Hermitage Homes Review

The house was delivered in record time even after after adhering to all COVID restrictions. I was expecting the completion in November but the house got handed over in September itself. The land was titled on 25 March and from title to handover the speed and quality of delivery was impressive. I had appointed an independent property inspector and they also confirmed the quality assurance of high standards.

I am getting really excited building with Hermitage Homes. So far, I am well informed with the progress of the work. Many thanks to Mirka for being responsive and provide great customer service. I believe everything will go on well and looking forward to the completion of the construction work.

Our house was built very quickly and the Hermitage staff are so lovely. We were so happy with the process from beginning to end.

We used Hermitage Homes to build our first turn key home. The quality of built was good and Bob, our site supervisor ensured standards were met in all areas. Miranda responded to any requests or problems we encountered in a timely manner, even after the handover. There was no additional cost from the estimated cost of built.
After moving in, one of the taps started leaking and a plumber was sent straight away to fix it. We will definitely consider using them again should we build another property in the future.

My house was built very fast. Questions and enquiries are solved quickly within a day by the super friendly staff. After each stage, photos and report are sent when I'm unable to inspect. No extra cost during the construction period. Everything are within my expectation. After construction finished, any problems raised are still followed up and solved. Very satisfied!!!

The home care department (Donna and Michelle) have been excellent to deal with. The 90-day warranty walk through Michelle is always effortless! The time and attention to detail given is second to none. Donna s response time and repair/maintenance completion time is excellent. I have never once needed to follow up with Donna as she is always contacting me first with solutions. The communication from the home care department is incredible. Donna and Michelle always go above and beyond, I couldn t recommend the team highly enough!

Hermitage homes was very helpful in finding the block of land and broker. Generally we are happy with the quality of the building. Communication has been okay. However, delayed hand over due to gas installation issue could have been avoided. Happy customer.

This is a comment for the pre-site administration works and the overall experience we have had so far with Hermitage. As of this writing, we are delighted to be progressing with the Construction phase in a timely manner.

First off, we are pleased and highly impressed with the professionalism that Hermitage has presented to us. From doing the selection of colours with Simone, to processing the other pre-site works with Mirka, everything has been a welcoming and pleasant experience.

Most of the recent communications we had regarding pre-site works were organising the documents for the permit, insurance, drawings and a few formalisation of variations. To be specific, Mirka has been impressive in responding back to our queries and she has been delivering on-time with precision. This shows that Hermitage values time and efficiency.

Overall, we are happy in dealing with Hermitage and we look forward to a final quality build from them. Once our house finishes, I'll be glad to share my final review.

I build my 1st investment home with Hermitage Homes. Miranda and Bob was extremely helpful and very responsive. It makes the journey so painless and i'll definitely build with them again.

My wife and I built a home through Hermitage Homes and we are quite dissatisfied with the extremely poor communication and problem solving skills of the Supervisor and Administrative staff. The landscaping was quality is less than ideal.

The process was not smooth and every request for an update was a challenge. They would often advise me things had been fixed when in fact they weren't, and attempted on a number of occasions to decline responsibility to fix broken items and errors made during the build. We have handed over almost two weeks ago and the Supervisor is still yet to amend outstanding items. I honestly would not recommend this builder and would not build through this company again.

In pre construction phase at the moment. All emails and communications have been excellent. I m sure the build quality will be just as good.

Very happy with the service I have received from Mirka at Hermitage Homes during the pre-construction stage of my build. Communication has been consistently clear the whole way along with any matters or queries resolved very quickly. Our build is just about to move into the construction phase and so far, so good. Mirka has been liaising with us during pre-construction and has responded to all of our queries both promptly and thoroughly. I used Hermitage for my investment home. They were great during the build. Great communication. No issues.
HOWEVER once the house was complete their warranty section have been woeful. Not answering emails. Deflecting all questions when things have been found post delivery. They have expected me to chase their suppliers to make warranty claims. They have rejected everything, with no communication.
I would NEVER use this company again.
How you support your product and treat your customers says a lot about a company.

Miranda and team were great in providing support and keeping me up to date with the progress of property till completion.
After completion in my final inspection few issues were spotted which were also rectified within a short period of time.

My first Built was with Hermitage Homes, very proud to say. Everything from buying the Home and land package till to the end was great. I didnt have to worry about much, Yes there were few hick ups but i think with every build , its normal and they took care of it, straight away. So much to learn and experience but I hope one day, I can do it again. I would highly recommend Hermitage and all the people involved with it.

They are well known for their poor quality homes and dumping soil on next door land and then completely denying if you ask them. My friend built with them and the roof started having cracks in the second year. Stay away from this builder.

Hermitage Homes did a pretty good job building our property. There was some communication breakdowns at first stages; however, Miranda and Bobby sorted them out and respond promptly later. I appreciate their supports and professionalism. Construction was commenced on schedule with no major issues. The build was completed on time and all paper work was handled perfectly. The final cost was the same as agreed. The only thing that I was not satisfied was the price, which was a slightly higher than other construction companies, given the same design of a double storey house in the same area.

Unable to comment on built quality as the house building has not been completed. Process from settlement has been good,Up to date details on every stage of the process. Response time for questions has been prompt, usually within the next business day.
Have been to a couple of homes built by them, it would be good if there were more options on things like carpet and door furniture as the once i have seen all uses the same design.

We are extremely happy with our investment property build completed by Hermitage Homes.Right from the first contact they were professional and easy to deal with.Our site supervisor Bob was fantastic and Miranda from head office always provided timely updates on progress of the construction. Workmanship is up to standards and the job was completed pretty quickly as per the contract price. We were provided with quite a few free upgrades, which was certainly the icing on the cake!!

Exceptional service with no issues at all and required minimal communication and attention from my point of view which is exactly what I was after building an investment. I found the layout, switched a few structural things around with no hesitation, color selection was swift as well, the house was turn key all-inclusive of everything at a great price. I received regular updates from the admin at each stage with plenty of pictures to view the progress of the build. I ve just completed the final inspection and was very impressed with the workman ship with the only issues being cosmetic (paint touchups) or things that were still under construction and all ready noted. The site supervisor (Tim) was very helpful and easy to chat to regarding any faults (minimal) that were found, I had a building inspector come down as well to provide a professional insight who also made note that the build was definitely one of the better houses he has seen in a long time, finding no significant faults that required urgent attention. Overall I m very satisfied with the team at all stages, from inception to completion and would highly recommend using Hermitage Homes for your next build. I look forward to hand over in the next couple days. A well-deserved 5 star review, thank you and well done!

This is my second house built by Hermitage. As usual, fast, responsible and professional were shown during the whole construction period. I'd recommend and employ them to build my third house in future.

Beware if you're a neighbor next to where they build, their contractors believe your property is access to theirs and don't care what damage they do on their way through. 6 months later and still waiting for repairs.

The design of build is Jackson 18/ Duke and was completed on time in June 2019. We have just done the inspection of 90days warranty and we are all happy with no defect found even a little scratch. There is no hidden cost. The final cost is exactly same as what they quoted in early stage. I'd highly recommend Hermitage to you who are looking for quality and professional builder.

I decided to build with Hermitage Homes at the request of a friend as he d previously had a excellent experience with Hermitage.

Mirka and the team at Hermitage have been fantastic during the pre-construction stage, responding to all queries promptly and professionally. Our investment property is now at construction stage and we re excited about the build.

We had hand over the home on 30th August 2019 after all and it was some issues that should fixed in two weeks but still not fixed.

We are building our home in Melbourne with Hermitage homes, we are at the pre-construction stage now. Experience in dealing with Mirka has been amazing, very prompt and professional. She kept us well informed throughout the process and always advise on the next steps, so we as home owners living abroad have enough time for preparation etc.

The staff at Hermitage ( Emma, Tim & Miranda) was so easy to deal with and they have maintained a high standard of quality and work was completed quickly and in a very timely manner. My dealings with Mirka on the pre-build phase of the process has been smooth and efficient. I have had timely, accurate and helpful communication throughout, whether that was via phone or email.

Rented a brand new house built by Hermitage for 2 years, appalling. Whilst it's a nice house, the structure and fittings quality are very poor. Cupboards and drawers falling apart, light fittings not connected properly, dodgy wiring in the walls, exterior bricks knocked out of the wall the day before we moved in to install the hot water system, which was never filled in no matter how many times we contacted the builder, main shower leaked through the wall into the 3rd bedroom causing mould on the carpet, the skirting boards as well as bedroom furniture and other personal items. Would never live in another one of their homes unless it was built properly with good quality materials.

Hermitage Home built my first investment property so as you can imagine, I was nervous as I wasn't sure of the process. Fast-forward to completion and it was so easier. Any questions I had were answered straight away and the build quality is fantastic.

Can't fault with the builder or the whole process of building a property with them. Everything went according to plan. No issue dealing with the company (Miranda). They were very helpful and patiently helped me out with all my queries and demands. Happy with the workmanship and also post handover support with any small things arising on usage. I am very satisfied and will definitely build with them again in the future.

I had a change of brick colour to start with though dealt with Abbey who really helped me through the change and later Donna from homecare helped me several repairs just recently. Thank you to these ladies and their total customer care...
