The Glencoe Golf & Country Club Review

Oldest and classiest Golf course and clubhouse in Calgary.

I have been a member here now for 3 seasons and have seen the course go from an amazing facility to now pretty much a semi-private course.
There are too many guest bookings and the pace of play has slowed considerably.
Unfortunately with only 1 Marshall for 45 holes, it is difficult to control people playing loud music and smoking pot on the course - definitely not keen on taking my 8 year old out most days
Course condition is great but spend too much time fixing ball marks on the greens - common courtesy lacking.
The extra food charge is not needed as well
Disappointing to see the changes over the past few years and after having played other private courses across Western Canada, Glencoe has missed the mark.

Spent a great day with my friend. It started to rain, and we ended our day in the club house, the sirloin steak was good!

Do not consider this venue for your wedding. Completely disappointing customer service and quality considering the cost. Would not recommend.

One of the nicest golf courses I've played around Calgary. Everything here was in top notch shape, including the range.

A fabulous facility, but they really need to review the Forest course for playability, having to hit a high flop shot on every hole, is a design flaw that needs to be fixed.

Established club providing excellent services to a private membership. A variety of courses are available to challenge a wide variety of golf skills across all ages. An award winning practice facility, fantastic food, and a top tier clubhouse make this facility very desirable.

I go to Glencoe, and although the course is hard, it is a lot of fun. The pro shop is very nice, offering an abundance of gear. The food is great, but expensive. So is the pro shop.

Wonderful setting and we are lucky to have a beautiful facility that we can use all year round.

Amazing place for events, great staff, great service and always provide amazing food! Plus their decor is always amazing!

Spectacular course and service. If you ever have a chance to play golf here or go for a bite to eat definitely go.

The course is in amazing shape and still ranks among the finest courses in all of Alberta.

Only went for a winter walk round a few of the holes. Pathways were cleared and there were kids sledding.

Our violin and cello duo was booked to perform for a wedding ceremony this past July 2013, and everything was perfect. Recommended.

2.5 golf courses to choose from. Tucked away from busy Calgary. Nice walk in the park. Offers a really tough course. Not sure about the other golf course. Great practice facilities

Great conditions on the Forest currently. It was rough out there today in the serious wind. It was ridiculous but more sheltered than the Meadows. I Parred 18 which was Awesome. DM.

Outstanding facility. Probably the best if not one of the best practice facilities in Canada.

Exemplary staff and facilities, the entire grounds is kept to a quality of the highest possible standard. The quality of service is absolutely worth the price of membership. I would recommend this place to anyone with the means to afford membership. This place treats its members right.

The Glencoe Golf and Country Club is a fantastic private facility with 45 holes to play, state of the art practice area, terrific teaching professionals and a charming club house.

Food is getting better, their brussel sprouts are craveable.........the Carpazo Rosso goes well with them!!!!! Highly recommend......wine list still needs work. Golf course is gorgeous

The Glen Forest course at Glencoe Golf & Country Club is a championship layout that ranks with some of the best in Canada. This tree-lined and open parkland course provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. However, this is a private course generally playable only by members and their guests.

The cpurse is in absolutely perfect condition. Great day with friends.

Attended a drone flying seminar here for the first time. Very nice location. Although some of the rooms were not labeled very well.

The younger staff need to be work minded, had to repeat order and never got a thanks, enjoyed the middle aged staff as they were friendly and professional and even remember name

Great golf course with great maintenance and staff. I have played here several times and would recommend anyone who gets the chance should go. It is a private club so you need to know someone who is a member to play here. The clubhouse also has good food if you want to stay for dinner after playing.

Not very helpful staff, felt like they had an elitist attitude.

I m not a member. It s a pleasure to play this course any time I get the chance. Best maintained greens in the city!

Excellent service. Try the bison burger when you're done a round of golf. Very reasonably priced overall. Must come with a member
