Just got a terrific Honda Pilot and the professionalism and courtesy of Victor Olivares were outstanding. He made the experience of buying a car (which I usually hate) a fine and easy process. If you do choose to go with Herb Chambers Boston (which I also recommend in general), I particularly recommend getting Victor as your sales associate.

I am so tired of shady car dealers trying to screw...

I am so tired of shady car dealers trying to screw customers. Herb Chambers lured me over with promises of a low monthly lease at $88/month and $3500 down. It wasn t a great deal but I was in a bind. When I arrived they added another $1399 in taxes and fees. I signed the paperwork and was prepared to go with it until the original dealership I d been working with lured me back with an offer too good to pass up. I never picked up the car and was within my rights as a consumer to back out of the deal. That was the end of May 2019. It s July. After several calls and texts I got my credit card charge reversed, but they have still not reimbursed me for my $1399.00 deposit and have not closed my lease agreement with Honda Financial. If you re thinking of buying a car from Herb Chambers- RUN in the other direction! They are a complete rip off organization.

A friend referred me to Herb Chamber Boston to talk to a specific salesman, Keith Banks-Obanor for a purchase of a new 2013 Honda Accord, EX-L V6 with Navigation. My experience of this purchase was smooth as I expected, especially with a trade- in of my Mercedes Benz. The location is closer to my house which I liked the most. The staffs are friendly and professional at what they do. Keith fulfilled my wishes without a hiccup. He knows what I was looking for and understands satisfying the customer is a number one priority but of course they still have to be a profitable company at the same time. I got the prices that I wanted for my trade-in and the sale price of the new Honda. There were just smiles on our face and it only took a little above 3 hours for the purchase and trade-in transactions.

A several months later, I ve referred my sister to meet Keith for a similar type of transactions. This time my sister got 2014 Honda Accord, EX-L with Navigation and traded in her Nissan Altima. Again, Keith also fulfilled my sister s wishes.

We researched the vehicle we hoped to find...the Honda Odyssey.... and we found a great used one at Herb Chambers Honda Boston. Well, were we lucky to get Eric Poulson! He put us at ease right away, as we are "financially challenged" as they say! He was able to come up with more than one offer to accomodate us, and he was patient and kind. We appreciated that soooo much! Thank you Eric. I have to also mention Dwayne,,,the gentleman who explained the warranty program over, and over(especially for my husband) to us and was also extremely patient, thorough and kind. I met Herb Chambers himself at Ostra restaurant in Boston. I valet'd his mclaren 650S and told him I really needed a car, but I'm young and dont have a long credit hisory. He contacted the general manager at Honda and made it happen. I did not get the car I wanted but I still got a great car. And for that I am forever grateful. I'm writing to tell how what a superb job Teresa always does. I brought my Honda to get an oil change this morning, and she saw to everything, efficiently with warmth.My eyes lit up when I saw her in Service because she had been gone for a while. Teresa is the best service person I have ever run into at any car dealer I've worked with. Trust me, she hasn't paid me to say this. This is simply how I feel.

A big black mark for Herb Chamber Honda is the salesman who sold me a new Civic Hybrid in 2008 never told me how outrageously expensive a new battery is. Had I known, I'd have bought a plain Civic. Whenever I need a new battery, I'm going to get whacked by the astonishing price for a new one. I fel cheated.

The oil change was very good this time on the Honda Element. Most dealerships do not clean up the oil on the cross bar when removing the oil filter. The tech who did this oil&filter change took the time to clean...so no oil drips in the driveway this time.
The move to the new location is far compared to Comm Ave but worth the time because of the attention to detail to cleaning after the oil & filter change.

This was my first car buying experience and and went very smoothly and quickly,
I got to the dealership with the intention of buying a used car. After not loving a few of the options within my price range, salesman DeWayne suggested leasing a new car. He was very helpful with, and knowledgeable about, the options of the lease and we picked the model, price, mileage, etc. that made the most sense for me to go with. After a test drive of a new Honda Civic, I knew that leasing was the way to go.
I am very pleased with my experience at Herb Chambers Honda and will routinely return for service and suggest it to my friends.

After visiting the Herb Chambers in Burlington, I was so impressed by the customer service and I made up my mind that my vehicle purchase would be from Herb Chambers. The vehicles I was interested in, however, were at others Herb Chamber locations.

Boston was the one closest to home, and I found the SUV I wanted! When it came to signing, I was told they did not have the title for the vehicle and I would have to wait a few days. I never got any updates, and after I called back a few times I was told it arrived and I went in to sign the contract. All the papers were signed and I was told my car would be inspected and registered the next day.

Once again I got no updates from Patrick, my sales representative.
When I called to inquire, they told me he had the day off. When I told them I was thinking about changing my mind, Patrick called me and told me he was working on it. He calls me back and tells me they were waiting on the funding from the financing institution and I wouldn't get the vehicle until next week. When I called the financing institution, they told me they were waiting for Herb Chambers to forward them the contract, which they never did. When I brought that to the Patrick's attention, he told me it was mailed and they should receive it by tomorrow.

By this time I was so disappointed by the service I was getting that I called the manager to tell him I changed my mind. He told me he would shred the paperwork and I was all set. Funny, I thought Patrick told me he mailed it.

I never thought I would receive this kind of dishonesty from such a reputable dealership. Such a major disappointment. I don't care to do business with or even recommend them.

I've unfortunately had to come here rather often for recalls or repairs for my 2017 CRV. I typically had pretty brutal customer service experiences with the exception of one time. Ironically, that time I was dealing with a member of the service team (back of house) that had been called to man the front desk to cover for a period. He was lovely and efficient. Despite many otherwise frustrating incidents, I kept coming back because my Honda is still under warranty, and because the dealership was a long walk or a short uber ride from my apartment.

The last straw happened when I scheduled an appointment to have my check engine light issue resolved there this past Saturday morning. I got myself there first thing, and noticed the parking lot was suspiciously empty. To my surprise, I was greeted by a gigantic "WE HAVE MOVED" sign on the door. The dealership moved literally the day before, and no one thought to call, email, smoke signal, anything, people who had scheduled appointments. I called and the gentleman apologized, and offered for me to come get my car serviced in their new location... in Dorchester. For anyone who knows the geography of the city of Boston, this is not a quick journey. I asked him if he had shuttle service set up, to which he replied that they did not. I figured I was the only one who they had "forgotten" to call, until 4 or 5 other Hondas drove up behind me, none of whom were contacted. Even the appointment confirmation had the Commonwealth Ave address on it. I cannot even believe the level of unprofessionalism demonstrated by this dealership. They are lucky that there is a steady stream of business for people with no other choice in this area, for that conduct is unacceptable.

I'll take the inconvenience of going to a dealership farther away, and will never do business with a Herb Chambers dealership again.

I took a half day from work to take my car in for an airbag recall issue that they said I was part of. When I got there, they changed their mind and said my car was not part of the recall - something another dealership, who actually fixed it, disagreed with.

The second time I made an appointment, I made it for a Sunday and clearly laid out what was wrong and what I wanted fixed. When I got there, I was told they only do basic things like oil changes on Sundays and that I would have to come back another day.

The Sales and Leasing Consultant Fabian Garcia arranged an estimate, followed up with me, and reminded me of the date I had planned to bring it in (two months later). Then took care of all the details. I was paid what I consider to be a fair price for the car. Fabian made it simple. When I had the car, I also took it there for service. I thought of it as a spa for cars, since my car got a free wash each time. Good, efficient, friendly staff. Decent prices. People respond to you. The sleaze factor of used car places is kept to a minimum. I highly recommend.

I had gone there simply to check what would be the pricing options for Honda Civic and Accord. I wanted a decent priced Sedan. They made me fill a lot of forms. And finally asked for my SSN number. This wasn t new. I had visited 4 showrooms before going there. I told him politely, if you are going to do a hard check that would reduce my score, please don t use my SSN. They assured me with great confidence, their check is not at all going to change my score. I left and didn t buy the car. Well, as you can tell, 1.5 months down the line, my score fell 8 points. I filed a report request to credit reporting companies. My report clearly states Enquiry from herb chambers Honda. I called them, asking about this. They told me some legal cr#p and said you signed papers.
They will lie to the extent they can squeeze money out from you. By hook or by crook. STAY AWAY! None of the other showrooms Enquiry showed up.

EDIT: Herb chambers replied saying sorry for the trouble. LOL. I called your office. Your manager answered and clearly in a very IMPOLITE way told me to never call again. Keep your FAKE apologies to yourself!!!!

After I told them I wasn't interested in the car, they asked me to hang tight and see what they could do. They did absolutely nothing. Even the salesmen I was scheduled to meet wasn't there and I had to deal with 4 different people. Don't waist your time.

Very disappointed car was posted on 3 websites for sale we test drove the car wanted to buy it a guy who I dont even know if he said his name (maybe from finance) came in told us there were mechanical issues and would need to charge us an additional $2,000 if we wanted the car, he stumbled over what was wrong said it overheated which it clearly didnt during test drive. When we responded why we had to pay more he told us he would not sell us the car. I would definitely give the salesman DeWayne a 5 star review as he was very polite, and helpful and wanted to sell us the vehicle. . Very poor business practice. Went in looking for an affordable car for my girlfriend and i. we do not have the best credit but they were able to work with us and got us an amazing deal for a 2008 Honda Fit! My prior experience of going to a car dealership was similar to getting a root canal but this was just like a simple cleaning ! They were so approachable not only in the store but called to confirm our appointment and make sure our experience was enjoyable! From my sales person keith to the used car manager jason we were treated with so much courtesy and respect they really went above and beyond! My girlfriend loves the car and i love the guys at herb chambers honda in boston for making this experience simple and painless! I've been using their Honda service department for about 3 years and it's honestly the best service experience I've ever had! They have the nicest customer service reps (especially Susan M!) who genuinely care about making my car run well, and their schedule/availability can't be beat. And I always forget that they completely clean my car so it's totally spotless before giving it back to me each time. I used to be wary of going to the dealer, but I won't take my car anywhere else now.

I literally just bought the car a few hours ago. The sales person, Felix, is very professional and followed up with me and help made the deal. The reason I am giving a 2 star review is because of the Sales Manager I had to deal with who is completely unethical and cunning. I have a very busy work life and was dealing with them over the phone after an initial visit and I was confirmed that they will meet my price over the phone and asked me to show up at a time of their convenience., which I did. Again the rude sales manager started to negotiate and ultimately I just said whatever and singed the deal as I really didn't have the energy to haggle with this individual. I than asked for all weather mats to be the part of deal but they declined and said dont worry we will give it to you at cost price. Now at this time it has been 3 hours that I am in their showroom so I just obliged. They charged me $132 for the mats which are listed at 110 on Honda's website, this really pissed me off.

In the whole I work in a busy health care set up and have many overseas colleagues, especially who are up for lease renewal from 2015 and looking to lease a new accord but I will make sure they DO NOT END UP AT THIS LOCATION! Thats probably the reason this Honda dealership is not doing so well.

Herb Chambers always impress of their consistent quality bad customer services, regardless of the location. In this particular one, they failed to explain prior that my recall battery sensor came with a free-of-charge sensor replacement and they ended up convincing my wife to also replace the battery of the car. Luckily I stopped the whole circus over the phone. Also, their delivery time is never right: they say a 2 hour job but it's typically ready in 3-4 hours. Those are minor things that I would be ok with, but, if you charge $56 for an oil change, I would expect a better service.

What I enjoyed most about my experience was that the diagnostic was thorough and the shop printed a sheet that explained why each thing was important and color coded the issues (red, yellow, green) so that I could educate myself.. I left and my car was driving like new again. Despite the busyness of the place, the process was overall easy and the work got done pretty quickly the same day. I would encourage the staff to smile more, and not take their jobs too seriously. You can tell the staff is all under pressure, It was certainly an efficient process, but a little more warmth and genuine hospitality is an important part of customer service. Overall, I'll definitely be returning for service in the future. :)

First time going to the new Morrissey Blvd location. Liked seeing some of the old familiar faces. Physical plant is a down grade. Very disappointed that my service came without the carwash even though the signage states. Best to let customers know up front they don't have the systems yet for what they advertise. Waiting areas are not comfortable and music competes with TV. Just because it's closer doesn't make me want to return.

My experience here was dreadful. I brought my vehicle in at 7:30am I was told pickup will be at 9:15am and I will be getting a call. Never recieved a call nor a response. I show up at 9:47am gave them more time then they needed and still had to wait!! after 2 more hours of waiting I get my car it's has two new dents the oil is leaking never did before !!!! The associate did not even understand me & his manager was a rude women who had no idea what she way saying !!

I had to go meet with the GM Joel Ginsberg just to hear him complain about his own life!!! Then he was describing how cars get damaged in the city nonsense!!!! The city does not hit my vehicle your employees did!! He did not offer anything and refused to even look at the car!! He blamed the entire situation on others with no desire to help!! I lost my wheel lock key so i went to Herb chamber Honda after calling customer services. They took the wheel lock and they replaced with lug nuts. I went to valvoline for tire rotation. They did tests in front of me and they told me that the improper replacement of wheel lock with lug nuts lead to damaged wheel studs. Now, I went again to ask them about this issue, however, they do not have any logs of my car being serviced there. On the top of that they are asking me for evidence that it was their fault and now they are asking me to pay for inspecting about the problem with my vehicle that they created. This is neither right nor a respectable way to treat the customer. Staff was trying to help as they remembered me, however, the manager was very rude. This might not be a new thing for them, but I will end up paying for clearing the mess created by them.

This is the worst car shopping experience I have ever had- and found there was absolutely no communication between staff. I was bounced around between three different people. At one point- after I provided the numbers and names of the used cars I would like to see yet again- I was asked to sit at a desk and was left waiting for over 20 minutes alone. I was given no explanation as to where the sales representative went and proceeded to watch him and many other sales representatives walk by and argue. The car I was shown was disgustingly dirty, and the sales representative did not describe any features of the vehicle to me before, during, or after the test drive. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone.

Went on an incredibly busy Saturday just looking to sit in a Fit to see how comfortable it was. Drove away with an amazing deal on a Civic. Eric, our salesman was incredible and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. The 5-yr. bumper-to-bumper warranty on used cars was a nice surprise as well.

We found a 2012 Honda CR-V at Herb Chambers that we absolutely loved. The whole process took about 2.5 hours and we were in by the next day to pick it up.

Unfortunately, shortly after picking it up we noticed a passenger side door dent and rust spot that we did not notice previously (but would not necessarily be unusual for a used vehicle).

We called Tom at Herb Chambers and explained this. They instructed us to bring the vehicle back by the coming Tuesday for the repair. While the vehicle was being repaired, Herb Chambers even provided a rental vehicle so that I could return to work promptly. After a few days, we picked up the vehicle, dropped the rental at Herb Chambers and were on our way.

My wife and I recently purchased a 2017 Honda HR-V. We have been extremely satisfied with all aspects of this newest model. Its utility, size, mileage, and handling have been just what we were looking for. Our sales consultant Saurav at Herb Chambers Honda of Boston made the process easy, pleasant, fast and hassle free. I would highly recommend Saurav when you are in the market for your next Honda vehicle. Also the finance office provided excellent service.

We had a great experience, expedited car-buying process with knowledgeable and helpful individuals. These folks were very responsive throughout the entire process, keeping constant communication, which is especially important. They were not pushy at all, very cordial and respectable.

Highly recommend them, would definitely go back for any future auto-related purchases.

After searching for months for the ideal car, I must say that I was looking for the ideal staff that would give me the security of having not only the car I wanted but also the special treatment he receives from Mary Lopez and the Herb Chambers Managers. I had a rather unpleasant experience at this dealership.

I was looking to get a Civic 2017 Hatch, EX trim. I had contacted them over email and had an offer. I walked in to discuss the trade in value hoping to sign off the deal. I walked out frustrated due to the attitude of the sales associates.

I met with Alex O, who tried to show me the features of the car I wanted. However, he was not aware of the standard features. For example, he had no idea about the presence of the lane watch camera in a Civic EX hatchback. I know the features, so I could correct him.

I met with another associate, I forgot his name. He tried to justify a pretty hilarious trade in offer for my car. It was around $3000 below KBB. He was adamant that I was wrong to trust KBB and should trust him. When I tried offering him a sensible price (according to me, after understanding the value of my car as per this associate) for the new car, he seemed to be offended. I was under the assumption that low balling is the norm at this dealership. So I was very surprised.

For a company worth couple of billions, I doubt losing a customer is a big deal. However, it would be great if the customers are not taken for a ride as soon as they step into the dealership.
