Love the preserved interior and murals here, as well as the great beer and wine selection. Grocery section is limited but adequate. If you're stopping for lunch during the week on a nice day prepare for lines to be very long.
Does anyone ever actually shop the grocery aisles here? Lol Outstanding place for any type of hot or cold food your heart desires. You can come here for any meal of the day and walk out pretty happy. Come here for the beer and wine too! The whole second floor has all the beer and wine you could ever need. They have plenty of wine tasting machines as well as beer on tap and local canned or bottled beer that you can open and drink right there! Most amazing grocery store ever!

This location is definitely more than just a grocery store. It is a fun place to come and visit and go explore the second floor wine tasting area. You can easily grab a few samples of wine as well as enjoy some food from the snack shop nearby. Of course, you can go down to the first floor and get some fresh hot food from the deli and bring it back upstairs to enjoy a nice glass or two of wine. The building itself is very historic and the architecture as well as painting all along the ceiling is absolutely stunning. This is truly an experience to remember for a long time. Area is extremely clean and safe and secure, nearby parking and transportation is conveniently located. I certainly recommend this location as one of your stops if you have never been there before.

It stinks in there before they closed it due to the rioting from May 2020. Now that it's reopening I hope that it doesn't have the same stinky smell.

Grew up in Cleveland and moved to NC, was back for high school reunion. Was a stop on our trolley tour. It is in an old, beautiful bank building with a picturesque rotunda... I used to bank there when I was young. Odd to see it used in this way, but very useful. Been remodeled into a downtown grocery for all the urbanite dwellers. Cleveland is moving up! All the usual Heinen's offerings and service. Not sure though if the workers mind all the tourists coming in to look around...

Heinens is a place where you can go do your food shopping while you have a glass of wine. Its for anyone who doesnt mind eating before they shop or sitting with your friends for lunch and have a taste testing of different wines they have. The people are knowledgeable and if on some crazy day, they don't know, they will certainly not mind finding out for you. They have delicious sweets that make people come back and buy dozens at a time. If you love sushi they have it there too, with sushi Wednesday $5 sale. You just can't beat a good store that thinks about the customer and the customers needs.

Went there to get a quick bite to eat. Was amazed by the great quality of plant based foods. The vegan chicken salad was the best ever tasted. Wish there was a location in my hometown Hampton, Ga. Will definitely visit again.

A great place. One of the employees upstairs by the wine bar took us on a tour and showed us the vault and a couple other things that you just wouldn't notice if you didn't look at it. I still gave it 5 Stars even though the girl who checked us out, ignored us when we asked how she was and when we left we told her to have a good evening she ignored us. I can't expect everybody to have a good day, I guess. My wife and I make sure to make it a stop every time we're downtown.

Had the worst experience with a cashier named Lisa, truly pathetic, the first in for years, and the new managers covered over her behavior as if nothing serious happened. But she will do the same thing to another unsuspecting customer and hopefully they will react the way I wanted to but chose not to!
