First time visiting Hendrick Honda to service a car that I recently purchased. My appointment was at 7:30 in the morning and the day before I called to confirm.....was surprised that no one sent a confirmation or other reminder to me for the appointment.
During the call to confirm I was told that I would meet with Clarissa. I arrived at the service department right on time and to my surprise I was told that Clarissa was off....not sure why my appointment was scheduled with an employee that had the day off.
Another very nice lady (cant recall her name) helped me. She took her time to explain their services, upcoming maintenance and the costs. My car was then taken for the transmission fluid exchange ($140 with taxes). Let me stop here by saying that with transmission service there are usually two types of services offered at most repair shops.....a transmission flush (not recommended by Honda) or a fluid exchange where old transmission fluid is removed and new fluid put back in. Most places charge about $149 for a flush and around $80 for the fluid exchange. Found the price at Hendrick Honda to be high.
Proceeded to the waiting room to wait for my car to be finished. While I was waiting I decided to go out to the lot and take a look at the new and used cars. Of course walking around the car lot didn't go unnoticed by sales employees. Shawn approached me and asked what car I am currently driving.....unfortunately for him I had already made the car purchase 3 weeks ago from a dealership in South Carolina (cheaper vehicle taxes and cheaper prices on new & used cars than NC). He took my name and went back inside.
Not long after that my car was ready (took about an hour). I was told that everything with the car is good (as expected) and that I should bring it in for a differential fluid change (only for all wheel drive vehicles). I paid and then decided to walk over to the parts department to ask questions about a cargo shelf that I recently purchased. Two guys sitting behind the counter......neither one very friendly.
I was told what I needed, thanked the guy then proceeded to go outside and take a look at the cargo shelf. The lady that helped me with my service was kind enough to try to help me get the cargo shelf installed (not her job) and when we couldn't figure it out she went inside to get the guy from the parts counter.
Let me stop right here.....when a customer comes in asking questions about parts and is unsure if they have all of the parts that they need someone working in the dealership parts department should get up and come take a look and try to assist the customer. The lady that helped me with my vehicle service went inside to get the guy from the parts department to come outside. He then figured out that the two cargo pieces are not working because I don't have the clips that are needed to secure the shelf. I then go back inside to the parts area with him so that he can look the clips up on the computer....side note: if he would have come out and looked at the car when I came in the first time with questions we could have saved time on back and forth.
Ordered the clips and will pick up today. Overall a pleasant first time experience. I will bring my car back in a couple of weeks for a differential fluid change ($107).
My take away is this. For some services I will bring my car to Hendrick and for some services I will bring my car to a regular repair shop.....dealership repair shop is always more expensive.
My salesperson was Tony Howsare. Tony was such a joy to work with! He had a great personality & was not a pushy salesman at all. He was very kind and made sure the vehicle I was purchasing was clean and ready to go! There was a couple interior scratches & he made sure they were fixed - he even sent me pictures of it fixed before I came back to the dealership to pick up my new ride!! That was very thoughtful.
Another guy helped me out Friday night when I came to pick up my car, his name was Shawn. Very nice guy! He made sure everything was alright before I left the dealership which was very nice.
Charles, one of the managers, was also very helpful and nice. Kelly (in Finance), was very pleasant as well. I never encountered one bad person there, and that means a lot.
I am really pleased with Hendrick Honda and will recommend this dealership to anyone. I drove over an hour and a half to buy this vehicle and would make the drive again just because of their wonderful service and nice employees! :)

I had the unfortunate experience of having my 2013 CR-V rear ended and totaled and the collision department and Justin kept me well informed of the claim process. Do not purchase anything from this dealership ever. I purchased a Honda Pilot and 36 days later after my other vehicle was long gone sold they contact me and say that the financing fell through. And never heard anything back from them during that 36 day timeframe. 14 days later Mr. Russell the financing person that was working on my deal contacted me for copy of another document. At that time I asked him was their problem with the loan and do you need the vehicle back. He stated in a text message no I will handle it. Mr. Russell also admitted that he dropped the ball on this and takes full responsibility and that he should have turned in the paperwork closing out the financing deal within 24 to 72 hours of me leaving the dealership. So now at this point I'm going to be without a vehicle Christmas is in a week and a 1/2 and I have to now figure out what I'm going to do for vehicle. The dealership is not willing to do anything to accommodate the price of this vehicle to match whatever loan value they clean they got me approve 4. At this point I really don't know what to believe other than that this is a terrible dealership and I would not purchase anything from them ever.

Made an appointment at my convenience for regular maintenance. Door to Service Entrance opened immediately upon my arrival. Service issues were quickly written up, and other topics were discussed. During the tire rotation, the slow leak in one tire was caused by a nail, and that tire was plugged. This last item caused more service time, but better than having a flat tire on the road. Great service.

Recently my son was looking for a car but couldn't quite find the right car that would fit into his budget. We went several dealerships and was told he couldn't get financed, or he couldn't get the kind of car he wanted. Will definitely never purchase a car from this dealership ever again no exchange policy is Frustrating for me purchase a car 3 days ago After haveing it a couple of days traveling in charlotte traffic every morning in a manual is Extremely hard but now I'm stuck with a car I will not be able to drive but have to pay for I called the sales guy Carlos To see if there was anything the managers can do In this situation to just switch to a different vehicle on the lot and he said to trade it in doesn't make sense on a car purchased 3 days ago not willing to try and help one bit. But will definitely take your money in a heart beat with a smile And said a manager will give me a call but never received one .Definitely lost a purchasing customer.
After much research and shopping around local dealerships we decided to go with Hendrick Honda. We chose the highly rated Honda Pilot and were very impressed with all the standard features offered, especially the back up camera, which is essential with kids and pets around. We first negotiated a very competitive price with Sam Reynolds over the phone and then went into the dealership that night and purchased the car through Jess Johnson. The entire process of negotiating a price to all the paper work and financing, was as smooth as can be there. There was no re nagging on price, no haggling or pressure over extra packages or services, once we said no, they were respectful or your choices. All around an honestly seamless process and I would highly recommend this dealership and Jess Johnson if you are looking to purchase/lease a car.

I called this dealership asking if they were hiring and asked what time would be good to have a sit down interview. We arranged to meet at 3 pm. I arrived over 30 min early so I could fill out the application and get ready for my interview. The people behind the front desk were very nice and welcoming. Even one of the managers there seemed like a kind guy. He ended up being one of the people thst interviewed me. He told me that I would need to interview with two other people. I was fine with that and waited a little while longer. I was interduced to another manager who almost right of the bat insulted me by saying that I need to work on my stuttering. Keep in mind I was nervous and was on an interview. Also, there is the other fact that I can't help my stuttering because of medical issues. However, I don't let my Sutter get in the way of my every day life. You see, I really could of stopped the manager in mid sentence and told him off. I or anyone else should not be exposed to the degrading lanuage from anyone. This is especially a manager who is suppose to be repasenting a big name car dealership like Hendric Honda.

Justin Bowers and the whole team at the collision center are THE BEST!! There was some confusion about the extent of the repairs they were supposed to perform on my 2011 Honda Accord - I wanted less, they thought I wanted more. I thought I was just spending my $500 deductible, but they did an additional $110 worth of repairs to my car. I only learned that when they called to tell me my car was ready to pick up. After an unsuccessful attempt to reach my insurance adjuster to clarify who was confused, I went ahead & picked up my car. When I went in and Justin asked me how I was, I responded that I was a little confused. I explained that clearly there was a misunderstanding and that I had tried to reach the adjuster. I was prepared to pay the $610 and come back on Monday to discuss it with the adjuster, but before I could even get that far, Justin waived the entire $110 charge. I was gob smacked. I literally stood in the middle of that office in complete disbelief mouth open, head shaking, the whole bit. I didn t ask for that, I wasn t angry or upset I knew there was a communications breakdown somewhere and knew full well that it could have been ME who was confused! I could not be more pleased or impressed with the service I have received. And my car looks beautiful! Hendricks has earned themselves a truly loyal customer! I m going to let them do the tire rotation/balancing thing as soon as I can make the appointment.
I want to thank you for your help, your patience and your honesty. Normally these sorts of situations are stressful, and this was not at all. And while I hope I never have to see you in a professional setting ever again, if I do have another issue I will be coming straight to Justin and Hendricks!
I would absolutely recommend Hendrick Honda in Charlotte. Hands down this has been one of the best experiences that I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. The customer service is superb. I genuinely felt like my voice was heard. Hendrick worked to find the right fit for me. There was no rush to make a quick sell. They heard my need, sought out different solutions, and created a viable option catered to my style. They even delivered by car right to my door step. They made every effort to ensure that this process was as easy as possible. You would be crazy to go anywhere else to buy a car.
The purchasing process was painless enough. We purchased a used Odyssey in mid-December for a fair price. The sales guy, Chip, was nice enough but the sales manager was a real jerk. I told Chip the guy's arrogance was almost enough to make me walk out. I am skeptical how thorough they are in they checks of used cars before selling them. The day after getting the van home we noticed 1 brake light and 1 back up light were out. This week when the heat wave hit and it was nearly 80 degrees Tuesday, we turned on the AC for the first time and it doesn't work---only blows hot air. I emailed our salesman to see if Hendrick could make this right and so far no response. This was literally the first time we've turned on the AC and it is broken. I seriously doubt it was tested before selling it...just like the lights were checked. We've owned it just over 2 months and it has to go to a shop. First and last purchase from Hendrick Honda.

I saw so many positive reviews that I decided to visit, but I suspect these guys change face depending on the customer and what stereotypes they hold. I called and made an appointment with a salesman after having them transfer the new car to the lot. I was prepared to walk off the lot with the new touring, no financing needed from Honda. I could not believe how janky the salesmen were towards me. The guy I worked with even tried to hustle me out of money for the car being transferred. This was very odd, weird, unprofessional and trashy. I will never visit this place again nor refer anyone. I'd rather catch a greyhound bus to California to buy a Honda than visit this place again.
Ned Hindi was very attentive to my needs and followed up on everything that was promised. A very pleasant experience with the purchase of our Honda. I would highly recommend this experienced salesperson.
We bought two Certified Used Accords from Hendrick Honda over the past 2 years, a 2012 and 2013. Both times we left the dealership feeling we received a fair price and were very happy with the condition of the vehicles. While purchasing the second Accord there was a verbal agreement that they'd touch up a few dings if I could swing the vehicle back by sometime the following week. With my busy work schedule, and needing the vehicle, I didn't make it back and just let it go. Months later, when I had free time, I stopped into the dealership and spoke with Sales Manager Stephen Pecha. I explained the situation and that I realized it was my fault for not getting back quicker and I understood if I had missed my opportunity. He was as cool as could be and scheduled for touch up the next day. I just picked up the vehicle and it looks great. Not only did they fix the original blemishes but they also touched up a chip and a door ding which occurred after we took ownership of the vehicle. Thank you Stephen and Hendrick Honda for making us feel valued as customers!
One of the worst service centers. They accept vehicles more than they can handle. Can't even estimate approx time. Imagine a simple service taking over 4 hours even after schedulong it. If you ask any questions then you are rude. But they are never.most inefficient personnel.
I found Hendricks Honda to be an extremely professional dealership. I dealt with Sean McLane and numerous other associates. Sean was a straightforward business professional and was upfront on all costs associated with my Civic purchase. It was nice to expirence a vechicle purchase without the hassle and gimmicks that I have found with a lot of other dealerships. I lease a vechicle every three years, and I can honestly say that Hendrick Honda has been the best overall experience. I just came off a three year BMW lease, and I wish I visited Hendrick Honda three years ago. The Honda features blew away my BMW at a cost of 10k less the BMW badge. HORRIFIC service experience! I had an appointment for an oil change and for them to look at the DVD player that wasn t working at 8:00 AM. I said that I had HondaCare extended warranty which should cover the DVD player. Dropped off the car and waited. 3 hrs and 15 minutes later I get a sheet of repairs my car supposedly needs worth $2,900. Among others, there was the DVD player, new rear shocks and a transmission fluid change. I declined the extra services and they said: Ok, I ll let them know so they can get started on it. Great! So I ve been in the waiting room for 3 hrs and 15 mins and my car has not even started on? What is the point of appointments? No apology, no explanation nothing. Horrible customer service. On top of that, when I mentioned that I had the transmission fluid changed here 6 months ago, their reply was: Well, maybe we can test it again. Or in other words, we want to change the fluid on every car regardless if the car needs it or not and charge you $66. I said that if the transmission fluid is still dirty after 6 months then they either need to redo it since it wasn t done properly or something is wrong with the transmission which also needs to be remedied. Then came the checkout process they wanted to charge me for the DVD player and other things even though I had the extended warranty. So then they had to find the warranty, what it covers, take off the charges, adjust things, etc. I kid you not for me to check out it took over 30 minutes. Again, no apology nothing. So in essence I spent 4 hrs at the service center for an oil change. I think I ll finish this ordeal here and stay away.
My wife and I visited Hendrick Honda on Saturday, 3/14 to investigate the Honda Odyssey and how it would fit into the needs of our growing family (now with 2 kids under 3). Carlos Coyle was an absolute lynch pin in providing courteous and professional service, answering questions and helping us make our decision with absolutely no pressure applied. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this dealership. I went in to inquire about the navigation upgrades from my 2015 and ended up with a 2018 Touring model Accord. I was recommended to talk to JAY LEVIN and I quickly understood why. His product knowledge was incredibly impressive and I truly felt like he cared he cared about meeting my actual needs instead of trying to upsell me. When the time came, SEAN MCLANE assisted in getting the best deal for my budget, allowing me to upgrade to the Touring model, just like my 2015. It s very refreshing to walk into a dealership and feel like the staff is just as excited as you are to get the car you want versus just making a sale. Even the manager, GUS FORBES, kept checking on me and went above and beyond in ensuring I was happy with everything and wouldn t have buyer s remorse. I strongly recommend this dealership to anyone looking, or even just curious as I was as well as the 2018 car of the year Accord!

WTG, Jeff Kirby!!! I got the car I wanted to begin with!!! I live in Indian Trail, went to a closer Honda dealership, had my 2014 CR-V appraised while I was there trying to buy a 2017 CR-V EX, sandstorm, cloth interior, from my original salesmen, he wasn't there, they did call him to notify I was there. The other salesmen there told me I would have to wait 2 months, my original salesman would call me the next day, no call. So at that point I needed to look for another color but my salesman from the dealership closer to me didn't call to try and offer me something different.
On the 22aug, I checked the Charlotte dealership's inventory online, there was not one but TWO of the same CR-V I was looking for at Hendrick Honda, set up an appointment, got my car!!! HENDRICK HONDA, JEFF KIRBY YOU ROCK!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
I gave this a very poor rating after having gone there with tire issues. Then 2 weeks later coming back again with tire issues, but Jeff the service gentleman I had worked with before took it over and made sure they found what was causing the leaking tire. Jeff did an awesome job taking care of the problem and getting me to my granddaughter s recital on time. Thank you Jeff.

Went in several times they called me saying they would have a better deal and everytime offered same deal one of the directors messaged me being very rude. After i declined the same offer again and aaid to stop wasting my time.
After being in a serious accident that totaled our Honda CRV, my husband and I knew right away that we wanted another Honda; after all, it was because of how well the Honda was made that saved our lives. We went to other Honda dealerships; however, we were not impressed with the salesmen due to lack of knowledge about the SUV we were wanting. We knew what we were looking for but we wanted to make sure we got the right car for our growing family. We then decided to go to Hendrick Honda and met Jay Levin. He was so friendly, not pushy at all, immediately knew the answers to our questions, and made us feel like we were welcomed and part of the Hendrick family. We highly recommend that if anyone is in the market for a car, choose Hendrick Honda, and definitely choose Jay Levin to work with. It was a wonderful experience in the mist of a stressful time for our family.
Had an appt. for a minor repair and an oil change. Arrived and employees ignored me for 5 minutes before another employee came over (while bickering at other employees for being lazy). He was rude and unreceptive to doing the scheduled repair. Wanted to re-check engine codes for $100+ (though I had them printed out) and then said he couldn't get the part. We settled on just doing the oil change. 2 hours later, I'm still sitting here and no one has spoken to me. It shouldn't take over 2 hours for a scheduled oil change.
Really great customer service. Had a small issue with our Honda Odyssey and the service department took care of it at no charge. Everyone was super kid friendly which was important as I had my 4 year old daughter with me! Would recommend to family and friends without hesitation. w
