I rarely write reviews but I was very frustrated by my experience here on Friday. I arrived at 10:50 for an 11:00 oil change appointment. Spoke with reception and gave all my information. After I was in the system, I was told it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait for my oil change. Knowing I had an appointment, I replied that I had an 11:00 appointment and that I wasn't a walk-in. I was told it didn't matter, there was a 2 1/2 hour wait for the appointment. Are you kidding me? What is the point of having an appointment? Annoyed to say the least but I decided that I would go across the street and do some shopping to kill time since I needed the oil change done and I had taken the morning off from work. I came back 2 hours later and checked in and asked if there was an update on my car. I was told it should be out shortly so I sat down and decided to wait. Then another 15 minutes passed, then another 30 minutes and finally I decided to get up and ask again and was told that they'd check. I ended up waiting another 30 minutes before my car was ready. I'm very disappointed by my experience at this location. I came in for a simple oil change, nothing else (which I showed up early for) and ended up waiting over 3 hours to have the service completed. I understand things happen occasionally, but 3 hours is absolutely ridiculous and not acceptable.

While my Mini Cooper was being serviced next door, I went to explore my options at HC Honda since I have been considering a larger vehicle. I was quickly greeted by Senior Sales Consultant Keith Banks-Obanor then we met at his desk to go over why I was there and what my expectations are in a vehicle. About 2hours later and a test drive, I was walking out the door with a 2009 Honda Accord. The whole transaction went very smoothly as Keith and Jason Bradley in finance were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

I couldn't be happier with the service during my first car buying experience at this dealer. The atmosphere is welcoming and staff are super friendly. I highly recommend Aaron if you are in the market - I never felt pressured or rushed and he was open and attentive to every question I had, as it was my first time shopping for a car, not to mention, he went above and beyond on getting me a deal to suit my budget as well as meeting my needs. Nothing beats knowing you are well taken care of :)

The people I've dealt with never ever smiled, or greeted me. I ask a question they don't even care to answer with an explanation. I'm trying to buy a car and ask the difference between two cars, or what the feature is about. They don't even care to explain.

One of the cars I was looking at on their site claimed the car had "key-less entry" but the actual car didn't. When I told they should remove that from their site, his response was "Key-less entry is when you click on the button of the car key and enter the car". Really? you don't even know what that feature is or car selling got that low that you think the other person is that dumb?

I can go on and on with their terrible, worse customer service. But I don't have the time but even if I did , this page wouldn't have any room.

After my horrible experience, I've been telling people not to buy anything from these guys and no one can convince me otherwise.!

If I could give minus five stars I would.

I recently started leasing a 2014 Honda CRV from Herb Chambers of Boston. It's a beautiful car, comfortable smooth ride! I am very happy with my decision to go Honda! Keith-Banks Obanor, Krystle Pinhanchos, and Jeff Ford were all EXTREMELY helpful! I drove off the lot in the car that I have wanted for a long time, and I am happy with the price. These three Honda employees made my car leasing expierience as easy and quick as possible, while leaving me happy with my decision! They seemed as happy as I was to drive off that lot in my new car.
A few things I am not a fan of is the the fact that Honda holds the key of your previous vehicle while you look around and that made me feel a bit uncomfortable and pressured, some salesman are a little too pushy and one of them quoted a different price to my boyfriend (a lower price than what could actually be offered) this made me a bit upset, however Keith, Krystle and Jeff made up for that and were not pushy at all and were really hospitable! Krystle is the reason that I went there in the first place. I called she was easy to talk to and extremely helpful, offering me a time to test drive with no pressure to jump into a sale! That is really important because I do not need regrets on what i buy! Hondas lease coverage is not as good as Toyotas coverage of free oil changes tire rotations for the first 2 years, road side assistance, and a few other things aren't part of it, so that was something i don't like, also the parking lot is small and theres not much room to park when you're looking around! The place is clean, most of the staff are friendly, the cars are nice and if you get the right people it's a great place to get a car. Keith showed me all of the ins and outs of the car with enthusiasm, and he seemed genuinely happy for me and my excitement ,which I thought was really cool! Again Krystle, Keith and Jeff are awesome! There was a guy named Steve who kept me company while I waited and was funny it made it less boring!
Overall I was happy with Honda of Boston especially the three employees that I had named!

I came in on a Monday to look at a vehicle but when I got to the dealer the vehicle was sold over the weekend during the Memorial Day Sale. I was upset and was certain that I was not going to find anything and convinced myself it was a waste of a trip.

I spoke with Jose Yapul who was very helpful and patient. Although this was my first time ever financing a vehicle I had visited different dealers several times and never felt comfortable enough to buy.

This was by far the best experience ever. Jose was super patient with me although I was being a brat because the car I wanted was sold and he assured me he would find me something I liked and he sure did. Although it wasn't the car I went in looking for I can still say that I left there 110% satisfied and in love with my new car.

Bought my first car, a Honda Civic there last week. Sales consultant Keith and his assistant were extremely helpful throughout the process. After signing my original contract and leaving, I was unhappy with some of the finances, so I went back in the same day. Keith made sure I was taken care of and repeatedly checked on me while I was with finance the second time around. My second visit there I met with Tom in finances, he helped me find a better deal and was very pleasant to work with. They let me redo my original contract and made sure I left happy the second time around. In the end everything worked out great and I am very happy with my purchase.

Truly a horrible experience. I walked in with the plan on buying a car THAT DAY. I dealt with a salesman, gave him the models I was interested in and my price range. They found a car they thought I would like, took me to a satellite lot, and the car wasn't there. So I perused and found a car that I truly wanted to buy. After being told that I was being "rigid" about pricing and options, despite the full disclosure about my interests and limitations in the purchase, I chose to take a night to consider it. Came back the next day with the decision to buy the car EVEN ABOVE what I had planned on spending, and have been going through hoops ever since. After 3 days worth of 3-5 hours sitting in the dealership and empty promises about actually getting the car in my possession, I am now sitting stranded at work, without the car being delivered as-promised. Strike 3, you're out. I would NOT recommend ANYONE using this dealership, unless you are a glutton for punishment.

I dropped my 2015 CRV for an oil change and to have a noise checked. I found the prices to be quite high--a quote for a rear wheel bearing (mysterious noise) was $550. Also, there's a $130 diagnostic fee unless they perform the work, then the fee is waived. In addition, they recommended 4 new tires for $750--I'd had my car inspected a week prior and asked about the tires--state inspector stated, "no problem." I called around and found a better deal at my local garage--also highly reviewed (Morrison's Auto Rite). I felt a little put off by Herb Chambers, the associate spoke in generalizations about the car--not my specific car--and seemed to use fear/anxiety to persuade me to pay more for work done by the dealership.

Eric Paulson at Honda Herb Chambers in Boston, MA was phenomenal. We would consider ourselves somewhat very knowledgeable in terms of weighing pros and cons when obtaining a reliable car. My husband and I examined and did our research on the value of leasing a vehicle versus buying a low mile vehicle and which would of the two options would have the best value for our money. We researched most if not all the details and came to the dealership prepared to ask the tough questions. Normally most salesmen/women determine how much you know and then try to convince you according to what they feel will be suitable for themselves, but not Eric. P. He was knowledgeable and backed up his information with hard facts. He was super patient and generally a pleasure to do business with. He did not "B.S" his way into getting a sale but was genuinely working hard to ensure we get the best value of our money. He also went above and beyond by coming in on his days off and even on Sunday morning to ensure he was with us through out the transaction because we financed the car from an out-of-State bank and the transaction took a few more days than a regular in-state transaction. We were amazed at his ability to be very friendly while maintaining a level of professionalism. We would definitely recommend him to our friends and family.

I wished I could give a no star review to be honest. I called (08/13/20) in for a touchup paint couple of days ago and was promised it was going to be held there for 2 days. I stopped in today (8/15/20) to pick it up and was told this is not an item thet usually stock and it needed to be ordered. The gentleman at the parts told me it takes about 3 days. I requested him to give me a call and he told me to call them after 3 days. He stated that if he is the only one there ,he cant make all the phone calls. Not only he did not show me any remorse the runaround this dealership is giving me but not even a simple phone call. I dont think this is my stop for my next Honda vehicle as it shows what Herb Chambers Honda is all about.

I had a wonderful experience selecting my new Honda Civic Hatchback Ex with Taylor Lee! He was helpful, kind, and most of all, patient! At no time did we feel pressured to make a decision! We spent quite a bit of time driving old and new cars alike and Taylor was with us every step of the way. When we went to pick up the new car, he helped us with our trade in and walked us through how to use all the features of our new Honda, which was very helpful coming from an older (2002) model. If you know you're going to need a car soon, I would definitely recommend going to see Taylor at the Boston Herb Chambers Honda!

Just purchased a 2015 Honda Civic SE and I cannot say enough about the sales team at Herb Chambers Honda in Boston, specifically Forrest Frangiamore and Alex Omoregie. I'm a law student on a pretty fixed time and financial budget. After several grueling weeks of visiting dealership after dealership, dealing with clueless salespeople and stubborn sales managers straight out of central casting, Herb Chambers really set the bar. They were knowledgeable, kind, respectful, honest and very willing to negotiate with me.

Final sales price and quality customer service are the two most important things to me. None of the Boston area dealerships came close to matching Herb Chambers on either score. They truly earned these five stars.

I bought a BMW X1 in June'13 and I had a very nice experience with Herbs chambers. I was helped by the sales executive 'Sheraz' and he is a real professional. Unlike other typical car showrooms, there was absolutely no pressure on me to decide the same day or pay a deposit to 'put a hold' on the car after the test drive. I feel its a nice thing to give freedom/time to the buyer as this is not a small amount of money.

I also would like to mention my experience on car delivery as well. It was raining heavily on the day of delivery and Sheraz was nice enough to keep the car inside the showroom until I showed up to prevent it from getting 'dirty' (though I showed up a little late). They did not have 'all weather mats' and I was given the carpet mats with a promise that they'll call me as soon as the all weather mats become available. With no follow up, I get an email the following day to come collect the mats. When I went there, Sheraz helped me with the mats as well as my questions on the iPod connectivity (he even gave me an extra cable for free!).

When we buy the next car for my wife, I'll definitely go back to Herb chambers again!

My experience didn t start off great. When I first arrived to Herb Chambers I was greeted by a valet guy that was pretty rude and disgruntled. Not the best way to start off my experience and greet a new customer. However, the rest of my experience went well. The service advisor was extremely nice and friendly. He thoroughly explained the results of the services I had done which was helpful because I don t know much about cars in general. So long story short, this place needs nicer/ more accommodable valet employees that aren t miserable about their jobs and willing to greet customers the proper way when they first arrive at the facility.

Then a sales lady came up and asked me to wait. I waited for 20 mins no one showed up. A sales person came up and took care of me.

I previously had given 4 stars and now i am changing to 2 stars. I have been dealing with this dealership for about 4 and 1/2 years now and haven't really had a bad experience but lately everytime i come in there is always an issue and the staff don't seem to be as friendly and knowledgeable as before. This time i dropped my car of on Friday and was told my wheel and tire warranty company isn't open on the weekend which i was okay with and was told i should have my car on Monday. Monday at about 3 pm i give them a call because i am wondering why no one has called me. I am told to wait because the receptionist had to get a status since Stephanie the advisor wasn't in. I said okay. Thirty minutes after waiting i finally decide to hang up and call back This time i get on the phone with an advisor he tells me that he will talk to the service manager Susan and try to solve this issue for me. At about 5pm i call back because no one has called back. Susan gets on the phone and states that she has her team working on it and my car should be done by today i told her i don't want the next excuse to be that i will have to come pick up the next day since i work pretty far and need my car to get there. she assured me i will have it by the end of the day and someone will call me for sure At 730 didn't hear anything so i decided to give a last call. The receptionist from the sales department picks up and i ask what time does the sales department close and she lets me know that it had already been closed for thirty minutes. At this point i am highly upset and will not continue to service my car here and instead take it to the Honda cars of Boston where i had recently been taking my car as they are faster some what cheaper and a lot more accurate.

I just purchased a 2012 Honda civic ex at herb chambers. I knew what I was looking for before I even got there. As soon as I walked in they got me someone to speak to. That's when I met with Victor O. Right away he took us to his desk and asked me what I was looking for. I told him I new exactly what I wanted and not even a few minutes later he found my car. he brought me to see and test drive my car, that's when I knew this was the one. once we got back to the dealer and talking everything over i was ready to buy this car. he then took me through all the steps and made everything easy for me, i mean he basically did everything. i would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

We recently purchased a subaru outback from Herb Chambers Boston with the help of Hasan Reid. He was very friendly, transparent, and helpful. The car we bought had been traded in only the day before we came to see it and we were ready to buy right away. Hasan was able to get the car turned around and ready for us to take it home in 24 hours! We had an extremely comfortable experience and outstanding customer service from Hasan. Highly recommend!

We had a GREAT experience working with Herb Chambers in Allston. We went in on a Saturday, they listened to what we were looking for and showed us vehicles that fit that criteria/description. We test drove 5+ cars and the Salesperson was extremely helpful and patient with us. We didn't feel any pressure from him which is what we liked most. Unfortunately we didn't end up finding exactly what we were looking for but we would recommend this to family/friends in the future!

You will step out the door with a beautiful shiny brand new car ready to hit the road! I bought a 2016 Honda Civic EX-L black exterior and black interior. Initially I had a hard time deciding on the color of the car. But Tom was so kind enough to take a walk with me on a cold winter day to where all the new cars are kept to make sure I am satisfied of the colors I choose for my car. And I am so glad I chose this color and model. Thank you Tom. Also, Before I hit the road he made sure he went over every technical aspect of the car so I can take full advantage of it. He is a sales person that cares about the customer and will do anything to make sure you leave with your car with a smile! The new 2016 civic is awesome so this is the time to upgrade your car!

Went back to Herb Chambers for some upgrade and maintenance. I always have Tony Yuen deal with my car. He is very generous and make sure you get car back ASAP. The process is very smooth when you have Tony. He is also very helpful in tips on how to maintain your car in the best condition, so I always appreciate his advice.

Ask for Tony next time you go to Herb for any maintenance.

On Saturday I was shopping for a car. I was guaranteed that the car I wanted would be delivered to the dealership on Monday, otherwise I would have gone elsewhere to buy a car. On Saturday I signed over the titles to the two cars I was trading in. When I arrived on Monday, they said that they did not have the car I wanted, that it had been sold to someone else. They did not call me to save me the trouble of coming there. They took no responsibility and wanted my empathy instead. It was ridiculous and infuriating.

I had the BEST experience! I did my research prior to going in and test driving a specific Buick Encore On a Sunday. My plan was to trade in my current Altima. My salesman was Travis. I let him know what I m lookin for & what my budget is. He was very helpful and diligent accommodating my requests. He and another Co worker Dwayne made it happen for me. I was very satisfied with the trade in offer & the price of the new vehicle.so we proceeded. The first attempt didn t sit well with me but they both assured me to give them time to try again on Monday morning (next day)So I did. They went above and beyond to get me the right auto loan to fit my budget. Less than 24 hours later, they called me with the details & I accepted. I immediately drove there After we hung up to finalize the paperwork with the finance manager Wil and I left with my new Buick. They fully understood my strict budget and made this miracle happen. I own a 2005 Civic I would like to keep running for another 4-5 years as our "backup" car. It has proven to be an extremely reliable vehicle (hasn't broken down yet). I took it in for its 100K-mile checkup yesterday. I have had all the service on the car done by HC Boston ever since I bought it used in 2008. About an hour after dropping the car off, I got a call from Sean detailing a number of significant problems that needed to be fixed in order to make the car safe to drive. He carefully explained the repairs and said that the total to do everything was about $2400. He said he understood that it was a lot of money. I told him to just put a new battery in (it needed one), and that I would drive it home and consider my options. After about ten minutes' thought, I realized that I didn't want to spend at least $10K to get a good used Civic right now, and would rather put $2400 into a car that is otherwise completely reliable and likely to last at least a few more years. I called Sean back and told him I had changed my mind. Then I asked him if I was crazy to do it. He said that given how long it had taken for the key parts to wear out (ball joints, tie rod ends, boots, valve cover gasket, etc.), once the repairs were made the car should be fine for a number of years longer. He said that if the cost had been over $5K, he would definitely have recommended not to do it. So I said go ahead. He replied that they would do their best to get it done that day (I live about an hour away), and that he would try to discount the cost a bit because of my service loyalty. He was true to his word. The car was done in time (saving me a return trip), and he was able to take $100 off one of the repairs. Sean made everything understandable and injected the appropriate amount of levity. I drove away feeling poorer but happy to have made Sean's acquaintance. I'm also glad that my little "baby" is back "up to speed." Ouch. Sean is THE MAN.

Sales team was outstanding. The finance department (if you are financing with the dealership) was very flexible and accommodating. However, the finance department had extremely long queue times and is clearly over utilized. Also, ordering a car at a city dealership is difficult since the car must be delivered. Allow the dealer a week to get everything ready for you, and your expectations should be sufficiently managed. It was overall a good experience, with exception of the excessive wait times for finance and waiting a week for the car.

Shoutout to Victor Olivares for helping me lease a 2015 CR-V! An additional thank you to Adajee who doublechecked that the car I wanted was in stock and booked an appointment for me to test drive/discuss leasing options the following day.

When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted right away. Victor was easy to work with and we hammered out an agreement. Both Victor and Lasalle from the Finance Department were respectful throughout the process.

Over the next couple of days, I really appreciated that Victor sent me updates about the dealer docs getting sent over from my insurance company and the status of my CR-V as it made it's way from Herb Chambers' storage in the port. Nice touch to top it off: I was just going to walk over to the dealership for the pick up time, but he offered to drive me instead.

Renewed my lease with Honda Herb Chambers and I wouldn't go anywhere else! The sales person who helped out was Wil Soto - he did a great job at explaining everything to me and helping me choose the right car! The finance manager - Lascelles Mckenzie was also a big help! I was choosing between getting another Civic or fully upgrading to an Accord. I chose the Accord and I LOVE IT! Pulled out the lot very excited. Process wasn't too long and very easy. Went back yesterday to the service side to get my updated registration and inspection sticker (I had to rush there after I got off work since I get off at 5) but they were able to get it done fast before they closed at 6. I really appreciate the service I received! I highly recommend this location!
