They're the most unorganized, uneducated, untrained, questionable people I've ever had to do business with. Even after we FINALLY got the car (over 2 weeks later), we had delays and problems. The salesman had to go to the DMV with us to register it and even the DMV employees got upset at their stupid *ss way of going about things. It took way longer than it was supposed to and they were missing many documents and signatures. Thankfully the DMV guy had experienced this with that specific branch before and knew how to get around it so he was able to help us out. But my god! Never again!
Mu was fine however; first car wasnt really in stock, the other car gets delayed a day to get paint touch ups yet I have to go get a NEW car inspected and get a copy back to them to get reimbursed! How about something for me doing your job for you.

I have leased two cars from Herb Chambers Honda (Boston) from Keith Banks-O'banor and have been pleased wtih my experience. From the beginning, I was pleased with the superior customer service from each of the departments, and more importantly my salesperson, Keith. He has always made me feel important as a customer, which is the reason I have always worked with him on my car leases. I truly appreciate the entire team at Herb Chambers Honda!

This was my first time going to Herb Chambers ever. I was there for an Oil change! The service was inexpensive, it was done in a timely manner and the staff were polite!
I went there to buy an Infiniti g37x that the Honda dealership had. I dealt with Hudson and he was able to talk me into a Honda Accord Coupe EX-L and I love it. I didn't even think a warranty was an option for me but now I'm fully covered through the dealership for the next 5 years I'm so thankful. Buying a used car I didn't think a warranty was even an option. They found me a lender, got a warranty, and a beautiful used car with 17,000 miles and I love it. I tell everyone Herb Chambers is your best bet period. They have the largest selection of different vehicles, it was almost overwhelming. Dealing with M. Denny(the finance manager) and Hudson(the salesman) I was in good hands the moment I walked through the door. Hell, they even had ice cream for free and a chidren's play area. Thank you Herb Chambers.
Unethical and predatory sales tactics designed to take advantage of uninformed customers, unhelpful salespeople only interested in making the sale without offering any real help and giving misleading information, appalling service at their servicing center and no real interest in making their customers happy despite superficial emails they send afterward asking to provide positive reviews online.
I bought a car from Herb Chamber Honda in Boston and was left very disappointed. In hindsight I should have left and not come back after my first visit.
The two different sales people I worked with both employed aggressive and unethical sales practices trying to take advantage of me multiple times by initially providing overblown fee and car prices. The first fee estimate was 4 times higher than normal and the first quotes for the models I was interested was 60% higher than the normal. The salesperson wasn t very helpful. He would flat out ignore my requested during the test drive to take the car on the highway and wasn t able to answer any of my questions about the car.
I sticked with them because I was well informed what the price should be so I was able to negotiate the price down, but while asking about financing I was mislead that I have to use their financing instead of using my bank (which now I know was a lie).
When I was finally ready to sign, the car color I wanted wasn t available anymore. I wanted to wait a week or two for the exact color, but the salesperson pressured me into buying the car that evening by saying that I can only get this deal if I get the car today. I though a different color would be fine, but I now I regret it.
The next disappointment happened when picking up the car. The car was damaged on the side with a visible dent and a part of the door poorly repainted with a color that didn t match exactly. This is something I feel like should have been caught by them immediately. It was fair of them to accept the fault and offer a free repair.
Repairing the car wasn t easy though. The first time I dropped it off, it sat at their parking lot the whole week. I called in and was told it was ready for pickup only to find out that it wasn t touched at all. I had to bring it in the second time, when they finally fixed the damage, but very sloppily, at which point I was tired of dealing with them and just decided it was good enough.
The customer service at their servicing center is appalling. I would have to call multiple times to find out the status of my car only to be told they would call back, which they would never do. After multiple calls I would finally get the information I needed.
They would ask for feedback and offer full customer satisfaction, but after contacting them the only response I would get is that they really can t do anything.
Working for a retailer who values customer satisfaction and loyalty above everything else I find they strategy puzzling and shortsighted, especially selling something as expensive as cars. In me, they have earned a strong detractor who will never do business with them again.
On an positive note, everyone I talked to was respectful and the general manager was very friendly, although completely uninterested in helping.
I really can't say enough good things about Herb Chambers Honda of Boston! It was a pleasure to work with Dana, Seyed and Kevin. Dana's prompt responses to emails made it so easy to work with a dealership 2 hours away. Seyed and Kevin made the whole buying process easy! Everyone was so accommodating and the whole process was efficient and easy, not something you find at most dealerships! I would highly recommend this Honda dealer to friends and family interested in purchasing a new car! I went in to get my oil changed and have my brakes inspected. I called the day before to schedule a time and was told to come in at 8. I came in, dropped my car off and was told I could then sit in the waiting room. I waited for a couple hours, they seemed busy and I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I asked how much longer it would be on my car and was told that they hadn't started because I only dropped the car off and didn't check in. I was irate and told the attendant that I was told to just sit in the back and wait. He kind of laughed it off, apologized, and said that happens a lot. I wasn't offered anything in return for my time. There was also a recall on my airbag that they took care of. But the airbag and oil change took over 5 hours. And every hour I went up and asked how much longer I was told about 5-10 minutes. They offered several services my car could use, but their prices were all double that of other quotes I received. I was astonished by how bad the customer service was here. I was beyond disappointed with all the good things I'd heard about this place. Needless to say, I won't be going back.
Love my service advisor Robert. If he tell you your car needs, it does.. friendly and nice person. I've been with him for more than 15 years.
When I went there with a scheduled appointment, the person who hosted me did not know why I was there or who I was at all, even though several people contacted me and made detailed phone and email exchanges.. The car I went there for was already sold that day and nobody bothered to call me and let me know (drove more than an hour in traffic). I am not even telling about the extended waiting times in between very simple things. The host perfectly executed disappearance acts. Then we started to discuss leasing suggestions to learn if they have any leasing special. My host told me that they need a soft credit pull for leasing suggestions (later I learned that it was completely unnecessary). I confirmed twice that it would be a soft pull. Yet, they did a hard pull and inquiries are showing on reports from all three credit bureaus. Those credit reports are not even looked at and our three minute discussion on leasing was enough for me to decide not to go ahead with leasing. I can forgive the other things but unnecessary hard pull on a credit report is not a good practice.

The customer service is always excellent. In my 2 visits to the new location I have been helped by Nick Tarquini who is absolutely awesome. I understand the reasons for the move, but the old location was much more convenient. That is my only complaint.
Nick Tarquini was very sensitive to my wishes to be on the road before 8:30 am to work up in South Boston. He got me out the door with a great price with two brand new keys for my 2000 Honda Accord. Great guy, very friendly. Love the waiting area, as well!
First of all: do not copypaste the address into Uber/Lyft or it will bring you to the wrong place in Newton. Not their fault though.
Was there for shopping used cars. Lots of waiting, then we drive to a "warehouse" and looked at the cars.
Now the cars themselves: even if a car is "freshly listed" on CarGurus or similar, it clearly can have been sitting there for months. All cars I looked at needed a jump start, and once the car they wanted to jump it with had a dead battery too. Felt like a bad comedy show. One car also had clearly defective backing sensors (permanently beeping the same way regardless of distance) and a badly set clock, telling more about how long the car must have been standing there and how well it has been cared for. Generally the cars had lots of scratches and a few dents, so quite subpar for the range of miles and age I was looking for.
I have reported this company to the FTC and the Massachusetts Attorney General for violations of the CAN-SPAM act. I have requested they remove my email from their database multiple times and they still send unwanted email. I don't even have a business relationship with this company - they apparently got my email from someone who gave them the wrong information.
I have been a customer of Herb Chambers for 7 years now and have never had a pleasant experience in the Honda Boston dealership. I had a very terrible experience with the sales team here, constantly trying to squeeze whatever they could out of my bank account and playing me as an idiot the whole time. This past experience will make it so I never shop there again. I was looking to lease a new car, as I had done for the past 6 years, and finally came to an agreement on a monthly payment. I was told I would be getting a white, HR-V with sport trim and it would be able to drive 2 days after I purchased the vehicle. 2 days turned to a week of minimal communication and no answers. I was finally told that the vehicle I had signed for and did all the paperwork for was not a couple towns away, like they had said, but held up at the Mexican border and that it would take an additional 2 weeks to arrive. So I decided to get a different color, even though that is not the car I wanted. They did nothing to accommodate or make up for the lie they sold me, and had me drive an hour to their new location in Dorchester, which is not a nice dealership. I sat there for another 2 and a half hours as they got together paperwork they said was all set and were not apologetic nor did they do anything to ease the inconvenience of the past week and the unplanned trip. On top of that, the car was not inspected, I had no physical registration and couldn t contact my insurance to get rates as a result. I was told to go out and get it inspected, and request a refund for the inspection they had already charged me for in my paperwork. So now on my time this week, I have to call insurance companies, get my car inspected, wait for a refund and print out my own registration form. This place is a joke and they treat people poorly. Do not buy from here.

I just want to give praise to Joshua Anduar for taking his time and giving me the best customer service. He helped me through the whole process and made me feel at ease with my purchase. He made me feel like I was the only customer in the store and sat with me and waited through the whole purchase. When I went to pick up the car he had everything alset for me when I arrived. After leaving Herb Chamber with the biggest smile on my face i was extremely satisfied with the type of service i received. Our salesman Victor was helpful and very clear on every detail of the sale. He was very approachable and professional, so my finical advisor and I thought he was the right man to do business. Victor has probably one of the greatest people skills i've ever experience, he made us feeling so comfortable and got us what we need it. I have to admit..I am a very difficult person. I want what I want and thats,that!! I went into herb chambers and met with a sales person by the name of Jeff Ford. He sat me down and ask me the basic questions and went right to work. I only wanted two cars and I knew exactly what I wanted to pay. He went online and pulled up a few cars. Me being the difficult person I am said NO to eveything.
I left that day and didnt think nothing about it. In the meantime Jeff kept in touch. One week later he had me test drive a car that I liked but there were issues with the bank. So I went home and Jeff still kept in contact. A week and a half later he called me and had the exact vechile that I wanted. I went in and test drove the car and fell in love with it.
But heres the good part...I thought I would have alot of paper work to do so I told Jeff I would come back because I had to go back to work. Jeff had already prepared everthing including the approval from the bank!! I couldn't believe it. I did not have to do one thing.
Further I explained to Jeff that I was going out of town in three days and would need the car. He had the vechile delivered to my job in three days!!! I never experence no type of customer service like that in my life.
He has everything a successful salesperson should have and that is patience and knowledge. I highly recommend Jeff ford to anyone! I love my new car and he did a excellent job! Thank You Jeff for my Lexus RX 350...Your favorite customer

So, after concluding the purchase of a used car for my father-in-law, I decided to write this review. We were looking for as current an Accord as we could afford, with low miles and best safety features. Happily, we found a 2014 listed online, and made an appointment to see it the following morning through email. There were minor blemishes, which they agreed to adjust at no charge. Finance was excellent, pointing out the various options no pressure whatsoever. Ultimately, my father-in-law is very happy with the new vehicle, which is a big change up from their 17 year old Accord. There was another minor issue which we needed to have adjusted, and we had no problem making an appointment with the service bay. I called my father-in-law to check in to see how he made out, and he was very pleased; they run a very professional operation, he said. Fantastic! Mr. Surdis epitomizes excellent customer service.

I had a very bad experience with them. They pre-approved me for financing. I went all the way from Vermont to Boston to test drive a couple of cars. After I decided to buy one car, they couldn't arrange financing for me. They should have let me know about that before pre-approving me. Meanwhile, I managed financing on my own. But, when I called them they said they have already sold the car. They should have told me that I have to pay a deposit to keep the car for me. Then they tried to sell me another car that is more expensive. Overall, it was a horrible experience for me.
Randomly walked in to the dealer not knowing we were going to buy one. We met with Patrick Comerford, sales consultant. Our car buying experience was easier than McDonald. Thank you pat.
From the time of my vehicle purchase I had encountered too many problems and that was from sales to service! HOWEVER, on the day I came for service I was finally blessed! I got Fred Fox as my service representative. He had no idea I was there the day before and had encountered yet another problem and spoken to management. But Mr. Frederick Fox III. was different in so many ways, respectful, courteous, kind, listened, thoughtful and just knew his job and service. He even took the time to go online and explained and showed me how the engine works. All this because I mentioned I didn't know how a specific button in my car works (related to torque?). Overall, Mr. Fox was just simply AMAZING! I got the feeling he was just genuine and confident in his position and knows his field. He should be selected to train/re-train his peers and new comers. Thank you Mr. Fox for my first great experience at Herb Chambers Honda. I might indeed return but will be waiting for Mr. Fox to be available :-)

Unfortunately I' am an unhappy customer. On January 15, I purchased a 2015 certified Honda CR-V. When I purchased my new Honda CRV, on purchase contract some items like MA State Inspection and state Registration fee ( $35 + $130) wanted me to pay to the Herb Chambers. I told them I m living in Goffstown, NH, I will make inspect and registration in my state, Why do I need to pay these amounts? They told me both sales manager and other manager " You pay us and we will pay them to the City Office and DMV on behalf of you with our checks when delivering the vehicle to you.
On the delivery day sales agent, T. and one more guy, came to my town and we met at city hall. At the office when the clerk asked the registration fee sales agent told me that there was a misunderstanding about it so, we won t pay that fee because we are not in MA.
So, I pay the registration fee and as well the inspection fee.
Although I have asked several times to make sure will Honda Herb Chambers pay the Inspection and Registration fee and Although I get as the answer Yes you pay us and we pay them Unfortunately, I pay both Honda Herb Chambers and City hall and Inspection Mechanic those fees.
In this case I really wonder does Honda Herb Chambers think that they deserve $165 by lying to me? Despite I asked that question to many times by mail , nobody answered my questions.
Last week Nick Surdis, General Manager of Herb Chambers Honda in Boston sent me an e-mail and asked me to write a positive review on Google about their business. I write him about the problem but the same result; no answer and no solution.
On the other hand despite they promise me to mail the second key, unfortunately there is no 2nd key of the car still.

I am truly amazed by how awesome this place was. The other reviews had me very hesitant because I really do not like wasting time or rude customer service. I was lucky enough to get a sales person named SCOTTY SANTOS. Can I just say he was the best salesperson I've ever met in my life!
I entered the Herb Chambers mid-way into another lease deal with another dealer. I went in to see if I could qualify for a deal that HC was offering. Sadly, my credit was too low so I wasn't eligible. BUT Scotty came through! Not only did he and another great finance guy (Sosa!) get me a great deal, they really took time to teach me things that I never would have known. He did not pressure me but merely gave me information, beyond the prices, that I should know before getting into any auto contract. I am a young recent college grad and I no clue what I was doing. The other dealer certainly took advantage. But Scotty and Sosa really took their time to go through my options, help me consider all costs and fees that most dealers neglect to tell you, and got me lower than I anticipated.I learned so much about car leasing and buying that will end up saving me money for years to come.
Whether you are new to the idea of car buying or know exactly what you want, ask for Scotty! I could go on and on about the amazing service he gave but I will just pass on my experience in hopes that someone else can benefit. Good luck, do your research, and ask questions! They will be patient and help :)

I was very pleased with the timely quick service. I had a some sort of bolt stuck in my tire which as making the vehicle wobble as I drove. Come to find out the bolt/nail did not penetrate the tire yeah me! The best part of my service was Honda did not charge me for the removal of the bolt or for the service time. Thank you Honda!!

Great customer service. The person who assisted us for the service was Tony. My car's engine light has been going on and off. so it raised a lot of concerns for us. He is a true professional. I cannot say enough good things about him. He cares about the people he serves and the organization he represents. He is kind to the people that work with him. He is quick, efficient and has excellent follow-up skills. Most importantly, he was there to quickly coordinate and provide the services I needed. Eric gently guided me through purchase process without a hitch. He was never pushy. He listened. He answered all my questions. There were no surprises. It was truly a pleasure to work with Eric Poulson. Eric Poulson is yet another reason I remain a loyal Herb Chambers customer.
Hope phone service is not typical
I called inquiring about the Accord Plugin Hybrid, got put on hold (or cut off). Called back and after much ringing, circled back to operator who said (I don't believe it) and tried again. Finally got a sales rep to whom I posed the question -- he wanted my name.-- then after more waiting, replied that they were not expecting any -- this year? No.

False advertising mailers sent to my house for credit approval. It was a lie- I was not approved Told me I needed $5k down they didn t even let me DRIVE a car MUST do finance app first very aggressive. The place is a mess unprofessional and not like their competitors who got me a new Honda with ZERO DOWN.

After having the same car for 15 years, the time had come to buy a new one ...after researching such great reviews on Honda, I decided I would test drive a few models.
I went to Herb Chambers Honda in Boston and when I walked in the door I was greeted by a very pleasant gentleman by the name of Doug Fowler.
From the get-go Doug was simply a pleasure to deal with ...he was very respectful, always pleasant and smiling and I felt very comfortable dealing with him.
I decided on the CRV and when the dealership was locating the CRV I wanted, Doug kept me up to date and informed every step of the way through the purchasing process, just as he said he would ...he gained my trust and I feel he answered all my questions honestly.
Doug made a potentially dreadful/intimidating experience, absolutely great!!!
If I hear of someone looking for a Honda, I would send them directly to Doug!!!

I purchased a 2015 Pilot EX-L from Herm Chambers Boston back in August. Thomas Ayers was my Sales Rep and he was absolutely fantastic. He showed me the exact car that I found on CarGurus and was great during the test drive. He was knowledgeable, personable, and not pushy at all. He was easy to work with and I couldn't have been happier with the car shopping / buying experience. There was a small chip in the windshield that neither of us had noticed during the walk around of the vehicle but Herb Chambers was more than happy to fix it for me free of charge, despite the fact that it wasn't technically covered in the warranty and they had no way of knowing when it had happened.
All around amazing service, prices, and buying process. Hopefully this car lasts me a while (it's a Honda so it should) but when it quits on me or it's time to trade up, you can bet I'll be back to Herb Chambers Boston! Thank you!

I recently leased my first car with Herb Chambers Boston Honda. I was fortunate enough to have Saurav Sherchan worked with me. It was a pleasant experience. I did not feel pressured or rushed at all throughout the process. Saurav even suggested a better insurance company to me when I told him how much I would be paying to insure my car. Overall this was a wonderful experience and I was treated well and not just as another sale. Its good to know that customer service actually still exist!
My salesman was a nice gentleman (Mu) and he had substantial knowledge about the vehicle. I could tell he knew what he was talking about. Overall a great experience and I walked out the same day with a new car.
Herb Chambers Honda of Boston damaged my bumper while doing an oil change and didn t mention anything about it until I noticed it myself.
I showed up to a 7:30 am appointment for an oil change. Two hours later (quite a while for an oil change) I got my car back, and when I got out of the car at home (less than 10 minutes after picking it up), I noticed a sizeable scratch on the front bumper which was not there before my appointment. When I mentioned it to the service manager, Susan Tarquini, she offered to look through their security video for evidence and get back to me before the end of the day. Despite repeated calls and an email, I only heard from her once over the next three days, and she finally agreed for me to come in so we could review the security video together. Arriving at our agreed upon time, I then still had to wait another 45 minutes to meet with her.
In the recording from their security cameras, Susan showed my car being taken from where I parked it, up a ramp to their car wash. At this point, she claimed - and repeatedly insisted - that the damage was already visible in the security camera shot. In reality, the actual area that was damaged was completely different from the area she was pointing out in the video. In fact, I later demonstrated this to her by directly overlaying a high quality image of the damaged area on top of the security camera screenshot where she claimed the damage was visible; this showed that the area she was pointing to in the security screenshot was nowhere near the actual damage, but simply a spot of dirt.
After repeatedly insisting (incorrectly) that the damage was already present when the car was taken in for service, the service manager continued to show me video of the car exiting their car wash and going back down the same ramp. She stopped the video there. When I asked to continue playing the tape so that I could see what happened when the car went into their garage for the actual oil change, she very abruptly refused and just repeated that the car was not damaged going up and down the car wash ramp, which must mean that it was not damaged while in their care.
The (A) insistence that the damage was already visible in the security video prior to the service (which I disproved) and (B) refusal to show the rest of the security footage from the car entering their garage (something that would have taken only a few more minutes beyond what we had already reviewed) leaves me very suspicious about the whole experience.
Going to give American Honda a call and try and get this corrected as the car is not even a year old at this point. There may be some good people who work at Herb Chambers, but the neglect to mention damage to a customer's car, telling me I already had the damage there when there was none visible in the security video, and refusing to show the entirety of their security video certainly speaks to the overall operating mindset of the place. Very disappointed.
Went there a purchased a new, 2014 Honda Accord in January. My salesman was Dustin Rocha, who was friendly and fair throughout the entire process, and made it easy to get through everything and receive my new car - which is excellent, and has had no problems whatsoever. I would recommend him for any other prospective buyers.

I recently had a very negative experience with Herb Chambers Honda of Boston. I found a car I like online contacted the dealer and set up an appointment to test drive the car. This dealership is about 30 mins from the residence and they were well aware I needed to travel a fair distance to get there. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that the person I had been communicating with would come out and greet me. Instead I was greeted 20 mins after my original appointment time by someone I never had communicated with and was informed that the car had just been sold moments before I walked in the door. I feel as though I was lured there under false pretenses as they tried to sell me other cars way over my budget. Also, the person I have been dealing with is now not responding to my emails. I would not recommend this dealership, it seems as they are playing a classic bait and switch game beware when dealing with this dealership.
They made a clerical mistake and it costed me a hefty interest rate.
We bought a CRV here back in October. The buying process was okay, our saleperson Keith was straight to the point. We appreciated that, there was no annoying back and forth between us, him and the general manager. We received an acceptable offer. The reason why I'm giving a 1 star is for their finance department. These people have made a clerical mistake on my credit score and it has costed me a lot of money that overall, our "acceptable offer" becomes UNACCEPTABLE. The person that helped us (Larcell) ran my credit score and told me that I have none, which is unbelievable because I have credit cards and student loans. I constantly keep track of my credit score and I know that it is excellent. Larcell assured me that there is no mistake and explained that it must be because I never had any auto loan. I still didn't believe him and so he showed me his computer screen (which included many other customers name and credit information too) and how mine said 0. Anyway, still in disbelief I had to have my mom cosign for me. Even though her score was in the 800s, I had to pay a hefty interest rate because I had no credit score. I keep calling back because I knew something wasn't right. I spoke to another finance person, the general manager, american honda finance and to Larcell again but I kept getting dismissed.
FAST forward to January, I haven't received any notification from all the credit bureau that I made an inquiry, nor did I opened any new account, though on my mom's report it showed. Strange right? Finally decided to call American Honda Finance again and after they couldn't find my account through my social security, they realized that they made an error on my social security number!!!!!!!
After many calls to Herb Chambers in Boston and feeling crazy about this whole unfortunate situation, getting dismissed by all these men, paying such a high interest, I am really upset. Not a single time did anyone offered to help. I feel robbed and this caused a lot of stress. I will never step back to this establishment again until I hear an apology.
I got my first car from Herb Chambers Honda Boston. The entire team provided excellent service and made sure that I was happy with my purchase. Gerson Ruiz was an extremely helpful sales consultant - great listener, excellent communicator and patient during our decision making process. He definitely cares about his client's needs and works hard to meet them. I never felt pressured into making a decision. Overall, I really appreciate the team, especially Gerson for helping me purchase the perfect car for me at the price point I was comfortable with. Thanks Gerson! Robert is a really helpful and responsible service consultant. Even though I had a lot of trouble with my Honda on service/registration recently and went to the dealership totally 5 times for the last month, and feel quite disappointed in the beginning, but Robert's friendly and responsible make all this gone finally.
I have leased four Hondas in the past and this was by far the best experience I have had. Alex Yanovsky helped me through every step of the process. He was hugely helpful and really fought to get us a good price. I even had the pleasure of meeting with the general manager, Errol Gaudette, who was just as great as Alex. Both were very knowledgeable and seemed to make a great team. They saved us from all the hassles of leasing a car. In three years, you can be sure that I will be coming back only to them. I truly appreciated their continuous effort, all the way till I finally drove the car off the lot. It was an overall great experience. I give them five stars!
