Nice hotel, luxury breakfast & large rooms. Annoying bed.

Had to leave the hotel 1 day earlier due to broken collarbone. They couldn't refund us, but a cup of coffee would have been nice.!

Good hotel. Nice location and environment. Friendly staff. A good breakfast buffet in the morning. Free parking in front of the hotel. Groningen is easily accessible by bus.

Had rented a room with lunch. Room was dressed up somewhat nicely but nicely with a beautiful view. Food was good and not expensive.

Nice hotel, with very good wellness and breakfast. Good beds, shower was ok. Too bad our late check-out got cancelled. Not much on the menu for dinner. Try italian restaurant Il Lago, it's great!

Have sat for over 20 minutes, service did not look my way 1x. Even walked past my table twice. But nothing. Went in after 10 minutes and asked if the terrace was for breakfast only. It wasn't, I placed my order .. But after another 10 minutes I left disappointed.

Large hotel with accommodation and meeting facilities and other facilities. Within walking distance of Lake Paterswold and close to the city of Groningen.

A very nice, cosy place. Family friendly, in a nice green environment, next to a lake, and 10 minutes away from Groningen center. Staff make you feel at home.

The hotel is aging, so you can see some wear and tear. It's definitely not bad, but I've seen better. The rooms are clean. Friendly staff. The swimming pool is alright.
The restaurant is a bit to pretentious, prices are a bit too steep for the average quality of the food and the small portions.

Family hotel says it all. A good place to go with young children. Good food. Many pensioners as well. If you're looking for excitement or a romantic place go elsewhere, but if you need a place for your family to stay or eat this will do nicely

Facilities are great and I highly recommend this hotel for couples who just like to spend a quiet and intimate time... And to Those who just want to relax and just want to escape the buzz of the city... :) it's also nice for friends... :)

Nice quiet area. Near the Paterswoldse lake within walking distance. Just below the city of Groningen. Also sweet service. Not old fashioned but has something classic. I like.
But very poor kitchen and very limited menu. With every dish we had the same soggy vegetables and fried potato flavors. It even seemed like it was a bite from the previous day. The butterfish was flavored but also dry. The following night I started puking and diarrhea because of spoiled fish. Well. I have been warned. We filed the complaint with the waiter who wrote everything down and advised us to put our finding about the very mediocre kitchen in the guestbook.
All in all nice rooms, nice environment but dinner bad. Breakfast is adapted and sufficient.

A bit old-fashioned from the outside and the rooms are not particularly new or modern. Still perfectly adequate and beautiful. They are also clean. The mattresses were very worn, which is why I didn't think the bed was great. Otherwise there was nothing to complain about about the room.
The service was good too. All friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant (dinner) was great!
The wellness area was our favorite place. Everything you need. Everything was clean and well-kept, even in the small fitness area.
The location is central, you can quickly get to the lake, shopping or restaurants.

I visited the hotel for a high tea. So I only saw the restaurant. The building and the interior is well cared for. The staff was helpful and friendly. The high tea was tasty and consisted of savory and sweet cakes and sandwiches. There was sufficient choice of familiar tea flavors.

Bought a high tea voucher at the last minute via AH promotions and cashed in 3n. We have eaten and drunk wonderfully. In the beginning do you think this is all? But after having had a few snacks, it is more than sufficient. A big compliment for the hospitality.

Carrot cake was somewhat dry. Good service, took a while. Little corny atmosphere

A reasonably good hotel in Paterswolde near the lake is fully worth its three stars.

it would be worth 4 stars if the logistics at breakfast could be a bit clearer and if they would ensure that everything functions perfectly
A walk at the paterswoldsemeer makes it complete.

Tennis court was out of use. Should be mentioned. Food was just to do for 4 stars, k expected a bit more, the rooms are okay and the pool is good

We were there over New Year's Eve. Delicious New Year's Eve buffet. But what was very disappointing was that there was no New Years Eve party. You had to leave the table around 10pm, so to speak.
Then just went to Groningen at the turn of the year ...

Otherwise the hotel is quite fancy ...

A great hotel with many facilities. We had a nice room with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. The breakfast buffet consisted of various types of bread, eggs and warm dishes, as well as yoghurt and fruit.
Good walking possibilities and you are close to the city of Groningen.

A nice restaurant in Groningen area and the food was great. The location is very close to the beautiful lake which you can swim or spend some nice time with family watching by sailers and boat riding. The restaurant staff were very friendly and can speak English. Highly recommended from my side

Good food, too bad that the service at the last bite you took came to ask if you wanted anything from Potatoes or Vegetables would be nicer if they had asked during the meal.

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend because of a wedding anniversary (which also took place here).

The hotel left nothing to be desired. Very friendly staff, nicely decorated and good-looking hotel and furthermore a nice bar. The rooms are also nicely laid out, cleaned and furnished.

Friendly welcome, spacious room, good beds and a great breakfast. Floor covering and bathroom furniture do need replacing.

Neat meeting rooms, good catering, good coffee machines. Good lunch, easy parking.

Not everyone of the staff was equally friendly. The quality of starter and main course also disappointed. Grilled tuna that was too dry and capers with butterfish was not a nice combination.

Had a very spacious and contracted suite. Food selection in the restaurant was limited but of high quality. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with options.

Pleasant hotel. You can make nice use of the extra facilities such as the sauna, swimming pool and fitness room.
