Have been coming here for 14 years now for work. If you want a modern walk-in shower, look further. But I keep coming. Apparently I like it here.

Went there for a Christmas dinner during lunch time. Only place in the area that serves dinner during lunch time. Good quality and friendly staff

Nice hotel that offers enough possibilities for a visit to Groningen but also for a nice cycling tour in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was normal in terms of price and tasty. Breakfast was also more than adequate. The room was neat and clean.

Had 2 fantastic days. Friendly staff. Perfect suite where we spent the night. Neat neat and clean. Fantastic dinner and delicious breakfast. Ideal place to go to nearby cities.

Stayed for one night in this hospitable hotel within cycling distance of Groningen, located in a beautiful green and quiet area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice, reasonably spacious layout with a beautiful well-maintained Wellness facility with swimming pool, steam bath, foot baths, fitness room and relaxation area. The rooms are clean and comfortable with well-lying box springs. The furniture may be slowly in need of replacement and some minor maintenance is needed in the hotel, but this is hardly worth mentioning. In the morning we enjoyed a delicious and extensive breakfast buffet (from fresh fruit to pancakes and from croissant to spreadable brie). This hotel is highly recommended if you want to visit Drenthe or Groningen (city).

Fine family hotel, but outdated. Great bar, unless you come just before closing, then no ice in GT, not very flexible. Reception very good and try their best.
Bike rental per day! Great for exploring the area.

I stayed here for 2 days with 3 children for the JD basketball camp. We have had wonderful days. Very friendly staff, nice spacious rooms with nice beds, nice facilities (swimming pool, sauna, steam bath). Forgot your hug? No problem! There is a basket of plush puppies on the counter :). Good breakfast from 8 am with anything and everything. The first morning of our stay we had to leave too early to use the breakfast. Then they provide a well-stocked breakfast bag that we could pick up at the counter at 7 am. About fifteen minutes from the center of Groningen.

Dinner on 15 October in the hotel, the food was minimal, decor and decoration is dated and looks very poor, it was a disappointment, so not a second time !!

Bathroom and shower cubicle too small, paint from door and room is dirty. Safe did not work. Kettle was in a mess ...

Decent family hotel with a nice lounge/bar at the front of the hotel.

Ordered carpaccio during lunch, which I got frozen on my plate. Once defrosts very tasty just like the other dish. Checking in earlier was not possible at first and that while we had to change for a wedding. Fortunately they were able to solve that and we were given a room on time.

Great experience, very spacious room and a wonderful swimming pool. Beautiful area with the Onlanden on the corner. Has a large covered bicycle parking.

Quite an old hotel. You can tell it hasn t received much care or any upgrades the last years. However, still very comfortable beds and well equipped rooms. Also has a very nice terrace and the bus station is right in front which brings you directly to Groningen Centre.

Great hotel. We have been coming there for at least 25 years.
First my wife and I later with our children. Nice people and well cared for hotel. Formerly more sociable now, many meeting people. But the service is still great. Money recommended here too.

Nice quiet hotel in front of the gates Groningen. Everything was clean, great breakfast buffet and free WiFi.

Great hotel, very nice for the children to swim. Very good kitchen. Friendly staff, definitely recommended.

The room was good, a bit outdated but tidy. We had booked 2 nights including breakfast, but I would rather have omitted breakfast. This was really very bad! Nothing of the breakfast buffet was tasty, nothing was fresh, fruit not ripe, etc! It is just not to be expected from a 4 star hotel ..

For us at least the first and the last time.

Slightly dated decor of the room, but everything for 2 nights. Use of the sauna, the pool was unfortunately out of operation due to a lot of vapor

Beautiful Hotel on Paterswoldesemeer with beautiful rooms and friendly staff the hotel is from 1888 and has been around for 130 years.
Nice environment and the hotel has many facilities.

Hotel was ok but a pity that at 6.45 pm the recommended daily special was already sold out.

We felt very comfortable in the hotel. The hotel is / was clean, the staff very polite and the food (we have breakfast buffet & 3 course dinner in the evening) was excellent and there was nothing to complain about. In addition, we could let off steam in the small gym. Always my pleasure.
