Danny H was awesome to deal with. Low pressure, laid back. I was happy with the entire experience. He even showed me how to pair my phone to the Bluetooth system, and called me to thank me again for my business on my way home. Danny is a true professional! Will definitely buy from him again.

UPDATED: Between dropping my car off and picking up, maybe 30 minutes later, it seems like things had greatly improved in terms of service attentiveness. The speed alone impressed since, at the old location, oil changes were often taking an hour and a half to two hours. No complimentary car wash but I'll take the speed over that additional service. The staff today, when I came back to get my car, reminded me of why I started coming here regularly.

I liked this Herb Chambers when they were in Allston but their new location, which is actually closer to my home, lacks a service receptionist so it's kind of a free for all trying to get someone to process your service appointment and no one on staff seems to want to do the job of "we'll be right with you" person. I was offered a discount for the unnecessary wait which was appreciated. Will likely still keep coming here but I hope they can improve and I'll be happy to re-rate them at that time.

Had a phenomenal sales experience back in Feb 2013 and have had only positive experiences in the Service Dept ever since. I only get my car serviced at this dealership and they always offer me good deals and are happy to expedite my vehicle when I need them to. Susan runs a tight ship in the Service Dept and is also lucky to have awesome, awesome people working over there...Robert, Tereza and Alex are a few of the best!

I bought a pre-owned Accord from Herb Chambers Honda in Boston.
Fabian Gracia was my sales consultant and he made the test drive and purchase process super easy. there was little hiccups during the process but Fabian work hard and solve as much as he can.
I saw Fabian working super hard for all things are required finish paper work and delivery,
he was updating me frequently by texting/calling about the progress for paper work, finance and all other things which I had requested.
I find him very good sales person to deal with,and I would recommend buying a car from Him. Thanks Fabian for making things easier for us.

Service too long ( I ve been waiting 6 hours for a wheels balance, oil+filter change, and for a leaking seal that nobody call me to show me where was it. Expensive service, for that price water and a not tasty coffee isn t enough. They didn t reset my computer because they have no idea how to fix it. My Windows used to shut down automatically now you have to let your finger active to close it completely. I mean herb chambers should make it quick, or at least when a customer buying a car to you, you should make it feel like a king !! And I did not feel that.
So to end up the story I went to see an other garage and they make it happen for less money, better service, and a fantastic hospitality atmosphere !!! What I learnt I won t make my mistakes twice ...

Started out a little shaky, but in the end we received the best possible deal. Everyone we dealt with at Herb Chambers Boston were friendly and extremely helpful.
We were able to purchase the car we wanted (new 2018 Honda Accord EXL 2.0l) at a very competitive price.

A side note, we originally went to the Seekonk HC location and the sales associate was neither friendly or helpful. He really wasn t interested in selling me a car, told me to come back when I knew what I wanted!! Made me feel as though I was wasting his time!

Herb Chambers Honda came through in the clutch-- specifically, Eric Poulson. I had to get a used car on the fly as a new job required it within 2 weeks. I live close to Herb Chambers Honda and decided to start there because of how reliable Hondas are known to be.

Eric sat down with my father and I and found the perfect car for me. It was spotless and after reviewing the car's history, we found that it had been serviced and maintained incredibly well. It looks and drives like a new car-- especially because he had the tires and brakes replaced for no additional charge.

After the sale was made (keep in mind this was the first car that I'd looked at, and I am not a sucker!) Eric offered to bring the car to me because of my busy work schedule. Eric Poulson went above and beyond throughout the process and was a transparent and honest salesperson. I highly recommend Eric Poulson if you are looking to buy a Honda in the Boston area!

He obviously had a solution, which was to try and sell us the same make and model, but for a lot more money. Disappointed in the lack of respects for other people s time. I was in need of a new car as my old car was barely functioning. The people at Honda were generous enough to give me a few hundred dollars for my failing car and I was easily able to find a great car for a reasonable price as I navigated the website. Once I went to the dealership itself, I was greeted with respect and kindness as well as introduced to a sales associate (Victor) who proved to be reliable, honest, and very helpful (everything you would want in a car salesman). Needless to say my experience with Herb Chambers Honda and Victor was nothing but positive; therefore, I would highly recommend anyone to this dealership and if you have Victor as your sales associate your experience will just get that much better.

Alex Omoregie is a terrific representation of everything I love about Honda. Alex was excellent and I had a fluid, attentive, full-service FUN experience at Herb Chambers. I was a first-time car buyer and while I had an idea of what I wanted, I needed to be walked through the process of purchasing a car, securing financing as well as handling a trade-in. I found Alex's knowledge base to be broad-based and his approach to be cooperative rather than high-pressure sales oriented. I was not pushed into making my decision, Alex O. listened to my questions/concerns carefully and was very patient with my many questions/concerns as a first time car buyer. I found the pricing to be in-line with many of the common websites and this dealership is legit. I got a fair price, actually it was hard to find a deal that matched what I got. That said; it's hard to put a price on Alex' level of service not to mention his professionalism. Alex, aside from being a very sharp dresser; was a phone call or text away as I we got closer and closer to finalizing the paperwork and his responsiveness gave me a comfort level that is unmatched with the several dealerships I have visited. Never gonna go back again as I already gave them another chance hoping to get better service but turned out getting worse. I bought Honda fit from them in February, two week later there was a weird metal noise from the front passenger side so I had them check first time and they told me the wheels connected not fit well so they fixed it for me.. a week later that noise came back again so I go for second time after bought a car from them only 3 weeks. They said it s nothing they can figure where the noise coming from but the car is safe to drive, huh. I went to my husband's mechanic and he said it just the seat belt that not laying properly then the noise never bothered me ever.
Last Saturday I made appointment for car check up and oil changed which should be free for first oil changed according to what the sale guy told me as a gift for trusting and buying a car from HC, turned out the guy at the front counter told me nothing in the system and the saleperson not working there anymore. I asked him that could he help me out like talking to someone or if I can talk to a saleperson or manager, he was talking back very low that they not helping you more than I could. So I decided to call the saleperson and suddenly the guy at front said, "Well, people should have listened to me more.." Disrespectful service person ever! Holy hell was this the worst car buying experience...

Holy hell was this the worst car buying experience imaginable. Went to them only because their price was good. There were a million points at which I seriously considered leaving the deal simply because of how poorly my time was being treated. Even with a deal already worked out, I spent FIVE HOURS at the dealership.

How could they possibly have wasted that much of my time you might ask? I honestly couldn't tell you, but I'll try. It seemed as if every decision on their part required about half an hour to be made. I couldn't receive a particular incentive from Honda, which I was previously told I could receive, but due to their negligence the details were not discussed and I only found this out once I was there. Of course this was discovered right before we were supposed to close the deal (after already waiting 3.5 hours) and, instead of waiting merely 5 minutes to figure out what to do, they let someone else go ahead of me in line for the financial office. Another 25 minutes down the drain. During this entire wait, I couldn't even look at or test drive the car, because, despite indications to the contrary, the car wasn't even on the lot!

After finally making an arrangement to have it delivered to me the next day, getting into the back room, and watching the world's slowest typer peck away at the keyboard for another hour or so, I finally was able to leave this wretched place, thinking 'oh well, five hours down the drain, but at least tomorrow I will be getting the exact car I wanted at a great price.'

Sure enough, even that was too much to ask. I get a call the next day. The salesman is on his way, and somehow, only now, once the car is detailed and in the process of being delivered, did someone notice that, oh, hey, it's not even the right color! The sheer level of incompetence required for nobody in this entire car-buying process to notice that the car is not in the color that I SPECIFICALLY mentioned MULTIPLE times is genuinely baffling to me. Understandably, as I hadn't even seen the vehicle yet, I said I would decide whether or not I'd still accept the deal once I saw it. Not long after (couple minutes), someone from the dealership calls me and apologizes, and tells me that, no, I can't even see the car before making a decision because they don't want to add more miles onto the car if I'm going to turn it down. Well then.

So I tell him I'll call him back in a few minutes while I decide, and while the salesman is pulled over somewhere. After about 9 minutes I call the dealership again, but I can't reach the person I had just spoken to, and I'm put on hold. So I hang up and call back the salesman driving my car and tell him I'll buy it. Apparently he was already on his way back to the dealership, as per his boss's orders, despite the fact that time was very sensitive, as the DMV was in danger of closing before he could get there. Nine minutes is too long for these goons I guess for me to decide to continue with a deal made under false pretenses. I told him to turn back around and give me my car only because I wanted this nightmare to be over (and the color happened to be acceptable to me).

This dealership has no respect for your time or your interests, only your money. Avoid at all costs.

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Steve Roach when purchasing my 2014 Honda Accord. Even though I may have been a bit rigid (to put it mildly) and completely on guard, Steve was very courteous, professional, and extremely patient with me. I didn't feel pressured or that I was being mislead in any way. I think we may have gone through the entire inventory of cars before I found what I was looking for. He took the time to not only explain all the features of the Accord, but he also walked me through setting up the main operations that I would use on a daily basis. TERRIBLE experience at Herb Chambers Honda. My girlfriend and I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. The customer service was awful and the wait time was even worse.

I'm not going into full detail about what happened, but this part of the experience was mind numbing: after a long wait and a lot of negotiations we finally agreed on the deal. The salesman asks for the $1000 down payment(that we agreed on) so we can proceed with completing the paper work, that same day. After he takes our money, he asks us "when can we come back tomorrow to complete the paper work?" So what exactly did we just pay you $1000 for?!?! At no time before the payment were we told that we would have to come back. We were under the impression that everything was going to be completed the same day. We dedicated our time to get the deal done on the same day, not on multiple days. Coming back another day, means taking time off work and going through another painful day at Herb Chambers, which I was not about to agree to. The lack of transparency was flabbergasting. There is more to our bad experience, but I will just end my review here. Once again, our recommendation is to stay away from this dealership.

Buying a first car as a young person might seem like a daunting process. But Victor Olivares of Herb Chambers Honda made buying my first car an easy and enjoyable experience. I was immediately struck by how patient and diligent Victor was in answering all my questions. This put me at ease in deciding on a car. I decided to add interior leather before taking the car home, and was impressed by Victor s dedication to communicating throughout the installation: he called me with every update along the way. Furthermore, Victor came into the dealership on his day off so that he could give me the car as soon as it was ready. He even organized and packed items from my trade-in car so that I could easily transfer them to the new car. Because of Victor s thoroughness and the sincerity of the staff as a whole, I felt and trusted that Herb Chambers Honda had my back every step of the way.

I ve stopped coming to this location after a bad experience a few years ago. Yesterday my car engine light turned on which I initially ignored but it led to a few more lights turning on and they were close by so I went. My advisor was called Tony and being the clueless car person I was, he took his time explaining everything to me. Turns out I had a handful of things wrong with my car which, good thing, I went at the right time. They were able to take my car in and work on it. Service did take some time but I had a lot of things wrong with my car so I don t blame them. All in all, amazing service and I ve changed my mind about coming back here to get my car serviced.

This is my first car, and I have already made a choice to go for Honda. I went to couple deanships before going to this one. However, this is the place where I finally placed my order. I think the experience is excellent, especially for the sales Jon Rizzo, he has very good service attitude, and very patient to explain more in detail, since I am not quite know about the car. I was in a bind, juggling a lot of family crises, when something went wrong with the car. They got me in the next morning, and had us out quickly so I could get back to my family. They were so helpful and accommodating. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Worst Car Buying Experience Ever...with exception ...

Worst Car Buying Experience Ever...with exception to Mo - the business manager.

I showed up knowing exactly which car I wanted and I was willing to pay the price they had posted. Please note that I live about 70 minutes away from the dealership, so every trip in was at least 2 hours of just driving.

I walked in Day 1 and it took 2 hours for them to find someone to help me, get the car ready for a test, and sign initial papers while I put a deposit down (they were waiting on the title from the lease return).

5 days later, they are ready for me to come pay and sign papers. I notified them I would be showing up at 6pm and I arrived at 6:05 pm only to wait 1.5 hours for them to actually be ready.

At this time I was then notified that they didn't have anything ready including the following:
- Body work (small dent in the side probably from a shopping cart). They Had only sent it to the body shop that morning (and it could have been done without the title).
- Cleaning - It was still in the condition they had received it in 8 days prior (5 days after I put a deposit down).
- Plate Registration - This is understandable as they were needing me to sign final purchase paperwork and needed funding.

I left that night about 2.5 hours later without the car. The business manager I worked with was Mo (short for Mohammed) was the single reason I followed thru on the sale. He was quick, polite, and set me up a with a rental I needed to pick my wife and kids up at the aiport the next day since they didn't have the vehicle ready.

2 days later I get a call from Andrew the Sales Manager saying the Car is now ready, you can come pick it up tonight. I made plans with someone to drive me in and I called Andrew back to let him know I would be there around 6pm. At this time he said, oh please don't come tonight... I need until tomorrow actually...I said ok I will be there tomorrow after 12 sometime and cancelled my plans.

The next day I leave work at 12pm (early) and called Andrew right when I left saying I am heading in and I would like everything ready as I have an appointment at 4pm. He proceeds to ask me what's the latest I can leave their shop saying they still aren't ready with the car... LOL... I said 2pm was the absolute latest but I don't want to be waiting around for hours AGAIN.

I show up around 1:15 and they notify me that they haven't even cleaned it, it's still not thru inspection and in fact they found a alignment issue they just started to work on. They also have a recall on something they hadn't got to yet... WHAT THE HECK HAVE THEY BEEN DOING? I think since they had my funding 2 days prior they really didn't care.

I left at 3:30 (yes over 2 hours later) with the vehicle, had to rush back while pushing my appointment back.

The whole experience was absolutely ridiculous. It should never take 3 trips into a dealership 2-3 hours each time (not including travel) to purchase a vehicle. I even asked after I paid the second time I was there if they could transport it when it was ready closer to me and they said they didn't have the man power to do that for me...

On a completely separate note. Mo the business manager was one of the most pleasant people I have ever dealt with buying a vehicle in my life. I truly wish he was the GM at this shop as you can tell he knew enough and cared enough to take care of me.

My experience with Herb Chambers Honda in Boston is that the sales staff completely ignores your needs once you have guaranteed a sale.

1) I told the sales staff I wanted to pick up my car on September 1st but instead of sending me the papers so that I could sign and have the car ready by then, they ignored my emails and I wasn't able to get my car until September 3rd which resulted in several inconveniences that I won't list here.

2) When I came into Boston, they had the wrong papers prepared, which resulted me having to reshuffle my schedule the next day when I was supposed to run a lot of errands for getting my new apartment in order.

3) Over a week ago from today, I asked the sales associate to send me a few details. He said he would email me. He has yet to send me anything or at least update me. This is consistent with me having to constantly follow up multiple times to get anything done with him.

Ultimately, the buying process was not smooth even though I supplied every piece of requested information extremely promptly and expressed exactly what I wanted. I don't plan on buying a car from Herb Chambers Honda again.

We had the pleasure of purchasing our new vehicle with Herb Chambers Honda Boston. Everyone was friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend them! Keith Banks-Obanor and Brad Dixon helped make this such an easy process.

Horror, horror, horror. When the agreed price of a van was $ 18,000 with a salesman, and all of a sudden it into a sum that does not include a trade in to with a balance to Honda finance/leasing unit. The price now is $ 26,000 was my 2010 civic was deemed to have a trade-in value of $ 8,000. Bait and switch? More like robbery. I checked my credit card account, and the $ 1,000 that was held as good fath deposit went through. I am disputing it now.

Lessons to be learned? (1) never to use your credit card as good faith deposit. (2) beware of what is included or excluded in the final price, and (3) avoid going to ddealer that keeps you stewing/waiting and back forth bargaining game with their sales manager. If all else fail and you need your deposit back, take them to small claims court and file a criminal complaint with the attorney general's office.

Was told that they had a specific trim available for test drive. When I got there, they asked us if we were flexible to other trims, because the trim we wanted was not available. So was that a build faced lie on the phone to get us in to the dealership? We wanted to test drive the car we wanted to buy, not a higher end one. After we left because we didn't have the trim, the sales person called and yelled at us for leaving! Not shopping here again even if I have to pay higher at a different dealership.

I was discussing a vehicle with the internet sales and they wouldn't move on the price of the Pilot I wanted. That evening I got an alert that the vehicle I wanted dropped by almost 20%. I went down first thing the following morning and purchased the car, only to get a call two days later to tell me they had already sold it before they sold it to me!

Buying a car is never a particularly pleasant experience but this is the first truly unpleasant one I have had, and to walk away empty handed makes it even worse.

UPDATE - Management did reach out after this and spoke to me. They did make an attempt to right the issue, unfortunately it wasn't a solution that fit my needs at this time.

I went in for the CR/V AC recall, and they were very nice and helpful. It didn't take very long. I like the Customer Service area. The Morrissey Blvd location was easy to access. My custom service representative did a great job, I just had some coffee and snacks and read the paper and before I knew it he came over and told me it was all set. Glad I bought my car from them.

My experience at Herb Chambers was okay at first but exhausting and very disappointing by the end. If you are a female I would not advise you to go alone. I went and was talked into a car I was told I would need to settle for due to my credit. Unfortunately I went through with the deal but retracted it days later after finding a slightly better deal on the same car, that overall included everything I wanted unlike the car I was talked into, with less miles and an earlier version ON THE SAME EXACT SITE! Then was told that if I wanted to get a different car, then they would not be giving me the 2,000.00 they offered for my current vehicle which made me infuriated and resulted me totally looking elsewhere for a car... now as I search for a new vehicle, I stumble upon the car they once sold to me for 13,999 now priced at 11,800.. smh! I feel cheated!
