I find myself posting a second Google review on Heffner Lexus in as many weeks. If I could give a rating of 10 stars, I would and it would be more than justified. The story that follows is truly unbelievable, a testament to the customer focussed culture at Heffner Lexus, and the actions of two remarkable employees.
I own two Lexus vehicles....a GS460 4 door sedan and a SC430 hardtop convertible. I was planning to leave for Florida at 6AM on Saturday, March 16, driving the sedan as the purpose of the trip was to bring personal goods back to Canada. I had the car all loaded and ready to go by late Friday afternoon. I jumped in the car to run a quick errand, and when I started the car I noticed the check engine light and vehicle stability lights illuminated, and the engine was sputtering. I took pictures of the alarms with my phone and jumped in my SC430 and headed for Heffner s.
I arrived at 5:55PM, just as Desi Di Lello, a Product Advisor in Lexus New Vehicle Sales, was just wrapping up for the day. We sat in his office and I shared my dilemma...I was scheduled to leave for Florida in 12 hours, I couldn t take the sedan because it wasn t running properly and I couldn t take the convertible because it was didn t have sufficient space to hold all of the goods I needed to bring back to Canada.
Desi texted Ashley Snowden, the Assistant Service Manager and she called him immediately. They were concerned that even if we brought my vehicle in for repair, it may require a part that had to be ordered, further delaying my departure for Florida. He finished the call, politely excused himself for a few minutes while I waited in his office. Desi returned and took me outside to show me their solution . He casually handed me the keys to a Lexus NX200T, full loaded F Sport SUV. He said just use this vehicle and let s worry about getting your sedan repaired when you return. I was beyond shocked! I confirmed that both he and Ashley were aware that I was driving to Florida. He said in his discussion with Ashley they both wanted me to have a safe and reliable vehicle for my trip. He then sat inside the vehicle and began to train me on many of the incredible new features that Lexus has introduced. He gave me his business card with his contact information and was adamant that I call him any time if I had any questions or concerns.
I returned to Lexus this past Wednesday to drop off the loaner and pick up my convertible. Incidentally, when I returned home, I started my GS460 and all alarms had cleared and it ran smoothly???
When I walked into the service center, I saw Ashley. She smiled and her first question was how was the vehicle....did it suit my needs? She said that when Desi called, she was trying to determine the best loaner vehicle she had available that would be most comfortable for me, given the type of vehicle I drove. I said the vehicle was perfect and thanked her profusely. I felt guilty when I told Ashley that my vehicle was now running fine without alarms. She suggested I drive it and if there are any problems, just bring it straight to Heffner s and she ll have it checked out.
I d like to personally thank Desi and Ashley for offering a loaner vehicle without hesitation. The combined efforts of these two employees has set a level of excellence for customer service that is unbelievable . I must applaud the leadership team at Heffner s for empowering their employees with the authority to make such significant decisions in support of customer service. Again, this goes beyond even the wildest and highest of expectations. Thanks so much again to Ashley Snowden and Desi Di Lello for their genuine concern for my predicament and their generosity with their time in providing such an incredible solution to my problem.
I priced out an SUV rental for the same time frame and distance. The approximate price of a rental would be just over $1400..and it wasn t even a Lexus!
