Dropped off my car for a recall. Only 3 months since I purchased car at this dealer. Service valet attendant was very helpful. Service worker took information and asked if I needed to be dropped off. I told him I planned on staying and he told me that there was two recalls and it would probably be a couple of hours. I told him
I would just drop the car off and he states that he would try and have it worked on quickly and call wilt a update. He did call 2 hours later and told me that he had two technicians working in car and it would be ready within the hour. Pleasant helpful and attentive employees at a car dealer wasn t what I was expecting. Would recommend this car dealers service department to anyone

On March 21, I signed a contract with Herb Chamber...

On March 21, I signed a contract with Herb Chambers. On March 22, I canceled the contract. They returned back money but did not inform the bank about the cancellation of the contract. On April 4 I found I have a loan that was not canceled. I called Herb Chambers and visited the dealership twice in person. Today, April 11, I called the bank again and the loan officer said he did not know about the cancellation of the contract. It appears no one has taken care of informing the bank and the financial department has not done its job. It is very unprofessional and unacceptable for a company that calls itself the best car dealer in New England. Now I have no idea what I can do to fix the problem. In my opinion, three weeks is more than enough time for the cancellation. I do not know what their financial department is doing but they do not care about the client's care. I do not think I'll come back to buy another car.

Just bought a 2012 CRV this weekend and had a great experience. We were helped by the affable and professional Patrick Comerford, who really went above and beyond in customer service. Not only did Patrick work with us on an agreeable pricing package, but he even ran out in the rain to add coins to our meter when we were in final negotiations with their finance manager. After the sale, we had to wait until the following Monday for the RMV to open before we could take our car home. During that time, Patrick made sure our car had been detailed, checked up with the maintenance crew, and when it was discovered that there was a key missing from the set, he arranged for a new key to be cut and programed in the car. I also appreciate that he gave me his cell phone number so that I could check in to make sure the car was finished before I packed up my family to pick it up. Lastly, I had the pleasure of meeting Victor who was training under Patrick. Victor too was very friendly and I very much enjoyed talking to him while Patrick was getting our paperwork together - I'm sure he'll make a great salesperson. Overall my family had as good of experience as one could hope - and if you have a little one, don't miss out on the ice cream sandwiches they have in their freezer - it came in super handy. Also, be sure to make an appointment as they have to drive their cars in from the garage as space is tight given that the center is located in the city.

I was recently in the market for a car. I knew what brand I wanted, but I was not sure who to get it from. However, I knew I did not want to go through a small dealership. Having done my research, Herb Chambers was the best. So, I went to them to purchase my first car. Finding a great company is one thing, but finding a great person (salesman) within that company is something else. I believe I got lucky with my salesman, Hudson. I felt he went beyond his obligations to make sure I was satisfied. Although, I did not get the exact car (2014-15 CR-V) I wanted due to my financial, but he made sure I got something that was almost as great (2012 Accord). Hudson also made sure I understood why he though it was best for me not to get the CR-V and to consider the Accord. I feel like most salesmen would have let me get the CR-V knowing I would have not been able to maintain it. Their attitude probably would be something like this: sale it to him, make some money of him, and then the car is going to come back to us. Not saying that would have been the case with another salesman. My friend told me a story when he bought his car through a small dealership, and it sounded that way. When he went to return it they gave him attitude.

Other than talking about the car, Hudson customer service was 10/10 MAX Also, at that time I was looking for auto insurance, and he took time out of his schedule to bring me to an agency. After, he gave me a ride to work because my friend had to leave early for work. A few days later my car was ready, and I was not able to pick it up. He dropped it off to me at my job. Then, he came back again to drop off my spare tire.

On his day off, it was nighttime (roughly 10:30pm); I was having an issue with the car. I text him, not expecting any responds. 2 minutes later he calls me and assists me via phone.

From the beginning, he dealt with me as if we were friends, and removed any doubts from my head. I believe that is powerful; that is how customer service should be.

There s never been a moment of disappointment whenever I take my car to Herb Chambers of Boston. My car drives, and feels like it s brand new all over again. I ve been a loyal customer since 2012, and I don t see myself going anywhere other than HC. DJ was the personnel whom helped me throughout the entire process. He was very professional, and kept me up to speed about my car. He was very detailed, and spoke to me about my options, and how to proceed. It was a pleasure speaking to him, and he made me feel at ease. When the car was ready for pick up, he reached out, He s a great asset to your company.

Jose was a great salesman that listened and advised. At no point did I really feel pressured to buy a vehicle and when the original vehicle I came in to look at was not fitting with the numbers I wanted he showed me a car based on things I had told him I had not seen but liked better and was a much better fit. The whole experience was calm and relaxing and rather than show panic when things didn't look like they were working out he simply talked and listened to resolve the issue. I would highly recommend Jose and will be using him in the future

I would like to commend salesperson Erik Moran for his professionalism, attentiveness & hospitable attitude. I came into the dealership today to have the oil changed in my Civic, and Erik immediately approached and asked if there was anything else that I needed. Well, one thing led to another, and I was able to upgrade my 2012 Civic to a 2015 Accord with little to no effort at all. With the help of the General Manager, the deal was completed quickly and efficiently. I was very happy with my experience, and will be sure to use this dealership in the future for service, leases or purchases. I have used this dealership in the past, and do not have anything negative to say about it. The appearance has always been neat and tidy, everyone is welcoming and nice, and they have always been true to their word. I look forward to many more Herb Chambers Honda experiences.

When I returned the total was almost exactly the same as the estimate. Tereza also explained the charges and gave me information regarding up coming service milestones, the condition of the brakes and tires and the likely time frame that I would need to repair or replace these.

Even tho the wait was longer than what I went in thinking, he made sure to tell me at check in how long and apologized. The actual salesperson (Patrick) was the only good thing about our experience. When we went to do paperwork in the finance department it was a dragged out, time consuming clusterf**k, and within a week of buying our used vehicle the brakes had to be replaced (pads were worn out). I sent two separate emails regarding my unhappiness about the brakes and never received a reply back. I used to work for Herb Chambers and had a lot of trust in making my purchase without bringing it to my shop for an inspection- apparently that trust was a mistake.

Victor Olivares helped us find just the right family car quickly. His good sense of humor, knowledge and courteousness made him a pleasure to work with. He was able to help us out a little by negotiating the price of our trade in, which was appreciated. He made sure the service department had our new car ready to go on time. He was a good communicator and returned all phone calls promptly if he couldn't pick up when we called. Having his personal cell phone number made it easier to get in touch with him. He was also very sweet and patient with our fussy newborn, who we had to bring along to the dealership. We would consider working with Victor again and may buy a second car we need through him.

I would just like to say that I visited Herb Chambers Honda and had a very nice experience. First the receptionist greeted me with a friendly smile and then was greeted by salesman Stacy Johnson. I have done business with Stacy at another dealer and was so glad to see him at Herb Chambers.
Stacy exemplifies what a good salesperson should be. He is knowledgeable of the Honda cars he is selling and was very soft spoken and not pushy. Along with the dealership Stacy gets an A+ recommendation.

I've never felt so disrespected in my life! I came into this location with two goals in mind - 1) to learn more about leasing and financing options, and 2) to see which option would be most fitting for someone in my current situation (i.e. recent Bentley University graduate, expecting to start work next month at State Street). Initially, my uncle and I were greeted in by a sales and leasing consultant. Subsequently, we were welcomed to his desk to chat some more. What followed thereafter, however, was a series of subtle, stereotypical assumptions about Hispanic people and inaccurate information. For example, when discussing financing a car, the consultant mentioned how it would be difficult for someone with lack of credit to finance a car on his own (which was understandable given that banks are reluctant to lend to those with little to no credit history). Where things fell apart for me was when the consultant said, "I don't care how you pay for the car. I don't care if you sell drugs." Yeah, that's definitely something you want to say to a potential customer. To make matters worse, when I mentioned that I had not yet started work, he proceeded to say "the conversation ends here," as if there were no other alternatives (maybe I could afford to make a sizable down payment). In the end, although we were able to get his business card, that proved to be worthless. My overall experience at this Herb Chambers Honda location can be summed up in one word - forgetful.

Upon arrival I was greeted promptly by Gerry in valet followed by Nick in service. My vehicle had a flat tire and because it's a run flat tire we had to get it ordered. Nick was able to get tire ordered and installed on my vehicle in under a hour time. I had a great experience! Patrick Comerford treated me with the utmost professionalism and made the whole process simple and effortless for me. He brought the car to me to look at and drive. A 2014 Honda CRV, it had been a two year lease with low miles which is most important to me. The car looked very nice and very clean. I had to expect it may not look spanking brand new as "leasors" tend not to treat something they don't own carefully, but all was perfectly acceptable with the exception of two pretty significant scratches. Patrick worked diligently with their shop to thoroughly repair what I was concerned about. One week later exactly, I purchased it. Their efforts in making the repair was so good, I couldn't even recall where exactly they were when I first noticed them. They stopped at nothing to make sure I was completely satisfied. I thought I'd have a tough time getting used to a vehicle this size being a long time full size SUV driver, but this handles really great and you simply can't beat Honda's stellar reputation of safety and reliability. I am very happy with the choice I made and appreciate the service I received from Patrick and Herb Chambers of Boston. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Honda.

I recently bought a Honda Accord at Herb Chambers Honda Boston and my experience was fantastic. Ask for Q who is a sales representative and he amazing!!!!!! He very professional, knowledgeable and works VERY HARD to much sure you are satisfied with the car you want. Q was fun to talk with, educated and respectful. If it weren't for Q, I wouldn't have bought my car. Often times car salesman can be aggressive to indicate one car is better than another car, which feels like they're forcing a decision on you. while not letting the customer decide for themselves what's best for them. Q did none of that. He listened to my needs and was very honest about features and so much more. This was my first experience buying a car on my own and I was very nervous at first. But Q made me very comfortable. Q wants to get to know his customer(s) and as a customer, you would want to get to know him as well. :) I strongly recommend Q from Herb Chambers Honda in Boston.

I went there last summer looking to lease a hybrid. I was hoping to get the Accord and willing to look at the Civic. I did all my research and knew exactly what I wanted and what I could afford. I work for a ride share company, I don't have a large income and am very restricted in what I can spend. I owned my old car out right. The problem was that it was a gas guzzler and prices were high last year so, as I drive for a living, you can imagine what I was paying! I figured out that if the difference in gas price was equal or more than what I could pay for a lease, I would get the car. I explained all of this to them. They were very helpful at first. But when it became clear to me that we couldn't reach a deal that was going to work for me, I got up to leave, thanking them. They kept talking. Long story short - I kept trying to leave - at least 4 times. They took advantage of the fact that I am too nice a person to turn my back in the middle of a conversation. They wouldn't let me end the conversation. I explained exactly what my circumstances were - how much of a hardship it would be to spend past a certain amount a month on my car - monthly payment for the lease, insurance, gas - but they didn't care. They kept me there for over 5 hours. I really tried to leave. Yes, I should have been able to walk out but they are trained in this sort of thing. They saw the word "SUCKER" right across my forehead. In the end they wore me down. I got a natural gas car, not a hybrid, and spending $50 more a month than was feasible for me. PLUS the car was supposed to get 40 mpg on the highway and 30 mpg in the city - combined it should be 35. I'm lucky if it's 26. So I gas was impossible for me last year. Thank goodness it has come down but it's going back up and I'm scared for what is to come. When this lease is over I am NEVER going back there and I will tell anyone I know who is looking for a car not to go there, either.

As a first time car buyer, I was pretty anxious about going into dealerships and asking to test drive vehicles that I was interested in. I knew I wanted a 2018 Honda Fit EX, so I did my due diligence and chose Herb Chambers as the first place to go. Other members of my family had purchased vehicles from two other Herb Chambers dealerships and had very good things to say about their sales and service departments. I reached out via email and was immediately connected with Fabian Garcia. We scheduled a date and time and when I arrived I was paired with Brian McCaffrey. He asked me some questions about what I was looking for and after some merry mixups with the test drive car, we took a spin in 2018 Fit EX in my preferred color. After we got back, I made it clear to Brian that I was just in for a test drive and would be back later to buy the car. He was very understanding and did not pressure me at all or try to upsell me on a higher trim level that I did not want.

When I came back two days later, I had done some research on competitor pricing and had a great e-price from another dealership in town. When I produced the competing offer and asked Brian if he could match it, he did with no haggling or guilt trips. Afterwards he brought me to the financing department where Myles walked me through the options I had. He politely and objectively presented add-ons such as ding and scratch protection as well as an extended warranty. When I said that I was all set with just the car and regular warranty, he moved on and did not pressure me at all. The billing was very straightforward and Myles was happy to explain any part of the contract or invoice that I didn't understand. He was also very patient while I read each section in detail before signing. While the paperwork got a little tedious, Myles made the process very smooth.

When I came back in a few days to pick up the car, one of the associates went over every feature in depth with me and answered all of my questions. My plates were transferred and I was on my way with no trouble. Every stage of the buying experience was smooth and no-pressure and I will definitely go back to Herb Chambers for service and the next time that I need a car.

I had an excellent experience working with Steve Roach of Herb Chambers Honda of Boston. From my initial phone contact on a Sunday morning with Adajee to my meeting that same afternoon with Steve, I was impressed with the manner in which they provided the information in a helpful, no pressure manner. Believing that I was merely going to Honda to test drive and rule out the CRV in favor of another car brand, experiencing the car completely changed my mind and I ended up signing a deal that same day for a brand new Honda CRV. Herb Chambers Boston (Dorchester) does nothing to improve the reputation of used car sales. Not only will you never find out the actual value of the car you're trying to buy, the staff doesn't have much of a clue either. I made a counter offer to the sticker price and sales manager told me to take a walk. No discussion, no negotiation - what they call SMART pricing, which translates as Don t even ask. So I'll buy elsewhere and definitely not at a Herb Chambers dealership. I ve owned Honda s since the 1970s but no more. God knows there are plenty of other dealerships to choose from, maybe there s an honest one out there, and it wouldn't take much to find better one that Herb Chambers Dorchester. Don't say I didn't warn you. Avoid.

Bought a certified used Honda from them. I will not be giving them future business for several reasons.

1. While in the process of signing the purchase and sale the employee tried to sell me LoJack. I declined. He pushed me again to get it "because Hondas are stolen often", he said. I told him not interested. When I went to sign the purchase agreement I noticed had a LoJack fee on it. I stated I didn't want LoJack and he said "We'll I think you should really reconsider.". At that point I almost walked out, but I didn't.

2. After driving my "certified" honda home I though it felt a bit jolty. I brought it back in to the shop and they said it was fine. I put up with the joltyness for a year. I went to another shop to get my brakes changed and they told me my engine mount was broken and the engine was moving around. Once they repair the engine mount ($600), the jolting feeling went away. Herb Chambers sold me a certified Honda with a broken engine mount..

Currently owning a 2016 Honda with only 1500 miles in the past year, I have not had much need for service at Honda of Boston, but the few business interactions so far have been pleasantly and completely professional. Having had many years of experience with Herb Chambers BMW of Boston, I would not expect anything less from Herb Chambers Honda of Boston.
