying to be combative since the only place to purchase a sigle can of pop is at the cafeteria, which is where someone else has to pass you the drink from behind a counter... not sure how I would get one and not pay pay for it. The same goes for the prepaired hot food... you need to pay the cashier for it before she prepairs it and gives it to the customer. Nevertheless, I will not return. Too bad they seem to have a disgruntled cashier.

Love their prices and the staff have always been a great help. I have run 2 pig roasts using their shop, once renting the roaster and the other time having them prep the pig. I have not been disappointed yet, in price quality or prep time. Love the place. The box of bacon is great idea, same with their boneless chicken breast bags, I find the meat tends to be of a higher quality as well.

This place is great they have all kinds of meats and vegetables, customer service is outstanding, pretty, pretty all aground...

their fresh meats and stuff are great but dont bother with a lot of their deli sliced meats it tends to go bad quickly within a few days.. their customer service is horendus i tried talking to some of the people there but they dont seem to understand english very well, i also tried to get email info from there customer service section but i guess they didnt think that customer satisfaction is important enough to them to respond. i would drive all the way out there from toronto to shop there but i guess that doesn't matter to them. i will not be going back anymore..

Own a restaurant and have gotten wings from Highland Packers for many years, which have always been delivered to us. We have a wing special every Thursday and get a delivery mostly every week before our wing night. Recently they told us that they would deliver them Wednesday, and they did not come. So we waited Thursday morning as they "guaranteed" to deliver by a reasonable time. Still did not show up. Now it is 3 1/2 hours into wing night and we have to tell many unhappy customers that we don't have wings. After a phone call to discuss the issue with them, they decide to tell us that they refuse to deliver to us now. Very poor customer service, especially to someone who has done business with them for many years.

Being Polish, I am very fussy with my kielbasa. Star Polski, Beach Road do not compare to Hyland Packers kielbasa.

Friendly staff, fresh & exellent tasting meat & poultry. Good variety of fruits & veggies. Bakery with a good selection. A place to have coffee or eat from a menu at a very reasonable price. It's great!!

Has the best price for fresh butchered and packaged meat. Really like the arancini; stuffed with cheese and ground meat. The smoked ribs are great as well. I also love their varci but whenever I visit they always don't have any.

Come here weekly to get my dogs there meat for their raw food diet. Always have what I want. Staff very helpful.

Very nice, clean store with good selection of produce, frozen food & meat. Nice baked goods and an area that serves hot food in case you want something to eat. Continues to maintain that "country feel" despite some expansion. I recommend this store!

I went in to purchase some cheese croissants and only 1 was left. I asked the lady in the bakery if they had anymore, she checked out back and said they were out. Then she Sked if I had 10 minutes to spare and she would make me the 6 I required, I said yes and they were ready in 10 minutes. What great service. Thanks so much.

What a great customer experience. I was looking to purchase steaks for a company BBQ where we are cooking steak on a bun. I called Highland Packers and they were able to assist me. They cut the meat in front of me and told me how to prepare it and cook it! Fast, friendly and efficient service, can't wait for lunch today!!

I love Highland Market! You get such a country feel. The meat is always fresh and usually they have great deals. There hotfood counter is also amazing and always has something super tasty.

Purchased a beef tenderloin for dinner on New Year's day. The best beef we have EVER had. All of our guests agreed. Thank you for making our dinner spectacular. Best to you in 2015.

Pepperoni sticks are incredible as they are made in-house. Several flavours to choose from and samples ready to try. Friendly staff as well. They have a cafe with a comprehensive menu at reasonable prices. Peameal bacon on a bun is a favourite.

Apparently are no longer butchers. Asked for meat to be sliced so I could make jerky. Told me cant cut meat thin, I can see in the counter infront of them, thin cut veal. I point this out and said can you cut it just like that. I have peices that are 1/2 , 1/4 and 5/8 thick. But not consistent in the same slice. Last time I used Fortinos I'll have to return to them for future purchases

Bought a fresh turkey Saturday before Easter(April 11). Couldn t cook it Easter Sunday (April12) . Opened to cook BEFORE the BB date (April19). Smelled of rotten eggs. Called Highland (Monday April 20) they said- Easter was two weeks ago!!! Of course it was no good!! $35 turkey to the green bin-no solution from HighPack-not a happy customer.

This was a miserable shopping experience. I called and asked if I needed to order a turkey in advance, was told no, they have fresh turkeys available. Waited 40 minutes for the counter to get through *3* numbers (!) only to be told there were no turkeys smaller than 20lbs. If you have to order a turkey in advance, please say so when asked explicitly. So glad I wasted half a day driving out to the middle of nowhere. Thanks for nothing.

Dropped by today for the first time looking for aged steak . The store was large almost lococos style but with more country market type items for sale (fresh baked pies, cookies etc) lots of deli meat selection and all around quality meats for the most part. I haven't cooked the steaks yet but they look great. I wish they offered 40 or 60 day dry aged steaks ! So delicious and hard to find. They said their steaks were aged for a minimum of 14 days but mostly they did 21 days. I was sold. I'm looking forward to this delicious marbled aged angus beef steak. Yum! I would recommend checking this place out it had some great stuff and unique items and just lots and lots of meat selection. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I had questions.

Great products. Large selection for a smaller store.

Wasn't as great as it was made out to be. Okay, maybe a two is a bit low for a rating, but I was disappointed with the prices for meats, especially items like sirloin steak, hamburger, t bone steak, etc. Like, $11 per lb isn't anything great. I can buy these things cheaper at my regular meat shop.

I'm not even joking when I say the smell of this place made my kid cry! One cried the entire time while we were there the 2 others held their noses. That was a major turn off because it smelled of rancid meat despite this I picked up a few things to at least give it a fair go! My family loves sausages!!! But this was the first time I had to throw out more than half the package if uneaten sausage ... Fully cooked I cut into them and the smell coming out was like a dirty farm on a very hot humid day :( I couldn't even bring myself to try a bite. They also had large bone particles in them. The steak was nearly tasteless and the chicken drumsticks were ok but because of all the other things I could never bring myself to return to this store. I tried to support local but I'm not willing to spend more for this horrible experience :(

Very clean, great service , friendly and helpful, baking goods are always fresh , great abundance of frozen dinners like lasagna , shepherd pie, etc., vegetables always fresh! Fruit too!! Some things are a little price too high . You can purchase cooked food to take home like pouting, French fries other entrees home made meals ! I enjoy going to HIGHLAND PACKERS ! Name another store that trims a Picanha to order! Best place to come for hard to find cuts of meat. Great selection of everything else for reasonable prices.
